Self-care to prevent cancer and self-management to cope with the disease are two discrete effective mechanisms for improving of control and management of neoplasia. Both them have certain strategies and practices. Often the two are used interchangeably despite their different approaches. Strategies of self-care usually refer to prevention at different levels include primary, secondary and tertiary. In contrast, strategies of self-management are related to management and alleviation of unpleasant cancer-related symptoms and treatment-related side effects for improving the quality of life of cancer survivors. Successful promoting of self-care and self-management strategies need people and survivor empowerment. Within this context, innovative approaches open a new window. In this paper after a brief review of related strategies and practices, we provide an explanation of how cancer portals may play an important role in the empowerment process and what are key potentials for implementing of self-care and self-management strategies for cancer.

Within the article, strategic guidelines for the modernization of microeconomic systems are identified. Modernization levels of the potential implementation are formalized for enterprises: contractile, extensive technical, technological, progressive, adaptive, steady, intensive, creative, absolute and leader modernization. This allowed to specify the directions and tasks of the enterprise modernization at different management levels. Accordingly, the conditions and criteria for selecting resource tools are set. It is proved that the strategies of the potential modernization of enterprises must be carried out at four main management levels: first, at the enterprise level; secondly, for a particular type of product / service; third, by functional directions of modernization of separate spheres of the enterprise activity or responsibility, fourth, at the level of structural units of the enterprise. It is substantiated that in the processes due to the activation of the potential modernization, the resources are transformed into the results of the innovation implementation and the investment strategies modernization. A system of tasks for the corporate strategies implementation in order to modernize microeconomic systems has been formed. Key vectors of the activation determine the nature and properties of investment resources and necessary innovations to enhance the modernization potential. Therefore, the system of innovation and investment strategies' modernization, based on the vector and resource provision of the modernization process, is specified:
Purpose - This paper addresses the role of designers in design-oriented firms and how they should work together with other organization members. The aim of this paper is to investigate how designers generate ideas and cooperate with others as well as how their participation in decision-making reflects on corporate design strategies. Research design, data, and methodology - An in-depth exploratory study examined how designers actually perform their roles in enterprises; in addition, information, knowledge, communication among designers, and sources of creativity were examined. Hanssem and Ikea grew as design-intensive businesses in a declining industry. Data were obtained from interviews with the design staff of each company as well as secondary sources. Results - Designers were found to use their designs to communicate with customers as well as with communities outside of the enterprise; they also participated in overall decision-making in relation to important design strategies. Conclusions - This study emphasized the increasing importance of the innovative and creative role of designers; thus, it might substantially help companies to develop their own design capabilities and deploy design strategies.
This study analyzed the effects of organizational culture on psychological empowerment and organization efficiency, and the effects of psychological empowerment on organization efficiency in fashion companies. In addition, this study analyzed the differences between organizational culture, psychological empowerment and organization efficiency across demographic characteristics. The survey was conducted among employees of fashion companies, and 320 responses were used in the data analysis. As a result, the group culture and innovative culture in fashion companies positively influenced the competence and meaning of psychological empowerment. An innovative culture and rational culture positively influenced the self-determination, and the group culture and rational culture positively influenced the impact of psychological empowerment. The group culture, innovative culture, and rational culture of fashion companies positively influenced job satisfaction, and the group culture, innovative culture, and hierarchical culture positively influenced job commitment. The group culture and innovative culture negatively influenced the turnover intention, but the hierarchical culture positively influenced the turnover intention. In addition, the psychological empowerment (competence, self-determination, impact, and meaning) positively influenced job satisfaction, and the competence, self-determination, and impact positively influenced job commitment. Competence negatively influenced the turnover intention, but the impact positively influenced the turnover intention. There was a difference in the group culture and turnover intention by ages, as well as a difference in the hierarchical culture and self-determination by work departments. The results of this study will be helpful for the establishment of the management and business strategies in fashion companies.

Most luxury fashion brands have a strong brand identity and the product design characteristics of a brand are critical factors that influence brand identity. The design of products influence brand identity and play an important role in the choice by consumers in which brand to purchase. This study investigates the impact design characteristics of luxury brands on brand attitudes as well as purchase intentions in the examination of the differences in the impact influence by product category and consumer characteristics. The product design of brands was evaluated and measured by innovative and traditional characteristics. The product categories were divided into apparel, bags, shoes, and accessories. The consumer characteristics used in this study are fashion involvement, age, income, and the amount of money used for purchasing fashion products. Sample brands, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Burberry, and Gucci, were extracted from the Intel-brand's Luxury Brand Ranking 2008 and pilot tested for appropriateness. The data collected from 120 luxury consumers and 92 samples were statistically analyzed with SPSS 15.0, reliability test, factor analysis, ANOVA, frequency test, regression, and t-test. The findings are as follow. First, luxury brands were divided into two groups by innovative design characteristics and traditional design characteristics; innovative design characteristics show a significant influence on brand attitude and purchase intention. Second, only fashion related behavior factors among consumer characteristics became moderators when design characteristics influenced brand attitude and purchase intention. Third, the differences in purchase intention affected by design characteristics were found in bags, shoes, and accessories category. It is necessary for luxury brands to focus on innovative design characteristics and to specify the different needs of consumers through fashion related behavioral factors. This research will be useful to luxury brands in designing products and planning marketing strategies by offering specific information for luxury brand consumers.

For the implementation of innovative products or services companies use different innovation strategies, in particular, outsourcing is quite widespread, given the high level of specialization and professionalism of companies that provide such services. The aim of this article was to evaluate the link between outsourcing of innovative activities and indicators of companies' efficiency. The methodology of the research includes the methods of correlation analysis and regression analysis to reveal the correlation between the use of outsourcing of innovative products and services and the turnover of the EU enterprises. The results show a high level of innovative activity of EU enterprises (50.3% innovatively active). Innovative business processes are the most widespread form of innovation activity (41% of enterprises implement business processes, and the indicator is higher than 41% in the most developed EU countries). The turnover of enterprises with new or substantially improved products was found to grow by 10.92% for the period 2016-2018. The correlation analysis shows weak direct links between the indicator of turnover growth and the number of enterprises that have independently implemented innovations, or have implemented innovations jointly with third-party companies, or using outsourcing services. The highest level of direct connection was found between the growth of turnover of enterprises that launched a new product for the market and the growth of the number of enterprises that implemented innovations with the involvement of organizations (correlation 0.273). Based on the regression analysis it was found that with a 1% change in the growth rate of the number of innovation-active enterprises, the growth rate of turnover from new or improved products increased by 5.67%. At the same time, with a 1% change in the growth rate of the number of enterprises that implement innovation through outsourcing, the growth rate of turnover from new or improved products will increase by 7.15%.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency and productivity of technological innovation activities of companies certified as innovative pharmaceutical companies by the government to diagnose their competitiveness and derive measures to strengthen them. This study collected pharmaceutical input (R&D expenditures and number of employees) and output (sale, operating profit and patent) data between 2017 and 2019 for 38 innovative pharmaceutical companies. This study analyzed them using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) method, Tobit model and the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI). First, the DEA result of the innovative pharmaceutical companies show that between the value of the CCR model of the scale efficiency and the value of the BCC model to diagnose the internal operation efficiency is differences. Second, efficiency does not differ between corporate characteristics. Third, Tobit model shows that number of patents held have positive effects on efficiency. Forth, overall MPI is 0.89. This can be interpreted as the rate of TECI decreased 3%p and TCI has increased 4%p. The results of this study can be used as decision-making data for response strategies to improve efficiency by identifying the cause of inefficiency and presenting target values.
Awe is recognized as an emotion linked to enhancing openness to new experiences and broadening one's cognitive perspective through the acquisition of new knowledge. This research aimed to investigate awe's impact on consumer behavior in advertising, using a 2 (emotion: awe/control) × 2 (product type: innovative/non-innovative) experimental design with 118 undergraduate students in Seoul, Korea. Findings revealed that awe-inducing advertising significantly increases product preference and positive technology readiness, particularly for innovative products compared to non-innovative ones or when awe is not elicited. The analysis of moderated mediation showed that positive technology readiness plays a mediating role in the relationship between awe induction and product preference. Notably, in the case of innovative products, awe-inducing advertising heightens positive technology readiness, subsequently increasing consumer preference for these products. These results reinforce existing literature on awe's positive effects, demonstrating its role in augmenting consumers' favorable attitudes toward innovative products. The study offers valuable insights for marketing strategies of companies promoting innovative products or services, highlighting the effectiveness of awe-inducing emotional appeals in shaping consumer attitudes towards innovation.

After the fourth industrial revolution, a business that utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expanding centered around IT industries and it is expected that the quality of AI services will improve. This study aims to examine changes in marketing through the advance and development of AI and to establish and apply marketing strategies to respond to future market changes. Based on existing data, the development of AI technology was examined and looked into changes in marketing and counter strategies through cases overseas and South Korea. Artificial Intelligence technology has a close impact on our lives, changing our lives, and thus changing consumer patterns, perceptions, and consumer culture. In the future, innovative changes in AI technologies will require government policies, the vision of the corporation, and it is necessary to establish longer-term success strategies. Collaboration between companies and industries is also important.

To achieve the age of 30,000 dollars GNP, The business with speed will hold a more crucial point than the business with scale, and the mass consumption market will be transformed and changed into the niche market. Moreover, it will not be easy for the company without the peculiar and creative technology to survive in the severe competition. Under these circumstances, The innovative company which knows how to use this new paradigm will select the better position in the changing market. Innovation type SMEs are contributing in maintaining the international competitiveness of domestic economy by serving high-tech and the promotion of employment. Also, Innovation type SMEs have the most important economic leverage in our domestic economy. It's a source of the growth in domestic economy. Therefore, A lot of countries have been trying to support innovation type SMEs (with a small capital and high-tech). And many countries also try to protect and promote the innovation type SMEs. Especially the Korean government is also promoting innovation type SMEs in many ways, because the future of innovation type SMEs are not bright. This study explored the three innovative SEMs and studied 1) entrepreneur characteristics, 2) the industry environment, 3) competitive strategies, and 4) resources and capabilities of organization, which have been considered as the success factors for entrepreneurial firms. This study also holds that the characteristics of entrepreneurs is one of the most important factor to impact the success of innovative SMEs. Most of entrepreneurs have started their business with high education career and field experiences and have high intentions in developing new/high techonologies, challenging spirits, and clear vision and goals. The innovative SMEs with small kinds of products and services, narrow market, and small resources are more sensitively impacted by the environment especially. But the SMEs which entered into market early could have the comparative excellencies in their market to survive and grow in the future. They also have competitive advantages in the market using differentiation strategies by technology innovation. Technology innovation and differention strategies are one of the success factors in SMEs, They entered into the niche market using this weapons. The capabilities of changing organization to their changing environment, the open orgarnization culture, the continuous employment education, and the building the organic organization are also success factors of innovative SMEs. The SMEs with the simple organization structure can make fast decisions and operate with the autonomous and flexible ways. These only three cases will not shown successful factors of over 12,000 Innovation type SMEs in Korea and this study of Innovation type SMEs is insufficient from all aspects. But this study have many implications for the future research and the entrepreneurs ready for their business.
