과학 현상에 대한 초등학생들의 의문 유형과 초등교사들의 설명 유형과의 관계 (The Relationships between the Patterns of Elementary School Teachers' Explanations and the Patterns of Elementary School Students' Questions on Scientific Phenomena)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between the patterns of elementary school teachers' explanations and the patterns of students' questions types on scientific phenomena. for the purposes of this study, we collected questions related to scientific phenomena from 255 $3rd{\sim}6th$ students in 2 elementary schools. Classifying the students' questions collected, 20 representative questions for each type were selected. Data regarding teachers' scientific explanation from 62 teachers of 3 elementary schools were also collected. The results of the analysis of the questions for each science field show that the students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades have the most questions regarding biology, and those in the 6th grade have more questions regarding earth science. Regarding question types, object exploration questions and explican exploration questions formed the majority. Moreover, the higher the students' grades, a decrease in the number of conjectural questions and an increase in the number of causal questions were observed. As a result of the analysis of the teachers' explanation, the following explanation types could be discerned; conjecture, hypothesis, prediction, teleological explanation, information given to feed exploration questions, as well as verification and information supply fer verification purposes. There were 4 kinds of relationships between question types and explanation types. One was the explanation fitting to each question type, a second was the explanation with additional content than the question required, a third was where the explanation was inappropriate to the question, and a forth was where the teacher responded that they "don't know." This study, investigating the relationships between questioning as a scientific inquiry process and explanation, will help to promote discussion regarding science classes in elementary school.

한의과대학에서의 기공교육 향상을 위한 강의 만족도 조사 (Satisfaction of Qigong Lecture in College of Oriental Medicine)

  • Objectives : To understand the basis for future improvement and development in the lectures, an evaluation was made on the lecture by the 'theory-practice-self study' system initiated in 'Yangseng Qigong(養生氣功) and practice' at Daegu Haani University. Method : We surveyed the satisfaction of 'Yangsaeng Qigon and Practice' which is the lecture that is composed theory, practice, self study for 120 students at college of oriental medicine in Daegu Haani University. Result : In the inquiry for the satisfaction with the general class of 'Yangsaeng Qigong and practice', 69% of students answered positively. As to the satisfaction with class grouping, 76% answered affirmatively, and as to the question "Agreement to the plan workable?", 72% said it was satisfactory, showing lectures by class grouping were made successful as planed. As to satisfaction with theory lectures, 36% were satisfied (38% unsatisfied), as to practice 90% was satisfied (2% unsatisfied) and as to the self-study and special lectures, 36% was satisfied (23% unsatisfied), showing the satisfaction was relatively higher for practice. To the question "Was it helpful in understanding hygiene Danjeon-breathing science?", 31% said yes (16% no) for theory, 87% yes (3% no) for practices, 32% yes (32% no) for special lectures, and 37% yes (28% no) for team assignments. Conclusions : The textbooks and majors of the lecturers turned out to be varied, but as seen from the result of lecture satisfaction on 'Yangseng Qigong and practice', it was different according to the preparedness of the lecturers and satisfaction with the lecture material. Despite the situation that most schools have chosen it as a major subject, the subject name was divergent among schools and the textbook and the content of practice were also not unified. At the point of globally rising interest in Qigong, this will only lead to its weak competitiveness when advancing to the world.

초등학생과 중학생의 과학긍정경험 향상 요인에 대한 질적 탐구 (Qualitative Inquiry on Factor for Improving Elementary and Secondary Students' Positive Experiences about Science)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factor for improving elementary and secondary students' positive experiences about science (PES). In-depth interviews with 32 students and 8 teachers from 8 elementary and secondary Science Core schools were conducted to explore the factors for improving the student's PES. The analysis of the results reveal that the eight key factors which had a decisive impact on a student's PES were 'practice-centered exploratory activities', 'student-led class', 'positive and professional feedback', 'construction of knowledge through exploration', 'class considering student's interest and aptitude', 'use of materials related to real life', 'smooth communication and collaboration in group activities', and 'appropriate difficulty in learning content'. There were also five environmental factors that affected these key factors: 'teacher's professionalism for science classes', 'science class environment', 'teacher community in unit schools', 'change in curriculum', and 'scientific activities other than regular classes'. Based on these results, the practical implications for improving the student's PES are suggested.

입체도형에 관한 초등학교 수학 교과서 분석 (An Analysis of Elementary Mathematics Textbooks on Three-Dimensional Figures)

  • 본 논문은 2007년 개정 수학과 교육과정에서 제시된 입체도형에 관한 내용을 바탕으로 세 가지 측면에서 개정 교과서를 면밀하게 분석하였다. 첫째, 전반적인 지도 내 용을 살펴본 결과 교육과정과의 연계성, 단원 제시 방식, 지도 내용의 적절성, 교과서 에 제시된 입체도형의 정의에 대해 유의할 측면이 부각되었다. 둘째, 입체도형의 지도 방법에 대한 분석 결과 각 단계별 활동이 잘 구현되지 않은 도형이 있었는데, 주로 탐구하기의 활동이 부족한 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, 입체도형을 활용한 공간감각의 지도 방법을 분석한 결과 기존에 비해 예측하기와 표현하기 활동이 상대적으로 강화되었음 을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 토대로 입체도형과 관련된 교과용도서 개발 및 적용에 기초적인 자료 및 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

예비 과학 교사의 화학 개념에 대한 이해도와 문제 해결 능력 조사 (Research on Pre-Service Science Teachers' Understanding of and Problem-Solving Ability with Regard to Chemistry Concepts)

  • 본 연구에서는 사범대학 과학교육과에 재학 중인 예비 과학 교사들을 대상으로 고등학교 교육과정에 해당하는 화학 개념의 이해도와 문제 해결 능력을 관련 문항을 이용하여 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 오답을 선택하며 문제 해결에 필요한 정확한 개념을 가지지 못하는 예비 과학 교사들이 모든 문항에서 발견되었다. 이 결과의 원인을 찾기 위한 심층 질문을 통해 일부 예비 과학 교사에게서 나타난 몇 가지 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 예비 과학 교사들은 고등학생들에 비해 상대적으로 정확한 개념을 가지고 있었지만 몇몇 개념들에 대해서 고등학생들과 동일한 오개념을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 과학개념의 일반적 정의나 의미는 알고 있었지만 교육과정 상 강조하는 내용을 정확히 이해하지 못하였으며, 시각적으로 인지된 정보로 문제를 해결하려는 경향이 있었다. 셋째, 문제 해결과 관련된 일반적 개념의 필요성은 인식하는 반면 탐구와 관련하여 문제 해결에 필수적인 능력을 간과하거나 문제 해결에 도움이 되지 않는 상위 교육과정의 필요성을 제안하는 경향이 있었다.

사회수학적 규범과 수학교실문화 (Sociomathematical Norms and the Culture of the Mathematics Classroom)

  • Given that the culture of the mathematics classroom has been perceived as an important topic in mathematics education research, this paper deals with the construct of sociomathematical norms which can be used as an analytical tool in understanding classroom mathematical culture. This paper first reviews the theoretical foundations of the construct such as symbolic interactionism and ethnomethodology, and describes the actual classroom contexts in which social and sociomathematical norms were originally identified. This paper then provides a critical analysis of the previous studies with regard to sociomathematical norms. Whereas such studies analyze how sociomathematical norms become constituted and stabilized in the specific classroom contexts, they tend to briefly document sociomathematical norms mainly as a precursor to the detailed analysis of classroom mathematical practice. This paper reveals that the trend stems from the following two facts. First, the construct of sociomathematical norms evolved out of a classroom teaching experiment in which Cobb and his colleagues attempted to account for students' conceptual loaming as it occurred in the social context of an inquiry mathematics classroom. Second, the researchers' main role was to design instructional devices and sequences of specific mathematical content and to support the classroom teacher to foster students' mathematical learning using those sequences Given the limitations in terms of the utility of sociomathematical norms, this paper suggests the possibility of positioning the sociomathematical norms construct as more centrally reflecting the quality of students' mathematical engagement in collective classroom processes and predicting their conceptual teaming opportunities. This notion reflects the fact that the construct of sociomathematical norms is intended to capture the essence of the mathematical microculture established in a classroom community rather than its general social structure. The notion also allows us to see a teacher as promoting sociomathematical norms to the extent that she or he attends to concordance between the social processes of the classroom, and the characteristically mathematical ways of engaging. In this way, the construct of sociomathematical norms include, but in no ways needs to be limited to, teacher's mediation of mathematics discussions.

초등 저학년 학생들에게 과학 경험은 충분할까? - 초등 저학년 학생의 과학에 대한 인식과 과학 경험에 대한 사례 연구 - (Is Science Experience Enough for Early Elementary Students? - A Case Study on the Perception of Science and Science Experience of Early Elementary Students -)

  • In Korea, the lower elementary grades are applying a topic-oriented integrated curriculum. It causes a lack of science content and inquiry experience for young children. The purpose of this study is to understand the scientific experiences and perceptions of the lower elementary graders and to inquire about the meaning of those experiences in their science learning. Four students (male 2, female 2), their parents, and their first-year homeroom teachers participated in the study. The data collection was mainly conducted through in-depth interview of them. Results showed that the 'experiments' were the student's the main perception of science, and the epistemic emotion that students mainly feel about science was 'curiousness'. Since most experiences were dependent on non-formal educational experience, the parents were an important factor to determine their experiences about science. Various factors, such as students' scientific experiences, their epistemic emotions, and the parents, interacted to form children's perception of science. The positive perception of science affected the level of motivation and expectation for science learning as the third grade. It is suggested that improvement of curriculum and textbooks should emphasize scientific exploration for the lower graders of elementary school, which provides them meaningful scientific experience in school.

교사의 관점에서 제안된 초등 과학 영역의 모바일 앱 콘텐츠 유형 및 주제 (Types and Themes of Mobile Application Contents in Primary Science Learning Derived From Teachers' Perspectives)

  • 본 연구는 모바일 앱의 활용을 통해 기존에 팽배한 디지털 교과서나 인터넷 강의 위주의 모바일 학습의 형태와는 다른 새로운 학습 기회의 창출이 가능함에 주목하고, 학교 교육과정과의 연계성 속에서 효과적으로 활용될 수 있는 모바일 앱 콘텐츠의 유형 및 주제를 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 교사 20명을 대상으로 서책형 및 디지털 교과서의 양식에 대해 느끼는 장점과 단점, 모바일 학습의 장점과 단점, 모바일 앱 개발에 적합하다고 인식하는 주제에 대한 데이터를 개별 면담 형식을 통해 수집하였다. 연구결과 특정 단원이나 주제로 콘텐츠의 범위를 국한시키는 '수평적 활용'보다는 활동중심의 앱을 개발하여 '수직적 활용'을 유도하는 것이 더욱 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 더불어 교육적 어포던스의 개념에서 볼 때 도출된 아이디어의 대부분이 멀티미디어 접근 위주였으며, 협동적 상호작용과 위치 인식 기능 등 모바일 기기만의 어포던스를 적극 활용한 아이디어는 많이 도출되지 않았다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 향후 학교 교육과정과의 연계속에서 모바일 학습을 확산하기 위해서는 콘텐츠 개발뿐만 아니라, 직접적 탐구활동과 모바일화를 반대되는 개념으로 보는 교사들의 인식론을 극복할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향 및 이슈 (The Trend and The Issues of Domestic Studies in Relation to Science Teaching-Learning Methods)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 국내 학회의 학술지 6종에 게재된 논문들을 연도 방법 대상 주제에 따라 분석했다. 분석대상은 과학교육 분야 문헌들에서 공통적으로 제시하고 있는 방법들을 추출되었다. 분석 결과 과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 연구들은 2000년 이후 지속적인 증가세를 보였다. 교수 학습 방법 중 실험, 협동학습, 토의가 많이 연구되었다. 이 세 가지 방법에 관한 연구들에서 가장 많이 채택하고 있는 연구방법은 실험연구로 나타났다. 다음으로는 내용분석, 조사연구, 사례연구 등의 순으로 나타났다. 세 가지 방법에 관한 실험연구는 중학생을 대상으로 한 것이 가장 많았다. 특히 실험연구를 통해 과학 성취도, 태도, 탐구능력, 자기효능감과 관련한 과학 교수 학습방법의 효과를 알아보는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과를 근거로 볼 때 향후 과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 연구는 다양한 방법들에 대한 적용 개발 연구 등이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 질적 연구방법을 통해 교수 학습 방법이 실제 교육현장에 적용되는 맥락을 분석하도록 연구 방향이 확대될 필요가 있다고 생각된다. 그리고 다양한 학습자 집단을 대상으로 한 연구를 통해 교수 학습 방법의 효과를 종단적 횡단적으로 접근하려는 시도가 필요할 것이다.

한방간호 연구동향 분석 (Research Trend of Oriental Nursing in Korea)

  • Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to analyze the trends of research related with oriental nursing. Method: 124 articles about oriental nursing from 1990 to July 2003 were analyzed according to the articles' characteristics, sources by publication period, research design, nursing intervention effect of experimental study and concept, and content of literature review. Result: 1. The number of studies related with oriental nursing has progressively increased by year from 1990, and that of articles was the highest during the period between 1995 to 1999. 2. The majority of research design were survey and correlational studies, and most of them were published in the before 2000. But experimental design were used in the after 2000. 3. Nursing intervention used in the experimental design were Dan Jeon Breathing, Qigong, Yoga, Guided Imagery, Aroma therapy, San-Yin-Jiao(SP-6) Pressure, Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, Massage(Meridian Point, hand, foot, etc.) Chuna- Bed Exercise Program. Diet for Sasang Constitution etc. 4. The key concept of literature review articles is ki(energy), oriental nursing, health promotion, oriental medicine management of illness etc. Conclusion: The summary of the above results shows a tendency that the study has increased by year. Especially, experimental study proved affirmative effect. Besides in the literature review, inquiry of theories and practical perspective, which is necessary for the establishment of oriental nursing was introduced. However, for the establishment of oriental nursing, more experimental and qualitative studies are to be required.
