This study has been performed to explore verbal and behavioral expression of sexual desires among male elderly residents who have been living in long tenn care facilities. There are three topics covered in this study; first, in what situations and how seriously do care workers encounter expression of sexual desires of the elderly residents? Second, what kind of negative consequences do they believe those sexual behaviors will lead to? Third, how can we implement defensive measures against the sexual behaviors? In this study, twenty three care workers working full time in five retirement and care facilities were asked about their experience and perception of the above study agendas, and answers of the qualitative interview were drawn as follow; first, the elderly residents apparently show a variety of sexual harassment and provoking behaviors such as sticking to specific women, physically touching and attacking, and induce obscenely activities against female residents, care workers, and volunteer visitors. Second, their sexual behaviors are often influenced by their isolated and abandoned emotionality as well as living situation in rural areas. Third, their sexual behaviors often critically affect care work plan and facility managements by severely discouraging female care givers and community supporters. Therefore in this study, suggestions and defensive measures were made as follows: first, education and counselling programs toward female workers and volunteers need to be developed, and the programs should cover psychological and behavioral mechanism of sexuality in later life. Second, self control plans need to be empowered toward the elderly residents; in the plans, the elderly residents shall be encouraged to evaluate primary cause and proper solutions of sexual behaviors of their peering residents. Third, combination of healthy housing and care facilities for frail elderly need to be integrated in a neighboring location, so that when residents and workers encounter extreme episodes of sexuality of healthy residents in a housing facility, the problematic sexual residents are partially transferred into a neighboring care facility and thereafter other residents and cafe givers are relieved from stressful contacts with the extremely sexual residents.

According to a rapid development of medical technology and increasing requirements of the users on prevention and control of diseases, whole healthcare services are changing into user-oriented services. There are many attempts and studies on integrating users' medical information but it is so difficult to implement a true user-oriented medical services because carrying the information from each medical facility to the integrated medical information system involves many conflicts of interests and authentication problems. This paper presents integrated medical information system which provides real-time medical services, allowing the users to be a critical player who can receive the medical information they want from any medical facility on their mobile devices without any change in the form of documents in relation to those issued by that facility and give that information themselves to the system through the mobile devices.

As multidisciplinary marine research is actively conducted, various types of marine research facilities and equipment are purchased every year. However, among marine research facilities and equipment, it is difficult to classify and manage various types of field observation equipment used for environmental data collection and sample collection under the current national research facility and equipment standard classification system. In the case of Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology, about 30% of research facilities and equipment are unclassified and not properly managed. In this study, marine research facilities and equipment are classified into 7 middle and 36 sub-classes according to their characteristics. It is proposed to add a large classification group called 'Environmental Observation/Analysis Equipment', to the national research facility equipment standard classification system. In addition, it is proposed to classify the equipment operated in the laboratory among marine research facilities and equipment according to the existing national research facility equipment standard classification system. Through this, it is expected that all of Korea's marine-related research facilities and equipment can be systematically classified and managed effectively.
As new database systems are developed or new functions are added to existing database systems, database developers or users would like to evaluate new database systems or new functions. This paper presents an integrated database benchmark suite. The integrated suite offers genetic benchmarks, custom benchmark, and hybrid benchmarks to users on a unified Web user interface. With regard to text data generation, the integrated suite supports eight data distributions with three data types. The integrated suite can also generate XML data in three different ways. Users can run benchmarks in realistic environments by performing the workload generation facility of the integrated suite, which generates composite workloads similar to real-world workloads. Using supporting tools, users can easily implement new generic and custom benchmarks in the integrated suite. An illustrative demonstration to add a new custom benchmark into the integrated suite is presented.
When DDoS attack is achieved, malicious host discovering is more difficult on wireless network than existing wired network environment. Specially, because wireless network is weak on wireless user authentication attack and packet spoofing attack, advanced technology should be studied in reply. Integrated Access Device (IAD) that support VoIP communication facility etc with wireless routing function recently is developed and is distributed widely. IAD is alternating facility that is offered in existent AP. Therefore, advanced traffic classification function and real time attack detection function should be offered in IAD on wireless network environment. System that is presented in this research collects client information of wireless network that connect to IAD using AirSensor. And proposed mechanism also offers function that collects the wireless client's attack packet to monitoring its legality. Also the proposed mechanism classifies and detect the attack packet with W-TMS system that was received to IAD. As a result, it was possible for us to use IAD on wireless network service stably.
Background: Kori unit #1 is permanently shut down after a 40-year lifetime. The Nuclear Safety and Security Commission recommends establishing initial decommissioning plans for all nuclear and radwaste treatment facilities. Therefore, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) must establish an initial and final decommissioning plan for radwaste-treatment facilities. Radiation safety assessment, which constitutes one chapter of the decommissioning plan, is important for establishing a decommissioning schedule, a strategy, and cost. It is also a critical issue for the government and public to understand. Materials and Methods: This study provides a method for assessing external radiation dose to workers during decommissioning. An external dose is calculated following each exposure scenario, decommissioning strategy, and working schedule. In this study, exposure dose is evaluated using the deterministic method. Physical characterization of the facility is obtained by both direct measurement and analysis of the drawings, and radiological characterization is analyzed using the annual report of KAERI, which measures the ambient dose every month. Results and Discussion: External doses are calculated at each stage of a decommissioning strategy and found to increase with each successive stage. The maximum external dose was evaluated to be 397.06 man-mSv when working in liquid-waste storage. To satisfy the regulations, working period and manpower must be managed. In this study, average and cumulative exposure doses were calculated for three cases, and the average exposure dose was found to be about 17 mSv/yr in all the cases. Conclusion: For the three cases presented, the average exposure dose is well below the annual maximum effective dose restriction imposed by the international and domestic regulations. Working period and manpower greatly affect the cost and entire decommissioning plan; hence, the chosen option must take account of these factors with due consideration of worker safety.

Recently, there was an increasing demand for an integrated access control system which is capable of user recognition, door control, and facility operations control for smart buildings automation. The market available door lock access control solutions need to be improved from the current level security of door locks operations where security is compromised when a password or digital keys are exposed to the strangers. At present, the access control system solution providers focusing on developing an automatic access control system using (RF) based technologies like bluetooth, WiFi, etc. All the existing automatic door access control technologies required an additional hardware interface and always vulnerable security threads. This paper proposes the user identification and authentication solution for automatic door lock control operations using camera based visible light communication (VLC) technology. This proposed approach use the cameras installed in building facility, user smart devices and IoT open source controller based LED light sensors installed in buildings infrastructure. The building facility installed IoT LED light sensors transmit the authorized user and facility information color grid code and the smart device camera decode the user informations and verify with stored user information then indicate the authentication status to the user and send authentication acknowledgement to facility door lock integrated camera to control the door lock operations. The camera based VLC receiver uses the artificial intelligence (AI) methods to decode VLC data to improve the VLC performance. This paper implements the testbed model using IoT open-source based LED light sensor with CCTV camera and user smartphone devices. The experiment results are verified with custom made convolutional neural network (CNN) based AI techniques for VLC deciding method on smart devices and PC based CCTV monitoring solutions. The archived experiment results confirm that proposed door access control solution is effective and robust for automatic door access control.
Welfare desire has been diversified according to the increase of economic level and rapid social change. The desire for comprehensive service on culture, medical, mental and information level has appeared. Accordingly, it is necessary to establish an integrated community mixed-support facility, a space of accepting administration, welfare, leisure, culture and informatization request in a small local community in the future. The community mixed-support facility is a meeting place of local resident for information change, various basic service and ultimately for activation of community in order to contribute to regeneration and activation of existing urban core. Thus, this study figured out general status of community mixed-support facility and physical mixed type and analyzed spatial characteristics. Current community mixed-support facility has insufficient program and space to participate in by local residents and to accommodate mixed function. The future planned community mixed-support facility must secure multiple opportunities for various types of life by returning time and cost to user through the introduction of creative mixed concept. While reflecting unique local characteristics, and considering diversity of users, it needs to make mixed facility to cope with social changes. This study is limited in that the study reached a conclusion by survey and analysis only. However, it is expected that the result can be used as basic research data for the planning of community mixed-support facility to cope with living conditions of local residents or realistic requirements.

The dream of futurists andtechnologists is to build complex, multifunctional machines so small that theycan only be seen with the aid of a microscope. The unprecedented technologyadvancements in miniaturizing integrated circuits on semiconductors, and theresulting plethora of sophisticated, low cost electronic devices demonstratethe impact that micro/nano scale engineering can have when applied only to thearea of electrical and computer engineering. Emerging research efforts indeveloping organic and inorganic nano materials together with using micro/nanofabrication techniques for implementing integrated multifunctional devices hopeto yield similar revolutions in other engineering fields. By cross linking theindividual engineering fields through micro/nano technology, various organicand inorganic materials and miniaturized system devices can be developed thatwill have future impacts in the IT and life science applications. Yet to buildthe complex micromachines and nanomachine of the future, engineering will needto develop the technology capable of seamlessly integrating these materials andsubsystems together at the micro and nano scales. The micromachines of thefuture will be “integrated nanosystems,” complex devices requiring the integration of multiple materials, phenomena, technologies, and functions at the same platform. To develop thistechnology will require great efforts in materials science and engineering, infundamental and applied sciences. In this talk, we will first discuss thenature of micro and nanotechnology research for IT and life sciences, and thenintroduce selected current activities in micro and nanotechnology research fororganic and inorganic materials and devices. The newly developed micro/nanofabrication processes and devices, combined with in-depth scientificunderstandings of materials, can lead to rapid development of next generationsystems for applications in IT and life sciences.
