The iZone System for Safety Walking of Children (어린이의 안전한 보행을 위한 iZone 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose iZone system for safe walking of children. The proposed system recognizes the state that a child is down a roadway as a dangerous situation. And then it informs the surrounding adults and guardians of the child in the event of a dangerous situation. The iZone system consists of the iZone device that attaches to a child's bag or clothing, the iZone app for children, the iZone server, and external beacons. The proposed system uses the ultrasonic sensor of the iZone device and the GPS coordinates and external beacons information by the children's smartphone to determine the dangerous situation. The proposed system uses external beacons to calibrate the GPS coordinates. Moreover, it determines whether the child is down the roadway in sidewalk by measuring the height difference between the roadway and the sidewalk using ultrasonic sensor.

  • Nowaday, many people study about Black-Out. In this paper, I introduce how to calculate the Dangerous Index against Black-Out, and prediction of Distance relay error action on Zone 3. we consider the real data by I-PIU which will be set on the system. The dangerous Index is calculated three index about Cascading. The prediction of Distance relay is considered by other facilities of power system. This two algorithm can be used on the center system, when the system is on danger, also on the normal states for security.

  • $LiTaO_3$ single crystals of congruently melting composition were grown by the halogen lamp type floating zone system. Calcination and sintering parameters for the growth were established. Optimum crystal growth conditions were investigated by a controlling of growth rates, rotation speeds and atmospheres. Based on the melting aspect and the shape of molten zone, stable conditions could not be found in air or Na atmosphere. However the growth stability in Ar atmosphere was more regular than that in air or $N_2$. The grown crystals were characterized using Laue back reflection, Curie temperature, refractive index and transmittance. Curie temperature fluctuation in the section of the grown crystal part of top, body and tail was $1^{\circ}C$.

  • This study tried to propose the guidelines for the ecological preservation zoning in Korea. So some related laws and regulations were inspected, which were Natural Environment Preservation Act, Nature Park Act, Cultural Asset Conservation Act, Forest Act and Urban Planning Act. In these acts, I could find several concepts related to the ecosystem that are described as the protection area. But there aren't detailed and practical characteristics in those concepts. So for making the practical concept of ecosystem preservation, I considered Multiple Use Module, Wildlife habitat model, and Environmental evaluation model. Thorough this step, the process and methodology was established for evaluating and analysing. The potentiality of the GIS system was inspected. So the TM5 scene of the site was acquired and processed by ER-Mapper, Idrisi, Arc/Info and Arcview. And several digitized data were input by scanning and vecterizing. The Erdas format was mostly exchangeable to any program. The site is the Byonsan Peninsula National Park. The forest stand information and topographic data were digitized, types of which are forest year, DBH, density, slope, aspect etc. And also the watershed boundary, roads and paths, natural and cultural resources were mapped and analysed. Modelling of preservation suitability found the dispersed patterns for the best suitable zone through all the site. And the development potential areas were checked on downwatershed. This patterns are thought to result from the forest location for the wildlife habitat and the low altitude and no-steep slopes for developing. And Early warning system concept was introduced by overlapping these two patterns on the both potential area. As the conclusions, I proposed that the preservation zone be assigned according to the watershed unit as the main ecosystem zone. This main area should be linked by the eco-corridor through the point type eco-system. Finally, I thought the comprehensive information system should be established for making the rational and efficient decision making in natural area.

  • The free trade zone would be evaluated at the point of granting exceptions of lease and disposal of land and manufactory, the organic relationship of the Manufacture and distribution, the reduction of rental value for foreign investment company and tax refund or exemption for customs duty that can be able to extend and draw new foreign investment enterprises. But despite of these, Free Trade zone, taking it in all its bearings, I considered its institutional problems and tried to find betterment of this.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the new korean district heating system for apartment houses. The upper & lower side ondol system with multi sensing control system was developed as a new korean district heating system and evaluated in 2 mock-up laboratories last winter. As a result of field measurement, when the load differences between perimeter zone and central zone are increased, the ondol system divided in the upper and lower side can be evaluated as the new ondol system with a capability for suppling proper heating energy for each zone. The user can have the freedom for changing an upper zone and a lower zone and controlling each temperature according to their needs.

  • Since the bits in any encoded PCM word are of different importance to the bit positions, in order to improve the signal to noise ratio the technique that the encoded signal bits are weighted for the QPSK transmission system, is presented. Also the erasure zone is established at the detector, such that if the output falls into the erasure zone, the regenerated sample is replaced by interpolation. Two weighting methods are shown here. One is the method that the same weighting profile is used to Q and I dimension in QPSK signal constellations. The other is diferent weighting to Q and I dimension. The gains of this new technique in overall signal s/n compared to conventional QPSK transmission system were 5 db and 2db, respectively.

  • The C-ARS(Cooperative Automated Roadway System) refers to a road infrastructure system that links automated vehicles with road infrastructure and communicates with each other via V2X communication to support automated vehicles. The purpose of this study is to suggest a performance evaluation method of C-ARS service. This study exemplifies the 'Work zone information service' among I2V service that provide information to automated vehicles in road infrastructure. First, we define the requirements and service scope needed to check the use case analysis and service performance of the service, and propose an evaluation system for performance evaluation of these services. In addition, the evaluation system was used to verify the feasibility of evaluation through the field test of 'Work zone information service'.

  • This paper describes that the size of inactive zone can be directly applied to design multiblade fan/scroll system. From the experimental studies using a five hole pitot tube and smoke test, it is found that the size of inactive zone has linear relations with the mean velocity of impeller inlet and cut-off angle gives a great influences to the fan efficiency. For the practical design, a function related with geometric parameters(i.e. inner radius, cord length, cut-off clearance and cut-off angle) of fan/scroll system is suggested. By using these formulas, the size and distribution of inactive zone can be predicted without the measurements through the full domain, it can be possible to use them to know the efficiency improvement for new model designed.
