분산 이형 환경에서 대용량의 정보를 검색하는 새로운 패러다임으로 이동 에이전트가 주목받고 있다. 검색을 수행하기 위해 많은 양의 데이터를 전송하는 대신 검색을 수행하는 에이전트를 검색을 수행할 서버로 직접 전달하는 방식을 이용하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 분산 이형 환경에 독립적으로 존재하는 정보를 효율적으로 검색할 수 있는 이동 에이전트 기반의 정보 검색 모델을 제시하고 질의응답(Q&A)을 검색하는 시스템을 다지인하고 구현한다. 제안된 모델인 이동 에이전트 기반의 질의응답 검색 시스템(QASSMA : Q&A Search System using Mobile Agents)은 이형 분산의 환경에 존재하는 질의응답 게시판 및 뉴스그룹을 검색할 수 있는 모델이다. QASSMA의 특징을 요약하면, 우선, 최적의 검색 위치로 검색 코드 자체가 이동하여 검색을 수행하므로 기존의 정적인 검색 로봇에 비하여 고정된 네트워크 거리를 극복할 수 있고 단축된 원격 서버와의 네트워크 거리만큼 검색시간을 단축시킬 수 있다. 또한 출발서버에서 검색할 위치로 검색코드가 이동하여 실행되므로 중앙 집중적인 네트워크 트래픽 형성을 막고 출발서버의 부담을 줄일 수 있다. 마지막으로, QASSMA의 이동 검색 에이전트는 검색 환경에 맞는 클래스를 능동적으로 탑재하여 효율적으로 검색 환경의 변화에 대처할 수 있고 다양한 검색 방법을 지원할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 실험을 통해 제안된 이동 에이전트 기반의 질의응답 시스템의 검색 방법이 기존의 정적인 검색 방법에 비해 효율적임을 보인다.

To improve the reusability and interoperability of GIS components, we propose the registration/retrieval agents, which can search the locating of users' frequently used components in not only the GIS domain but also other spatial information technologies such as GPS, ITS, RS and FM. The registration/retrieval agents increase the reusability through the GIS component based development under distributed GIS components environment and enables the rapid setting of application on the web. Moreover, users can understand easily the information of GIS component and have the effective investment, timeliness and reliability while they have less maintenance effort by agent. In order to design and implement this system on web, HTML and ASP (Active Serve Page), and JAVA were used. In addition, the performance of this system was verified through comparing others, which are similar to.

본 논문에서는 분산 환경에서 이미지 정보를 수집하고 검색하기 위해 다중스레드를 사용한 이미지 검색 에이전트를 구현하였다 본 논문에서 제안한 이미지 검색 에이전트는 정보의 효과적인 검색을 위해 다중스레드를 사용함으로써 처리기의 이용률을 높일 수 있었고 웹상의 정보를 전달받는데 소요되는 대기시간과 처리 시간을 줄일 수 있었다. 이미지 검색을 위한 에이전트는 플랫폼에 독립적인 자바 언어를 사용하여 분산환경에 적합하도록 하였고, 검색한 이미지 저장을 위해 JDBC를 사용하여 데이터베이스에 연결하였다. 또한 이미지 자체는 분산된 에이전트의 데이터베이스에 저장하고 이미지의 인덱스만 인덱스 서버에 저장함으로써 검색 시간을 줄일 수 있었다.

Current database technique offers the possibility to store giant amounts of data, worldwide networks provide the technical base for everybody to access it. However, it is usually very time-consuming or even impossible to find the most relevant information. This article describes the usage of mobile soft-ware agents to query different databases on the Internet, to rate and compress the results and to present them to the user in a consistent form, It contains a general definition of soft-ware agents, a detailed description of the approach and a discussion of its main advantages and weaknesses.

The dynamic nature of the World Wide Web challenges Information Retrieval System to find information relevant and recent. Intelligent agents can complement the power of search engines to deal with this challenge. In this paper, we explain in manner of building Information Retrieval System based on intelligent agent technology. We present a tool called Websearcher. It was performed in Java environment. The object-oriented nature of Java and built-in facilities for multi-thread decreased our implementation effort. A modular software design makes it easy to configure the system for various experiments.

As Information society evolves, there is a growing need that substitutes agents for users to do the given Jobs in distributed computing environments. Agents can retrieve and browse the diverse information via Internet, as the users request, and can deal with the complicated routine jobs on behalf of users with timeliness and efficiency. Especially, mobile agent can support the paradigm for distributed application programs in Internet environments. This is suitable to jump-to-jump model without any hesitations because agent moves. Agents can be applied to various applications, but we restrict it to market information retrieval in this paper. On recognizing a query about merchandise information by an user, agent by itself retrieves the corresponding information by navigating the Internet and informs the result to the user. In this paper, we review the mobile agent configuration to do this kind of work, propose the system architecture based on this review. By using this system, users can be free from complicated routine jobs and pursue his/her wishes to promote ones welfare.

상품검색은 고객들이 전자상거래의 접촉을 시작하는 인터페이스로서 매우 중요한 프로세스이다. 또한 전자상거래는 고객들에게 검색 시 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 프로세스를 제공하여야 한다. 특히 World Wide Web에서 상품정보는 광범위한 고객들이 신속하게 팽창하는 정보를 추적하기 위해서 통합과 표준화가 이뤄져야 한다. 상품 카탈로그(catalogue)에 대한 국제 표준화가 다양한 분야와 업종에서 구축되어져 왔는데, 요즈음은 UNSPSC((Universal Standard Products and Services Classification) 코드로의 수렴에 대한 논의가 활발해지고 있다. 이 표준을 채택하여 이 논문은 다국어상품검색 에이전트의 아키텍쳐(architecture)를 설계한다. 이 아키텍쳐는 중앙등록기 모델의 상품 카탈로그 관리를 기반으로 하여 분산처리의 update프로세스를 채택한다. 또한 이 아키텍쳐는 구매자 관점과 공급자 관점을 모두 고려한다. 상품정보의 일관성과 버전 관리는 UNSPSC코드 시스템에 의하여 제어된다. 고객이 사용하기 편리하도록 표준화에 포함되어져 있지 않은 상품명과 다국어 상품명은 Semantic Network, 시소러스(thesaurus)와 Semantic Web의 상품명 온톨로지 등을 활용하여 해결한다. 이를 위한 알고리즘들을 설계하고 또한 구현한다.

오늘날 인터넷이 보편화되면서 정보 검색 및 뉴스 검색들이 일반화되고 있지만 엄청난 정보의 양과 다양성 등으로 인해 사용자들은 오히려 정보 검색의 어려움을 호소하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 사용자 편의의 뉴스 검색과 사용자의 요구와 취향이 반영될 수 있도록 BPN(Back Propagation Neural Network)의 학습 기능을 가진 지능형 에이전트를 이용하여 뉴스 기사를 필터링하는 뉴스 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 여러 신문사의 기사를 수집 및 통합하여 그 날의 주요 기사들을 데이터베이스에 저장하는 수집 에이전트, 사용자가 입력한 키워드를 이용하여 BPN 기법으로 학습시키는 학습 에이전트 등으로 구성되어 있다. 또한 정보 통신 기술의 눈부신 발달로 무선 인터넷이 급속히 보급되는 현실을 감안하여 무선으로도 이러한 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 시스템을 구성하였다.

The user-centric broadcasting environment includes the agent system and personalized broadcasting services for user-adaptive TV watching. In this paper, we propose broadcasting environment consisting of personalized broadcasting services and a multi-agent broadcasting system for the services. The proposed system employs the intelligent agent technology of the Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA) as well as metadata technology of MPEG-7 and TV-Anytime Forum (TVAF). To verify the usefulness of the proposed environment, we implemented a test-bed and demonstrated the proposed agent system with three services including intelligent user-information management service, information mobility service, and content retrieval service.

본 논문은 대용량의 데이터베이스 내에서 유용한 정보를 검색하기 위해 웹 기반하에 적응형 정보추출 에이전트 모듈 설계이다. 인터넷을 통한 정보 검색이 일반화됨에 따라 검색시간의 최소화를 기하면서 사용자의 요구조건에 맞는 유용한 정보 제공이 필요하다. 구축되는 지식베이스 시스템의 스키마 구성요소의 도메인이 이진 검색이 가능한 필드 도메인이 있는 가하면 그렇지 않은 불확실한 도메인도 존재한다. 최초의 대용량 지식베이스에서 사용자의 자연어 질의어에 대해 러프셋의 리턱트롤 통해 최소지식베이스를 생성한 후, 축소된 스키마의 도메인의 불확실성찬 값에 대한 연산을 처리는 퍼지합성 연산처리 모듈에 의해 소프팅 컴퓨팅이 수행토록 설계하였다.
