Gain Scheduling for Hot Strip Mill

  • The looper control of hot strip finishing mill is one of the most important control item in hot strip rolling mill process. Loopers are placed between finishing mill stands and control the mass flow of the two stands. Another important action of the looper is to control the strip tension which influences on the width of the strip. So it is very important to control both the looper angle and the strip tension simultaneously but the looper angle and the strip tension are strongly interacted by each other. There are many control schemes such as conventional, non-interactive, LQ(Linear Quadratic), Hinf and ILQ(Inverse Linear Quadratic), Adaptive(gain scheduling) control in the looper control system. In this paper, we present the modeling for the looper of a hot strip finishing mill to control the tension of the strip and suggest another control method.

  • It is expected that utility interactive small scale dispersed PV system will be widely diffused in the future. This paper discussed the design and control method of single phase PV inverter system with compensation capability of reactive power including harmonic distortion, based on state space modelling. As the results, compensation effects were suggested by simulation and experiment.

  • This paper propose a solution to resolve data overflow or leakage when a subscriber receive data to service provider. The set-top box can communicate with a service provider and can inform the service provider its data overflow or leakage. When service provider received this control signal, it changes data transmit rate and transmits data with changed rate. The buffer of set-top box is important because incoming data from a service provider are stored by it.

  • This paper presents a case-building algorithm which can control the design variables of which some variables are designated as the input (known) variables and the remainders are defined as the output (unknown) variables. The case-building algorithm can enhance the design ability by categorizing design case automatically. Common CAD programs for analysis and design of machine elements use a case-selection technique where a programmer set initially a few of design cases and users can only choose one of given cases. This paper also demonstrates the case-building algorithm by applying into CAD programs for power-screw design.

Feedback Linearization Control of Grid-Interactive PWM Converters with LCL Filters

  • This paper proposes a feedback linearization control scheme of AC/DC PWM converters with LCL input filters using no damping resisters. Feedback linearization techniques use a transformation from nonlinear system models into equivalent linear models in a simpler form. The feedback linearization scheme in this work has cascade structures unlike usual feedback linearization, therefore it has an advantage that it is possible to limit the capacitor current to a certain level. The performance of the proposed controller is validated with simulation and experimental results.

  • 문본은 인류문명발전의 중요한 기록방식이다.문본의 삭제기능은 매우중요하다.현재 문본삭제의 방법은 '삭제'버튼을 누르는 것으로 완성한다.이는 대량적인 문본삭제의 고객요구에 맞지않다.본문은 중점적으로 이문제를 해결하는 새로운 인터렉티브의 방식에대해 소개했다.우리는 이문제를 고려하며 제0위치공제와 제1속도공제중에서 해결방안을 찾았다.분석과 실험걸계를 통하여 새로운 키보드 인터렉비트의 방법의 효율과 고객의 체험을 크게 향상시켰다.본문은 가용성 연구를 통해 새로운 키보드의 가용성을 평가하기를 바라는바이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 레이저 포인터 마우스를 이용한 윈도우 기반 인터랙티브 프리젠테이션 시스템을 구성하였다. 시스템은 발표자가 레이져 포인터를 사용하여 인터랙티브하게 프리젠테이션을 할 수 있도록 제공한다. 발표동안 디스플레이용 PC는 비트맵으로 포현되는 한 국부의 포인트 위치를 검출하고, 이 점은 프로젝터로 전달되어 디스플레이 된다. 디스플레이된 프리젠테이션 자료는 또한, 스크린에 있는 레이져 스폿을 모니터링하며 제어된다. 프로세싱 단에서는 미리 알고 있는 공간상의 패턴과 레이져 스폿을 일치 시키게 되며, 이에 따라 디스플레이 명령이 세팅된다. 이때, 디스플레이에 대한 명령은 컴퓨터로 전달되며 마우스 기능과 같은 동작을 얻을 수 있게 된다.

  • Electroencephalographic(EEG) is used to record activities of human brain in the area of psychology for many years. As technology develope, neural basis of functional areas of emotion processing is revealed gradually. So we measure fundamental areas of human brain that controls emotion of human by using EEG. Hands gestures such as shaking and head gesture such as nodding are often used as human body languages for communication with each other, and their recognition is important that it is a useful communication medium between human and computers. Research methods about gesture recognition are used of computer vision. Many researchers study Emotion Recognition method which uses one of EEG signals and Gestures in the existing research. In this paper, we use together EEG signals and Gestures for Emotion Recognition of human. And we select the driver emotion as a specific target. The experimental result shows that using of both EEG signals and gestures gets high recognition rates better than using EEG signals or gestures. Both EEG signals and gestures use Interactive Feature Selection(IFS) for the feature selection whose method is based on a reinforcement learning.

  • 최근 태양전지, 연료전지를 이용한 새로운 발전시스템이 개발중에 있다. 특히 소규모 분산형 계통연계 태양광발전시스템은 가까운 장래에 폭 넓게 보급될것으로 예상된다. 태양전지 어레이를 계통선과 결합하는데 사용되는 인버터는 전체 태양광발전시스템의 성능을 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 고조파를 포함한 무효전력 보상능력을 갖는 단상 태양광 인버터 시스템의 설계 및 제어기법을 제시하였다. 제안된 인버터 시스템에 의해 정류기 부하에 의해 발생된 무효전력이 보상될 수 있음을 실험결과로 보여준다.

  • In general, a single-phase current-fed PWM inverter using IGBTs has some unique advantages for small scale distributed utility-interactive power supply system as compared with voltage-fed PWM inverter. In particular, this is more suitable and acceptable for a non-isolated type utility-interactive power conditioner, which is going to be widely used for residential solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation system in Japan. However, this current-fed PWM inverter has a significant disadvantage. The output current of this inverter includes large harmonic contents when the inductance of smoothing reactor in its DC side is not large enough to eliminate its current ripple components of this inverter. In order to overcome this problem, a new conceptual pulse area modulation scheme for this inverter is introduced in difference with conventional PWM strategy. This paper presents a new effective control implementation of this PV power conditioner which is able to reduce the harmonic component in the output current produced by the single-phase current-fed PWM inverter even when the ripple current in the smoothing DC reactor is relatively large. The operating principle of the proposed control strategy introdued for this inverter system is described, and its simulation results are evaluated and discussed herein.
