  • A Rogowski coil can measure alternating currents from a few amps to over 1 million amps in a frequency range from less than 0.1 Hz to about lMhz. A Rogowski coil provides an induced output voltage which is proportional to the rate of change of the primary current enclosed by the flexible or the rigid coil-loop. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate the output voltage in order to produce a voltage proportional to the current. Also. it can reproduce the current waveform on an oscilloscope or any type of data acquisition device. This paper describes the practical design of the combination of a Rogowski coil and an integrator which provides a versatile current measuring system to accommodate a wide range of frequencies, current levels and conductor sizes.

  • 一定한 펄스反復周波數로 動作하는 MTI信號處理器에 대하여 MTI필터나 積分器의 傳達函數가 주어졌을 때 地上클러터에 대한 性能 比較 方法을 考察하였다. MTI信號處理器는 橫斷필터(transversal filter)로, 클러터의 電力密度스펙트럼은 Gaussian形態로 모델화하였고, MTI信號處理器에 대한 MTI改善因子(Improvement Factor)를 算出하여 比較하였다. MTI필터 및 Hanning加重函數를 使用한 積分器와 이들의 從屬接續인 경우에 대하여 正規化된 스펙트럼 너비에 대한 MTI改善因子의 變化를 例示하였다.

  • Many practical processes in industry have nonlinearities of some forms. One commonly encountered form is actuator saturation which can cause a detrimental effect known as integrator windup. Therefore, a strategy of attenuating the effects of integrator windup is required to guarantee the stability and performance of the overall control system. In this paper, optimal tuning of a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controller with an anti-windup scheme is presented to enhance the tracking performance of the PID control system in the presence of the actuator saturation. First, we investigate effective anti-windup schemes. Then, the parameters of both the PID controller and the anti-windup scheme are optimally tuned by an EA (Evolutionary Algorithm) such as the IAE (Integral of Absolute Error) is minimized. A set of simulation works on two high-order processes demonstrates the benefit of the proposed method.

PI-CCC Based Switched Reluctance Generator Applications for Wind Power Generation Using MATLAB/SIMULINK

  • This paper presents a novel nonlinear model of Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG) based on wind Energy Conversion system. Closed loop control with based Proportional Integrator current Chopping Control machine model is used. A Power converter in SRG can be controlled by using PI-CCC proposed model, and can be produced maximum power efficiency and minimize the ripple contents in the output of SRG. A second power converter namely PI based controlled PWM Inverter is used to interface the machine to the Grid. An effective control technique for the inverter, based on the pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme, has been developed to make the line voltage needs less power switching devices and each pair of turbine the generated active power starts increasing smoothly. This proposed control scheme feasibility and validity are simulated on SIMULINK/SIM POWER SYSTEMS only.

  • Most realistic control systems contain nonlinearities of some form. One nonlinearity commonly found in control systems is a saturating element. If integral control is applied to such a system to eliminate steady state error, an undesired side effect known as integrator windup may occur when lage setpoint changes are made. This effect leads to a characteristic step response with a large overshoot and a very high settling time. To avoid this situation, many different anti-windup strategies have been suggested. But existing strategies remain over shoot and high settling time. This paper proposes a new anti-windup strategy for PI speed controllers. When the speed control system is changed P controller to PI controller. Integrator has an appropriate initial value. This value results over shoot and high settling time. The SIMULINK/MATLAB-based comparative simulation results and experiment results of speed controller have shown its superior control performance to that of a proposed anti-windup speed controller.

  • In order to evaluate the response of the grid-connected systems, Phase lock technology is widely used in power electronic devices to obtain the phase angle, amplitude, and frequency of the grid voltage because phase locked loop (PLL) algorithms are very important for grid synchronization and monitoring in the grid connected power electronic devices. This paper presents a performance evaluation in tracking grid angular frequency through single phase synchronization techniques which are an enhanced PLL (EPLL), second-order generalized integrator-PLL (SOGI-PLL), and second-order generalized integrator-frequency locked loop (SOGI-FLL). These techniques are properly analyzed through several steps to get the best technique which can track the frequency accurately and smoothly.

  • In this paper, describes a rotor speed identification method of induction motor based on the theory of counter EMF MRAS. This method eliminated the pure integrator and we can be expected to rapid responsibility of the speed identification. Therefore, we may improve the initial condition of the integrator and drift problem. The stability of speed estimator is proved on the basis of hyperstability theory. In order to confirm the performance of the proposed system, simulation and experiment is performed.

  • 연산 증폭기의 능동 보상은 주파수의 증가에 따라 연산 증폭기의 위상천이와 이득의 감소를 보상한 것으로 이 결과를 VCVS와 번전 적분기에 적용하였다. VCVS의 경우 제안된 보상회로의 위상천이는 주파수에 無關하고 보상회로의 궤환저항의 比에 따라서 Soliman에 의해 제안된 보상회로보다 이득특성이 개선되며 Voltage-follower의 경우도 동일한 보상회로로서 주파수에 無關하게 위상이 보상되고 이득특성 또한 개선되었다. 그밖에 반전 적분기에서 Q-factor를 더욱 증가시키는 보상회로도 제시하였다.

Double-Sharpened Decimation Filter Employing a Pre-droop Compensator for Multistandard Wireless Applications

  • This paper presents a double-sharpened decimation filter based on the application of a Kaiser and Hamming sharpening technique for multistandard wireless systems. The proposed double-sharpened decimation filter uses a pre-droop compensator which improves the passband response of a conventional cascaded integrator-comb filter so that it provides an efficient sharpening performance at half-speed with comparison to conventional sharpened filters. In this paper, the passband droop characteristics with compensation provides -1.6 dB for 1.25 MHz, -1.4 dB for 2.5 MHz, -1.3 dB for 5 MHz, and -1.0 dB for 10 MHz bandwidths, respectively. These results demonstrate that the proposed double-sharpened decimation filter is suitable for multistandard wireless applications.

The HCARD Model using an Agent for Knowledge Discovery

  • In this study, we will employ a multi-agent for the search and extraction of data in a distributed environment. We will use an Integrator Agent in the proposed model on the Hierarchical Clustering and Association Rule Discovery(HCARD). The HCARD will address the inadequacy of other data mining tools in processing performance and efficiency when use for knowledge discovery. The Integrator Agent was developed based on CORBA architecture for search and extraction of data from heterogeneous servers in the distributed environment. Our experiment shows that the HCARD generated essential association rules which can be practically explained for decision making purposes. Shorter processing time had been noted in computing for clusters using the HCARD and implying ideal processing period than computing the rules without HCARD.
