  • In this paper we implement the system for the forced answer model which is an indirect response technique on the internet as a way of obtaining much more precise information, not revealing secrets of responsors. In this system we consider that respondents are generally reluctant to answer in a survey to get sensitive information targeting employees, customers, etc.

  • This paper presents real examples of quality statistics for users to easily understand the concept and purpose for obtaining the degree of freedom. Moreover degree of freedom by Satterwaite can be used for linear combinations of unbiased variance. Finally effective degree of freedom by Welch-Satterthwaite is applicable to obtain expanded uncertainty considering type A and type B uncertainty.

  • For the effective use of information in the information society, information should be protected and outflow of information by illegal users should be prevented. This study sets up user authentication policy, user authentication regulations and procedures for information protection and builds information protection key distribution center and encryption user Authentication system, which can protect information from illegal users.

  • This study attempts to developing an organizational model for industrial information service a n.0, pplicable to industrial su n.0, pporting organization in every industrial sectors. An emphasis is placed on the discussion of the a n.0, ppreciation of industrial climate. Raw data is easily accessible, but industry requires judged, evaluated and assessed information. The case of Korea Federation of Textile Industries is used. The proposed industrial information service model consists of the following elements. Managerial information is frequently published, assessing information from a variety of sources and its implications on products development. Technical information is less frequently published, assessing from serials subscribing for industrial su n.0, pporting organization. Online information system could be adopted. Database such as statistics, personnel, industrial premises, exhibition, bibliographic are desirable.

  • The cumulants of the sample variance are obtained in terms of the population cumulants using ALMAP (Algebraic Manipulation Package) and these results extend those of Fisher who gave the first six cumulants of the sample variance.

  • With a wide recognition that financial time series typically exhibits asymmetry patterns in volatility so called leverage effects, various asymmetric GARCH(1, 1) processes have been introduced to investigate asymmetric volatilities. A lot of researches have also been directed to non-stationary volatilities to deal with frequent high ups and downs in financial time series. This article is concerned with both asymmetric and non-stationary GARCH-type models. As a subsequent paper of Choi et al. (2020), we review various asymmetric and non-stationary GARCH(1, 1) processes, and in turn propose how to compare competing models using a parametric bootstrap methodology. As an illustration, Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is analyzed.

  • Control charts are important tools of statistical quality control. In 1956, Duncan first proposed the economic design of $\bar{x}-control$ charts to control normal process means and insure that the economic design control chart actually has a lower cost, compared with a Shewhart control chart. An moving average (MA) control chart is more effective than a Shewhart control chart in detecting small process shifts and is considered by some to be simpler to implement than the CUSUM. An economic design of MA control chart has also been proposed in 2005. The weaknesses to only the economic design are poor statistics because it dose not consider type I or type II errors and average time to signal when selecting design parameters for control chart. This paper provides a construction of an economic-statistical model to determine the optimal parameters of an MA control chart to improve economic design. A numerical example is employed to demonstrate the model's working and its sensitivity analysis is also provided.
