셀방법과 유한요소법을 이용한 하이브리드 삼차원 브레이드 섬유강화복합재료의 역학적 성질 예측 (Prediction of Mechanical Properties of Hybrid 3D Braided Fiber Reinforced Composites Using Method of Cells and Finite Element Method)

  • A procedure of predicting mechanical properties of braided composites was developed. Mechanical behaviors of yams and resin in the composites were represented by elastoplastic constitutive relations. The mechanical properties of the hybrid braided composites were calculated using Method of cells and finite element method. Predictions of finite element method showed good agreement with experimental data but Method of cells predicted lower values than those of the experiment.

  • In RC beams strengthened with Epoxy-Bonded Fiber, debonding failure happens frequently. Moreover, through the life cycle, it is difficult to recognize clacks and deflections on the surface of concrete members strengthened with Epoxy- Bonded Fiber. For these reasons, we must always monitor the state of RC beams. The Optical FBG sensor is broadly accepted as a structural health monitoring device. The main objective of this paper is that it's possible to monitoring the debonding failure of R.C. beams strengthened with Epoxy-Bonded Fiber. For that, we fixed two Optical FBG sensors at the center of the beam and another two sensors in the end of Epoxy-Bonded Fiber, According to the comparison micro-strain between embeded sensor in concrete and that on the fiber surface, we can find the point which debonding failure occurs

서프보드 적용을 위한 하이브리드 복합재료의 열적 특성 (Thermal Characteristics of Hybrid Composites for Application to Surfboard)

  • Today, carbon fibers are used as heating elements. Carbon fibers are generally used to reinforce composite materials because they are lightweight and have a high strength and modulus. Carbon fiber reinforced composite materials are used for aerospace, automobile, and wind turbine blade applications. This work explored the possibility of using carbon fiber reinforced composite materials as self heating materials. The temperatures of the carbon fiber reinforced composites were measured. These results verified that the carbon fiber reinforced composite materials could be used as heating elements. A glass fiber was laminated using various methods. The thermal characteristics of the composites were evaluated. This confirmed that the generation of heat varied according to the lamination thicknesses of the carbon fiber and glass fiber. As the number of carbon fiber laminations increased, the heat-generating temperature increased. In contrast, as the number of glass fiber laminations increased, the amount of heat decreased. The generation of heat and ability to remain warm could be controlled by controlling the carbon fiber and glass fiber laminations.

  • Latest developments on hybrid nanostructured materials fabricated by applying self-assembly strategies on organic/inorganic nanotemplates are discussed. Within this frame, numerous functional nanomaterials including arrays of composite metal/semiconductor nanoparticles, planar waveguides and functional multilayer thin films are generated using self-assembled polymers as templates or building blocks. In particular, surface plasmon resonance based optical sensing is employed to investigate nanofabrication processes occurring in nanoscale dimention. We also suggest unprecedented pathways to hybrid supramolecular multilayer nanoarchitectures in 1D or 2D geometry via layer-by-layer self-assembly.

  • The rapid prototyping (RP) technology has been advanced for various applications such as verification of design, functional test. However, many RP machines still have low accuracy and limitation of applications for various materials. In this research, a hybrid RP system was developed to improve precision of micro parts. This hybrid system consists of deposition and material removal process by mechanical micro machining to fabricate nano composites using photo-curable polymer resin with various nano particles. In this work, using hybrid RP process with Multi-Walled Carbon Nano Tube (MWCNT) and hydroxyapatite, micro parts were fabricated. The precision of parts was evaluated based on the original CAD design, and to see the effect of nano particles on mechanical properties, tensile strength was measured. From the results of experiments, it was confirmed that the part made by hybrid process had higher precision, and the addition of nano particles improved mechanical properties.

  • The co-cured joint has been widely used in joining process of composite structures due to its simple and easy manufacturing process. In this paper, the effect of stacking sequence of the carbon epoxy prepreg, bonding length and thickness of the aluminum plate on the static tensile load capability of the co-cured aluminum-composite double lap joint were experimentally investigated. From experimental results, the optimum EA ratios with respect to stacking sequence and bonding length of the co-cured joint were obtained, which may be useful for the joining of hybrid structures.

  • Impact damages are very important in the perspective of residual strength of composite structures such as aircrafts, ships, and trains because those damages are sometimes not visible on the surface of the point of impact and the impact resistance of laminated composites is usually not so high. Thus, the impact characteristics of laminated composites should he investigated for the safety of composite structures. This paper investigates the low-velocity impact and damage detection conducted on woven carbon/epoxy laminates. Experimental results show that the type of damage is dependent on the impact energy level and the delamination area becomes larger as the impact energy increases.

  • A composite-aluminum hybrid joint of composite external fuel tank of an aircraft has been analyzed by a 3-dimensional finite element method. Curvature and contact of the joint structure were considered in the analysis. Yamada-Sun failure criteria was utilized for the failure evaluation. A finite element program ABAQUS was used for the nonlinear contact analysis. The joint structure was predicted to be safe in both the test and analysis.

  • 반도체 특성을 가지는 금속산화물이 포함된 poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)-$TiO_2$ 하이브리드 전도성 박막을 동시-기상중합법을 이용하여 성공적으로 제조하였다. PEDOT-$TiO_2$ 박막은 PEDOT 박막에 비하여 내스크래치성, 연필경도와 같은 기계적 물성과 전기/광학적 특성을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 동시-기상중합으로 제조된 하이브리드 박막은 FTS 산화제에 의한 졸-젤 반응으로 물리화학적으로 안정한 가교구조의 $TiO_2$ 층이 균일하게 형성되어 PEDOT 박막자체의 전기/광학적 손실을 수반하지 않고 기계적 물성을 높일 수 있었다. 동시-기상중합을 통하여 제조된 하이브리드 박막은 PEDOT 박막에 비하여 평탄한 표면구조를 가졌으며, 이로 인하여 상대적으로 높은 전기전도도를 가진다.

녹차-숯-목재섬유 복합보드의 동적탄성률에 미치는 구성원료의 종류 및 배합비율의 영향 (Effect of the Kind and Content of Raw Materials on Dynamic Modulus of Elasticity of Hybrid Composite Boards Composed of Green Tea, Charcoals and Wood Fiber)

  • 이 연구에서는 녹차-목재섬유 복합보드에 강도성능과 기능성을 보강한 건축내장재를 개발하기 위하여 목재섬유에 녹차와 3종류의 숯을 혼합한 녹차-숯-목재섬유 복합보드를 제작하였고, 구성원료의 종류 및 그 배합비율이 복합보드의 동적탄성률에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 또한, 동적탄성률을 이용하여 비파괴적으로 정적 휨강도성능을 예측하였다. 녹차-숯-목재섬유 복합보드의 동적탄성률은 백탄함유 복합보드에서 전체적으로 약간 우수하였으나, 숯의 종류에 따른 차이는 크지 않았다. 녹차와 숯의 배합비율이 증가할수록 복합보드의 동적탄성률의 감소하였다. $E_1$급 요소수지를 사용한 복합보드가 $E_0$급 요소수지를 사용한 그것보다 높은 동적탄성률을 나타내었으나, 양수지간의 차이는 녹차-목재섬유 복합보드에 비해 현저히 적었고, 녹차-목재섬유 복합보드보다 현저한 동적탄성률의 향상을 나타내는 것이 확인되었다. 복합보드의 동적탄성률과 정적 휨 강도성능사이에 대부분 1%의 신뢰수준의 상관관계가 확인되어, 동적탄성률로부터 정적 휨 강도성능이 예측이 가능하였다.
