내연기관 피스톤 링들 사이 가스압력 변동 (Variation of Inter-Ring Gas Pressure in Internal Combustion Engine)

  • The gas pressure acting on the rings in internal combustion engine influences the friction and wear characteristics. Inter-ring pressure variation during engine operation results from cylinder gas flow through a piston-ring pack. The flow passages consist of ring end gaps and clearances between the ring and the piston groove. The gas flow in the clearance between the ring and the groove is directly affected by the axial motion of the ring in the groove. In this paper the asperity contact force is newly considered in the prediction of the clearence between the ring and the groove surface. This term must be taken into account physically in case that the clearance get narrow rather than asperity height between the ring and the groove surface. Finally, comparisons of calculated inter-ring gas pressures based on the analytical method are made with the measured ones. The agereement was found to be good below midium engine speed, 3000rpm. In order to obtain accurate analytical results to the extend of high rpm range, it is recommended to include oil ring motion as well as top and second ring in analytical model.

Calculation and field measurement of earth pressure in shield tunnels under the action of composite foundation

  • Taking a subway shield tunnel in a certain section of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5 as an example, the field tests of shield cutting cement-soil monopile composite foundation were carried out. The load and internal force of the tunnel lining under the action of composite foundation were tested on-site and the distribution characteristics and variation laws of earth pressure around the tunnel under the load holding state of the composite foundation were analyzed. Five different load combinations (i.e., overburden load theory + q0, Terzaghi's theory + q0, Bierbaumer's theory + q0, Xie's theory + q0, and the proposed method (the combination of compound weight method and Terzaghi's theory) + q0) were used to calculate the internal force of the tunnel structure and the obtained results were compared with the measured internal force results. The action mode of earth pressure on the tunnel lining structure was evaluated. Research results show that the earth pressure obtained by the calculation method proposed in this paper was more consistent with the measured value and the deviation between the two was within 5%. The distribution of the calculated internal force of the tunnel structure was more in line with the distribution law of field test data and the deviation between the calculated and measured values was small. This effectively verified the rationality and applicability of the proposed calculation method. Research results provided references for the design and evaluation of shield tunnels under the action of composite foundations.

  • Existing results of some related experiments report that variation in the magnitude of prestressing force may leads to a change of dynamic properties of a PSC girder system. Since a usual dynamic equilibrium equation doesn't explain these phenomena, a modified dynamic equilibrium equation is derived in this paper by considering prestressing force as an internal energy of the system. The derived equation is applied to a modified beam element model is proposed. The proposed model validated by comparing the natural frequencies computed by the model with those from an existing experiment result.

  • The static charges are generated by streaming electrification phenomena in insulating oil flowing by force for the purpose of cooling at the internal of Ultra-high power transformer. In this thesis, their elimination method was studied. In this paper the effect of Additive on the electric conductivity of Insulating oil is studied. The variation of electric conductivity disappear when Additive is molten in insulating oil BTA(Benzotriazole) appear more variation of electric conductivity than that of SP-S10(Sorbitan mono-stearate). But the variation is not enough to decrease streaming electrification of insulating oil($\sigma$>10$\^$-12/[S/cm]).

Study on the progressive collapse resistance of CP-FBSP connections in L-CFST frame structure

  • When the vertical load-bearing members in high-rise structures fail locally, the beam-column joints play an important role in the redistribution of the internal forces. In this paper, a static laboratory test of three full-scale flush flange beam-reinforced connections with side and cover plates (CP-FBSP connection) with double half-span steel beams and single L-shaped columns composed of concrete-filled steel tubes (L-CFST columns) was conducted. The influence of the side plate width and cover plate thickness on the progressive collapse resistance of the substructure was thoroughly analyzed. The failure mode, vertical force-displacement curves, strain variation, reaction force of the pin support and development of internal force in the section with the assumed plastic hinge were discussed. Then, through the verified finite element model, the corresponding analyses of the thickness and length of the side plates, the connecting length between the steel beam flange and cover plate, and the vertical-force eccentricity were carried out. The results show that the failure of all the specimens occurred through the cracking of the beam flange or the cover plate, and the beam chord rotations measured by the test were all greater than 0.085 rad. Increasing the length, thickness and width of the side plates slightly reduced the progressive collapse resistance of the substructures. The vertical-force eccentricity along the beam length reduced the progressive collapse resistance of the substructure. An increase in the connecting length between the beam flange and cover plate can significantly improve the progressive collapse resistance of substructures.

고속 주축베어링의 볼 접촉각 변동을 고려한 주축 설계공차 (Design Tolerance of High Speed Spindle considering the Variation of Ball Contact Angle in the Angular Contact Ball Bearings)

  • Angular contact ball bearings in a high speed spindles are under the extreme conditions, such as high temperature, big centrifugal force and thrust cutting forces. So, the assembly contacts between spindle shaft and inner ring bearings, bearing housing and outer ring of bearings are occasionally unstable at high speed revolution. Furthermore, the ball contact angle of a bearing, which influence stiffness and lifetime of bearings, are changed according to loads and rotational speed. To analyze internal forces of a bearing under high speed revolution, the ball contact are calculated using nonlinear equations in consideration of rotational speed, thrust loads and raceway form. Diameter increase of inner and outer ring by influence factors, such as internal forces to inner and outer ring, centrifugal force and temperature of inner and outer rings are calculated to establish stable state in bearing assembly in high speed spindle. Finally, contribution ratio of influence factor to assembly design tolerance of inner and outer rings are shown and the stable assembly design tolerance are proposed.

종동력을 받는 외팔기둥의 동적 안정성에 미치는 구조감쇠 효과 (Structural Damping Effects on Stability of a Cantilever Column under Sub-tangentially Follower Force)

  • 안정성 지도(stability map)을 이용하여 부분 종동력(sub-tangentailly follower force)를 받는 외팔 기둥의 동적안정성 이론을 요약한다. Rayleigh 감쇠를 가정하여 내적 및 외적 감쇠효과를 2개의 감쇠비를 통하여 반영하고, 감쇠비 변화에 따른 플러터하중의 변화와 관련된 매개변수 연구를 수행한다. 또한, 종동력을 받는 외팔기둥에 대한 진동수 방정식의 엄밀해를 유도하고, 특정 감쇠비 범위에 대한 안정성 지도를 유한요소 해석결과와 함께 비교/분석한다.

편대비행에서 후방 항공기의 위치 안전성 분석 (Positional Stability Analysis of Trailing Aircraft in Formation Flight)

  • Positional stability analysis based on aerodynamic forces and induced moments of formation flight using two small aircraft models is presented. The aerodynamic force and moments of the trailing aircraft are analyzed in the aspect of flight stability. The induced moments with the change of local flow direction by wing-tip vortex from the leading aircraft can affect the flight positional stability of aircraft in closed formation flight. Aerodynamic forces and moments of trailing aircraft model are measured by 6-component internal balance at the 49 locations with vertical and lateral space between two aircraft models. Results are shown that the positional stability of trailing aircraft in formation flight can be analyzed by positional stability derivatives with vertical and lateral space. It is concluded that flying positions can be important factors for aircraft position stability due to induced aerodynamic force and moments with vertical and lateral spacing by the variation of flow pattern from the leading aircraft in formation flight.

박막펌핑을 이용한 Nano Fountain-Pen의 유동 특성에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Analysis of the Flow Characteristics in the Nano Fountain-Pen Using Membrane Pumping)

  • Nano fountain-pen is a novel device to make the constant patterning in micro process using new designed probe. Fountain-pen nanolithography (FPN) is applied for constant supply of liquid in conjunction of patterns and surface variation in the micro process. In this study, nuo fountain-pen is composed with reservoir, micro channels, tip and scondary chamber. Instead of traditional method only using capillary force, liquid can be definitely and exactly injected with membrane pumping by the repulse force of tip. It is dfficult to perform experiments in the micro range so that we carried out a numerical analysis for internal flow, using a commercial code, FlUENT, The velocity, pressure and flow rate are obtained under laminar, unsteady, three-dimensional incompressible flow with no-slip condition, and results are graphically described.

  • The purpose of this research is to study the vibration and acoustic pressure radiation from a thin isotropic flat plate stiffened by a rectangular array of beams, and excited by a time harmonic point force. These constructions on aircraft and ship structures are often subjected to fiequency dependent pressure fluctuations and forces. Forces from the these excitations induce structural vibrations in a wide range of fiequencies, which may cause such things as acoustic fatigue and internal cabin noise in the aircraft. It is thus important that the response characteristics and vibration modes of such periodic structures be horn. From this theoretical model, the sound pressure levels(SPL) in a semi-infinite fluid(water) bounded by the plate with the variation in the locations of an external time harmonic point farce on the plate can be calculated efficiently using three numerical tools such as the Gauss-jordan method the LU decomposition method md the IMSL numerical package.
