As mobile shopping has increased in the new media age, fashion consumers' decision making and product consumption processes have changed. The volume of consumer-driven information has expanded since media and social networking sites have enabled consumers to share information they obtain. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting information searching strategies and information sharing about fashion products. An online survey collected data from 466 respondents, relating to the influence of product price level and consumer SNS commitment level on information search and information sharing. Experimental design of three product price level and two consumer SNS commitment level was used. Analysis of the data identified factors in fashion information searching as ongoing searching, prepurchase web portal information search, and prepurchase marketing information search. For low-price fashion products, prepurchase product-detail influenced intention to share information. For mid-priced products, ongoing search significantly affected intention to share information. Both ongoing search and prepurchase marketing information search showed significant effects for high-price products. Consumers who are more committed to SNS engaged in significantly more searching in all aspects of information search factors. Significant interaction effect was detected for consumer SNS commitment level and product price level. When consumers with low consumer SNS commitment search for information on lower-priced fashion products, they are less likely do a prepurchase web portal information search.
Molecularly imprinted polymers were prepared in particle forms by crosslinking methacrylic acid (MAA)) using all trans-retinoic acid as a template. The HPLC column packed with the prepared molecular imprinted polymers showed high capability in separation of retinoid derivatives. The column capacity factor and selectivity increased with increasing MAA to template ratio when the incorporated template amount was fixed, as it statistically generated more binding sites between host molecules and template. Molecularly imprinted polymer particles prepared via an emulsion polymerization method were round-shaped and their sizes were more uniformly distributed, but their separation capability was inferior to those obtained by solution polymerization method. It was presumably because the loss of interaction strength between MAA and the template due to hydrogen bonding either between MAA and water or between template and water during the synthesis of molecularly imprinted polymers.

Miscanthus has received wide attention as an option for biomass production in Korea, recently. New strain of giant miscanthus has been developed and was planted in two large trial sites (184 ha) in the lower reaches of the Geum River. To evaluate the susceptibility of the giant miscanthus as an bioenergy crop for the future, we investigated the influence of the giant miscanthus on the soil properties. The particle size, CEC, pH, EC, T-N, T-P, heavy metal total concentration, and heavy metal fractions of soil samples collected from abandoned field, 1 year old giant miscanthus field (1st Year GM), and 2 year old giant miscanthus field (2nd Year GM) at different depths of 0~15, 15~30, and 30~45 cm in April and August were analyzed. Results showed that the CEC and pH of the soil of the giant miscanthus field were lower than those of the soil of abandoned field. The EC of 2nd GM was lower than that of abandoned field, indicating that the giant miscanthus may facilitate soil desalination process. The organic and sulfide fraction and residual fraction of heavy metals in the giant miscanthus field was higher than in abandoned field, due to the low pH of the giant miscanthus field and the excretion of phytosiderophores by rhizome of the giant miscanthus. This study showed that the giant miscanthus can influence on the soil properties and further study for long term is needed to elucidate the interaction between the soil and the giant miscanthus.
Anemometer is a meteorological instrument that measures wind direction and wind speed in real time, and is mounted to the cranes that are used at ports, shipbuilding yards, off-shore structure, or construction sites that are influenced by wind, and it is used in conjunction with the safety system. Load cell-type anemometer measures the wind direction through the ratio of load between 4 positions by mounting the thin plate to 4 load cells, and measures wind velocity through the summation of loads. In this study, we compared and analyzed the results in the theoretic approach, analytic approach and experimental approach to derive the correlation between load ratio and wind direction. Wind direction was selected as the design variable, and selected 9 wind direction conditions from $0^{\circ}{\sim}90^{\circ}$ with $11.25^{\circ}$ space for analysis, and 10 wind direction conditions with $10^{\circ}$ space for experiment.
A series of $NiO-TiO_2$/$WO_3$ catalysts was prepared by drying powdered $Ni(OH)_2-Ti(OH)_4$ with ammonium metatungstate aqueous solution, followed by calcining in air at high temperature. Characterization of prepared catalysts was performed by using FTIR, Raman, XPS, XRD, and DSC and by measuring surface area. Upon the addition of tungsten oxide to titania up to 25 wt%, the specific surface area and acidity of catalysts increased in proportion to the tungsten oxide content due to the interaction between tungsten oxide and titania. Since the -$TiO_2$/stabilizes the tungsten oxide species, for the samples equal to or less than 25 wt%, tungsten oxide was well dispersed on the surface of titania, but for the samples containing above 25 wt%, the triclinic phase of $WO_3$ was observed at calcination temperature above 400 $^{\circ}C$. The catalytic activities of 10-NiO-$TiO_2$/$WO_3$ for 2-propanol dehydration and cumene dealkylation were correlated with the acidity of catalysts measured by ammonia chemisorption method. NiO may attract reactants and enhance the local concentration of reactants near the acid sites, consequently showing the increased catalytic activities.
Interaction of xenon with alkaline-earth cations in Y zeolite supercage was studied by xenon adsorption and $^{129}Xe$ NMR experiments. The CaY and the BaY samples were prepared by exchanging $Ca^{2+}$ and $Ba^{2+}$ into a high-purity NaY zeolite. Xenon adsorption isotherms of these samples were obtained by using a conventional volummetric gas adsorption apparatus in the range of 260 to 320 K and the chemical shift in the $^{129}Xe$ NMR spectrum of the adsorbed xenon was measured at 296 K. The chemical shift against pressure was quantitatively explained assuming that the xenon gas exchanged very rapidly between various adsorption sites consisting of zeolite-framework surface and alkaline-earth ion. From this analysis, it was found that the alkaline-earth ion adsorbed xenon more strongly than $Na^+$ ion and zeolite-framework surface. Baring on the difference of the adsorption strength, the number of the alkaline-earth cations present in the zeolite supercage could be estimated by analyzing the adsorption isotherm.
Integrin-linked kinase 1 (ILK1) regulates several protein kinases, including PKB/Akt kinase and glycogen synthase kinase ${\beta}$. ILK1 is also involved distinctively in the cell morphological and structural functions by interacting with the components of the extracellular matrix or integrin. According to the information of serum- and glucocorticoid-induced kinase 1 (SGK1) substrate specificity (R-X-R-X-X(S/T)-${\phi};{\phi}$ indicates a hydrophobic amino acid), two putative phosphorylation sites, $Thr^{181}\;and\;Ser^{246}$, were found in ILK1. We showed that ILK1 fusion protein and two fluorescein-labeled ILK1 peptides, $FITC-^{174}RTRPRNGTLN^{183}$ and $FITC-^{239}CPRLRIFSHP^{248}$, were phosphorylated by SGK1 in vitro. We also identified that 14-3-3 ${\theta}\;{\varepsilon}\;and\;{\xi}$, among several 143-3 isotypes $({\beta},\;{\gamma},\;{\varepsilon},\;{\eta},\;{\sigma},\;{\theta},\;{\tau}\;and\;{\xi})$ formed protein complex with ILK1 in COS-1 cells. Furthermore, the phosphorylation of $Ser^{246}$ by SGK1 induced the binding with 14-3-3. It was also demonstrated that 14-3-3-bound ILK1 has reduced kinase activity. Thus, these data suggest that SGK1 phosphorylates $Thr^{181}\;and\;Ser^{246}$ of ILK1 and the phosphorylation of its $Ser^{246}$ makes ILK1 bind to 14-3-3, resulting in the inhibition of ILK1 kinase activity.

The purpose of this study was to examine the features that make residents feel “at home” in ALFs in Southwest Virginia and to suggest further policy and design guidelines for better Quality of ALFs as a “home.” For this purpose, residents' needs, experiences, and opinions of the physical environment, the social environment, and the organizational environments such as policies and programs of ALFs were identified. As a multi-case study, five ALFs in Southwest Virginia were studied using constant comparative methos of data analysis. In addition to face-to-face interviews with 25 residents and five administrators of five ALFs, observations were conducted with personal journal. Overall, the five sites selected presented homelike features showing the philosophy of assisted living which combines housing and services. Each facility was designed to be a single-family house or multi-family dwelling in outside appearance. As a whole, residents felt isolation and loneliness and they did not have active interaction with other residents because of diverse background among the residents. However, all of them had close relationships with the staff. The staff's attitude and behavior seemed to influence greatly the residents' feeling “at home.” Despite the provision of diverse activities by the facilities, many residents did not participate in the programs. Most of the residents agreed that the rule and regulations were fair. In spite of high satisfaction with the facility, many people did not think of their current dwelling as a real ‘home.’ As the biggest difference between living in their own homes and living in the ALF, people pointed out a lack of independence, freedom, and autonomy. Residents of ALFs may have reordered their priorities in their current life situation so that safety, security, and care were more important to them than feeling “at home.” Among the three factors --physical, social, and organizational-- that affect the residents' perception of ALFs as a “home, ” many emphasized the importance of social factors such as relationships with the staff and residents, and social support from their family or friends.
Purpose: Long noncoding RNA 00703 (LINC00703) was found originating from a region downstream of Kruppel-like factor 6 (KLF6) gene, having 2 binding sites for miR-181a. Since KLF6 has been reported as a target of miR-181a in gastric cancer (GC), this study aims to investigate whether LINC00703 regulates the miR-181a/KLF6 axis and plays a functional role in GC pathogenesis. Materials and Methods: GC tissues, cell lines, and nude mice were included in this study. RNA binding protein immunoprecipitation (RIP) and pull-down assays were used to evaluate interaction between LINC00703 and miR-181a. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blot were applied for analysis of gene expression at the transcriptional and protein levels. A nude xenograft mouse model was used to determine LINC00703 function in vivo. Results: We revealed that LINC00703 competitively interacts with miR-181a to regulate KLF6. Overexpression of LINC00703 inhibited cell proliferation, migration/invasion, but promoted apoptosis in vitro, and arrested tumor growth in vivo. LINC00703 expression was found to be decreased in GC tissues, which was positively correlated with KLF6, but negatively with the miR-181a levels. Conclusions: LINC00703 may have an anti-cancer function via modulation of the miR-181a/KLF6 axis. This study also provides a new potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for GC treatment.

Application sharing for collaborative works make multiple participants to be capable of collaborative developments through sharing development tools and applications which is distributed to various system without spatial restriction. However, applying legacy application sharing to CSCW based virtual environment has a problem because it dont consider 3D space and it disturbs the harmonic interaction of participants. In this study, we designed application sharing system for collaborative works in 3D virtual environment to share application effectively on collaborative virtual environment. The designed application sharing system for collaborative works in 3D virtual environment consist of application sharing manager, group manager and communication manager. This system is able to perceive event of 3D space about application of participant on 3D virtual environment by agent which moves to participant sites and get an ordered events and conflict among participants through scheduling. Therefore, designed application sharing system for collaborative work in 3D virtual environment can support efficient collaborative works and improve reusability of legacy application through using easily legacy application in 3D virtual environment when CSCW application development for virtual environments.
