In a smart grid environment, data for the usage and control of power are transmitted over an Internet protocol (IP)-based network. This data contains very sensitive information about the user or energy service provider (ESP); hence, measures must be taken to prevent data manipulation. Mutual authentication between devices, which can prevent impersonation attacks by verifying the counterpart's identity, is a necessary process for secure communication. However, it is difficult to apply existing signature-based authentication in a smart grid system because smart meters, a component of such systems, are resource-constrained devices. In this paper, we consider a smart meter and propose an efficient mutual authentication protocol. The proposed protocol uses a matrix-based homomorphic hash that can decrease the amount of computations in a smart meter. To prove this, we analyze the protocol's security and performance.

Recently, Transformer has made great progress in video retrieval tasks due to its high representation capability. For the structure of a Transformer, the cascaded self-attention modules are capable of capturing long-distance feature dependencies. However, the local feature details are likely to have deteriorated. In addition, increasing the depth of the structure is likely to produce learning bias in the learned features. In this paper, an improved Transformer structure named TransDCS (Transformer with Dynamic Convolution and Shortcut) is proposed. A Multi-head Conv-Self-Attention module is introduced to model the local dependencies and improve the efficiency of local features extraction. Meanwhile, the augmented shortcuts module based on a dual identity matrix is applied to enhance the conduction of input features, and mitigate the learning bias. The proposed model is tested on MSRVTT, LSMDC and Activity-Net benchmarks, and it surpasses all previous solutions for the video-text retrieval task. For example, on the LSMDC benchmark, a gain of about 2.3% MdR and 6.1% MnR is obtained over recently proposed multimodal-based methods.
Let R be a commutative ring with identity. In this paper, we characterize the prime submodules of a free R-module F of finite rank with at most n generators, when R is a GCD domain. Also, we show that if R is a Bézout domain, then every prime submodule with n generators is the row space of a prime matrix. Finally, we study the existence of primary decomposition of a submodule of F over a Bézout domain and characterize the minimal primary decomposition of this submodule.
We have witnessed several kinds of new discourses and practices in health and medicine since the 1970s, such as popular concerns with alternative or complementary medicine, inordinate attention to the promotion of 'healthy' living, rapid resurrection of traditional medicine and ecological management of health. Four structural and situational factors are discussed to underlie these new trends:(i) as 'crisis' in health care of the 1970s was translated into health care reform of the 1980s backed up by neo-liberal political philosophy, the state responsibility for nation's health is being transferred to the individual ;(ii) it resulted from the limits of biomedical paradigm in dealing with chronic diseases;(iii) medico-scientific knowledge of disease is transformed into the subjective discourses and technologies of health in postmodern society ; and (iv) it is deeply associated with the considerable increase in environmental risk perception of health and disease. There are some inherent countervailing forces in these new discourses and practices. First, while they derive from lifestyle-oriented behavioral change, medicalization of life and death is still consolidated in the new trends. Second, inasmuch as new tides are reliant upon science, they. are likely to be remote from techne that means not the practical application of theoretical knowing but a special form of practical knowing. Third, as new discourses and activities accomplished'in the name of health'increasingly occupy important strategies in forming the self-identity, they serve as moral apparatus which involves prescriptions about how we should live our lives and conduct our bodies, both individually and collectively. Therefore, two points are suggested to consider seriously whether these streams will succeed in improving the‘healthy’living of all the people. Instead of limiting tile perspective to medicine, healing and health care, a new matrix that interweave welfare, ecology and labor along with them is timely needed for enhancing the health for all. In addition, as the World Health Report fm strongly shows, inequality in health heavily depends upon socio-economic development of a society, and it is not the richest countries that have the best health status, but those that have the smallest income differences between rich and poor.
The common pathogen Salmonella enteirtidis (S. enteritidis) is the major cause of foodborne disease. Protein identification by peptide mass fingerprinting using the matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of fight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry (MS) can analysis unambiguously identity the spots from 2-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) gel. In this report, we examined protein components from patterns of S. enteritidis proteins. In addition, antigens that are recognized by sera can be identified by immunoblotting. This study that 2-DE analysis of S. enteritidis yields useful information concerning S. enteritidis proteome, the results that have been obtained led to a more detailed understanding of Salmonella pathology and open further interesting fields for future work.

In order to perform the spatial buckling and static analysis of the nonsymmetric thin-walled beam-column element, improved exact static stiffness matrices were evaluated using equilibrium equation and force-deformation relationships. This numerical technique was obtained using a generalized linear eigenvalue problem, by introducing 14 displacement parameters and system of linear algebraic equations with complex matrices. Unlike the evaluation of dynamic stiffness matrices, some zero eigenvalues were included. Thus, displacement parameters related to these zero eigenvalues were assumed as polynomials, with their exact distributions determined using the identity condition. The exact displacement functions corresponding to three loadingcases for initial stress-resultants were then derived, by consistently combining zero and nonzero eigenvalues and corresponding eigenvectors. Finally, exact static stiffness matrices were determined by applying member force-displacement relationships to these displacement functions. The buckling loads and displacement of thin-walled beam were evaluated and compared with analytic solutions and results using ABAQUS' shell element or straight beam element.

Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans is a gram-negative, nonmotile coccobacillus bacterium that is associated with several human diseases, including endocarditis, meningitis, osteomyelitis, subcutaneous abscesses and periodontal diseases. A full-length Omp1-like protein gene from A. actinomycetemcomitans was cloned into a pQE30 vector and overexpressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3) cells. The protein revealed sequence homologies to Seventeen kilodalton proteins (Skp) from Pasteurella multocida and E. coli that have been characterized as periplasmic chaperones. This soluble Omp1-like protein was successfully purified to homogeneity for further folding and functional studies. The purity, identity, and conformation of the protein were determined using sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry, circular dichroism, fluorescence spectroscopic, and differential scanning calorimetric studies. We showed that the protein formed an oligomer larger than a tetramer. We found, further, that it is comprised of mostly $\alpha$-helices and boasts high thermal stability.
Observed results of the adsorption between two competing anions for the shared sorption sites represent that the adsorption phenomena may depends on the characteristics of anion and available sorption sites in a given conditions. In binary systems, adsorption of one species can significantly influence the fate of the other anion, resulting in control of the extent of solute-adsorbate distributions throughout soil profile. And the proton-donation mechanisms by organic anions having a carboxyl as a functional group can also influence the adsorption of inorganic anions onto the hydroxylated sites of Fe and Al oxides. However, study of competitive adsorption of specifically adsorbed anions illustrates some of difficulties which arise in interpretation of reactions at oxide/aqueous solution interfaces. At least two factors prevented a simple analysis of reactions. First, at any pH value the maximum amount of adsorbate taken up at the surface depends on the identity of the anion. Second, it was necessary to postulate the sorption sites where the anion can be adsorbed. Hence, anions having non-specific adsorption characteristics are less capable for sorption sites, compared to those of specific adsorption characteristics, even though competition complies both ordinary and electrostatic interactions for sorption sites. Therefore, competition among chemical species in soil matrix can be of major significance in determining the effective mobility of any reactive anions with sorption sites.

Zr alloy specimens were coated with Cr-Al alloy to enhance their resistance to oxidation. The coated samples were oxidized at 1200 ℃ in a steam environment for 300 s and showed extremely low oxidation when compared to uncoated Zr alloy specimens. The microstructure and elemental distribution of the oxides formed on the surface of Cr-Al alloys have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). A very thin protective layer of Cr2O3 formed on the outer surface of the Cr-Al alloy, and a thin Al2O3 layer was also observed in the Cr-Al alloy matrix, near the surface. Our results suggest that these two oxide layers near the surface confers excellent oxidation resistance to the Cr-Al alloy. Even after exposure to a high temperature of 1200 ℃, inter-diffusion between the Cr-Al alloy and the Zr alloy occurred in very few regions near the interface. Analysis of the inter-diffusion layer by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) measurement confirmed its identity as Cr2Zr.
The gas spring is a hydropneumatic adjusting element, consisting of a pressure tube, a piston rod, a piston and a connection fitting. The gas spring is filled with compressed nitrogen within the cylinder. The filling pressure acts on both sides of the piston and because of area difference it produces an extension force. Therefore, a gas spring is similar in function compare to mechanical coil spring. Conversely, optimization is a process of finding the best set of parameters to reach a goal while not violating certain constraints. The AMESim software provides NLPQL (Nonlinear Programming by Quadratic Lagrangian) and GA (genetic algorithm) for optimization. The NLPQL method builds a quadratic approximation to the Lagrange function and linear approximations to all output constraints at each iteration, starting with the identity matrix for the Hessian of the Lagrangian, and gradually updating it using the BFGS method. On each iteration, a quadratic programming problem is solved to find an improved design until the final convergence to the optimum design. In this study, we conducted optimization design of the gas spring reaction force with NLPQL.
