This is the story of a bell-tower and its monitoring. The Civic Tower in Portogruaro is a 59 m high masonry bell-tower, originally built in the XIII century, today leaning more than a meter out of plumb. Since 2003, the building inclination has been continuously monitored with an optical inclinometer in an effort to see whether the tilt is still in progress. When the monitoring started, it was thought highly unlikely that the Tower would tilt further. After three years of monitoring and historical investigation, this idea was completely overturned. We show here how the initial view developed to a final awareness via a probabilistic analysis of the information acquired, based on Bayesian logic. We illustrate how the joint use of instrumental monitoring and historical documentation allowed timely recognition of signs of ongoing tilting and accurate calculation not only of the mean inclination trend, but also the credibility of this information.

In this paper, we purpose requirement capturing for RSS reader that be able to aggregate and subscribe to a RSS format document and describing for analysis model. We execute requirement analysis and documentation by using analysis model which is adopted use case model. And the method of requirement analysis is based on Responsibility Driven Design. Analysis model that is not premised on special reader is able to use business model.

The goal of this study is to investigate and analyse the formative process of the Korean information resources, Korean society, and bibliography and those contents with reference to Korean in Russia. The Research proper time is 1900-1937. Documents analysis, and direct observation and interviews were used as research methods. This paper consists of as follows' developing and taking form Korean society, information resources, and Diaspora, and the form of publication and subject, collection, the period of Korean information resources and those contents, and a conclusion and suggestion.

Electronic data interchange (EDI) is a new technology of information communication which can make offices paperless. This study develop an EDI system to communicate informations among companies using computer systems. The system consists of five modules-document I/O, translation, system management, communication, and additional modules. The database of EDI documentation standards has been constructed by the table-driven method. The communication module provides three communication modes-RS232C, MODEM, and message handling system (MHS). The system performance has been improved by the method of data compression and data encryption which prevent the communication delay and illegal users. This EDI system can be used as a front-end, back-end, or stand-alone mode.

In recent years, use of the web technologies and on-line process has immensely swapped single-user platform practice. This study attempted to develop preliminary cost estimating program by means of Web technologies based on statistical modeling results. A prototype Web-based Preliminary Item-Level Cost Estimating System (WBPILCES) using open source software was developed as an on-line estimating tool in this research. The primary objective is to study the possible flexibility of implementing a centralized information system that will be maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) IT division. The full-scale deployment of proposed information architecture is expected to seamlessly integrate with legacy database system currently used by TxDOT so as to streamline data storage, cost growth tracking and estimates documentation.

Purpose - This paper's aim is to analyze the technological information in patent databanks as a strategy in prospecting for new technologies. Research design, data, and methodology - We detail the major free electronic database sources for patent information, the patent documents, the patent document structures, INID codes (Internationally Agreed Numbers for the Identification of Data), indexation, references, and classification notions. Additionally, we review and analyze information on the activities of the Center of Dissemination Documentation and Technological Information (CEDIN) from the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI) of Brazil for the period 2000 to 2011. Results - The research shows that the technological information contained in the patents could provide a wide range of functionality within companies and universities. Conclusions - In recent years, (CEDIN), a specialist in intellectual property, has been serving internal and external users by providing guidance on the basis of patents and other literature, but the number of users served is still small. In order to familiarize more potential users of such technological information, task forces should be created among INPI, universities, and companies.

The article discusses the use of the concept of digitalization in the science of education. The influence of information technologies on the ability to self-study is analyzed. Various technologies that are used in science and education are shown. The issues of the advantages of using IT as a tool for creating conditions for the implementation of the problem-activity approach and the organization of project activities are considered. The possibilities are shown, which gives the opportunities that the use of ICT of distance educational resources in the educational process gives. Shown is their auxiliary form of transmission, information retrieval; working out skills and consolidating what has been learned. Based on the analysis of the presented material of the article, you can see what problems can be solved using IT and remote resources.

With research data generation on the rise, Institutional Repositories (IR) are one of the tools to manage it. However, the variety of data practices across institutions, domains, communities, etc., often requires dedicated studies in order to identify the research data management (RDM) require- ments and mapping them to IR features to support them. In this study, we investigated the data practices for a few national universities in North Macedonia, including 110 participants from different departments. The methodology we adopted to this end enabled us to derive some of the key RDM requirements for a variety of data-related activities. Finally, we mapped these requirements to 6 features that our participants asked for in an IR solution: (1) create (meta)data and documentation, (2) distribute, share, and promote data, (3) provide access control, (4) store, (5) backup, and (6) archive. This list of IR features could prove useful for any university that has not yet established an IR solution.

In order to develop the indicators which evaluate the management effectiveness for the protected forest areas in Korea, candidate indicators were listed based on literature and experts interviews, then questionnaire survey on the experts were conducted. 5 elements of context, planning, input, process, output and outcome and 32 indicators were selected. Context element includes 6 indicators of 1) documentation and assessment of values; 2) documentation and assessment of threats, 3) influence of government policy, 4) related regulations, 5) community cooperation and 6) the structure of management organization. 6 indicators of Planning element were 1) the management objective, 2) protected area design, 3) protected area size and number, 4) representation, 5) standards and categories and 6) management planning. Input element of 3 indicators were 1) management staff, 2) funding, 3) establishment and application of information. Process element were consisted of 1) governance, 2) management guidelines, 3) human resource management, 4) law enforcement, 5) eco-management, 6) disaster management, 7) education program and 8) research and monitoring. The element of outputs and outcomes were 1) accomplishment of plan, 2) accomplishment of program, 3) private land management, 4) threats change, 5) biodiversity change, 6) ecosystem health and vitality, 7) impact on community, 8) international management level and 9) visitors' satisfaction and variation in civil compliant. It is recommended to have further research on evaluation methods development by applying those above developed indicators for the protected forest areas to ensure the practicality of the indicators.

임베디드 시스템에서 임베디드 소프트웨어의 비중이 크게 확대됨에 따라 소프트웨어 재사용 자산에 대한 가치는 현저하게 증가하고 있다. 그러나 환경적 변화에 따른 유사한 특성을 지닌 임베디드 소프트웨어에 대한 반복적인 수요가 증가함에도 불구하고, 현재에는 임베디드 소프트웨어의 자산화를 위한 구체적인 지칭 제공이 전무하여 임베디드 소프트웨어를 단지 개발 과정에서 우연히 발생되는 임시방편적인 산출물로 인식하고 있어 조직 내 임베디드 소프트웨어의 생산은 항상 비용 소모적인 오류를 만들어 내고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 하드웨어에 의존적이며 외부 환경과 다양하게 상호협력 해야만 하는 임베디드 소프트웨어 자산들의 생성과 황용을 위해 문서화 관점에서 재사용 자산을 정의하고 분류하여 이들간의 상호 관계를 명확히 기술함으로써 임베디드 소프트웨어 재사용을 위한 표준 지칭을 제공하고자 한다.
