Most of the construction adhesive may contain harmful component to the human body with an organic adhesive. In addition, when the adhesive caused hydroquinone, alkyl benzophenone, etc, also it raises the skin diseases to workers. Therefore, the inorganic adhesive development is necessary. This study was a study to know adhesive strength properties that adhesive using a magnesium oxide according to the addition ratio of the retarder. It has experiments to two types of magnesium oxide and type and ratio of retarder differently.
We were preferred bovine cortical bone to the others in xenobonegrafts for human and small animals, because those were not limited to supply and have sufficient size for bone transplantation. The strength (ST) and stiffness (SF) of cortical bone in bone grafts were very important. The strength and stiffness of cortical bone were much difference according to position of long bone in bovine limbs because which were biomechanical different to bear body weight. Therefore, we determinated by three bending point test methods the strength and stiffness of cortical bone which were collected in diaphysis of humerus, radius, femur and tibia of bovine. In the results, the strengths and stiffness among these were highest in radius by ST: 253.84$\pm$40.80 MPa, SF: 7.89$\pm$1.91 Gpa and lowest in humerus by ST: 185.69$\pm$28.54 MPa, SF: 6.21$\pm$1.22 Gpa.
Insulation layers in XLPE power cables may have some patterns generated in the manufacturing process. They are called 'flow patterns' and show flow history of molten polyethylene between inner and outer semiconducting layers. Flow patterns are even seen with naked human eyes and suspected to be inhomogeniety of insulation, weakening insulation performance. Investigated in this paper is electrical treeing resistance and ac breakdown strength according to flow patterns. Experiments of electrical treeing and ac breakdown strength by means of ramp tests were conducted using newly developed electrode system with point-to-plane structure and sphere-to-sphere structure, respectively. All results were analyzed with the application of statistics, showing little differences.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of multiple application of all-in-one dentin adhesive system on microtensile bond strength using confocal laser scanning microscope and microtensile bond strength test. The dentin surface of human molars, sectioned to remove the enamel from the occlusal surface were prepared. In group I, Scotchbond Multipurpose(SM, 3M ESPE) was applied by manufature's recommended. In group II, after the all-in-one adhesive, Adper Prompt L-Pop was applied for 15s, and light cured for 10s, the second coat was re-applied and light-cured.(omitted)
Purpose: The dental medicine has been preparing the custom-made service to meet the requirements of the aged society, while the average span of human life is growing more and more, and the full denture is a representative of them. It is causing great concern in these atmosphere of society, and demands for it are expected to increase. The full denture is a uniform combination of denture base and artificial teeth using polymerization, and is most influenced by change of physical properties of denture base and bonding strength with artificial teeth. Methods: In this study, the samples were made of composite resin combined with occlusion surface of artificial teeth undergone mechanically surface treatment to evaluate the bonding strength of composite resin for repairing artificial teeth. The resin teeth used in this study are 3 types artificial teeth. And 3 types of composite resins are used that are various polymerization resin. The shear strength of composite resins made in various polymerization ways to resin teeth was measured to evaluate bonding strength of artificial teeth to each composite resins. Results: Surface hardness's results on Trubyte Biotone(74.58Hv), Biotone IPN(70.06Hv), Endura Posterio (64.48Hv). Results of bonding strength of artificial teeth to composite resins on ES samples(8.73Mpa), IF(4.37Mpa) and IZ(3.84Mpa). Conclusion: 1. The Trubyte Biotone(74.58Hv) was first, followed by Biotone IPN(70.06Hv), and Endura Posterio(64.48Hv) in surface hardness's results of worn sides using hardness test. 2. The ES samples(8.73Mpa) showed significant differences with IF(4.37Mpa) and IZ(3.84Mpa) (p<0.05), but not other samples(p>0.05) in results of bonding strength of artificial teeth to composite resins.
The safety of on-going ships is one of important concerns in the view of environment and human life. The ship in bad condition is likely to be subjected to accidental loads such as collision. Once she has one or several minor collision damages in the form of circle or ellipse, her ultimate strength under compression or tension load will be reduced. Here, it is important to evaluate the reduction ratio of ultimate strength due to the damage from safety point of view. The problem of strength reduction of a plate with cutout such as opening hole has been treated by many researchers. As a result, a closed-form formula on the reduction of ultimate strength of a plate considering the effect of several forms of cutout was suggested. However, the structure of ships is composed of a plate and a stiffener so-called a stiffened plate, and it is likely to be damaged at a plate and stiffeners together in collision. This paper is to investigate the effect of minor collision damage on ultimate strength of a stiffened plate by using numerical analysis. For this study, the shape of minor collision damage of a stiffened plate was made by using contact algorithm. The deformed shape was used as an initial shape for ultimate stress analysis. Then, a series of nonlinear FE analysis was conducted to investigate the reduction effects of ultimate strength of the stiffened plate. The boundary condition was applied as simply supported at all boundaries, and the tripping of stiffener among failure mode under compression loading was neglected. These results were settled in the form of reduction ratio between ultimate of original intact stiffened plate and that of damaged stiffened plate.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of the composite resin bonded on the bleached enamel surface according to its surface treatment. 90 extracted human premolars were divided into six groups. : enamel unbleached (control group) and enamel bleached with 15% carbamide peroxide for 2 weeks (experimental groups: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5). The surface of bleached enamel in all experimental groups was treated by following manners. Experimental group 1 : catalase immersion for 3 mimutes. Experimental group 2 : catalase immersion for 15 mimutes. Experimental group 3 : artificial saliva immersion for 1 hour. Experimental group 4 : artificial saliva immersion for 48 hours. Experimental group 5: surface reduction of the bleached enamel about 0.5mm-1mm with superfine diamond bur. Composite resin molds(3mm height, 3mm diameter) were bonded to the untreated enamel and treated. The shear bond strengths of composite resin bonded to enamel of each specimen were tested with universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 5mm/min and 500Kg in full scale and analyzed statistically. The following results were obtained : 1. Control group had the highest shear bond strength with $19.92{\pm}5.14$ MPa and experimental group 5 had the lowest shear bond strength with $11.15{\pm}4.23$ MPa. 2. Control group showed significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 1(P<0.05). 3. Control group showed significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 5(P<0.05). 4. Experimental group 4 showed significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 5(P<0.05). 5. Experimental group 3 showed no significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 4(P<0.05).
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of dentin pretreatment with Dentin Conditioner, Ultra-Etch, conditioner of Fuji Plus cement on the shear bond strength of resin-reinforced glass ionomer cements to dentin and analyze the fractured surfaces. To evaluate the bond strength, the extracted human teeth which had uniform area of exposed dentin were cemented with conventional glass ionomer cement, 3M $RelyX^{TM}$ Luting (Vitremer luting cement), Fuji Plus cement after dentin pretreatment. The shear bond strength was measured using the Universal testing machine (Instron Co., USA) with a crosshead speed of 1mm/m. The effect of dentin pretreatment was evaluated by observing pretreated dentin surfaces under the scanning electron microscope, measuring the shear bond strength and observing the fractured surfaces under the scanning electron microscope. The results were as follows : On the SEM observation of surface morphology, the specimens treated with Dentin Conditioner. Ultra-Etch and conditioner of Fuji Plus cement were removed the smear layer and funneled dentinal tubules in dentin surfaces. In $RelyX^{TM}$ Luting cement group, shear bond strength of pretreated group was significantly higher than control group. In Fuji Plus cement group and Fuji I group, regardless of the type of pretreatment agents, there was tendency of increase in the shear bond strength. On the SEM observation of fractured surfaces, as the shear bond strength increase, it were shown thicker cement layers and were not shown dentinal tubules According to these results. it were shown that dentin pretreatment have much effect on bonding states.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the etching effects and bond strength of total etching and self-etching adhesive system on unground enamel using scanning electron microscopy and microtensile bond strength test. The buccal coronal unground enamel from human extracted molars were prepared using low-speed diamond saw. Scotchbond Multi-Purpose (group SM).
