  • This work designs an eighteen-channel bidirectional Intensity Modulation with Direct Detection (IM/DD) Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network (WDM-PON) system. The proposed system meets the requirement of the ITU-T 5G fronthaul link suggested design in G-series Recommendations-Supplement 66. The newly designed system, with a 25Gb/s/λ data rate (450Gbps as a system capacity), has been tested and simulated using OptiSystem V.19 software. The system has been evaluated by the BER with respect to variable the optical span and CW laser power. Based on the ITU-T recommendations, the simulation results demonstrate that this system might be used as an F1 and as an Fx 5G fronthaul link for functional split choices starting from options 1 to 7a. These options are required under 25Gbps/λ for each upstream and downstream link direction. Furthermore, the proposed system utilized a bidirectional single-mode optical fiber within short optical spans of up to 10 km. The proposed system is characterized by a low-cost, simple, DSP-free and amplifier-free system with a reasonable system capacity.

  • We generate short optical pulses of ∼ 6 picoseconds at 10 GHz by chirped pulse compression based on phase modulation and chirp compensation. In the suggested method, sinusoidally driven intensity and phase modulators generate chirped pulses which are subsequently suppressed by chirp compensation using a single mode fiber.

  • We are used with the alkaline ion water which an application field does to object for drinking water compare with the alkaline ion water which asked ion acid electrolysis so as to be very different. This is used with sterilization disinfection use by residual chlorine in case of strong acidity according to ph intensity, and in case of middle acidity use by washing and face washing, and mix with meal materials in case of weak acidity widely usable in cooking. Acid ion water generates as we electrolyze water. Chlorine gas and sodium hydroxide etc. was generated at electrolysis process, and we have toward sterilizing power. Derelicts such as chlorine, phosphorus, sulfur etc. are gathered from a negative ion, and we make acid ion water to + electrode direction in electrolysis. We used a diaphragm in order to disconnect too acid water and alkaline water. We implemented so that the acid water which it came down to three kinds of PWM voltage to PWM (pulse width modulation) control, and implementation method of ph intensity change authorized ph intensity between weak acidity to electrode in strong acidity as we used Microprocessor, and intensity was adjusted successively by PWM control was generated.

  • The external feedback effect on the relative intensity noise (RIN) characteristics of blue InAlGaN laser diode has been analyzed taking into account the spontaneous emission noise and the injection current for the high frequency modulation. A Langevin diffusion model was exploited to characterize its relative intensity noise. The simulation parameters were quantitatively evaluated from the optical gain properties of the InAlGaN multiple quantum well active regions by using the multiband Hamiltonian for the strained wurtzite crystals. The extracted parameters were then applied to the rate equations taking into account the external feedback and the high frequency modulation current. The RIN characteristics were investigated to optimize the low frequency laser diode noise characteristics.

  • A Forbush decrease(FD) is a depression of cosmic ray intensity observed by ground-based neutron monitors(NMs). The cosmic ray intensity is thought to be modulated by the heliospheric magnetic structures including the interplanetary coronal mass ejection(ICME) surrounding the Earth. The different magnitude of the decreasing in intensity at each NM was explained only by the geomagnetic cutoff rigidity of NM station. However, sometimes NMs of the almost same rigidity in northern and southern hemispheres observe the asymmetric intensity depression magnitudes of FD events. Thus, in this study we intend to see the effects on cosmic ray intensity depression rate of FD event recorded at different NMs due to different ICME propagation direction as an additional parameter in the model explaining the cosmic ray modulation. Fortunately, since 2006 the coronagraphs of twin spacecraft of the STEREO mission allow us to infer the propagation direction of ICME associated with the FD event in 3-dimension with respect to the Earth. We confirm that the asymmetric cosmic ray decreasing modulations of FD events are determined by the propagation directions of the associated ICMEs.

  • In single mode fiber optic transmission systems(FOT's) operated at high modulation rates over long fiber spans, chromatic dispersion can produce distortion in the demodulated waveforms, resulting in intersymbol interference(ISI) in the received signal and a reduction of transmission system performance. In this paper, chromatic dispersion limitations for intensity modulation and direct detection(IM-DD) systems are studied by considering the effect of phase modulation to amplitude modulation (PM-AM) conversion noise. Laser phase noise conversion to amplitude noise due to fiber chromatic dispersion is analyzed by deriving the noise power spectral density. We first derive the noise power spectral density of the laser phase noise to intensity noise conver- sion. Next, also evaluate the system power penalty and the transmitter laser linewidth required to avoid PM-AM conversion noise penalties in long-haul nonregenerative transmission system using an external modulator and optical amplifiers. For such system with optical amplifiers, transmission sys- tem length is limited due to fiber chromatic dispersion, even if an ideal external modulator is used.

  • In this paper, we investigated the degree of compensation for WDM channel signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion, self phase modulation (SPM) and cross phase modulation (XPM) as a function of transmission length using mid-span spectral inversion (MSSI) compensation method. The considered system is $3{\times}40$ Gbps intensity modulation direct detection (IM/DD) WDM transmission system. This system has highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber (HNL-DSF) as a nonlinear medium in optical phase conjugator (OPC). We confirmed that the transmission length is more increased by applying MSSI to distorted signal due to chromatic dispersion, SPM and XPM as dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes higher. And the compensation degree of distorted WDM channels due to chromatic dispersion, SPM and XPM becomes better stable as dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes higher.

  • In radiation therapy, the goal of three dimensional conformal radiation therapy(3DCRT) is to conform the apatial distribution of the prescribed radiation dose to the precise 3D configuration of the tomor, and at the same time, to minimize the dose to the surrounding normal tissues. To optimize treatment volume of tomor, treatment volume will be same tomor volume. Biological considerations need to be incorporated in the intensity modulation optimization process. Planning of intensity modulated treatment can irradiate more 20% in tomor compare to conventional 3DCRT. In lung cancer and rectal cancer, planning of intensity modulated treatment showed optimizing dose distribution.

  • In this paper, we investigated the degree of compensation for distorted optical pulse of wavelength division multiplexed(WDM) channel with initial frequency chirp generated in optical transmitter. The WDM channel signal distortion is due to chromatic dispersion, self phase modulation(SPM) and cross phase modulation(XPM) in fiber. The considered system is 3 ${\times}$ 40 Gbps intensity modulation direct detection(IM/DD) WDM transmission systems, which adopted mid-span spectral inversion(MSSI) as compensation method. We confirmed that the effect of initial frequency chirp on compensation for signal distortion due to a SPM is gradually decreased as a dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes gradually small. But, in the aspect of a compensation for signal distortion due to both SPM and XPM, the effect of initial frequency chirp on compensation is gradually decreased as a dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes gradually large.

  • In this paper, the network performance of a turbo coded optical code division multiple access (CDMA) system with cross-layer, which is between physical and network layers, concept is analyzed and simulated. We consider physical and MAC layers in a cross-layer concept. An intensity-modulated/direct-detection (IM/DD) optical system employing pulse position modulation (PPM) for satellite broadcasting communications is considered. In order to increase the system performance, turbo codes composed of parallel concatenated convolutional codes (PCCCs) is utilized. The network performance is evaluated in terms of bit error probability (BEP). From the simulation results, it is demonstrated that turbo coding offers considerable coding gain with reasonable encoding and decoding complexity. Also, it is confirmed that the performance of such an optical CDMA network can be substantially improved by increasing the interleaver length and the number of iterations in the decoding process. The results of this paper can be applied to implement the satellite broadcasting communications.
