We propose an algorithm for augmenting a real video sequence with views of graphics ojbects without metric calibration of the video camera by representing the motion of the video camera in projective space. We define a virtual camera, through which views of graphics objects are generated. attached to the real camera by specifying image locations of the world coordinate system of the virtual world. The virtual camera is decomposed into calibration and motion components in order to make full use of graphics tools. The projective motion of the real camera recovered from image matches has a function of transferring the virtual camera and makes the virtual camera move according to the motion of the real camera. The virtual camera also follows the change of the internal parameters of the real camera. This paper shows theoretical and experimental results of our application of non-metric vision to augmented reality.
In mathematics education we have focused on how to improve the problem-solving ability, which makes its way to the new direction with the introduction of meta-cognition. As meta-cognition is based on cognitive activity of learners and concerned about internal properties, we may find a more effective way to generate learners problem-solving power. Its means that learners can regulate cognitive process according to their gorls of learning by themselves. Moreover, they are expected to make active participation through this process. If specific meta problems designed to develop meta-cognition are offered, learners are able to work alone by means of their own cognition and regulation while solving problems. They can transfer meta-cognition to the other subjects as well as mathematics. The studies on meta-cognition conducted so far may be divided into these three types. First in Flavell([3]) meta-cognition is defined as the matter of being conscious of one's own cognition, that is, recognizing cognition. He conducted an experiment with presschoolers and children who just entered primary school and concluded that their cognition may be described as general stage that can not link to specific situation in line with Piaget. Second, Brown([1], [2]) and others argued that meta-cognition means control and regulation of one's own cognition and tried to apply such concept to classrooms. He tried to fined out the strategies used by intelligent students and teach such types of activity to other students. Third, Merleary-Ponty (1962) claimed that meta-cognition is children's way of understanding phenomena or objects. They worked on what would come out in children's cognition responding to their surrounding world. In this paper following the model of meta-cognition produced by Lester ([7]) based on such ideas, we develop types of meta-cognition. In the process of meta-cognition, the meta-cognition working for it is to be intentionally developed and to help unskilled students conduct meta-cognition. When meta-cognition is disciplined through meta problems, their problem-solving power will provide more refined methods for the given problems through autonomous meta-cognitive activity without any further meta problems.
Abstract This paper describes the design and implementation of software framework which supports the processing of real-time stream data like audio and video in distributed object-oriented computing environment. DAViS(Distributed Object Framework supporting Audio/Video Streaming), proposed in this paper, abstracts software components concerning the processing of audio/video data as distributed objects and separates the transmission path of data between them from that of control information. Based on DAViS, distributed applications can be written in the same abstract level as is provided by the existing distributed environment in handling audio/video data. DAViS has a flexible internal structure enough to easily incorporate new types of audio/video data and to rapidly accommodate the progress of underlying network and computer system technology with very little modifications.

We propose an Agent-based Fault Tolerant Object Group model based on the agent technology and FTOG model with replication mechanism for effective object management and fault recovery. We define the five kind of agents - internal processing agent, registration agent, state handling agent, user interface agent, and service agent - that extend the functions of the FTOG model. The roles of the agents in the proposed model are to reduce the remote interactions between distributed objects and provide more effective service execution. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed model, we implemented the Intelligent Home Network Simulator (IHNS) which virtually provides general home networking services. Through the simulations, it is validated that the proposed model decreases the interactions of the object components and supports the effective fault recovery, while providing more stable and reliable services.

Background: Muscle weakness and impaired trunk muscle control are common in stroke patients. The bridging exercise (BE) is generally used for trunk stabilization and improving the overall function of stroke patients. The effectiveness of the BE with hip adductor contraction (BEHA) in facilitating trunk muscle activation has been well studied in healthy adults. However, the impact of BEHA in sub-acute stroke patients has not yet been investigated. Objects: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of BEHA on the electromyography (EMG) activities and the asymmetry of the rectus abdominis (RA), external oblique (EO) and internal oblique (IO) abdominal muscles. Methods: Twenty participants with sub-acute stroke (11 males and 9 females) were recruited. Each participant was asked to perform bridging exercises for five seconds under three different conditions: BE in a neutral position (BEN), BEHA with a large ball (BEHAL) and BEHA with a small ball (BEHAS). The EMG amplitudes of the bilateral RA, EO and IO and the asymmetry of the EMG activity between the sound and affected sides were compared among the conditions. The significance level was set at ${\alpha}=.05$. Results: The EMG activities of RA, EO and IO were significantly greater during BEHAL and BEHAS than during BEN (p<.05); the asymmetry of the RA, EO and IO decreased significantly during BEHAL and BEHAS compared to BEN (p<.05). However, no measured variables showed any significant differences between BEHAL and BEHAS (p>.05). Conclusion: This study compared the EMG activities of the RA, EO and IO on both sides and the asymmetry of the RA, EO and IO during BEN, BEHAL and BEHAS. Our findings suggest that BEHA was more effective for individuals with hemiplegic stroke at facilitating and normalizing abdominal muscle control than BEN.
The overall consumption of meat is increasing as the level of national income increases. The end weight is a trait closely associated with dressed meat. Genome-wide association study (GWAS) is an effective method of analyzing genetic variation and gene identification associated with a number of natural alternative traits because it can detect variations. So this paper did a GWAS analysis to identity the location on the genome related to the end weight in purebred landrace pigs and to explore the relevant candidate gene. This study identified a significant single nucleotide poly morphism (SNP) marker in chromosome 6 (ASGA0029422, $p=1.22{\times}10^{-6}$). Adhesion G protein-coupled receptor L2 (ADGRL2) was found to be the candidate gene at the identified SNP marker location. ADGRL2 genes have been found to be associated with cell development in relation to the external and internal environment of a cell. In addition, genotype and statistical analyses were done on nine variations on the exon of ADGRL2. The results show that the SNP marker (ASGA0029422, $p=1.32{\times}10^{-6}$) was significant, but the significance of the nine variations on the ADGRL2 exon was not verified. However, by performing further experiments and functional studies on other SNPs showing possible genetic ADGRL-Exon mutations, objects with high associations of high-end weights can be selected.

In this paper, we present a modeling method for the real-time systems. This method is based on the DARTS (Design Approach for Real-Time Systems) and widely extended to analysis phase. The DARTS method provides a good guideline for the real -time software design, but it uses structured analysis and does not provide a specification language. So. this paper provides extended DARTS modeling techniques to the analysis area based on the objects. Internal behavior of system showed by means of a NPN (Numerical Petri Net) for analysis, and the specification language is provided based on the temporal logic for transition synchronization sequence control. By the example, we identified the proposed method was applied well. And through the reachability graph, we verified whether the deadlocks may occur or not in the analysis phase before the design phase. Thus. it gives easy way to analysis, so that it will lead to the design phase naturally.
This study examined the politics of representation about North Korean female defectors in general programming channels. In that channel's programs, the women are established as soften private people who got a lift in capitalism aggressively and as disparate subject that have value to be consumed by mass audience. They are caricatured with the testimony and internal competition, be emphasized that heterogeneous object. General programming channels use the women as easy and cheap substitutes for foreigners, also objectifies them to complies with the patriarchal authority. General programming channels are continuously producing a story to deal with North Korean female defectors in disparate subject. In this way, they owns the time and qualification to talk to the women as objects to be displayed, to ensure the media power. Ultimately, the female defectors is only a consumption subject that being sensuously staring, so they remain 'other' instead of 'us'.
Background: To improve lumbo-pelvic stability, passive support devices (i.e., a pelvic belt) are recommended clinically. Nevertheless, to understand the influence of passive support on lumbo-pelvic stability, it is necessary to examine the influence of a pelvic belt on the abdominal and hip abductor muscles. Objects: To examine the effects of a pelvic belt on the forces of the hip adductor and abductor muscles and activity of the abdominal muscles during isometric hip adduction and abduction. Methods: This study recruited 14 healthy men. All subjects performed isometric hip adduction and abduction with and without a pelvic belt in a neutral hip position. Load cells, wrapped with a non-elastic belt, were placed above the medial and lateral malleoli of the dominant leg to measure the muscle forces of the hip adductors and abductors, respectively. The forces of the hip adductors and abductors were measured using a load cell during isometric hip adduction and abduction, while the electromyographic activities of the bilateral rectus abdominis, internal oblique, and external oblique muscles were measured. Results: The forces generated by the hip adductors and abductors were significantly greater with the pelvic belt than without (p<.05). No significant differences in abdominal muscle activities between the two conditions were found (p>.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that use of a pelvic belt could lead to effective strengthening exercise of hip muscles in individuals with sacroiliac joint pain.
Background: Bridging exercises are used to enhance the functional stability of the lumbopelvic region in clinical settings. Although most of the studies on bridging exercises have compared the complete activation of the trunk muscles, some recent studies have examined the functional stability of the trunk and the lumbopelvic region and assessed the appropriate recruitment of the local and global muscles during different task levels. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in muscle thickness in the transverse abdominis (TrA), internal oblique (IO), and external oblique (EO) muscles during a common bridging exercise on an unstable surface and to determine whether these changes differ based on the surface used. Methods: Twenty-five healthy young adults (8 males, 17 females) were recruited. The subjects were randomly assigned to either the exercise progression with a sling bridge group or the ball bridging exercise progression group, each with three stages of increasing difficulty. Each position was measured three times with an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system, and the mean values were recorded for analysis. Results: No significant differences were observed between the TrA, IO, or EO muscle thickness ratios between the sling and ball exercise groups (p > 0.05). There were also no significant differences in the EO muscle thickness ratios between the tasks irrespective of whether the sling or ball was used. However, the TrA and IO thickness ratios in both groups were significantly greater during stages 2 and 3 compared to stage 1. Conclusion: The results suggest that the use of slings and balls during bridging exercises is effective in activating the deep abdominal muscles.
