Problems of alternative means of Inhabitants Registration Identification Number on Internet and their Countermeasures (인터넷상의 주민등록번호 대체수단의 문제점들과 해결방법)

  • As internet is wide spread, the number of internet service provider is increased. Internet service providers gather the personnel information with inhabitants registration identification number for the user management and the adult authentication. The personnel information is spreaded thorough the Internet by the system hacking, mismanagement and malicious resale. And the personnel information is used for spam email, phishing scams, etc. by malicious others. So the Ministry of Information and Communication Republic of Korea developments I-PIN system of the personnel identification. But, I-PIN has some problem the guideline for it and the method of 5 I-PIN services. In this paper, we analyze the problem about the guideline for I-PIN and the method of 5 I-PIN services. And we propose the countermeasure about the problem.

Design of a Data Grid Model between TOS and HL7 FHIR Service for the Retrieval of Personalized Health Resources (개인화된 건강 자원 조회를 위한 TOS 와 HL7 FHIR 서비스간의 데이터그리드 모델 설계)

  • On the ICT healing platform designed to issue early disease alerts, TOS connected between the provider of personal health-related data and the service provider and relayed personalized health data. In the previous study, TOS proposed how to monitor the retrieval and management of document/measurement resources by taking mobile devices into account. Recently the healthcare field, however, defined the standard items needed for communication and data exchanges with a mobile device through HL7 FHIR. This study designed a data grid model between TOS and FHIR to provide personal health resources relayed through TOS in FHIR bundle search sets. The proposed design was organized as follows: first, it stated similarities between the method of TOS resource request and that of FHIR observation request. Then, it designed an eventbus module to process a retrieval request for FHIR service based on the imdb and cluster technologies. The proposed design can be used to expand the old service terminals of ICT healing platform to mobile health devices capable of using FHIR resources.

  • As the Internet has been growing, WWW(World Wide Web) based services were popularized and users using the service were increased excessively. To support these environments, a processing of many transactions became an essential consideration. There are many researches regarding the user profiling on web services to support those transactions effectively. Most of them are just for grasping the comsumer's preferences. However, a trend of recent web service is not limited what they are doing between consumers and providers; a consumer can become a provider and also a provider can become a consumer virtual open environments such as open market on the internet. For this reason, it is necessary to inspect a preference of consumers as well as providers one. In this paper, we proposed personal preference tree(PPT) reflecting the preferences for providers and implemented the module applying to the web service, and evaluated the applicability the personal preference module through a simulation.

  • In this paper, we proposed the Failure-Diagnostic Context-awareness Middleware (FDCM) for improving the reliability in the USN application service. The middleware diagnoses the failure occurred in sensors or facilities in the indoor USN application system. The new middleware suggested in this paper consists of DataManagement module, ContextProvider module, Contextlnterpreter module, ServiceProvider module and DataStorage module. By analysing the data obtained by the interaction between modules through the diagnostic algorithm, the FDCM determines the malfunction of sensors and equipment devices. Then we verified the performance of middleware by using simulation. As a result, the FDCM showed the high performance in the large systems that many of the sensors and devices are installed.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for transmitting SMS(Short Message Service) for VoIP(Voice over IP) service supporting multi-protocol. The multi-protocol VoIP under consideration are generally composed of H.323, SIP and MGCP and Most ITSPs(Internet Telephony Service Provider) provide VoIP service with H.323 and SIP now. SMS is killer application in mobile telecom service and many people of various field use that service. For example, user can send many SMS messages and substitute e-mail. Also SMS can be provided with various internet application. Ahn, legacy phone of KT, can use SMS. Therefore VoIP phone also can be required with the same requirement. With the multi-protocol VoIP we will propose several methods sending efficiently SMS. To show the validity of the proposed method some examples are given in which the results can be expected by intuitive observation.

  • Real-time communication and diversification of multimedia application services using high-capacity data over the Internet demand high speed connection, and real-time and high-speed access internet service such as multimedia make Internet traffic increase rapidly. Meanwhile, QoS (Quality of Service) of internet service is not satisfied. In this situation, ISP (Internet Service Provider) has been required to improve service quality and extend network according to the user's needs. This request includes issue of extending network focused on increasing router and the number of routing table as well as simply extending bandwidth.

  • This paper is related to the optimal pricing of Internet Backbone Services that are differentiated according to the size of the bandwidth required for applications with different quality sensitivities, Itdiscusses IBP (Internet Backbone Provider) optimal nonlinear pricing process in the presence of a congestion externality in addition to strategic behavior by users. In this scenario, the quality of service provided may reach its socially optimal level irrespective of strategic behavior by users and may be independent of the characteristics of the applications delivered over the Internet.

  • Recently, broadband access networks have been competitively deployed all over the world with the development of various multimedia services for such a network. ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) built the FTTH(Fiber-To-the-Home) service center to develop a next-generation equipment and a high-quality service/platform as well as to promote domestic industry in the field of optical communication. The FTTH service center has a variety of test equipments such as FTTH standard testbed for a BMT(bench mark test), a network operation center, and IPTV service equipments. Also, ETRI deployed a new type of commercial optical access networks cooperating with ISP(Internet Service Provider). This paper presents the performance evaluation of FTTH E-PON(Ethernet Passive Optical Network) system as a platform for TPS(Triple Play Service) based on QoS(Quality of Service) and QoE(Quality of Expericence) issues. This FTTH E-PON system is successfully demonstrated as an optical access network system by commercial network service provider and the FTTH service center of ETRI.

The Intention to switch Broadband Internet Service Providers (초고속인터넷 서비스 사업자 전환의도)

  • This study examined the variables that affect whether consumers change broadband internet services by examining their past experiences and intention to switch carriers by targeting consumers who have switched broadband internet service providers. Among adult consumers who intended to switch broadband providers, 341 people who had experience were subject to logistic regression analysis using SPSS for Windows ver. 17.0 to examine frequencies, means, percentages, and factor analysis. The following results were revealed. First, the targets were currently using broadband internet service in the order Company S > Company L > Company K > others. Excluding the others, Company K had the most conversions (from 96 to 78), followed by Company S (from 107 to 97), and Company L (from 43 to 97), which more than doubled the number of subscribers. The reasons for switching carriers in the past were as follows: for Company K, consumers switched to other companies because of unsatisfactory fee services; for Company S, consumers switched to other companies because of quality, advertising and promotional activities, and commitment periods ending; for Company L, the consumers switched to other companies because of fee, quality, and service; and for other companies, the consumers switched to other services because of unsatisfactory quality. Second, the analysis of the elements that determined whether a consumer will switch broadband internet service providers showed that college graduates and individuals who had switched carriers voluntarily in the past were more likely to switch to a new broadband internet service provider. Furthermore, passive consumers had a higher probability of switching. Moreover, when consumers were less satisfied with the fees and services, there was a greater chance of switching to another company.

  • Our platform introduced in this paper is based on DAVIC specifications which define high quality multimedia services with some extensions to provide user friendly and uniform interface to its users. We designed and implemented an integrated service platform for high quality interactive multimedia services, swithed digital broadcasting, and Internet services. The integration in terms of a service provider system, a delivery system, and a service user system is taken into account. Our research results in the development of integrated high quality interactive and digital broadcasting multimedia services with web-based common user interface and its experience will be feedback to the field trial service which will be launched from next year.
