This paper proposes a shortest path allocation algorithm over the processors on the hypercube system based on the message passing techniques with the optimized module allocation. On multiprocessor systems, how to divide one task into multiple tasks efficiently is an important issue due to the hardness of the life cycle estimation of each process. To solve the life cycle discrepancies, the appropriate task assignment to each processor and the flexible communications among the processors are indispensible. With the concurrent program execution on hypercube systems, each process communicaties to others with the method of message passing. And, each processor has its own memory. The proposed algorithm generates a callable tree out of the module, assigns the weight factors, constructs the allocation graph, finds the shortest path allocation tree, and maps them with hypercube.
To enable a relevance feedback paradigm to evolve itself by users' feedback, a reinforcement learning method is proposed. The feature space of the medical images is partitioned into positive and negative hypercubes by the system. Each hypercube constitutes an individual in a genetic algorithm infrastructure. The rules take recombination and mutation operators to make new rules for better exploring the feature space. The effectiveness of the rules is checked by a scoring method by which the ineffective rules will be omitted gradually and the effective ones survive. Our experiments on a set of 10,004 images from the IRMA database show that the proposed approach can better describe the semantic content of images for image retrieval with respect to other existing approaches in the literature.

Distributed mutual exclusion algorithms have employed two approaches to achieve mutual exclusion and can be divided into two broad classes:token-based and permission-based. Token-based algorithms share a unique token among the nodes and a node is allowed to access its common resources if it possesses the token. Permission-based algorithms require one or more successive rounds of message exchanges among the nodes to obtain the permission to access the common resources. A hypercube architecture has earned wide acceptance in multiprocessor systems in the past few years because of its simple, yet rich topology. Accordingly, we study distributed permission-based mutual exclusion algorithms for hypercubes, and design a distributed permission-based mutual exclusion algorithm based on a new information structure adapted to the hypercubes. The new information structure is a request set of T-pattern from a logical mesh that is embedded into a hypercube. If a node wants to access the common resources, it sends request message to all nodes in the request set by Lan's multicast algorithm. Once the node receives a grant message from all nodes in the request set, it accesses the common resource. We evaluate our algorithm with respect to minimum round-trip delay, blocking delay, and the number of messages per access to the common resource.
We consider the fault hamiltonian properties of m ${\times}$ n meshes with two wraparound links on the first row and the last row, denoted by M$_2$(m,n), (m$\geq$2, n$\geq$3). M$_2$(m,n), which is bipartite, with a single faulty link has a fault-free path of length mn-l(mn-2) between arbitrary two nodes if they both belong to the different(same) partite set. Compared with the previous works of P$_{m}$${\times}$C$_{n}$ , it also has these hamiltonian properties. Our result show that two additional wraparound links are sufficient for an m${\times}$n mesh to have such properties rather than m wraparound links. Also, M$_2$(m,n) is a spanning subgraph of many interconnection networks such as multidimensional meshes, recursive circulants, hypercubes, double loop networks, and k-ary n-cubcs. Thus, our results can be applied to discover fault-hamiltonicity of such interconnection networks. By applying hamiltonian properties of M$_2$(m,n) to 3-dimensional meshes, recursive circulants, and hypercubes, we obtain fault hamiltonian properties of these networks.

To prepare an atmospheric correction model suitable for CAS500-4 (Compact Advanced Satellite 500-4), this letter examined an atmospheric correction experiment using Sentinel-2 images having similar spectral characteristics to CAS500-4. Studies to compare the atmospheric correction results depending on different Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) data are rarely found. We conducted a comparison of Fast Line-of-sight Atmospheric Analysis of Spectral Hypercubes (FLAASH), Sen2Cor, and Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum - Vector (6SV) version 1.1 and 2.1, using Geo-Kompsat 2A (GK2A) Advanced Meteorological Imager (AMI) and Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) AOD data. In this experiment, 6SV2.1 seemed more stable than others when considering the correlation matrices and the output images for each band and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI).
This study is for the software implementation to generate atmospheric and surface reflectance products from RapidEye satellite imagery. The software is an extension based on Orfeo Toolbox (OTB) and an open-source remote sensing software including calibration modules which use an absolute atmospheric correction algorithm. In order to verify the performance of the program, the accuracy of the product was validated by a test image on the Radiometric Calibration Network (RadCalNet) site. In addition, the accuracy of the surface reflectance product generated from the KOMPSAT-3A image, the surface reflectance of Landsat Analysis Ready Data (ARD) of the same site, and near acquisition date were compared with RapidEye-based one. At the same time, a comparative study was carried out with the processing results using QUick Atmospheric Correction (QUAC) and Fast Line-of-sight Atmospheric Analysis of Spectral Hypercubes (FLAASH) tool supported by a commercial tool for the same image. Similar to the KOMPSAT-3A-based surface reflectance product, the results obtained from RapidEye Extension showed accuracy of agreement level within 5%, compared with RadCalNet data. They also showed better accuracy in all band images than the results using QUAC or FLAASH tool. As the importance of the Red-Edge band in agriculture, forests, and the environment applications is being emphasized, it is expected that the utilization of the surface reflectance products of RapidEye images produced using this program will also increase.
A simulation package has been developed as an event-driven system that can handle the hardware configuration of STC104 and algorithm proposed in the sister paper of ‘Study on High Speed Routers(II).’After various STC104 topology of meshes, torus, and hypercubes are constructed using up to 512 switches, the performance of each topology has been analyzed under different message generation rate in terms of throughputs, latency, and packet blocking time. Modified multicast algorithms for STC104 have been proposed for STC104 after U-mesh and U-torus in order to overcome the multicasting difficulty because of the point-to-point communication method found in STC104. The performance of the multicast algorithms have been analyzed over meshes and torus configuration. Throughput gets higher in the order of mesh, torus, and hypercube. Throughput difference among topology were distinctive in the zone of high message generation rate. Latency and blocking time increased in the order of hypercube, torus, and mesh. U-mesh and U-torus of software multicast showed similar throughput, however, U-mesh peformed slightly better result. These algorithms showed eight to ten times better results compared to individual message pass for 90 destination nodes. Multi-link environment also showed better performance than single-link environment because multi-link network used the extra links for communication.
The well-known Dimension Exchange Method(DEM) to quantized loads may result in difference in assigned loads to processors as large as logn~units, in the worst case, after balancing for a hypercube of size n. In order to limit the increase of the accumulation of these differences, this paper proposes a method that limits the accumulation of the difference by redistributing an unit load (odd or even) of the same type, if possible, when there is a load distribution between two processors. We reduced the maximum difference to LCEIL logn over {2} RCEIL . The result shows the simulation experiments which show about 30% improvement in speedup compare to the DEM.
In interconnection networks, a Hamiltonian path has been utilized in many applications such as the implementation of linear array and multicasting. In this paper, we consider the Hamiltonian properties of mesh networks which are used as the topology of parallel machines. If a network is strongly Hamiltonian laceable, the network has the longest path joining arbitrary two nodes. We show that a two-dimensional mesh M(m, n) is strongly Hamiltonian laceabie, if $m{\geq}4,\;n{\geq}4(m{\geq}3,\;n{\geq}3\;respectively)$, and the number of nodes is even(odd respectively). A mesh is a spanning subgraph of many interconnection networks such as tori, hypercubes, k-ary n-cubes, and recursive circulants. Thus, our result can be applied to discover the fault-hamiltonicity of such networks.
