중학생의 행동억제기질과 사회불안의 관계에서 정서표현 양가성의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness in the Relationship between Behavioral Inhibition and Social Anxiety among Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 행동억제기질과 정서표현 양가성 그리고 사회불안의 관계를 살펴보고, 행동억제기질과 사회불안의 관계에서 정서표현 양가성이 매개하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 5개 도시(원주, 서울, 수원, 순천, 광주)에 소재하는 6개 중학교 1~3학년 학생 370명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 19.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, 상관분석, 회귀분석, sobel test를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 행동억제기질과 사회불안, 정서표현 양가성 모두는 서로 정적인 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 행동억제기질과 대인불안, 행동억제기질과 수행불안의 관계에서 정서표현 양가성이 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 행동억제기질이 대인불안과 수행불안에 직접적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만 행동억제기질이 정서표현 양가성 수준을 증가시켜 대인불안과 수행불안이 높아진다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 타고난 행동억제기질로 인해 사회불안을 호소하는 중학생을 상담할 때 정서표현 양가성 수준을 낮춰줌으로써 사회불안을 감소시킬 수 있도록 도와줄 수 있음을 시사한다.

견관절 충돌증후군 환자에 대한 삼각근 억제 테이핑이 견부 통증과 기능수행 수준, 근력, 관절가동범위에 미치는 즉각적 영향 (The Initial Effect of Deltoid Inhibition Taping on Shoulder Pain, Function, Strength Level and Range of Motion in Patients With Shoulder Impingement Syndrome)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine the initial effects of deltoid inhibition taping to Pain, Function, Strength, ROM in shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS). Methods : This study is 28 patients(male 16, female 12) with shoulder impingement syndrome(SIS).The experimental group received deltoid inhibition taping and the control group had sham taping. Outcome variables measured degree of pain, disability, strength, and range of motion at pre-post intervention. The changes between pre-post interventions are analyzed by a repeated measure ANOVA test. Results : Pain and disability index significantly decreased (p<.05), and the rate of change in pain and disability level of the experimental group increased significantly more than control group (p<.05). Strength and range of motion significantly increased (p<.05), but the rate of change of the two groups showed no significant difference (p>.05). Conclusion : These results suggest that deltoid inhibition taping was initial effective in decreasing pain and disability in SIS patients.

산채 및 해조분말을 첨가한 우리밀 밀가루 열수출물의 항돌연변이성 및 암세포 성장 억제효과 (Antimutagenicity and Cytotoxicity Effects of Woorimil Wheat Flour Extracts Added with Wild Herb and Seaweed Powder)

  • The antimutagenic and cancer cell growth inhibitory effects of woorimil contained herb and seaweed powders were examined. While woorimil itself showed only 40% antimutagenic effect on S. typhymurium TA98 against 4NQO(0.15 g/plate), water extracts of mountain herbs and seweeds including Comfrey, wormwood, Kale, Angelica utilis and pine leaves showed 80~90% antimutagenicity. On the other hand, these extracts along with woorimil showed 68 to 80% antimutagenic activities. Low antimutagenic activities of less than 50% were shown when these extracts were tested on TA98 against Trp P 1(0.5 g/plate), but high antimutagenic activities of 80~93.3% were shown on TA100. Water extracts of Capsella bursa pastoris and Allium grayi exhibited 60~80% of the activites in cytotoxicity tests of woorimil water extracts(0.5mg/ml) on human lung carcinoma cell. A549 showed 10% cell growth inhibitory effect. When mixed with Comfrey and Angelica utilis extracts, it showed 23~25% inhibition and other extracts showed only 12~23% inhibition. Cytotoxicity test of woorimil extracts on human liver cancer cell Hep3B revealed 20% inhibition. The additions of pine needle extracts, Angelica utilis and Comfrey showed 33%, 29% and 25% inhibition, respectively. But other extracts showed only 20% inhibition.

기니픽 갑상선에서 Thyrotropin에 의한 thyroxine 유리에 대한 muscarinic 수용체 자극효과 (Effects of muscarinic receptor stimulation on the thyrotropin-induced thyroxine release in the guinea pig thyroid)

  • The present experiments were performed to examine the effects of acetylcholine (ACh) and carbachol (CC) on thyroxine ($T_4$) release and any possible relation between inhibition of $T_4$ release and signaling pathway in guinea pig thyroids. The thyroids were incubated in the medium containing the test agents, samples of the medium were assayed for $T_4$ by EIA kits. ACh and CC inhibited the TSH-stimulated $T_4$ release. These inhibition were reversed by atropine, but not by d-tubocurarine. The inhibitory effects of ACh on $T_4$ release were prevented by $M_{1^-}$ and $M_{3^-}$muscarinic antagonists and its inhibition was also slightly reversed by $M_{2^-}$ and $M_{4^-}$muscarinic antagonists. R59022, like ACh and CC, also inhibited the TSH-stimulated $T_4$ release. This inhibition was reversed by protein kinase C inhibitor and $Ca^{2+}$ channel blocker. The present study suggests that cholinergic inhibition of $T_4$ release from thyroids can be induced mainly by activation of the $M_{1^-}$ or $M_{3^-}$ receptors and that it is mediated through the muscarinic receptorstimulated protein kinase C activation.

단클론항체를 이용한 폐흡충증의 면역진단 (Serodiagnosis of human paragonimiasis by ELISA-inhibition test using monoclonal antibodies)

  • 폐흡충증의 진단을 위하여 근자에 효소면역측정 법(ELISA)이 널리 쓰이고 있다. 이 논문에서는 폐흡충 항원에 대한 단클론항체를 제조하고 이를 효소면역억제측정 법 (ELISA-Inhlbltlon test)에 응용하여 효소면역측정 법의 특이도를 더욱 높이고자 하였다. 폐흠충 성충의 수용성 항원으로 면역한 BALB/c 마우스의 비장세포와 형질세포종세포를 융합하여 림프잡종세포를 만들고 이 중에서 폐흡충 항원에 대한 특이 단클론항체를 생성하는 하나의 림프잡종세포를 선택하였다. 이는 Pwa-14라고 이름지워졌는데, EITB상 28 kDa, 42.5 kDa, 89 kDa, 120.5 kDa 항원대에 반응하였으며, 간접 면역항체법으로 반응하는 항원의 위치가 난황선임을 확인하였다. 폐흡충 항원을 사용한 통상적인 효소면역측정법에 폐흡충 감염자 22명의 혈청은 모두 양성 반응을 보였으며, 간흡충 감염자 40명 중 5명(12.5%), 유구낭충 감염자 26명 중 3명(7.7%)은 양성을 나타내 교차 반응을 보였다. 이 때, 스파르가눔 감염자 10명 및 정상 대조군에서는 양성 반응을 보이는 혈청이 없었다. 특이 단세포군항체를 이용한 효소면역 억제측정법으로 측정한 결과, 폐흡충 감염자는 모두 양성반응을 보였으나, 유구낭충, 스파르가눔 감염자의 혈청은 교차 반응을 보이지 않았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 폐흡 충의 면역 진단 시, 폐흠충 특이 단클론항체를 이용한 효소면역 억제측정 법은 통상적인 효소면역측 정법에 비하여 더 높은 특이도를 보임을 알 수 있었다.

Brining Property and Antimutagenic Effects of Organic Chinese Cabbage Kimchi

  • Brining property and antimutagenic effects of organically cultivaged Chinese cabbage kimchi (OC kimchi) and common Chinese cabbage imchi (CC kimchi) were studied. The salt absorption rate of leaves was faster than that of stems of the Chinese cabbages. Due to the large portion of leaf in organic Chinese cabbage, organic Chinese cabbage(OC) was much faster in terms of salt absorption rate than common Chinese cabbage(CC). The antimutagenic effects of methanol extracts of CC kimchi and OC kimchi were studied against aflatoxin B1(AFB1) using Ames test on Samonella typhimurium TA 100 and N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) using SOS chromotest. Methanol extract from 6 -day fermented OC kimchi at 15 $^{\circ}C$ showed 80% inhibition rate against the indirect mutage, aflatoxin B1 induced mutagenicit where as that from 6-day fermented CC kimchi at 15 $^{\circ}C$ showed 54% inhibition rate in the Ames test. Methanol extracts from 6-day fermented CC kimchi and OC kimchi showed 27 % and 58 % inhibition rate against direct mutagen , N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine induced mutagenicity, respectively in SOS chormotest, thus OC kimchi exhibited higher antimutagenic activity than kimchi.

Free Radical Scavenging Activity and Inhibition of Linoleic Acid Peroxidation of Commercial Tocotrienol Fraction

  • Tocotrienols (T3) are minor plant constituents found abundantly in rice bran, which provide a significant source of vitamin E in animal feeds. T3 was reported to have an intrinsic hypocholesterolemic effect by inhibiting HMG-Co A reductase. It has similar antioxidative properties as tocopherols in food and biological system due to their similar chemical structures. However, the antioxidant activity and mechanism of T3 to scavenge free radicals and to inhibit the peroxidation of linoleic acid are less understood. The purpose of this study was to investigate the scavenging effect of T3 on free radicals and its inhibition of peroxide formation. Free radical scavenging activity was monitored by the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method whereas inhibition of linoleic acid peroxidation was evaluated using the thiocyanate method. Thiobarbituric acid (TBA) test was used to determine malonaldehyde formation from linoleic acid peroxidation. Free radical scavenging activity increased with increasing concentration levels of T3. T3 exhibited 38.2, 78.6, 92.7 and 96.2% radical scavenging activity at concentrations of 2, 8, 32 and 128 ppm, respectively. At 128 ppm, it was highly effective in inhibiting linoleic acid peroxidation. The activity of T3 evaluated by the thiocyanate method showed low absorbance values indicating a high level of antioxidant activity. All treatments showed similar trends in antioxidant activity when evaluated by both the thiocyanate method and TBA test.

Effect of Chronic Inhibition of Nitric Oxide on Blood Pressure and Apoptosis in the Blood Pressure-Associated with Organs

  • Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were orally administered with $N^G$-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(L-NAME) which inhibits or blocks the production of nitric oxide from L-arginine in vascular endothelial cells and vessel tissue to statistically examine the effects of nitric oxide on some physiological changes such as blood pressure and heart rate, and to confirm the apoptosis induced by the suppressed nitric oxide activity in some related organs under light microscope. Systolic blood pressure significantly increased 28.5% by the chronic treatment of L-NAME for 8 weeks (P<0.001), no significant difference, however, was observed in heart rate between the control group and the L-NAME-treated group regardless of their age. Hematoxylin-eosin staining showed some histological alterations only in kidney among the examined organs; heart, liver, pancreas, and adrenal gland from the L-NAME-treated group. TUNEL (terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling) test showed a strong positive reaction, representing that the chronic treatment of L-NAME facilitates apoptosis, in the cortex and medulla of kidney, but not any significance detectable in the other organs. These results conclude that chronic treatment of L-NAME significantly increases blood pressure, and that the followed inhibition of nitric oxide synthesis occurs a typical inducement of apoptosis in kidney.

A Study on the Corrosion Inhibition Effects of Sodium Heptanoate for Carbon Steel in Aqueous Solution

  • The carboxylates as a corrosion inhibitor has been studied by many researchers because of its environmental safety and low depletion rate. However, conventional test methods of inhibitor such as weight loss measurements, linear polarization resistance and corrosion potential monitoring etc., evaluate uniform corrosion of metals. These methods are unable to evaluate crevice-related corrosions, which are encountered in most of heat exchanging facilities. In order to choose the optimum corrosion inhibitor, the appropriate test methods are required to evaluate their performances in service environment. From this point of view, polarization technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of sodium heptanoate on corrosion behavior for carbon steel. Especially a thin film crevice sensor technique were applied to simulate the crevice corrosion in this study. From these experiments, we found that oxygen as an oxidizing agent was required to obtain stable passive film on the metal. Presence of oxygen, however, accelerated crevice corrosion. Potential shift by oxygen depletion and weakened inhibitive film inside the crevice were responsible for such accelerated feature. It is shown that film for corrosion inhibition is a mixture of sodium heptanoate and iron (II) heptanoate as reaction product of iron surface and sodium heptanoate. The iron (II) heptanoate which has been synthesized by reaction of heptanoic acid and ferrous chloride in methanol solution forms bidentate complex.

In vitro 실험법에 의한 천연물 중의 UVB 광독성 억제제 검색 (In vitro Screening of Natural Product Inhibitors on the UVB Phototoxicity)

  • 소염효과를 나타내는 생약 15종을 선별하여 이들 생약 추출물이 Chloropromazine에 의한 UVB 광독성에 미치는 영향을 in vitro 실험법 중 Candida albicans test, RBC photohemolysis, MTT assay에 의한 cytotoxicity 측정법의 방법을 이용하여 조사하였다. Candidal albicans teat에 의해 광독성의 광량 및 화학물질 의존성을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 광독성 억제 효과를 검색하기에 적당한 UVB조사량 및 CPZ농도는 2.1 J/$\textrm{cm}^2$, 0.6mg인 것으로 생각되었다. Candida albicans test에 의해 CPZ에 의한 UVB 광독성에는 P. persica, E. officinalis가 억제효과를 보임을 알 수 있었으며, RBC photohemolysis 결과 모든 생약시료들에 대해 hemolysis가 감소되었으며, 특히, Yeast, P. suffruticosa에 의한 % hemolysis는 34.42$\pm$1.01, 35.30$\pm$4.7로 유의성 있는 억제효과를 나타냄을 관찰할 수 있었다. MTT assay에 의한 cytotoxicity 측정 결과, UVB 조사에 이하여 세포생존율은 감소되었고, 시료처리시 세포생존율은 증가됨을 관찰할 수 있었다.
