This paper deals with text-prompt speaker recognition based on dynamic time warping (DTW). The Genetic Algorithm was applied to the creation of reference patterns for suitable reflection of the speaker characteristics, one of the most important determinants in the fields of speaker recognition. In order to overcome the weakness of text-dependent and text-independent speaker recognition, the text-prompt type was suggested. Performed speaker identification and verification in close and open set respectively, hence the Genetic algorithm-based reference patterns had been proven to have better performance in both recognition rate and speed than that of conventional reference patterns.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the preparation patterns of traditional fermented soybean products(jang) from the housewives living in Yangsan. 89.4% of the respondents used once a day, every meal and the frequency of eating was higher with getting older. 70% answered that the taste of their homemade doenjang was good, while only 2.5% were not be satisfied with their doenjang. According to the survey, 82.2% of the housewives used the meju made by the traditional method for jang preparation, of which perparation patterns showed remarkablely in the housewives living in the independent home. On the other hand, we could see that the amount of jang preparated one time in each home of Yangsan region was approximately 6∼10kg or 16∼20kg. The hard tasks of jang preparation were seasoning, storing and meju preparation. Especially, housewives living in the communal house had a difficulty in storing of jang. But most wants to continue to prepare jang by traditional method at home.
Crime is not a completely random event but rather shows a pattern in space and time. Capturing the dynamic nature of crime patterns is a challenging task. Crime prediction models that rely only on neighborhood influence and demographic features might not be able to capture the dynamics of crime patterns, as demographic data collection does not occur frequently and is static. This work proposes a novel approach for crime count and hotspot prediction to capture the dynamic nature of crime patterns using taxi data along with historical crime and demographic data. The proposed approach predicts crime events in spatial units and classifies each of them into a hotspot category based on the number of crime events. Four models are proposed, which consider different covariates to select a set of independent variables. The experimental results show that the proposed combined subset model (CSM), in which static and dynamic aspects of crime are combined by employing the taxi dataset, is more accurate than the other models presented in this study.
From the mathematical and statistical point of view, a segment of a DNA strand can be viewed as a sequence of four-state (A, C, G, T) trials. Herein, we consider the distributions of runs and patterns related to the run lengths of multi-state sequences, especially for four states (A, B, C, D). Let X1, X2, . . . be a sequence of four state independent and identically distributed trials taking values in the set 𝒢 = {A, B, C, D}. In this study, we obtain exact formulas for the probability distribution function for the discrete distribution of runs of B's of order k. We obtain longest run statistics, shortest run statistics, and determine the distributions of waiting times and run lengths.

The purpose of this study were to investigate the purchase influence of teenagers in the family by examining the evaluation of market value according to their clothing purchase style. The questionaire survey was carried out 572 high school, and middle school students in Seoul region in Feb., 2000. SPSS package program was used to analyze the gathered data. The results of the research were as follows: 1. Four types of family communication patterns were identified through cluster analyses: laissez-faires, protectives, pluralistics, consensuals. 2. Market values were classified into seven dimensions by factor analyses: user value-psychological value, performance value; payer value-payment convenience value, price value; buyer value-personalization value, service value, purchase convenience value. 3. Independent purchase was evaluated higher than joint purchase for the price value and psychological value, while joint purchase marked higher than independent purchase for the performance value, payment convenience value, service value and purchase convenience value. And there were some differences in the results of evaluation among the family communication patterns.
Background: Tumor recurrence is the most common cause of treatment failure, even after complete resection of early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In this study, we investigated the prognosis of patients with early recurrence in order to identify independent risk factors related to early recurrence. Methods: Between February 1995 and December 2012, 242 patients who underwent surgical resection for stage I NSCLC at Dong-A University Hospital were reviewed. The factors predicting overall survival (OS) and early recurrence were investigated. We also investigated the relationship between the patterns and period of recurrence and clinicopathological factors. Results: For patients with stage IA and IB NSCLC, the 5-year OS rate was 75.7% and 57.3% (p=0.006), respectively. A multivariate Cox proportional hazards model demonstrated that gender (p=0.004), comorbidity number (p=0.038), resection type (p=0.002), and tumor size (p=0.022) were the statistically significant predictors of OS. Moreover, the multivariate analysis revealed that smoking history (p=0.023) and histologic grade (p=0.012) were the independent predictors of early recurrence. Additionally, only histologic grade (poor differentiation) was found to be significantly associated with a higher frequency of distant metastasis; there was no relationship between the patterns and period of recurrence and clinicopathological factors. Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that smoking history and histologic grade were independent prognostic factors for early recurrence within two years in patients with early-stage NSCLC. Patients with these predictive factors may be good candidates for adjuvant therapy.

The goal of this study was to efficiently analyze the relationships of the number of thefts with related factors, considering the spatial patterns of theft crimes. Theft crime data for a 5-year period (2009-2013) were collected from Haeundae Police Station. A logarithmic transformation was performed to ensure an effective statistical analysis and the number of theft crimes was used as the dependent variable. Related factors were selected through a literature review and divided into social, environmental, and defensive factors. Seven factors, were selected as independent variables: the numbers of foreigners, aged persons, single households, companies, entertainment venues, community security centers, and CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems. OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) and GWR (Geographically Weighted Regression) were used to analyze the relationship between the dependent variable and independent variables. In the GWR results, each independent variable had regression coefficients that differed by location over the study area. The GWR model calculated local values for, and could explain the relationships between, variables more efficiently than the OLS model. Additionally, the adjusted R square value of the GWR model was 10% higher than that of the OLS model, and the GWR model produced a AICc (Corrected Akaike Information Criterion) value that was lower by 230, as well as lower Moran's I values. From these results, it was concluded that the GWR model was more robust in explaining the relationship between the number of thefts and the factors related to theft crime.

This study is aimed to identify latent classes which are based the change patterns in assistive technology device use among worker with disabilities and to test the effects of independent variables(gender, education, disability type, disability density, activity and participation of ICF: ICF, subjective socioeconomic status: SES, job satisfaction, life satisfaction) on determining latents classes. This study applied Nagin's(1999) semi-parametric group based approach to the panel survey of employment for the disabled. Because dependant variable has dichotomous scale, logit model was used. The results identified three latent classes, which could be defined based on the patterns as follows; assistive device continued use group, assistive device mid-level use group, assistive device sharp decline use group. The effects of the independent variables on the latent classes was tested by multinomial logit analysis. The results showed that education, disability type, ICF, SES, and life satisfaction were significant determinants of the latent classes. Finally, the implications based on analysis results were suggested.
The purpose of this study was to contribute to planning and developing various new apartment unit plans of the future through examining the differences on the spatial behavioral patterns and the post-occupancy evaluation between DK-front type and DK-rear type. 245 households which were included 79 DK-front types and 166 DK-rear types, were collected and analyzed at Masan and Gimhae cities in Kyungnam area. The result is as follows: 1) The analysis of the spatial behavioral patterns revealed that Anbang was the room for the couple independent from guests and children. Living room was the family's room for every activity, used more frequently DK-front types than DK-rear types. The family lift cycles of households, the visual unification between Living room and DK, the closed figures of DK in DK-front types have been influenced for the activities of Living room. 2) In the post-occupancy evaluation, DK-front types were positive in the lighting of DK area and its connection with Living room, while negative in the proximity from entrance to DK, cooking convenience, and the proximity between rooms. It was explained clearly through the reasons of the rejection of DK-front types from now.
Currently, IETF MANEMO(Mobile Adhoc for NEMO) working group is working on standardization supporting internal routing in nested NEMO networks. Nested NEMO has a independent topology feature that Mobile IP and basic NEMO protocol did not caused. This is the reason that causes exceptional mobility pattern. Such mobility patterns also trigger each other reconfiguration requirements. This paper classified and analyzed probable new mobility patterns in nested NEMO network. In concludion, we derived configuration problem from the new mobility patterns and suggested differential reconfiguration requirements through analytical approach.
