In this paper, we suggest energy technologies for a plan of future energy technology innovation. In order to evaluate and analyze of the technologies, we consider various methods such as AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), CVM (Contingent Valuation Method) and MAUT(Multi-Attribute Utility Theory). According to MAUT, we present between many attributes and priorities of innovation technologies.
The new characteristic of Millennial High-Tech Media is breaking the existing standardized creative grammar. The destructive form of high-tech media is differently accommodated according to the consumer's tendency or characteristics. The purpose of this study is to explore guidelines for effective creative strategy creation of high-tech media. In consumer psychology, consumer innovation is a key factor in evaluating the creativeness of high-tech media. The results of finding out the effect of persuasive communication on consumer innovation and advertising creative type are as follows. Informative(image) creative type showed higher attitude toward advertisement, brand attitude, purchase intention, and prior intention to consumers with high innovation than consumers with low innovation.
This paper aims to contribute to estimating the value of a patent by explaining the unobservable attributes of patent quality using observable patent citation indices. The paper first constructs patent citation data and identifies firm, university, and research institute among assignees, and then tries to explain attributes of patent quality using backward citation indices. Backward citation indices carrying information about technological sources which a given patent is based on turn out to be good predictors of forward citation indices carrying information about attributes of patent quality. Finding the functional relationships between attributes of patent quality and backward citations will lead to the improved estimation and prediction of patent value. It is found out that backward citation indices are strongly correlated the technological diversity of a patent. The paper also suggests that with whom an organization chooses to collaborate affects the attributes of patent quality.
As a form of reciprocity or exchange, gift giving is one of the processes that integrate a society. There has been a long history of research on gift giving behavior in the communication area. Recently with the advent of digital environment, digital contents gift giving behavior became a prevalent social custom. But there has been little research of an individual consumer's consumption behavior of digital contents gift giving. Drawing on the innovation theory, technology acceptance model, and gift giving literature, the author take a quantitative approach to the effect of innovation attributes on mobile coupon gift giving behavior. The result showed that innovation attribute did positive influence to mobile coupon gift giving behavior. Furthermore, consumer innovation attribute moderate in the relationship between product innovation and mobile gift giving attitude.
In this paper, factors affecting intra-organizational diffusion of Big Data systems from the perspective of the Big Data system vendors have been analyzed. In particular, the theory of resistance against innovation that exists in some form before the adoption or rejection of innovation has been focused on. In order to do that, the resistance has been divided into three categories : postponement, rejection and opposition. The variables affecting each type are also divided into four independent variables : perceived risk, innovation characteristics, user attributes, and organizational attributes. As a result of the survey, it was confirmed that the influences of each variable are different according to the type of resistance. As the strength of the resistance was increased, the influence of the trialability was increased as well. As the strength of the resistance was decreased, the satisfaction with the existing system became more influential on the resistance. The time risk and the satisfaction with the existing system were found to affect all types of resistance. From the vendor's point of view, strategic implications are presented in terms of marketing or system development for diffusion, depending on the degree of resistance of the adopter.

This study investigated the purchase intention of green fashion products based on Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation theory and compared the differences between Korean and British consumers. In order to identify the impact of personal characteristics, this study also examined the effects of fashion innovativeness and LOHAS tendency on perceived attributes of innovation and intention to purchase. With a convenience sampling method, a survey questionnaire was distributed at popular fashion streets in each country. A total of 426 data were obtained, 203 from the UK and 223 from Korea. About 52% were females, and 69% were in their twenties. A factor analysis generated two LOHAS factors (health concerns and eco concerns) and four attributes of green fashion products (image improvement, symbolic superiority, observability, and compatibility). Two types of green fashion products (organic cotton t-shirts and organic cotton t-shirts with an environmental message) were provided to measure the purchase intention, respectively. The findings were as follows. British consumers were more likely to show LOHAS tendency and to perceive positive advantages of green products compared to Koreans; in addition, British consumers presented higher mean scores on the purchase intentions of organic cotton products. Fashion innovativeness was significant to predict image improvement and symbolic superiority, while eco concerns were significant in compatibility for both nations. Compatibility was important for both countries in order to explain the intention to adopt two types of organic products. In addition, image improvement was another predictor for purchase intention of organic t-shirts with an environmental message. Managerial implications were provided.
Since technological innovation, adoption, and diffusion is a fundamental engine for a company's competitiveness and in turn a nation's industrial development, diffusion of technological innovation has been one of popular research themes to many researchers and scholars for decades. Especially, in today's knowledge-based economy, the IT technology became a fundamental infrastructure for a nation and thus their impact on a nation's economy has grown to be tremendous. This paper investigates the patterns of technological diffusion of 16 telecommunications services. Firstly, we identify the optimal diffusion model which represents the 15 IT innovation best in terms of goodness-of-fit. Secondly, based on the best model identified we cluster the 16 IT innovations according to their diffusion characteristics such as penetration rate and diffusion speed. Lastly, we categorize the innovations in terms of technology (voice-based innovation and data-based innovation) and demand (household-use and business-use) attributes, and compare their diffusion patterns and found some meaningful difference in diffusion patterns. We hope the result helpful to corporate managers as well as policy makers in relevant areas.
With an explosive growth of internet and a change of consumer's demand, Post PC is emerging as a substitute for the existing desktop computer and laptop computer. Post PC is a new computer which is portable with wireless networking, cheaper than the existing PCs and specialized in the specific function that consumers want. Furthermore, the shape and the ability of Post PC are dependent on its specific function. The rudimentary Post PCs such as PDA, web-pad and smart-phone are already usable. And in the future, owing to the progress of technologies, the heterogeneity of relate companies and the low entry barrier, various Post PCs will be developed. In this paper, we analyze consumers' willingness-to-pay for Post PC with the attributes such as the portability, the speed of CPU, the data input method (using key board, or notepad etc), the size of monitor and price. To estimating consumers' willingness-to-pay for the attributes of Post PC, we apply a contingent ranking method, which makes the respondents rank hypothetical Post the portability, the speed of CPU, the data input method (using key board, or notepad etc),the size of monitor and price. To estimating consumers' willingness-to-pay for the attributes of Post PC, we apply a contingent ranking method, which makes the respondents rank hypothetical Post PC alternatives featuring various combinations of attributes, to a survey data collected in Korea. Using the estimated willingness-to-pay, we predict the shape and the ability of future's Post PC and draw policy implications for the national and company level R&D strategies.
The entrepreneurial journey is not short of challenges, and about 90% + tech start-ups experience failure (Startup Genome, 2019). The magnitude of the challenges varies across the tech start-up lifecycle stages, namely emergence, stability, and growth. This opens the research question, do the profiles of a start-up and its co-founder impact start-up success or failure across its lifecycle stages? This study aims to understand and identify the profiles of tech start-ups and their co-founders. We gathered primary data from 151 start-ups (Status: 101 failed and 50 successful ones), and they are across different lifecycle stages and represent six major start-up hubs in India. The chi-square test on status and start-up's lifecycle stage indicates a noticeable correlation, and they are not independent. The Kruskal Wallis test was used to distinguish statistically significant profile attributes. The parameters distinguishing success and failure are identified, and the need to deliver customer experience is emphasized by the start-up profile attributes: Product/service, high-tech nature of a start-up, investor fund availed, co-founder experience, and employee count. The importance of entrepreneurial experience is ascertained with entrepreneur profile attributes: Entrepreneurial expertise, the number of prior and current start-ups, their willingness to start again in the event of failure, and age of co-founder, which is a proxy to learning and experience. This study has implications for entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers.
This study starts from the perspective that preparing students for employment is the most important role of undergraduate degree programs. Therefore, we examine the determinants of undergraduate employment, especially highlighting the differences by disciplines. We classify 28 factors into five categories such as personal attributes, entrance attributes, students’ employment-related activities, regular curriculum and employability programs provided by universities. This study is based on data from 7,616 students from a Korean university over four and half years. Findings reveal that university efforts are crucial in engineering. Only exchange programs and employment programs have an impact on science. There are no specific factors in humanities and social science. Grade point average and students’ efforts are important in business. Face-to-face coaching in employability support programs is effective for securing employment except in science disciplines. The study results do not point to the absence of a role of university even in the low employment disciplines. Rather, the issue is that of an over-supply of graduates exceeding job offers that results from the worldwide expansion of higher education services.
