본 연구에서는 현재 세계 4대 온라인 상용 정보검색시스템이라 일컫는 DIALOG, STN, ORBIT 및 CDP 시스템의 주요 기능을 비교 분석한 후, 이를 대화식 텍스트 탐색명령어에 대한 국제표준인 ISO 8777과 비교함으로써 국제표준과 이들 시스템간의 유사성을 평가하였다. 그 결과 네 시스템은 기본적인 기능면에 있어서는 시스템 상호간은 물론 국제표준과도 큰 차이가 없지만 그 기능을 사용하기 위한 명령식, 즉 명령어와 명령구문은 거의 유사성이 없는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 한편 ISO 8777 역시 비록 그 기준에 있어서 상당한 융통성을 부여하고 단순화를 도모하였지만 일부 명령어의 경우는 오히려 현재의 상용 시스템을 준용하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 나타났다.

멀티미디어 영상검색 중 영상의 내용을 기반으로 한 검색방법에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 기존의 키워드기반 영상검색 방법에 비해 효율적인 관리와 검색 방법을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 방법이 단순한 공학적 방법에 치우쳐 사람의 감성과는 무관한 검색 결과를 제공한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 대화형 유전자 알고리즘을 도입하여 검색과정에 사람의 감성을 반영할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 구체적으로 표현될 수 있는 영상 뿐 아니라 우울한 느낌의 영상, 즐거운 느낌의 영상과 같은 추상적인 느낌의 영상을 검색할수 있도록 한다. 2000개의 영상으로 이루어진 데이터베이스로 실험한 결과 , 제안한 방법이 유용함을 알 수 있었다.

This raper describes a nev program designed as a part of the integrated software package for distribution system planning and operation. The program accesses electrical map databases which include both electrical and geographical information. Data retrieval, load flow analyses, and reconfiguration studies can be easily performed in highly interactive environment on graphics and pull down menus, case study results demonstrate the practical usefulness of the program at the real systems.

In writing learning as a second/foreign language, a learner has to acquire not only lexical and syntactical knowledge but also the skills to choose suitable words for content which s/he is interested in. A learning system should extrapolate learner\\`s intention and give example phrases that concern with the content in order to support this on the system. However, a learner cannot always represent a content of his/her desired phrase as inputs to the system. Therefore, the system should be equipped with a diagnosis function for learner\\`s intention. Additionally, a system also should be equipped with an analysis function to score similarity between learner\\`s intention and phrases which is stored in the system on both syntactic and idiomatic level in order to present appropriate example phrases to a learner. In this paper, we propose architecture of an interactive support method for English writing learning which is based an analogical search technique of sample phrases from corpora. Our system can show a candidate of variation/next phrases to write and an analogous sentence that a learner wants to represents from corpora.

Extraction of influential people from their respective domains has attained the attention of scholastic community during current epoch. This study introduces an innovative interaction strength metric for retrieval of the most influential users in the online social network. The interactive strength is measured by three factors, namely re-tweet strength, commencing intensity and mentioning density. In this article, we design a novel algorithm called IPRank that considers the communications from perspectives of followers and followees in order to mine and rank the most influential people based on proposed interaction strength metric. We conducted extensive experiments to evaluate the strength and rank of each user in the micro-blog network. The comparative analysis validates that IPRank discovered high ranked people in terms of interaction strength. While the prior algorithm placed some low influenced people at high rank. The proposed model uncovers influential people due to inclusion of a novel interaction strength metric that improves results significantly in contrast with prior algorithm.

모바일 환경은 작은 단말 화면, 제한된 검색 기능으로 인해 보다 정확하고 개인화된 정보 제공이 필요하다. 본 논문은 유용한 정보 제공을 위한 필터링 기법으로 활용되는 추천 시스템 중 협업 필터링을 이용하여 모바일 상에서 사용자의 관심 그룹을 선택적으로 반영하는 추천 시스템을 구성한다. 1차 단계로 사용자의 선호 정보와 인구통계학적 특성을 동시에 고려하여 관심 그룹을 형성하고 2차 단계로 사용자가 관심 그룹의 추천 여부를 스스로 선택하도록 함으로써 최종 추천 리스트를 재구성한다. 이는 지금껏 일방적으로 추천 리스트를 제공하였던 것에서 벗어나 사용자의 선호를 보다 적극적으로 고려한 양방향적 유동적 추천 리스트 제공이 가능해짐을 의미한다. 마지막으로 사용자의 선택 여부에 따른 추천 케이스를 도출하여 iPhone 환경에 적용한 결과를 제시한다.

본 연구는 외국인 유학생들의 웹 검색엔진을 사용한 정보검색행위를 분석하였다. 실험에 참가한 15명의 외국인 유학생들은 3가지 검색 태스크에 포함된 6개의 검색질문에 대한 답을 찾도록 하였으며, 각 태스크 별로 사전 설문지 작성, 검색 수행, 사후 설문지 작성으로 실험이 진행되었다. 검색 태스크의 특성에 따라 검색성과와 검색행동에는 차이가 있었으나 공통적으로 한국어의 유창성이 높은 참가자들의 검색 성과가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 검색주제에 관한 사전지식이 검색성과에 항상 영향을 미치는 것은 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 메뉴와 링크를 통하여 웹사이트를 탐색해서 답을 찾는 태스크의 경우, 정답이 포함된 웹페이지 앞에서도 정답을 간과하는 경우가 발견되었다. 또한 오답을 찾고 그것을 인지하지 못하는 경우도 있었다. 국내의 외국인 거주자들에게 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 비원어민들이 탐색하기에 용이한 웹사이트를 디자인하고 양방향 소통 수단이 소셜미디어를 사용하는 것이 필요하다고 제안되었다.

객체기반 이미지 매칭 알고리즘 기술은 이미지 프로세싱 및 컴퓨터 비전 분야에서 광범위하게 사용되어 왔다. 이러한 이미지 매칭 알고리즘 기반의 수 많은 응용 프로그램은 객체인식, 3D 모델링, 비디오 추적 및 바이오 정보학 분야에서 개발되어 왔다. 이미지 매칭 알고리즘의 좋은 예는 Scale invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) 이다. 하지만 SIFT 알고리즘 기술을 이용한 많은 응용 프로그램은 클라이언트-서버 구조가 아닌 하나의 시스템으로 운영되어 왔다. 본 논문은 모바일 플랫폼 기반에서 SIFT 알고리즘 기술을 이용하여 클라이언트-서버 구조로 이미지 매칭 시스템을 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템은 바이오 이미지 객체를 매칭하고 식별하여 사용자에게 유용한 정보를 제공한다. 또한 본 논문의 주요 방법론적 기여는 모바일 장치에 유비쿼터스 인터넷 연결을 활용하여 편리한 사용자 인터페이스와 객체간의 상호작용적인 묘사, 분할, 표현, 매칭 및 바이오 이미지를 검색한다. 본 논문은 이러한 기술과 함께 바이오 정보학에 대한 의미론적 이미지 검색을 수행하며 응용 프로그램에서 객체 이미지의 다른 점을 추출하여 신뢰할 수 있는 이미지 매칭을 수행하는 예를 제시해주었다.
