Block-Time of Arrival/Leaving Estimation to Enhance Local Spectrum Sensing under the Practical Traffic of Primary User

  • With a long sensing period, the inter-frame spectrum sensing in IEEE 802.22 standard is vulnerable to the effect of the traffic of the primary user (PU). In this article, we address the two degrading factors that affect the inter-frame sensing performance with respect to the random arrival/leaving of the PU traffic. They are the noise-only samples under the random arrival traffic, and the PU-signal-contained samples under the random leaving traffic. We propose the model in which the intra-frame sensing cooperates with the inter-frame one, and the inter-frame sensing uses the time-of-arrival (ToA), and time-of-leave (ToL) detectors to reduce the two degrading factors in the inter-frame sensing time. These ToA and ToL detectors are used to search for the sample which contains either the ToA or ToL of the PU traffic, respectively, which allows the partial cancelation of the unnecessary samples. At the final stage, the remaining samples are input into a primary user detector, which is based on the energy detection scheme, to determine the status of PU traffic in the inter-frame sensing time. The analysis and the simulation results show that the proposed scheme enhances the spectrum-sensing performance compared to the conventional counter-part.

GMA 용접로봇용 용접선 시각 추적 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Visual Sensor System for Weld Seam Tracking in Robotic GMA Welding)

  • In this study, we constructed a preview-sensing visual sensor system for weld seam tracking in real time in GMA welding. A sensor part consists of a CCD camera, a band-pass filter, a diode laser system with a cylindrical lens, and a vision board for inter frame process. We used a commercialized robot system which includes a GMA welding machine. To extract the weld seam we used a inter frame process in vision board from that we could remove the noise due to the spatters and fume in the image. Since the image was very reasonable by using the inter frame process, we could use the simplest way to extract the weld seam from the image, such as first differential and central difference method. Also we used a moving average method to the successive position data of weld seam for reducing the data fluctuation. In experiment the developed robot system with visual sensor could be able to track a most popular weld seam, such as a fillet-joint, a V-groove, and a lap-joint of which weld seam include planar and height directional variation.

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.22 기반의 인지라디오 시스템에서 다중 홉 릴레이 방식의 적용 방안을 제안한다. 먼저, 중계기를 통한 전송 시나리오를 가정하고 이를 지원하기 위한 물리 채널 프레임 구조를 예시한다. 다음으로, 분산 감지 (distributed sensing) 방식을 이용한 가용 채널 결정 방식을 제안하고 이를 토대로, 기지국 중심의 중앙집중형 (centralized) 채널 할당 기법 및 릴레이 전송을 위한 중계기 선택 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 그리고 수학적 해석과 시뮬레이션을 통한 성능 분석 결과는 제안한 다중 홉 릴레이 방식이 중계기를 사용하지 않은 기존의 인지 라디오 시스템에 비해 스펙트럼 이용효율과 시스템 수율 측면에서 성능 향상이 있음을 보여준다.
