This study was carried out to show at the fractal analysis complements the practical disadvantage of gray level histogram which is designed to measure the quantitative classification of echo patterns in ultrasonographic image of parenchymal organs such as spleen and kidney and it is a practical method of measurement for quantitative classification. By using ultrasonographs, kidney and spleen of 21 healthy Beagles were fixed under different gain settings to be scanned for echo patterns and results were analyzed with body gray level histogram and fractal analysis. Then it was compared based on the statistical data obtained. Although there was a proportionate increase in histogram along with gain settings, there were consistencies in the fractal dimension. In terms of quantitative analysis in ultrasonographic images, fractal analysis is concluded to complement the practical disadvantage of gray level histogram.

This study is to analyze the symbolic images appeared in modern fashion design adopted dualistic meanings in uniforms. Uniforms signify order, conformity and discipline in public life. The dualistic meanings in uniforms appeared modern times are as follows: public authority vs individual non-authority, heterosexual identity vs homosexual identity, time-space uniformity vs mixed diversity. The symbolic images appeared in modern fashion design adopted dualistic meanings in uniforms such as military uniforms, school uniforms, nurses' uniforms, sports uniforms and etc. are erotic image, hybrid image, and kitsch image.

An unexpected occlusion in a real life, not in a laboratory, can be more fatal to neural networks than expected. In addition, it is virtually impossible to create a network that learns all the environmental changes as well as occlusions. Therefore, we propose an alternative approach in which the architecture and number of parameters remain unchanged while adapting to occlusion circumstances. Learning method with the term Conversion Learning classifies them more robustly by converting the weights from various occlusion situations. The experiments on MNIST dataset showed a 3.07 [%p] performance improvement over the baseline CNN model in a situation where most objects are occluded and unknowing what occlusion will appear in advance. The experimental results suggest that Conversion Learning is an efficient method to respond to environmental changes such as occluded images.

This study was to investigate brand images of ladies wear and the effects of fashion advertisements, and to determine the difference of brand image preference and the effects of fashion advertising by clothing life style. 421 subjects were gathered through stratified sampling method and, for data analysis, frequency distribution, $x^2-test$, Cronbach'$\alpha$, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple Range test, Multiple Dimentional Scaling (M.D.S.), Factor analysis, Cluster analysis, were conducted. The results are as follows; 1. In image formation process, feminine as formal image, manish as casual image, were recognized. 2. Four factors were determined for analysis of clothing life styles and with these factors five different clothing life style groups were classified. 3. There was a meaningful difference between clothing life style and brand image preference, and also between clothing life style and the effects of fashion advertisement. From these findings, general and specific fashion advertising strategies are proposed.

In daily life if a condoler receive a notice of a person's death who he/she know, he/she generally have the deepest regret and offer condolence money. Also an enterpriser or private chairman send a floral tribute. But it has some problem to occur a abuse according in reuse and an environmental pollution in process of trash. In this paper it is suggested an business model for the condolence service using images, floral tributes and letters of condolence made of images, in the funeral place which is an alternation to reduce the problem. And it is structured and implemented a service model that displays floral tributes made of dynamic images to a large monitor installed on wall in condoler room of funeral place. As a result it is showed that a service of floral tributes made of images may be realized to be given web site of servicing images for the condolence.

In post-industrial society consumption takes a role as a means of acquiring unique lifestyle of style especially for the new generation. The purpose of this study was to identify consumption culture of adolescents in the context of consumerism culture. The use of goods in order to create social distinctions and to establish self-identity was note in is new generation's consumption culture and it was argued that advertising and other media attach images of beauty fulfilment and good life and that they persuade adolescents to have such lifestyle through buying consumer goods. It was also argued that the consumption culture of adolescents is strongly related to the counter-culture or counter-school culture. Implications were discussed with respect to future research area.

Textile scientists have regarded the material appearance of natural fibers, especially that of silk or wool fibers, as the benchmark for reinventing the look and feel of the long term, friendly companion of mankind. The appearances or textures of the materials surrounding us in everyday life have long been interesting topics to many people.from scholars to painters. Even the simplest questions may require careful pondering. Why is the silk fabric so lustrous with subtlety? Recently, appearance models have become increasingly important in textile products. They are needed to model and simulate different models. In this study, the optical characteristics of filament yarns and knitted fabrics were investigated using images taken at various angles and illumination conditions. Then the images were analyzed using some image analysis techniques, such as thresholding and measuring luster blobs. The anisotropic nature of the filamentous specimens was studied based on the images acquired at different incident illumination and observing angles with several alignment positions of the fabric specimens. A few cylindrical models were generated using commercially available software, Rhinoceros, and then on the models, a ray-tracing algorithm based on a software, POV-Ray, was applied to simulate the appearance or lustrous images of the monofilament models.

An integrated on-line inspection system was constructed with seven cameras, half mirrors to split images, 720 nm and 970 nm band pass filters, illumination chamber having several tungsten-halogen lamps, one main computer, one color frame grabber, two 4-channel multiplexors, and flat plate conveyer, etc., so that a total of seven images, that is, one color image from the top side of an apple and two B/W images from each side (top, right and left) could be captured and displayed on a computer monitor through the multiplexor. One of the two B/W images captured from each side is 720nm filter image and the other is 970nm. With this system an on-line grading software was developed to evaluate appearance quality. On-line test results to the Fuji apples that were manually fed on the conveyer showed that grading accuracies of the color, defective and shape were 95.3%, 86% and 91%, respectively. Grading time was 0.35 sec per apple on an average. Therefore, this on-line grading system could be used for inspection of the final products produced from an apple sorting system.
