강제와류 유수분리기의 걔발 (Development of a Forced-Vortex Oil-Water Separator)

  • A small scale centrifugal oil separator consisted of two concentric tubes was fabricated for spilt oil recovery. With speed control of the inner tube, its performance of oil separation was investigated. Oil-water mixture is separated by forced vortex motion with the rotating inner tube. Velocity and pressure distributions in the tubes were calculated. Control of rotating speed, which is the most influencing parameter, showed an optimum value 946rpm corresponding to the acceleration of 20g at the inner tube surface. Separation performance was suddenly deteriorated at rotating speed higher than 1200rpm.

산업용로 배기부에서의 열전달 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Heat Transfer Improvement in the Exhaust-Section of Industrial Furnace)

  • 산업용 노의 폐열 회수를 위하여 노의 배기부에 설치되는 복사형 레큐페레이터 중에서 가장 대표적인 형태인 이중 원관식 레큐페레이터의 열전달 특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 내관에는 고온의 배기가스가 흐르고, 내관과 외관 사이의 환상공간에서는 공기가 흐르며 외관의 외벽면은 단열되어 있는 원관 식 레큐퍼레이터의 열전달특성을 규명하였다. 고온의 배기가스 폐열은 내관의 내벽으로 전달되고 이는 다시 환산 공간내의 공기로 전달된다. 배기가스의 복사 열전달은 구 조화 근사법을 사용하여 모델링한 후 이를 유동장과 연계하여 수치적으로 해석하였으며, 기존의 실험적연구와 일치하는 조건에서의 계산결과와 비교하였다. 또한, 내관의 동심축 상에 원동통형의 재복사기를 설치할 경우 내관에서 재복사 효과가 일어나는데 이에 따른 열전달 특성을 연구하여 레큐퍼레이터를 이론적으로 해석할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

Axial behavior of square CFST encased seawater sea-sand concrete filled PVC/GFRP tube columns

  • In order to directly apply seawater and sea sand in construction without desalination, a type of square concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) encased with prefabricated seawater sea-sand concrete filled Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)/Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) tube column was proposed. Twenty short columns were tested under uniaxial loads, and the test parameters included inner tube types, seawater sea-sand concrete replacement ratios, concrete strength, the wrapping area of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strips and the thickness of GFRP tube. The effects of the parameters on failure modes, loading capacity, ductility and strain responses were discussed. All the tested specimens failed with serious buckling of the steel tubes and fracture of the inner tubes. The specimens had good residual bearing capacity corresponding to 64% to 88.9% of the peak capacity. The inner GFRP tubes and PVC tubes wrapped by CFRP strips provided stronger confinement to the core concrete, and were good choices for the proposed columns. Moreover, an analytical model for the composite column with different inner tube types was proposed.

알루미늄/GFRP 혼성 사각튜브의 정적 압축 붕괴 및 에너지 흡수 특성 (Axial crush and energy absorption characteristics of Aluminum/GERP hybrid square tube)

  • For the axial crushing tests of various shape of tubes, it was reported that composite tubes need trigger mechanism to avoid brittle failure. In this study, static axial crush tests were performed with the new aluminum/GFRP hybrid tubes. Glass/Epoxy prepregs were wrapped around aluminum tube and co-cured. The failure of hybrid tube was stable and progressive without trigger mechanism, and specific energy absorption was increased to maximum 34% in comparison with aluminum tube. Effective energy absorption is possible for inner aluminum tube because wrapped composite tube constrain the deflection of aluminum tube and reduce the folding length. The failure of hybrid composite tube was stable without trigger mechanism because inner aluminum tube could play the role of crack initiator and controller. Aluminum/Glass-Epoxy hybrid tube is suitable for the vehicle front structure due to effective energy absorption capability, easy production, and simple application for RTM process.

대향류형 보텍스 튜브의 노즐형상 변화011 따른 튜브 내부의 온도분포에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Temperature Distribution in Internal Space of a Tube for the Formal Change of Counterflow Type Vortex Tube)

  • The aim of this study is to provide fundamental informations that make it possible to use a cool stream and a hot stream simultaneously. We changed the pressure of compressed air that flows into a tube, the inner diameter of orifice that a cold stream exits, and the mass flow rate ratio. And in each case, we measured the temperature of a cold stream and a hot stream in each exit of a tube. Also we measured the axial and the radial temperature distribution in internal spare of a tube. From the study, fellowing conclusive remarks 7an be made. First, As the number of nozzles increase, separation point move into the hot exit. Second, When we use guide vane type nozzle, the axial temperature distribution constant over the 0.75 of air mass flow rate radio. Third, When we use Spiral type nozzle, axial and radial temperature distribution in the inner space is higher than another nozzle. Fourth, Axial and radial temperature distribution in the inner space vortex-tube is determined by separation point. And separation point is moved by changing of air mass flow rate ratio. At last, A heating apparatus is possible far vortex-tube to use.

이중튜브의 액압 성형특성 연구 (Hydroforming Characteristics of Double Layered Tube)

  • Double layered tube is assembled with an inner tube and an outer tube, similar in material or not, contacting closely and deforming simultaneously when subjected to external force. For the manufacturing of double layered tube, the hydroforming assembly technology has several advantages. Therefore in this study, hydroforming characteristics of double layered tube was investigated. The free bulge test was performed to produce formability diagrams of double layered tubes at various forming pressure and feeding amounts. The hexagonal shape hydroforming test was also performed to estimate the dimensional accuracies of double layered tube through the corner filling ratio and the gap between inner and outer tube. Besides experimental analyses, the analytical model that can predict internal pressure for the hydroforming of double-layered tube was proposed and experimentally validated.

  • To investigate the effect of an inner diameter of the extension tube on the self-ignition when high pressurized hydrogen abruptly released through a tube, both experimental and numerical approach are used. The result show that there is a possibility to have successful ignition when the tube diameter is decreased even at the pressure that could not give sustainable flame with a larger diameter tube. Numerical simulation show the flame development inside the tube and weak and stretch flame spout the tube for 10.9 mm tube, whereas strong complete flame has been generated for 3 mm tube.

강관의 내면비드 제거 깊이가 하이드로포밍 성형성에 미치는 영향도 분석 (The effects of the grinding depth of the inner bead on the steel tube hydroformability)

  • In the roll forming, a flat strip is progressively deformed by feeding it through a series of rotating rolls. There are various layouts for the tube toll-forming stages. The process sequences are as follows: leveling, roll-forming, welding, bead removing, seam annealing, cooling, sizing and cutting. Electric resistance welded(ERW) tubes have been widely used for the machinery parts, especially for hydroformed automotive parts. However conventional ERW tubes do not have a high formability because of hardening of welded portion by rapid cooling. Moreover the decrease in thickness of the welded portion during the grinding of the inner and outer bead may reduce the formability of the tube. In case of applying the tubular parts without grinding the bead, the flow of the fluid can be prevented due to the turbulent flow induced by the inner bead. In attempt to determine the optimal bead grinding amount in the roll forming process, in the present paper, the effects of the removal depth and width of the inner beads on the hydroformability are analyzed by the finite element simulation.

수평미세관의 직경이 R-22 및 R-407C 비등열전달에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Boiling Bleat Transfer of Horizontal Micro-channel Diameters for R-22 and R-407C)

  • Boiling heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops for R-22 and R-407C were measured in horizontal micro-channels. The test section is stainless steel tube, inner tube diameters are 1.8mm and 2.8mm, and the respective lengths are 1500mm and 3000mm. The range of mass flux is 300-600kg/$m^2$s and heat flux is 5-15kW/$m^2$. In this results, pressure drop increased linearly for both R-22 and R-407C with increased mass flux, but the increase of heat flux did not affect the pressure. In addition, the pressure drop was fairly increased in the high quality region rather than low quality region. In the range of low quality, the mass flux had a small affect on the heat transfer coefficients, however, in high quality region, the heat transfer coefficients increased even more with increasing mass flux. Under the low quality region and low mass flux, the heat transfer coefficients increased with increasing heat flux densities. The effects of inner tube diameter were clearly observed. Namely, the measured pressure drop inside inner tube diameter 1.8 mm is higher than 2.8 mm with increasing the mass flux and heat flux. Also, the measured local heat transfer coefficient inside inner tube diameter 1.8 mm is higher than 2.8 mm in the range of high qualities. The experimental data for R-407C compared with proposed correlation using pure refrigerant. The experimental data for R-407C was more decreased than the proposed correlation for pure refrigerant up to 50% or more.
