In country, for 2002 World-cup the peak is to construct soccer playground. the stabilizing method by additives is mainly applied of permanent improvement for bearing capacity of structure foundation and for strength, durability and transformation of road pavement layer except for construction machine's trafficability and bearing capacity. This study is on soft ground improvement of $\bigcirc$$\bigcirc$ world-cup stadium field. construction field constitutes of very various layers and after construction the lawn grass should be planted on the surface of the earth and in addition, chemical effects should be limited from improved ground layer. Mixing soft clay in field with three domestic representative additives, it evaluated the unconfined compression strength. In the results, after curing during 28 days the objective strength has been obtained on about 5% combination ratio.
This paper presents a new analytical approach and experimental verification for the improvement of noise performance in phased-array receivers. For analysis purposes, a multi-channel array system is converted into an equivalent single-channel system, such that the two presents the identical signal and noise powers at the output, respectively. We define an effective gain, noise figure, and signal-to-noise ratio in the equivalent system. Through the proposed approach, the noise performance of the array receiver is analyzed in a general and straightforward manner and then compared to that of each individual array channel. In addition, the phase noise of the array system is analyzed in a rigorous manner, showing its effective reduction by a factor of the array size. The predicted improvement of the noise performance is experimentally confirmed with a CMOS integrated phased-array receiver.
The surface layer in dredged and reclaimed marine clay is improved by mixing of shallow soils and hardening agents, which is made of cement, containing some other special admixtures. Tests in both laboratory and field settings are performed to investigate the improvement effect and strength properties of cement-stabilized soils. The test results show that the hardening agent sufficiently improves the soil properties of the surface layer, while increasing the load-carrying capacity. The strength of cement-stabilized soils depends, primarily, on water-to-cement ratio and curing temperature. That is, the higher curing temperature and the longer curing time, the higher the strength in cement-stabilized soils. The high ratio of water-ta-cement results in a lower strength.
This experiment was carried out to investigate the mixing ratio of soil amending materials such as peat perlite, active carbon and zeolite for improvements of physiochemical properties of topsoil, of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris var. Penncross). The results were as followed :1.Appropriate addition of soil improvement material was increased the soil porosity due to the decrease of bulk density. Over supplement of soil improvement material induced the decrease of infiltration of water into soil.2Content of organic matter was increased in treatment of peat and active carbon . Soil reaction was decreased in peat treatment, but increased in perlite, zeolite and active carbon. Exchangeable cation capacity was increased by the addition of all kinds of soil improvement materials used in this experiment.
In this paper, we analyzed the error rate performance of convolution coded 16 QAM signal with Optimum Threshold Detection with maximum ratio combining diversity in Rician Fading Environments. The performance of 16-QAM signal with CTD (conventional threshold detection) which employs convolution coding technique was analyzed and the performance improvement of convolution coded 16-QAM signal with OTD (optimum threshold detection) which is varied according to fading parameter "K" and AWGN in Rician Fading channel was simulated. As a result of analysis, it was shown the effect of performance improvement to overcome the environment of mobile radio data communication channel.

A degradation of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in a digital moving target indicator system (DMTI System) can be Improved by weighting of the DMTI output pulses before the integration process. and it Is shown that the signal-to-noise ratio Is unproved as the nunlber of delay line cancellers. It is Known that signal-to-noise ratio obtained with optimum weighting is greater than that obtained with binomial weighting. An improvement performance of the signal-to-noise ratio for each case is presented through the results or a computter simulation.

The objective of this study is to review and verify whether the functions and effect of roadside trees generally hewn in theory are actually realized in urban roads and how well they are performed if the function and effect are realized. The study was conducted with a focus on 3 functions and effects including roadside tree's urban landscape improvement function (green area visibility ratio), effect of introducing green area within a city, and urban green network building function. The major study results are as follows: First, the average green area visibility ratio of 41 study areas is currently about 25.90%. The green area visibility ratio of commercial area within downtown was lowest among 5 road types. It showed that it is possible to raise the average green area visibility ratio up to 32.49% through roadside tree management and additional plantation. Second, in a section between Paldal Mountain and Suwon City Hall where there is no forest fragments and parks at all, a green area of 4,826 roadside trees represented 2.4% of total area and served as the only linear green area. Third, an analysis of 15 cities in Kyonggi province showed that urban forests are concentrated in outskirts. The suey showed that because forest fragments and parks exist in a form of points in urban areas, roadside trees are the only green areas that link each other and build a network.

The compaction pile methods with low replacement area ratio used sand(SCP) or gravel(GCP) has been usually applied to improvement of soft clay deposits. In order to design accurately compaction pile method with low replacement area ratio, it is important to understand the mechanical interaction between sand piles and clays and its mechanism during consolidation process of the composition ground. In this paper, a series of numerical analyses on composition ground improved by SCP and GCP with low replacement area ratio were carried out, in order to investigate the mechanical interaction between sand piles and clays. The applicability of numerical analyses, in which and elasto-viscoplastic consolidation finite element method was applied, could be confirmed comparing with results of a series of model tests on consolidation behaviors of composition ground improved by SCP. And,through the results of the numerical analyses, each mechanical behaviors of compaction piles and clays in the composition ground during consolidation was elucidated, together with stress sharing mechanism between compaction piles and clays.

A cylindrical constant volume combustion chamber was used to investigate the combustion characteristics of stratified methane-air mixture under several initial charge conditions in the author's previous reports. The results showed that the improvement of thermal efficiency and reduction of heat loss was realized simultaneously by using 2-stage injection method. This paper deals with the reason why the stratified combustion has showed better combustion rate through the measurement and analysis of chemiluminescence of C $H^{*}$ and $C_{2}$$^{*}$ radicals. An optic fiber bundle is used to measure the local emission of C $H^{*}$ and $C_{2}$$^{*}$ radicals to map the relationship between the excess air ratio and local radical intensity ratio in the combustion vessel at 5 mm apart form the geometric center. The results show that there exist a relationship between the intensity ratio and the air-fuel ratio. It is revealed that the improvement of combustion rate in a lean-stratified mixture is realized through the 2-stage injection method. method.
The influences of some factors on the variation of compression strength of $CO_2$ process were investigated with an attention given to use of high $SiO_2\;/Na_2O$ silicate, addition of organics and gassing operation. 1) Higher ratio binder offers faster rates of hardening with lower $CO_2$ consumption requiring more concentration for a good strength development. A mixture containing 4 percent of 2.7:1 ratio silicate produces the strength above $8kg\;/\;cm^2$ after 80 seconds gassing, but 5% and 6% respectively of 3.0:1 and3.3:1 ratio silicate are necessary to achieve equivalent levels of strength. 2) The correct water content in sand mixtures containing higher ratio silicates is necessary for the better strength properties to be obtained. The addition of 1% water to the sand mixtures bonded with 5%,3:1 ratio and 6%,3.3:1 ratio silicates maintains near-maximum strength on extended gassing. 3) When higher ratio silicates with 3:1 and 3.3:1 ratios are used, the addition of organic additives such as oil, sucrose and polyol results in considerable changes in strength. The presence of 1.0 to 1.5 percent of polyol produces a noticiable improvement 4) Gas diluted with air raises the efficiency of gas utilization. When gas contains 50 percent $CO_2$, the efficience is significantly increased with the best strength in the silicates having high ratios of 3:1 and 3.3:1. 5) The strength of molds is liable to change on storage with the reduction in water content. The magnitude of the strength change is determinded with the mole ratio. The presence of polyol in the mixture with 3.3:1 ratio silicate has a pronounced effect on maintaining the gassed strength.
