  • This paper investigated the effect of music and science integrated activities using instruments designed to test both musical concept and science inquiry process skills of children. The subjects of this study consisted of two classes of children aged 5 at H Kindergarten in Busan city. This study involved a class of 31 children using a music and science integrated curriculum as the experimental group and another class of 32 children using a traditional music and science curriculum as the control group. The integrated activities were used 12 times over a 6-week period. A test was taken to evaluate the effects of the integrated activities on the children's understanding on seven sub-categories of musical concepts and six sub-categories of science inquiry process skills. The results were that the experimental group showed significantly higher improvements in all subcategories of musical concept and science inquiry process skills, compared to the control group. Based on these results, we concluded that these integrated activities were effective in the development of both musical concepts and the science inquiry process skills of children.

  • The curriculum of integrated social studies is not conceptually established, but various forms pursuing so-called perfect integrated subject have appeared from elementary school to high school. But we cannot find out desirable integration in the elementary school though the apparent goal is to integrate all kinds of social concepts into one unit. The current method of integration has some problems over advantages people initially expected by integration. It is problematic in that students learn fragmental knowledges of geography without capturing the whole geographical concept structure or obtaining their own geographical viewpoint. Therefore, we purpose to reinterpret integration of social studies and reorganize the current textbook into the right direction under the assumption that simple mixture of knowledges is far from our goal of true integration. For this purpose, we suggest a new method for social studies as an integrated subject. Instead of providing knowledges unrelated to each other into one bundle, it helps students to see the real world in his own knowledge framework equipped with geographical viewpoint. The text we claim will show students that geography consists of three key concepts: physical environment, man and environment, and spatial structure. With this text, they will have an easy access to the relationships between key concepts and details, and between geographical concepts and similar concepts from other disciplines. The proposal contributes to both upcoming textbook development and classroom teaching by eliminating problems in the current social studies teaching.

  • This research compares the subjects of "Integrated Science" and "Converged Science" in the 2015 Revised National Curriculum, through core concepts. The content priorities and levels of integration of each core concept were evaluated through an analytical framework, and visualized using two-dimensional visualization matrix of the content priorities and the levels of integration. The results show that "Integrated Science" had fewer core concepts, higher in priorities and slightly lower levels of integration than "Converged Science". This can be an evidence that "Integrated Science" is excellent in rigor and not so much inferior in relevance. And also, through visualization of analysis results, the characteristics of integrated subjects could easily be understood and compared.

  • A value can be placed on the integrated science curriculum in terms of producing an insight into solving the routine problem. From such a point of view, the comprehensive concepts which explain the extensive natural phenomena were defined as the integrated themes in this study, and the contents of the integrated science curriculum were developed, as the understanding of the contents focused on the integrated theme enables us to be productive and have an insight. Through analyzing teaching materials, programs and curriculums in relation to the integrated science, five concepts of system, interaction, harmony and balance, structure and function, and circulation were established as the integrated themes, and the nature of each integrated theme was examined. Next, in accordance with the integrated theme, the content of the integrated science curriculum, which are deeper in aspect of the integration level than that of the current science of middle school, were developed. The content of the integrated science curriculum which was proposed in this study is of great significance. in that they provide new perspectives related to our current science curriculum.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze teacher's teaching-learning strategies and young children's concepts related to mathematics and science in integrated mathematics and science education activities. To achieve this purpose, actual class episodes were analyzed. The episodes were derived from 7 sessions of interaction between teacher and 4 kindergartners in integrated mathematics and science education activities. As a result of the study, children's concepts related to mathematics and science in integrated mathematics and science education activities occurred three factors: the relationship between weight, shape and movement, the relationship between weight and size, and the concept of measurement. In teacher's teaching-learning strategies, three factors were revealed: teacher's questioning, use of teaching materials, and children grouping.

  • Many biomedical research groups have been trying to share their outputs to increase the efficiency of research. As part of their efforts, a common ontology named Gene Ontology(GO), which comprises controlled vocabulary for the functions of genes, was built. However, data from many research groups are distributed and most systems don't support integrated semantic queries on them. Furthermore, the semantics of the associations between concepts from external classification systems and GO are still not clarified, which makes integrated semantic query infeasible. In this paper we present an ontology matching and integration system, called AutoGOA, which first resolves the semantics of the associations between concepts semi-automatically, and then constructs integrated ontology containing concepts from GO and external classification systems. Also we describe a web-based application, named GOGuide II, which allows the user to browse, query and visualize integrated data.

  • In is a recent trend of the world to study the integrated science curriculum development. This study aims at pursuing how to integrate physics and earthscience in high school course and forming a tentative plan as to an integrated process between both the subjects. The one was compared with the other accor ding to the basic concepts and theteaching objecties. The contents of these two subjects were analysed, the overlapping parts being chosen, and so in the hierachy of the curriculum, some mistakes were found in eaching these two two subjects. It proved valid to in tegrate these two subject. A concrete scheme was offered to in tegrate these two subjects-physics and earthscience, when a tentative plan concerning, the integra ted process was made. This new plan can make the time required for teaching decrease by 5% The better study on the basic structure of the integrated concepts between these two subjects will go on further in this respect. It is necessary to train again the teachres concerned with this new subject and to put an emphasis on the elective course between physics and earthscience in the teacher's college curriculum.

  • Recently industrial control systems have been required to ensure intelligent, high tech automation, interconnection and interoperability demands. Therefore, there is a need to redefine the structure concepts of SCADA system for wind power. Also, at this time, the integrated management system is required for the distributed development of wind farms where are needed often interoperability features and exchange information between different wind farms, wind turbines or SCADA systems. In this paper, an integrated structural concepts for SCADA system are defined. Based on this definition of an integrated SCADA system, the basic designs are analyzed on physical layer, system layer and application layer which are corresponded to wind turbine controller, the SCADA server and the SCADA client, and implement HMI. Between the implementation SCADA server and the client, their normal functions were verified at the small scale wind energy test facilities.

  • This paper selects 100 IT companies listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2020, and the public announcement in Hwajung collects ESG integrated ratings and grades for each sector and empirically verifies the relationship between ESG ratings and stock returns. Huazheng ESG level data and QIANZHAN database Using corporate financial data, a total of 500 samples were selected through correlation analysis and linear regression analysis with SPSS23 to analyze the effect of ESG on Return. As a result of the analysis, first, the impact on stock returns was found to be a significant positive (+) value for ESG integrated ratings and ratings by E (environment), S (social), and G (governance) sectors, confirming that ESG ratings have a positive mold of corporate stock returns. Currently, the world's major economies have proposed sustainable development strategies and "carbon neutral" goals. Development strategies are very consistent with ESG concepts, and companies that agree and execute ESG concepts may have higher ratings than other companies in the same industry, resulting in certain evaluation premiums. In addition, capital market performance in recent years shows that companies with ESG concepts or "carbon neutrality" concepts are generally considered to have higher growth potential and stronger anti-risk capabilities in the market. For listed companies, they should focus on ESG investment, improve ESG performance, and actively disclose related information to investors. Improving ESG performance should deliver positive information to society, enhance corporate image, increase market confidence in the future development of listed companies, and positively improve corporate value to actively increase financial, financial, trading, and other aspects of negotiation.
