The purpose of this study is to derive implications of preservice mathematics teacher education in Korea by analyzing the case of edTPA used in the preservice teacher training process in the United States. Recently, there has been a growing interest in promoting professional competencies considering not only the cognitive dimension related to knowledge development of preservice mathematics teachers but also the situational dimension considering reality in the classroom. The edTPA in the United States is a performance-based assessment based on lessons conducted by preservice teachers at school. This study analyzes the professional competencies required of preservice mathematics teachers by analyzing handbooks that described the case of edTPA in which preservice mathematics teachers in the United States participate. The edTPA includes planning, instruction, and assessment tasks, and continuous tasks are performed in connection with classes. Thus, the analysis is conducted on the points of linkage between the description of evaluation items and criteria in the planning, instruction, and assessment tasks, as well as the professional competencies required from that linkage. As a result of analyzing the edTPA handbooks, the professional competencies required of preservice mathematics teachers in the edTPA assessment were the competency to focus on and implement specific mathematics lessons, the competency to reflectively understand the implementation and assessment of specific mathematics lessons, and the competency to make a progressive determination of students' achievement related to their learning and their uses of language and representations. The results of this analysis can be used as constructs for competencies that can be assessed in the preservice in the organization of the preservice mathematics teacher curriculum and practice training semester system in Korea.
Investments in new technologies have grown significantly in size, and science and technology have a large and complex impact on society at large. With people's great interest in technology, the government has the duty to accurately assess the influence of new technologies on society to facilitate their acceptance in society. For this purpose, technology impact assessment should be performed to facilitate a social consensus. There has been research on the initial methods of technology assessment for 50 years. Following various academic studies and discussions based on numerous new technology response policies, coupled with the examination of trends and changes over time, academia and policymakers around the world have paid attention to the multilateral analysis of the impact of new technologies on future society. This study focuses on research changes such as the stage of forecasting factors that should consider the technology assessment of new technologies, despite differences between the development methods for the assessment between developed countries and South Korea. The analysis yielded three factors of technological understanding of awareness, professionalism, and gender characteristics, in addition to a previously identified factor. The three factors are then suggested as forecasting factors for new technology. The findings of this study provide both academic and policy evidence for technology assessment based on the country's Framework Act on Science and Technology.

This study developed and evaluated a safe route guidance service for electric personal assistive mobility device used mainly by the mobility impaired people to improve their mobility. Thirteen underlying factors affecting the mobility of electric personal assistive mobility device have been derived through a survey with the mobility impaired people and employees in related organizations in Busan Metropolitan City. After assigning safety scores to individual factors and identifying the relevant factors along routes of interest with an object detection AI model, the safe route for electric personal assistive mobility device was provided through an optimal path-finding algorithm. As a result of comparing the general route of T-map and the recommended route of this study for the identical routes, the latter had relatively fewer obstacles and the gentler slope than the former, implicating that the recommended route is safer than the general one. As future works, it is necessary to enhance the function of a route guidance service based on the real-time location of users and to conduct spot investigations to evaluate and verify its social acceptability.
Due to restrictions on offline activities caused by COVID-19, the use of mobile applications is increasing along with interest in online shopping, which are non-face-to-face commerce. Accordingly, mobile applications and various industries are combined, and the number of cases of using mobile applications in the fashion industry is increasing. In this study, the effect of e-service quality of fashion mobile applications on user's flow, user satisfaction, and service loyalty was examined. To conduct this study, a survey of 274 people who experienced the 'ABLY' fashion mobile application was used for analysis to verify the hypothesis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that informativity and responsiveness among the e-service quality of fashion mobile applications had a positive (+) effect on flow. And it has been confirmed that informativity, reliability, and responsiveness affect user satisfaction. In addition, flow has a positive (+) (+) effect on user satisfaction, and user satisfaction has a positive (+) effect on service loyalty. However, among the e-service quality of fashion mobile applications, reliability did not have a positive (+) effect on flow. And ease of use did not have a positive (+) effect on both flow and user satisfaction. Finally, it was confirmed that flow did not directly affect service loyalty. Through this study, we intend to contribute to the establishment of marketing strategies for fashion mobile application users, who are increasing with the development of mobile technology, and provide practical implications for the post-COVID-19 era.
Purpose: This study intends to present a future research direction for military education by identifying and analyzing research trends in the field of education related to soldiers in academic research published in Korea. Method: In domestic academic papers published from 2000 to 2022, 269 final papers were selected from among the papers conducted on the subjects of 'soldiers' and 'education'. The final selected literature was analyzed by categorizing it into year, research subject, research method type, number of researchers, research topic, and research content. Result: First, since 2010, the number of studies has gradually increased, and 31 articles were published in 2021, with the largest number of studies. Second, the largest number of studies were conducted on the entire military, followed by the Army and Nursing Officers. Third, qualitative research methods were used a little more in research methods. Fourth, the number of researchers with two or more researchers was steadily increasing. Fifth, most of the research topics were development, design, and improvement. Sixth, in terms of detailed research contents, most of the studies were related to soldiers' spirit(mental force) education and military education and training. Conclusion: Through this study, it was confirmed that military education was studied in various subjects. The direction of future research should be in-depth research from various perspectives with a lot of interest in military education and safety.

As the number of thin filers in Korea surpasses 12 million, there is a growing interest in enhancing the accuracy of assessing their credit default risk to generate additional revenue. Specifically, researchers are actively pursuing the development of default prediction models using machine learning and deep learning algorithms, in contrast to traditional statistical default prediction methods, which struggle to capture nonlinearity. Among these efforts, Graph Neural Network (GNN) architecture is noteworthy for predicting default in situations with limited data on thin filers. This is due to their ability to incorporate network information between borrowers alongside conventional credit-related data. However, prior research employing graph neural networks has faced limitations in effectively handling diverse categorical variables present in credit information. In this study, we introduce the Transformer embedded Graph Convolutional Network (TeGCN), which aims to address these limitations and enable effective default prediction for thin filers. TeGCN combines the TabTransformer, capable of extracting contextual information from categorical variables, with the Graph Convolutional Network, which captures network information between borrowers. Our TeGCN model surpasses the baseline model's performance across both the general borrower dataset and the thin filer dataset. Specially, our model performs outstanding results in thin filer default prediction. This study achieves high default prediction accuracy by a model structure tailored to characteristics of credit information containing numerous categorical variables, especially in the context of thin filers with limited data. Our study can contribute to resolving the financial exclusion issues faced by thin filers and facilitate additional revenue within the financial industry.
As carbon-free has been getting interest, renewable energy sources have been increasing. However, renewable energy is intermittent and variable so it is difficult to predict the produced electrical energy from a renewable energy source. In this study, digital-twin concept is applied to solve difficulties in predicting electrical energy from a renewable energy source. Considering that rotation of wind turbine has high correlation with produced electrical energy, a model which simulates rotation in the drivetrain of a wind turbine is developed. The base of a drivetrain simulation model is set with well-known state equation in mechanical engineering, which simulates the rotating system. Simulation based machine learning is conducted to get unknown parameters which are not provided by manufacturer. The simulation is repeated and parameters in simulation model are corrected after each simulation by optimization algorithm. The trained simulation model is validated with 27 real wind turbine operation data set. The simulation model shows 4.41% error in average compared to real wind turbine operation data set. Finally, it is assessed that the drivetrain simulation model represents the real wind turbine drivetrain system well. It is expected that wind-energy-prediction accuracy would be improved as wind turbine digital twin including the developed drivetrain simulation model is applied.

According to the 「Rural Spatial Reconstruction and Regeneration Support Act」, enacted on March 29, 2024, all local governments are required to establish a 'Rural Spatial Reconstruction and Regeneration Plan' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Rural Spatial Plan'). In order for the 'Rural Spatial Plan' to be appropriately established, this study analyzed the supply and demand of spatial data from the perspective of user stakeholders and derived implications for improving rural spatial planning data utilization. In conclusion, three key recommendations come from this result. Firstly, it is necessary to establish an integrated DB for rural spatial planning data. This can solve the problem of low awareness of scattered data-providing websites, reduce the processing time of non-GIS data, and reduce the time required to acquire data by securing the availability of data search and download. In particular, research should be conducted on the establishment of a spatial analysis simulation system to support stakeholders' decision-making, considering that many stakeholders have difficulty in spatial analysis because spatial analysis techniques were not actively used in rural projects before the implementation of the rural agreement system in 2020. Secondly, research on how to improve data acquisition should be conducted in each data sector. The data sector group with the lowest ease of receiving are 'Local Community Domain', 'Changes in Domestic and International Conditions', and 'Provision and Utilization of Daily Life Services'. Lastly, in-depth research is needed on how to raise each rural spatial planning data supply stakeholder to the position of player. Stakeholders of 'University Institutions' and 'Public Enterprises and Research Institutes' should give those who participate in the formulation of rural spatial plans access to the raw data collected for public work. Stakeholders of 'Private company' need to come up with realistic measures to build a data pool centered on consultative bodies between existing private companies and then prepare a step-by-step strategy to fully open it by participating various stakeholders. In order to induce 'Village Residents and Associations' stakeholders to play a leading role as owners and producers of data, personnel should be trained to collect and record data related to the village. In addition, support measures should be prepared to continue these activities.

This study aimed to develop and implement a home economics education program with a travel theme for middle school students and investigate whether it improves their subjective well-being. The ADDIE design model was used to develop and implement the home economics education program titled 'Happiness Travel with You and I'. The program consisted of six sessions focusing on time management, dietary life, and housing life. The 'Happiness Travel with You and I' program was implemented for first-year male and female students at middle school B in Cheongju City. The results revealed that the program reduced negative emotions in adolescents and positively influenced their perception of the value of life. Students rated the program highly in terms of satisfaction with class content, class interest, and recognition of the importance of the class. This study is significant as it is the first attempt to test the effect of a travel-themed home economics education program and suggests the expansion and promotion of travel and leisure education in the field of home economics education.
This study developed and applied a maker education program for an elementary school's science unit on 'Animal Life'. It examined the program's impact on students' academic achievement and creative problem-solving ability. The theme of the maker education program was 'creating a robot virtual reality (VR) exhibition hall mimicking animal characteristics'. It explored scientific concepts and creatively created a robot VR exhibition hall in accordance with the TMI maker education model. Findings revealed that the program significantly improved students' academic achievement and creative problem-solving ability (p<.05). This study provides evidence for the effectiveness of maker education in elementary school science classes and suggests that using maker education can increase students' interest in and engagement with science learning. To implement maker education more actively in elementary school science classes, stakeholders should develop various topics and programs. Additional research investigating the effectiveness of maker education in different age groups and various other areas of elementary science education is required to generalize the results of this study. Moreover, educational and teacher capacity building is required for educators to utilize maker education effectively.
