The research expects that textual sources such as reading texts with additional information in the form of texts can be effective inspiration sources for fashion design ideation and development process. This research analyzes how efficiently textual sources work along with individual internal sources, such as sociocultural influence, design fixation, and during the design process. Six fashion design graduate students shared 2 inspirational experiences under 2 different studies (4 experiences in total); in addition, in-depth interviews were conducted based on individual design sketches. The result shows that textual sources provided a positive effect on all 6 participants with different intensities based on various backgrounds and individual tastes. This result demonstrates individual 'influence' (their sociocultural capital such as personal preferences, likings, habits, and past experiences) and 'inspiration' mutually work together to make an effect on fashion designers' ideation and development process for the design, sometimes one working more than the other (or vice versa), respectively. This paper makes important practical contributions by identifying and discussing the design behavior performed (especially in fashion design) by fashion design students during the design process with new sources of inspiration provided such as textual sources. The research revealed how textual sources can be an effective inspiration for fashion design students and provide insight to fashion design educators and professional fashion designers.

Deep inspiration breathing hold (DIBH) compared to free-breathing (FB) during radiotherapy (RT) has significantly decreased radiation dose to heart and has been one of the techniques adopted for patients with breast cancer. However, patients who are unable to make suitable deep inspiration breath may not be eligible for DIBH, yet still need to spare the heart and lung during breast cancer RT (left-sided RT in particular). Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a positive airway pressure ventilator, which keeps the airways continuously open and subsequently inflates the thorax resembling thoracic changes from DIBH. In this report, authors applied CPAP instead of FB during left-sided breast cancer RT including internal mammary node in a patient who was unable to tolerate DIBH, and substantially decreased radiation dose the heart and lung with CPAP compared to FB.

Objectives : This study aims to evaluate the effects of expiration-to-inspiration time ratio (E/I-ratio) on heart rate, which represents cardiac autonomic function, and cold-heat in the healthy people. Methods : 49 healthy young volunteers(male : female = 32 : 17) were recruited in the study. The participants completed the questionnaire for yin-yang pattern identification and then we measured the chest plethysmogram for respiration signal and the electrocardiogram for NN intervals during different E/I-ratio from 1 to 2. We compared heart rate variability including RMS-SD, VLF, LF and HF, and the trend-cycle factors decomposed from NN interval data by time series analysis among the respective E/I-ratio. We also confirmed the difference on the trend-cycle factors according to the score of the questionnaire for cold and heat pattern identification. Results : There were differences on the trend-cycle factors from NN interval data, but no significant difference on heart rate variability, among the respective E/I-ratio. We also found significant relationship between the trend-cycle factors and the heat pattern identification scores. Conclusions : The results indicate that cardiac autonomic function can be modulated by the E/I-ratio and the modulation will be slower and more tendencious than respiratory sinus arrhythmia.

The inspiration and its application in fashion design is considered as one of the important factors in boosting the fashion arena. Many inspirations are adapted in fashion de-sign and they make the fashion design unique and characteristic. In this study many fashion designs are analyzed to find what kind of inspirations were adapted and utilized for the fashion design in reality. The nature historic costumes ethcin costumes arts sciences literature music sports were revealed as the sources of fashion inspiration.l The concerns on the environments movies and dramas could provide inspirations in fashion as well. Several contents or steps were studied to provide the one of the example of appli-cations as follows: 1. The works of Marc Chagall were analized to figure out and several plastic characteristics from his works were revealed such as fantastic strong colors unreal animal pattern or their details his wife and friends various divisions of the surface and so on. These attributes had been favored in depiction of his works to ex-press his home town or nostalgia. 2. '90s fashion designs inspired by the works of Chagall were analized to find out the meth-odology or the process of designs. The same Chagall colors were used in design and similar pattern were expressed through beaded work or printing jobs. The surface designs such as printing were the most prefered method in adapting the inspirations. 3. The plastic characteristics of the work of Chagall were attempted in clothing design and construction. The color combination patterns which remind the animals the surface divisions were used in design ot practive the methodologies.

Surrealism's method of expression and inspiration has been a continuous influence on fashion. What is important is how to identify and research a source of inspiration, and how to use this inspiration to guide the designs that can be worn on a real human body. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to show how to develop ideas and designs from Surrealist objects and how to contribute to the development of designs to the diversity in visual and functional effects along with the changes in consumer's interest. Documentary studies about Surrealism and Surrealist-inflected fashion applying the works of Surrealist and fashion images as a tool of historical research were proceeded. And the ideas for theme, the motifs for print patterns, and the concept of designs were borrowed from Surrealist objects touching on the imagery between the real and reflected, optical and artificial, and the designs were developed with several different visual and functional effects changing color, pattern, size, and length with the function of zippers in each item. It also gives the person wearing it amusement because it includes the concept of play and D.I.Y. With effective planning, it is possible to attract consumer's interest in the market.

This study was designed to analyze normal nasal respiratory resistance in prepubertal children. The subjects consisted of 30 prepubertal children (male: 15, female: 15). The mean age was 11.4 years in male children and 11.5 years in female children. The results were as follows: I. The normal nasal respiratory patency was lower than the normal values from RION corp. 2. The normal nasal respiratory airflow rates showed no sexual differences. And there were no differences between inspiration and expiration. 3. Before and after use of nasal decongestants, there were no significant differences of normal nasal respiratory airflow rates and after the administration of nasal decongestants, nasal respiratory patency manifested lower variability. 4. The normal nasal respiratory resistance without nasal decongestants at 150 Pascal in inspiration was $0.30Pa/cm^3/sec({\pm}0.07)$ and peak nasal inspiratory airflow rate was $1016.83cm^3/sec({\pm}223.89)$. 5. The normal nasal respiratory resistance with nasal decongestant at 150 Pascal in inspiration was $0.25Pa/cm^3/sec({\pm}0.05)$ and peak nasal inspiratory airflow rate was $1148.33cm^3/sec({\pm}234.29)$.

Inspiration plays an essential role in architectural design process that compels architects to bring their ideas into final product by engaging in creative thinking. The relation in between architecture and music has been one of combination throughout architectural history used as inspirations for façade's forms and shapes, space configurations and arrangements, and etc. Applying music in architecture produces creative and scientific design methods, provides attractions for visitors, and reflects the social and cultural identities and changes of the particular period. This research aims to analyze the correlations between architecture and music in depth, and examine the perception of musically inspired architecture by empirical study. Five buildings that applied musical rhythms were chosen for survey questionnaires in order to observe how people majoring in architecture, music, and other fields perceive musically inspired architecture differently by matching the music with the building that correlate to each other. By examining the reasons that the respondents have selected such music with a building from the questionnaires, the keywords are extracted and interpreted. The results showed that it is possible for people to perceive music from architecture, and that it is suitable to use music as a source of inspiration in architectural designs.

본 연구는 속도 방식에 따른 보행훈련이 일반 성인의 호흡기능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상자 37명을 세 그룹으로 나누어 각각 속보, 평보, 교대 보행훈련을 실시하였다. 보행 훈련은 트레드밀 위에서 시행되었고, 60분간 시행하였으며 주당 3회, 6주간 실시하였다. 흡기 압력과, 최대 흡기량 및 가로막 움직임 크기 변화가 측정되었고, 반복 측정분산분석을 사용하여 시간별, 집단간 차이 및 상호작용을 분석하였다. 흡기 압력의 경우 시기에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 시기와 집단 간의 상호작용에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 최대 흡기량의 경우 역시 시기에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 시기와 집단 간의 상호작용에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 가로막 움직임 크기 변화의 경우 시기에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었고, 시기와 집단 간의 상호작용에서 또한 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 각 그룹 간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 사후검정을 시행한 결과 교대군과 평보군 사이에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이상과 같은 결과로 볼 때 빠른 속도와 느린 속도를 병행하는 보행 훈련이 가로막 움직임 변화에 더 긍정적인 효과를 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Towards the second half of 20th century the fashion market has become increasely fragmented reflecting the pluality of cultures. As a result style no longer had time to accrue individuality and so people lost interest. In the aftermath of this fashion has turned its atten-tion to its materials for inspiration and inno-vation. Taking their inspiration for new working designers have began to explore diverse materials and expressive techniques of tex-ture. Textural expression can change the im-age of a garment even on with the same structural design. This study is to present the crinkle express-ive technique of texture through the applied examples in contemporary fashion and related backgrounds. The result of this study testified the import-ance of texture as plastic element through various techniques of crinkle; 1) creasing technique is reminiscent of the delphos of Fortuny by modern materials 2) twisting tech-nique is that finished garment is twisted and crumpled by hand 3) shirnking technique is recreated method that is crushed and tied for granting the human touch to the material.

최근 장애인에 대한 사회적 배려 및 관심이 높아지면서 장애인을 위한 각종 보조기구가 많이 개발되고 있다. 대부분의 청각, 시각, 정아 장애인들은 정자, 수화 등을 통해 타인과의 의사소통이 가능하며, 또한 이들을 위한 많은 보조기구가 개발되어 큰 도움을 받고 있지만 척수 손상 환자들을 위한 보조기구는 전무한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 척수 손상 환자를 위해 들숨, 날숨 기반으로 각종 기기(컴퓨터, 휠체어, 콘센트 등)들을 작동시키며, 또한 입력된 분자를 음성으로 출력할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하여 척수 손상 환자들이 최소한의 도움으로 독립적인 활동이 가능하도록 하였다.
