In previous studies, the digital measurement systems and analysis algorithms were developed by using the related techniques, such as the aerial photograph detection and high resolution satellite image process. However, these studies were limited in 2-dimensional geo-processing. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the 3-dimensional spatial information and coordinate system for higher accuracy in recognizing and locating of geo-features. The objective of this study was to develop a stochastic algorithm for the optimal sensor placement using the 3-dimensional spatial analysis method. The 3-dimensional information of the LiDAR was applied in the sensor field algorithm based on 2- and/or 3-dimensional gridded points. This study was conducted with three case studies using the optimal sensor placement algorithms; the first case was based on 2-dimensional space without obstacles(2D-non obstacles), the second case was based on 2-dimensional space with obstacles(2D-obstacles), and lastly, the third case was based on 3-dimensional space with obstacles(3D-obstacles). Finally, this study suggested the methodology for the optimal sensor placement - especially, for ground-settled sensors - using the LiDAR data, and it showed the possibility of algorithm application in the information collection using sensors.
This study introduces integrated approach on detection of a leakage in a sea wall based on remote sensing, electric resistivity survey, electromagnetic survey, and borehole survey for the Seosan A-Region sea wall. The satellite temperature distribution from Landsat ETM+ data identifies water leakage distribution and period by analyzing temperature mixing patterns between sea water and fresh water. Electric resistivity survey provides both horizontal and vertical anomaly distributions over the sea wall showing below average electric resistivity. Electromagnetic survey(electrical conductivity survey) reveals the potential possible leakage areas with minimal background impact by comparing electrical conductivity values between high and low tides. Borehole image processing system confirmed the locations of anomalies identified from the other survey methods and distributions of vertical fracture zones. The integrated approach identified 41.7% of the sea wall being the most probable area vulnerable to water leakage and effectively approximated both horizontal and vertical distribution of water leakage. The integrated analysis of remote sensing, electric resistivity survey, electromagnetic survey and borehole survey is considered to be an optimal method in identifying water leakage distribution, period, and extent of fractures knowledged from the boreholes.

Purpose: The success of the bonding between electroformed gold and ceramic is dependent on the surface treatment of the pure gold coping. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the bonding strength between the electroformed gold and ceramic with varying surface treatment. Materials and methods: A total of 32 disks,8 were using conventional ceramometal alloy, 24 were using electroforming technique as recommended by manufacturer, were prepared. 24 electroformed disks were divided 3 groups according to surface treatment, i.e. 50 microns aluminium oxide sandblasting(GES-Sand), gold bonder treatment(GES-Bond) and $Rocatec^{TM}$ system(GES-Rocatec). For control group of conventional alloy 50 microns aluminium oxide treatment was done(V-Supragold). Energy dispersive x-ray analysis and scanning electron microscope image were observed. Using universal testing machine, shear bond strength and bonding failure mode at metal-porcelain interface were measured. Results and Conclusion: The following conclusions were drawn: 1. In the energy dispersive x-ray analysis, the Au was main component in electroformed gold(99.9wt%). After surface treatment, a little amount of $Al_2O_3(2.4wt%)$ were found in GES-Sand, and $SiO_2(4wt%)$ in GES-Bond. In GES-Rocatec, however, a large amount of $SiO_2(17.4wt%)$ were found. 2. In the scanning electron microscopy, similar pattern of surface irregu larities were observed in V-Supragold and GES-Sand. In GES-Bond, surface irregularities were increased and globular ceramic particles were observed. In GES-Rocatec, a large amount of silica particles attached to metal surface with increased surface irregularities were observed. 3. The mean shear bond strength values(MPa) in order were $22.9{\pm}3.7(V-Supragold),\;22.1{\pm}3.8(GES-Bond),\;20.1{\pm}2.8(GES-Rocatec)\;and\;13.0{\pm}1.4(GES-Sand)$. There was no significant difference between V-Supragold, GES-Bond, and GES-Rocatec. (P>0.05) 4. Most bonding failures modes were adhesive type in GES-Sand. However, in V-Supragold, GES-Bond and GES-Rocatec, cohesive and combination failures were commonly observed. From the result, with proper surface treatment method electroformed gold may have enough strength compare to conventional ceramometal alloy.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of electrical stimulation on the number of MCs and percent of degranulated MCs in rat skin. Twelve male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into two group; electrical stimulation group (n=6) and control group (n=6). Each animals hair on the back was removed. The electrical stimulation group received an positive rectangular pulsed electrical stimulation, while the control group was given the same treatment without electricity. The biopsy specimens were fixed in formalin, embedded in paraffin and stained with toluidine blue-nuclear fast red and alcian blue-safranin O. respectively. The MCs were counted using a light microscope and computerized image analysis system and calculated as the density and the percent. A t-test showed a significantly higher density of MCs in the electrical stimulated rats than control rats(p<0.05), and the percent of degranulated MCs in the electrical stimulated rats was higher than in the control rats (p<0.05) in toluidine blue stained sections. The density of MCs was significantly higher in the electrical stimulated rats than the control rats in alcian blue-safranin O Stained sections (P<0.01). An analysis of variance showed that the densities of CTMCs was significantly lower than the densities of MMCs and mixed MCs in electrical stimulated rat in alcian blue-safranin O Stained sections (p<0.05). These results suggest that the electrical stimulation may have potential for increasing the number of MCs and lead to degranulate the MCs in rat skin.
This study selects political and military decision factors of Participatory Government's Wartime Operational Control(OPCON) Transition and analyzes, both quantitatively and qualitatively, the effects and relations between those factors. Previous research utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) selected their decision factors based on academic data and field experience, requiring more objective analysis of the factors. For this study, we conducted a survey among security subject matter experts(SME) both online and offline. The results show that OPCON transition's decision factors were to 'recover military sovereignty', 'set the conditions for peaceful reunification' and 'improve ROK image through enhancing national power' which differs little from the previous AHP method studies. It also showed that 'recover military sovereignty' and 'set the conditions for peaceful reunification' had no relationship to each other and that the key factor that decided the OPCON Transition was actually 'recover military sovereignty' which represents the interest of the liberal party in ROK. This study finds its meaning by analyzing the decision factors of Participartory Government's OPCON Transition thorugh Delphi and DEMATEL method.
This study was focused on digital restoration and surface depth modeling applying the three-dimensional laser scanning system of the Haeundae Stone Inscription. Firstly, the three-dimensional digital restoration carried out acquiring of point cloud using wide range and precision scanner, thereafter registering, merging, filtering, polygon mesh and surveyed map drawing. In particular, stroke of letters, inscribed depth and definition appearing the precision scanning polygon was outstanding compared with ones of the wide range polygon. The surface depth modeling completed through separation from polygon, establishment of datum axis, selection of datum point, contour mapping and polygon merging. Also, relative inscribed depth (5~17mm) and outline by the depth modeling was well-defined compared with photograph and polygon image of the inscription stone. The digital restoration technology merging wide range and precision scanning restored the total and detailed shape of the Stone Inscription quickly and accurately. In addition, the surface depth modeling visibly showed unclear parts from naked eye and photograph. In the future, various deteriorations and surrounding environment change of the Stone Inscription will be numerically analyze by periodic monitoring.
For reducing greenhouse gases, many countries carried out a series of activities not only at home but abroad. Particularly, after the release of the Kyoto Protocol, either nation or companies' participation was intensified, due to endow to responsibility of emission limits. This study focused on reforestation CDM work in Goseong Gun based on clean development system. Obstacle factors of land eligibility could be distinguished to three periods: before December 31th 1989, present and future. The obstacle before December 31th 1989 was that land cover of study area hardly illustrated by Landsat image, due to the low resolution, which were confirmed by a document of Grassland Composition Permission instead. The problem of current land eligibility is that the area of trees presence are difficult to be determined as forest or not. The boundary of forest in strata was identified, using 3-Dimensional Cartography Machine and aerial photograph. Land eligibility would still have obstacle whether the study area with trees presence has potentiality to be forest in the future at situation in absence of reforestation project. This was resolved by prediction of tree growth using stem analysis during execution of the project at study area.

In this study was classified the cadastral control points and parcel boundary points into 40m, 100m by flight altitude of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) which compared the coordinates extracted from the orthophoto with the parcel boundary point coordinates by GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) ground survey. As a results of this study, first, in the spatial resolution analysis that the average error of the orthoimage by flight altitude were 0.024m at 40m, and 0.034m at 100m which were higher 40m than 100m for spatial resolution of orthophotos and position accuracy. Second, in order to analyze the accuracy of image recognition by airmark of flight altitude that was divided into three cases of nothing, green, and red of RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) were X=0.039m, Y=0.019m and Z=0.055m, the highest accuracy. Third, the result of the comparison between orthophotos and field survey results that showed the total RMSE error of the cadastral control points were X=0.029m, Y=0.028m, H=0.051m, and the parcel boundary points were X=0.041m, Y=0.030m. In conclusion, based on the results of this study, it is expected that if the average error of flight altitude is limited to less than 0.05m in the legal regulations related to orthophotos for cadastral surveying, it will be an economical and efficient method for cadastral survey as well as spatial information acquisition.

This research aims to present a methodological approach for repurposing small pockets of national/public lands, which can be constructed as parks, through an investigation of the present status of these areas of national/public lands that are scattered around Busan Megalopolis as well as the suitability of their construction. In order to attain this, this study looked at the present status of these small areas of national/public lands by utilizing a national land, city land list (lot number), land registration map and satellite image of Busan Megalopolis, and evaluating their suitability as parks through GIS analysis and classification. As a result, these small areas of lands with the potential to be turned into parks include 516 spots($375,934m^2$). Geographically, 39% of these areas are located on flat land and are the most scattered. 260 places met the requirements for optimal placement for conversion, while convenience included 305 places, and availability 267 places. The most optimal of the places meeting such standards include 61 spots. The characteristics of these areas of national/public lands include being below $500m^2$, with flatlands and open areas above a 5' grade occupy the highest ratio, accounting for 25.4% of the land studied. These results have offered a methodology for a GIS DB, which can visualize the data for a positive utilization be yond the simple level of the maintenance/preservation of national/public lands and provide basic data for the utilization and management of these types of areas in the future.

Unlike other natural disasters, drought is a reoccurring and region-wide phenomenon after being triggered by a prolonged precipitation deficiency. Considering that remote sensing products provide consistent temporal and spatial measurements of precipitation, this study developed a remote sensing data-based drought outlook model. The meteorological drought was defined by the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) achieved from PERSIANN_CDR, TRMM 3B42 and GPM IMERG images. Bayesian networks were employed in this study to combine the historical drought information and dynamical prediction products in advance of drought outlook. Drought outlook was determined through a decision-making model considering the current drought condition and forecasted condition from the Bayesian networks. Drought outlook condition was classified by four states such as no drought, drought occurrence, drought persistence, and drought removal. The receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis were employed to measure the relative outlook performance with the dynamical prediction production, Multi-Model Ensemble (MME). The ROC analysis indicated that the proposed outlook model showed better performance than the MME, especially for drought occurrence and persistence of 2- and 3-month outlook.
