Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a meaning of life scale with high validity and reliability. Method: A conceptual framework composed of 4 phases of meanings of life was identified. And 49 preliminary items on a 4-points scale were developed through content validity. A reliability and validity test of the 49 items was conducted on 564 adults. By means of internal consistency of the 49 items, 1 item was deleted. To verify the 48 items, factor analysis, reliability test, and LISEREL were done. Result: Through exploratory factor analysis of the 48 items, 8 factors were extracted. These factors were labeled as 'self- awareness and self-acceptance', 'hope', 'responsibility awareness', 'love experience', 'self transcendence', 'relation experience', 'self contentedness', and 'Commitment'. Through LISEREL of the 48 items, 2 items were excluded and finally 46 itemsremained. Cronbach's Alpha of the 46 items was .94. The correlation coefficient of the Self-esteem scale was .79. Conclusion: By the above results, the researchers recommend the following: An exploratory study on the variables related to the meaning of life are needed for criterion validity of this scale. Studies on meaning of life of different groupa, and subjects are needed for reverification.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the reliability and validity of an MIL instrument for adolescents. Method: The research design was a three-phase, methodological study. 1) The original 46 items of the Meaning in Life (MIL) Scale were reviewed and corrected partially by 20 adolescents. 2) The content was validated by an expert panel (n=15) and adolescents (n=5). 3) The instrument was validated by survey (n=468). Finally, 33 items were chosen for the adolescents meaning in life(AMIL) scale. Results: Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the 33 items was .92, confirming the high internal consistency of the instrument. 2) Eight factors were extracted through factor analysis: 'experience of love', 'making efforts for goal', 'awareness of essential being', 'awareness of self limitation', 'feeling of satisfaction', 'relation experience', 'positive thinking', and 'hope'. These factors explained 58.26% of the total variance. Conclusion: AMIL Scale was identified as a tool with a high degree of reliability and validity. The tool can therefore be effectively utilized to assess the degree of meaning of life in caring areas for adolescents. Studies on AMIL of different adolescent subjects are needed for further verification.

According to a treatment of internal disease in oriental medicine, we recognize that Lee Dong-won's Eumhwalon has a critical meaning. However, there is no well organized study about that so far even though medical treatments and prescriptions affected by Lee Dong-won's Eumhwalon have been used in clinical medicine. Hence I have studied the effect on a treatment of internal disease of after age affected by Lee Dong-won's Eumhwalon focused on medical treatments and prescriptions. For the comprehensive study on the effect of Lee Dong-won’s(李東垣) Eumwhalon(陰火論) on a treatment of internal disease for after age, I have examined, collected, and summarized the related descriptions from various books and papers in this subject such as <Naek-yung(內經)> which is the bible of oriental medicine. Followings are obtained as a result: Lee dong-won said Eumhwa(陰火) might be happened if there are abnormalities of the spleen and the stomach which exercise going up and coming down(升降). Lee dong-won offered Gamonjeyol(甘溫除熱) and Sengyangsanwha(升陽散火) as treatments of Eumhwa(陰火) Gamonjeyol(甘溫除熱) affected the treatment and the pathological recognition of Daekilon(大氣論) by Jang suk-sun(張錫純). Consequently there are some prescriptions such as Sengham-tang(升陷湯), Wandae-tang(完帶湯), Kerwonjern(擧元煎), and so on affected by Gamonjeyol(甘溫除熱). Sengyangsanwha(升陽散火) affected Yuklumanju(逆流挽舟) by Yu chang(喩昌) a lot. It is a meaning of Sengyangsanwha(升陽散火) that he used Insampaedok-san(人蔘敗毒散) to dysentery. As a representative prescription, there are Insampaedok-san(人蔘敗毒散), Kamisoyo-san(加味逍遙散), Baekchuljakyak-san(白朮芍藥散), and so on.
As the phrase 'solitude death' implies, solitude generally has a negative characteristic as an object to avoid. But on the contrary, Nietzsche attempts to accept solitude and even affirms it in his overall philosophy. This study is about the authentic meaning of Nietzsche's solitude concept, aiming to clarify what true meaning solitude has to Nietzsche. This study will examine the 'external situation that humans face today' first. To do this, the study will consider the situation that humans who lost the earth and homeland faced in the period when God is dead. This study will then look at 'memory' and 'oblivion', as human's internal situations. And following that, this study will examine what meaning 'creativity' has to Nietzsche, which has a close relationship with those internal situations. Lastly, the meaning that 'body' and 'dance' imply to Nietzsche and what relationship these have with true solitude will be presented. Human is the being who can not avoid solitude whether they want it or not. Even though we make whatever effort we can to run away, solitude is unavoidable. The smart phone that makes me feel emptiness when I don't hold it on my hands, the hobbies which attract and force us to do, and new products which make us feel lonely if we don't buy them, don't they prove these efforts? What meaning does solitude have to humans that we have no other way but to run away from it like this? By understanding the authentic meaning of Nietzsche's solitude concept, we can change our view point on solitude so we can eventually accept 'solitude' as something that we must truly embrace and affirm, instead of something we must run away from.
The purpose of this treatise is to study external form and internal meaning of minimal expression fashion which appeared as a major stream in modern fashion trends to understand one aspect of modernism in fashion and also to gain insight into internal value of human beings through fashion. The results can be summarized as follows : Firstly , minimalism is a trend in art attempting to seek essence of the object by presenting simple and disciplined expressions by minimal formative means and minimal production process. Secondly, minimal expression in fashion means seeking simplicity an dpurity by using minimum design elements and minimal productive process. Minimum expression techniques in terms of forms mean forms of smooth curves flowing along boyd or forms with simple geometric forms from qualitative aspects, In terms of volume it means quest for essence of pure body itself by revealing body as it is by minimizing the size of dress or its area and herein is contained using simple geometric pattern or utilizing textiles without any patterns.3. Minimal expression techniques by colors mean simple colors such as primary colors, colors without clear distinctions or natural colors and in terms of quantity it means quest for one color within one item of dress or combination of each items when getting dressed. 4. Minimal expression techniques in terms of fabrics mean fabrics with simple surfaced. In terms of quantity it means quest for essence of tight fitting thin textiles to human body or using transparent materials to human body thus exposing body contours as it is. 5. Minimal expression techniques in terms of productive process mean minimizing process of tailoring , sewing or ornamenting and seeking for simplicity and purity. 6. Minimal expression techniques in terms of manufacturing process mean selection of technique conveying simple image with disciplined simple image. The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of convergence which is one of the trendy issues as a new digital paradigm of Integrative thinking in 21st century, to analyze the plastic feature and internal meaning of convergence expressed in fashion design, and to grasp the cultural symbolism through this aesthetic analysis. Because there have been considerable discussions on convergence, centering on industrial product area associated with media, I will proceed my study on the basis of them. For this, the documentary study and practical case study have been executed. This study will be helpful to find a direction of future fashion design trend. Convergence in digital stage can be defined as a phenomenon which different functions of product move towards one direction for greater efficiency, and not only as a technical integration between functions of product, but also an extension of area. Convergence can be classified by their use as (1) convergence for convenient daily life (2) convergence with intelligent scientific technology (3) convergence for entertainment on the basis of sensual experience. The plasticity of convergence designs feature as a open dynamic structure which potentiate transformation and their internal meaning can be inquired such qualities as integrative multiplicity, efficiency, mobility, intelligence. Specially convergence fashion design has protection qualify resulting from wearability on body. Ultimately convergence fashion design as a future digital paradigm can be thought as both eco-friendly design and human-centered design from positive technology-based viewpoint, because it is easy to transform according to our environment, convenient to reserve, and efficient to enhance spatial usibility.

To enhance the acceleration performance and fuel consumption rate of a vehicle, the torque converter is modified or newly-developed with reliable analysis model. Up to recently, the one dimensional performance model has been used for the analysis and design of torque converter. The model is described with constant parameters based on the concept of mean flow path. When it is used in practice, some experiential correction factors are needed to minimize tole estimated error. These factors have poor physical meaning and cannot be applied confidently to the other specification of torque converter. In this study, the detail dynamic model of torque converter is presented to establish the physical meaning of correction factors. To verify the validity of model, performance test was carried out with various input speed and oil temperature. The effect of oil temperature on the performance is analysed, and it is applied to the dynamic model. And, to obtain the internal flow pattern of torque converter, CFD(Computational Fluid Dyanmics) analysis is carried out on three-dimensional turbulent flow. Correction factors are determined from the internal flow pattern, and their variation is presented with the speed ratio of torque converter. Finally, the sensitivity of correction factors to the speed ratio is studied for the case of changing capacity factor with maintaining torque ratio.

Modern fashion industry creates complex and multiple fashion by amalgamating and mixing all elements that emerged in fashion without limiting them to a specific genre. The results of study are as follows: First, with regard to the conceptual differences among poor look, anti-fashion, and resistance fashion and the background. second, As aesthetic categories of poor beauty, its image with the feeling of poorness, beggar-likeness, worthlessness, poorness, and uncleanness is divided into the beauty of moderation, deconstruction, unfinished beauty, natural beauty, and ostentatious poor beauty based on the formative characteristics and poor look. Third, Oriental and Western poor images are comparatively analyzed. The poor beauty found in Oriental fashion, which is based on Zen aesthetics, seeks loneliness, poorness, and simplicity as an empty origin and features internal meaning that expresses the purity of poor beauty itself and external form that is visualized through no decoration, no color, and asymmetry in material and composition. The poor beauty in the West features non-form of no shape, asymmetry and disharmony and the characteristic in its contents is "distortion", and the characteristic in its expression features external form of "incorrectness" and internal meaning implying modem humans' frustration, resistance to materialism, and skepticism about mechanicalism.

Popular culture has symbolic meaning and has been constructed through different mass media. Newspapers played a significant role in 1950s and 1960s public culture. In particular, editorial cartoons in newspapers expressed social aspects of the age implicitly through satire and criticism. This study examines delivered culture by reflecting the past social aspects and inquiring on clothing featured in the editorial cartoon "Gobau". As for a research method, literature research was conducted on clothing of the age with a review of "Gobau". As for a research range, examination was done based on the complete works of Gobau composed of 5 volumes published as a first edition by Hankookmunhwasa on November, 1973. Early "Gobau" cartoons from 1951-1963 were published in 5 volumes; therefore, research was conducted for the era from 1950s to the early 1960s. Clothing expressed in "Gobau" were reviewed, classified into formative characteristics and internal meaning. Internal meaning was examined by dividing into the expression of social aspects and criticism of society. The research findings are as follows. First, clothing in "Gobau" reflected characteristic in direct manner. There was a coexistence of Hanbok and western-styled, clear distinction between men's trousers and women's skirt. Besides, various kinds of women's western-styled dress appeared in the 1960s. Second, they showed the dress culture that reflected past social aspects. Many aspects were included to reconstruct old and worn clothes due to scarce resources after the Korean War, and cherishing clothes, buying fabric directly to making clothes, making clothes from dressmaking shop, and restrictions on imported goods and luxury items. Third, the study also examined the social norms for fashion. It contained negative perspectives on women wearing pants, short skirts, and new hair styles (like perms) from western culture as well as lipstick.

Objectives : The aims of this paper are finding the meaning of Yanluozi's visceral figures on the internal alchemy and searching the relevance of the internal alchemy and Oriental medicine. And we would like to compare Yanluozi's visceral figures and anatomical knowledge. Methods : The First, we have found existing researches of visceral figures. And then we have selected figures to need in-depth study. So we have compared visceral figures of huangdibashiyinanjingzuantujujie and Yanluozi's. And analyzed informations relationg to internal alchemy in the ten xiuzhen books of zazhujiejing 18th vol. And we were divided something to represent the anatomical knowledge and internal alchemic theories. Results & Conclusions : Visceral figures of huangdibashiyinanjingzuantujujie are that integrated and supplemented Yanluozi's figures. And those were draw a picture to express internal alchemy theories. Front visceral figure and rear visceral figure of both literatures were drawn based on the anatomical knowledge.
