  • 다중지점 지진입력에 대한 부유식 교량의 동적 응답해석을 수행하였다. 이 연구에서 사용한 부유식 교량은 수직방향으로는 이산 폰툰에 의해 지지되고 수평방향으로는 프리텐션 케이블에 의해 지지된다. 부유식 교량의 상부구조는 공간뼈대요소와 탄성현수케이블요소를 이용하여 모델링 하였고, 폰툰의 부가질량 및 부가감쇠는 경계요소를 이용하여 구하였다. 동수력 계수의 주파수 의존성을 고려하기 위해서 시간지연함수를 사용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 다중지점 지진입력은 교량의 양단과 케이블 앵커에서 도입하였고 응답의 시간이력을 동시가진 시와 비교하였다. 해석결과로부터 케이블 장력 등은 동시가진 시보다 다중지점 지진입력 시에서 더 큰 응답을 보임을 알 수 있다.

쌍축 컨테이너선의 조종성능 특성 연구 (Study on the Maneuvering Characteristics of a Container Ship with Twin Skegs)

  • Recently, the attention to large container ships whose size is greater than 10,000 TEU container ship has been increased due to their increasing demand. The large container ship has twin skegs because of the engine capacity and large beam-draft ratio. In this paper, the maneuvering characteristics of a container ship with twin skegs were investigated through 4DOF(four degree of freedom) HPMM(Horizontal Planar Motion Mechanism) test and computer simulation. A mathematical model for maneuvering motion with 4DOF of twin skegs system was established to include effects of roll motion on the maneuvering motion. And to obtain roll-coupling hydrodynamic coefficients of a container ship, 4DOF HPMM system of MOERI which has a roll moment measurement system was used. HPMM tests were carried out for a 12,000 TEU class container ship with twin skegs at scantling load condition. Using the hydrodynamic coefficients obtained, simulations were made to predict the maneuvering motion. Rudder forces of twin-rudders were measured at the angles of drift and rudder. The neutral rudder angles with drift angles of ship was quite different with those of single skeg ship. So other treatment of flow straightening coefficient $\gamma_R$ was used and the simulation results was compared with general simulation result. The treatment of experimental result at static drift and rudder test was very important to predict the maneuverability of a container ship with twin skegs.

생태계모텔에 의한 진해만의 빈산소수괴 저감예측 (Numerical Prediction for Reduction of Oxygen Deficient Water Mass by Ecological Model in Jinhae Bay)

  • As a basic study for establishing a countermeasure for an oxygen deficient water mass (ODW), we investigated the variation of ODW volume according to the enforced total pollution load management in Jinhae Bay. This study estimated the inflowing pollutant loads into Jinhae Bay and predicted the reduction in ODW by using a sediment-water ecological model (SWEM). The result obtained in this study are summarized as follows: 1) The daily average pollutant loads of COD, SS, TN, TP, DIN, and DIP inflowing into Jinhae bay in 2005 were estimated to be about 12,218 kg-COD/day, 91,884 kg-SS/day, 5,292 kg-TN/day, 182 kg-TP/day, 4,236 kg-DIN/day, and 130 kg-DIP/day. 2) The calculated results of the tidal current by the hydrodynamic model showed good agreement with the observed currents. Also, an ecological model well reproduced the spatial distribution of the water quality in the bay. 3) This study defined the ODWDI (ODW decreasing index) in order to estimate the ODW decreasing volume caused by a reduction in the inflowing pollutant loads. As a result, the ODWDI was predicted to be about 0.91 (COD 30% reduction), 0.87 (COD 50% reduction), 0.79 (COD 70% reduction), 0.85 (ALL 30% reduction), 0.66 (ALL 50% reduction), and 0.45 (ALL 70% reduction). The ODW volume was decreased 1.5 $\sim$ 2.6 times with a reduction in the COD, TN, and TP inflowing pollutant loads compared to a reduction in just the COD inflowing pollutant load. Therefore, it is necessary to enforce total pollution load management, not only for COD, but also fm TN and TP.

  • 본 연구에서는 부상높이를 예측할 수 있는 방법을 개발하고 연관된 변수들의 변동에 따른 부상높이를 검토함으로써 불안정한 극소 공기막 형성시 유발되는 자기헤 드와 하드 디스크간 정보손실 및 하드 디스크의 표면손상을 막고 고성능 자기기억장치 설계에 도움이 되고자 한다.

Bond slip modelling and its effect on numerical analysis of blast-induced responses of RC columns

  • Reinforced concrete (RC) structures consist of two different materials: concrete and steel bar. The stress transfer behaviour between the two materials through bond plays an important role in the load-carrying capacity of RC structures, especially when they subject to lateral load such as blast and seismic load. Therefore, bond and slip between concrete and reinforcement bar will affect the response of RC structures under such loads. However, in most numerical analyses of blast-induced structural responses, the perfect bond between concrete and steel bar is often assumed. The main reason is that it is very difficult to model bond slip in the commercial finite element software, especially in hydrodynamic codes. In the present study, a one-dimensional slide line contact model in LS-DYNA for modeling sliding of rebar along a string of concrete nodes is creatively used to model the bond slip between concrete and steel bars in RC structures. In order to model the bond slip accurately, a new approach to define the parameters of the one-dimensional slide line model from common pullout test data is proposed. Reliability and accuracy of the proposed approach and the one-dimensional slide line in modelling the bond slip between concrete and steel bar are demonstrated through comparison of numerical results and experimental data. A case study is then carried out to investigate the bond slip effect on numerical analysis of blast-induced responses of a RC column. Parametric studies are also conducted to investigate the effect of bond shear modulus, maximum elastic slip strain, and damage curve exponential coefficient on blast-induced response of RC columns. Finally, recommendations are given for modelling the bond slip in numerical analysis of blast-induced responses of RC columns.

파-흐름 공존장에서 부유사와 소류사 flux에 의한 지형변화모델 (A Bed Level Change Model(SED-FLUX) by Suspended Sediment Flux and Bed Load Flux in Wave-Current Co-existing Fields)

  • 저면경계층에서 부유사와 소류사 flux를 포함하는 실제적인 표사이동에 기초한 지형변화모델(SED-FLUX)이 개발되었다. SED-FLUX는 파랑모듈, 동수역학 모듈 및 부유사농도, 순부상 flux($Q_s$)와 소류사 flux를 계산하는 표사수송 및 확산모듈을 포함하며, 소류사 flux는 파-흐름 공존장에서 검증된 van Rijn의 TRANSPOR 프로그램에 의해 평가되어진다. 저면에서 순부상 flux $Q_s$는 표사확산모듈에서 source/sink 항으로서 평가되어지며, 수심변화모듈은 수심변화량을 계산하고 시간에 따른 bed level의 변화를 계산한다. 모델의 검증을 위하여 소류사이동의 이동한계수심은 방사성 동위원소 추적자를 사용한 현장 실험자료와 파와 흐름에 의한 표사이동한계수심에 대한 몇몇 경험식과 비교되었다. 본 모델을 파에 의한 해빈 단면변화에 적용한 결과 입사파의 특성에 따른 명확한 침식과 퇴적분포를 나타내었다. 끝으로, 이안제 배후에서 파와 해빈류에 의한 수심변화를 계산한 결과 이안제의 배후에서 초기 tombolo의 형성을 보여주었다.

상향류식 수초여과지를 이용한 영양염류처리 (Treatment of Nutrients Using the Upflow Vegetated Filter)

  • 인공습지는 다양한 유형의 하수, 폐수에 대해 높은 제거효율을 가진 것으로 알려져 있다. 상향류식 인공습지는 10여년 전부터 많이 이용되는 이공습지 공법중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 인공습지의 하나인 부들(cattail)을 perlite에 식재한 상향류식 수초여과지(upflow vegetated filter UVF)장치와 수리동역학적 입자물질 전처리장치(hydrodynamic separator, HDS)를 조합한 장치를 제작하여 온실에 설치하였고, 인공하수에 대한 영양염류제거능을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 (i) 파일겆 규모의 UVF장치의 영양염류 처리능을 분석함에 있으며 (ii) Froude 수에 의한 확대설계시 직경에 대한 처리용량을 도출함에 있다 인공하수의 처리능을 분석한 결과 평균 수면적부하율 $22.7{\pm}9.6\;m^3/m^2/day$ 범위의 운전조건에서 인공하수의 처리능을 분석한 결과 평균 제거효율은 $COD_{Mn}$, TN, TP에 대해 각각 57.5%, 40.0%. 41.5%를 나타내었다. Froude수를 이용한 무차원 상사법칙을 이용하여 UVF장치의 실규모 설계용량을 산정한 결과 UVF의 직경을 3 m로 설계할 경우 75 $m^3/day$ 범위까지 처리가 가능한 것으로 산정되었다.

하계 마산만의 부영양화 제어를 위한 생태계모델의 적용 (The application of ecosystem model for the eutrophication control in Masan Bay in summer)

  • Masan bay is one of the polluted enclosed bays, which has red tides problem and the formation of oxygen deficient water in the bottom layer. Most important factors that cause eutrophication and red tide is nutrient materials containing nitrogen and phosphorus which stem from terrestrial sources and nutrients released from sediment. Therefore, to improve of water quality, reduction of these nutrient loads should be indispensible. At this study, the three-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic and eutrophication model, which were developed by Institute for Resources and Environment of Japan, were applied to analyze the processes affecting the phytoplankton production and also to evaluate the effect of water quality improvement plans on phytoplankton production. In field sorvey, the range of concentrations of chlorophyll-a at surface area was found to be 29.17 - 212.5mg/m3, which were exceeding eutrophication criteria. The constant currents defined by integrating the simulated tidal currents over 1 tidal cycle showed the counterclockwise eddies in the southern part of Budo. The general directions of constant currents were found to be southward at surface and northward at bottom over all the bay. The eutrophication model was calibrated with the data surveyed in the field area in June, 1993. The calculated results are in fairly good agreement with values within relative error of 30%. The pollutant load from the sources such as the input from terrestrial release from the sediment was reduced by the rate of 50, 70, 90, 98% to effect of phytoplankton production. Phytoplankton production was reduced to of the 90% reduction of the input loads from terrestrial sources and 8% in 90% reduction of the load from sediment.

  • 수직방향 가속도를 받는 원통형 액체 저장탱크는 내부유체의 슬로싱(sloshing)에 의한 동하중에 의하여 구조 및 제어성능 안정성에 심각한 영향을 받을 수 있다. 더욱이 유체의 슬로싱 진동수가 제어계 혹은 탱크구조물의 고유진동수 근처에 있게되면 발사체에 큰 동하중과 모멘트를 유발하게 된다. 이와 같은 유체의 동적 효과를 억제하기 위하여 일반적으로 링형 탄성체 배플(baffle)을 채용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 배플의 개수와 내경을 변수로 설정하여 배플의 동적억제효과를 평가 및 분석하기 위한 수치해석을 수행한다. 배플내경에 따른 파라메트릭 해석과, 탱크높이 및 유체높이를 각각 균등 분할하여 설치된 배들에 대한 동억제 효과를 분석한다. 유체와 구조물 사이의 정확하고 효과적인 연계해석을 위하여 ALE(arbitrary Lagrangin-Eulerian) 수치해석 기법을 적용한다.

범프로 지지되는 다엽 포일을 갖는 가스 포일 베어링의 성능 해석 (Performance Predictions of Gas Foil Bearing with Leaf Foils Supported on Bumps)

  • Microturbomachinery (< 250 kW) using gas foil bearings can function without oil lubricants, simplify rotor-bearing systems, and demonstrate excellent rotordynamic stability at high speeds. State-of-the-art technologies generally use bump foil bearings or leaf foil bearings due to the specific advantages of each of the two types. Although these two types of bearings have been studied extensively, there are very few studies on leaf-bump foil bearings, which are a combination of the two aforementioned bearings. In this work, we illustrate a simple mathematical model of the leaf-bump foil bearing with leaf foils supported on bumps, and predict its static and dynamic performances. The analysis uses the simple elastic model for bumps that was previously developed and verified using experimental data, adds a leaf foil model, and solves the Reynolds equation for isothermal, isoviscous, and ideal gas fluid flow. The model predicts that the drag torques of the leaf-bump foil bearings are not affected significantly by static load and bearing clearance. Due to the preload effect of the leaf foils, rotor spinning, even under null static load, generates significant hydrodynamic pressure with its peak near the trailing edge of each leaf foil. A parametric study reveals that, while the journal eccentricity and minimum film thickness decrease, the drag torque, direct stiffness, and direct damping increase with increasing bump stiffness. The journal attitude angle and cross-coupled stiffness remain nearly constant with increasing bump stiffness. Interestingly, they are significantly smaller compared to the corresponding values obtained for bump foil bearings, thus, implying favorable rotor stability performance.
