SDNN, SDSD were significant different in HRV between before and after Autogenic Training application in Soeumin. Mean HRV, SDNN, SDSD were significant different in HRV between before and after Autogenic Training application in Taeeumin. Conclusion : The results suggest that Autogenic Training application have shown anti-stress effects. Autogenic Training application to Soeumin and Taeeumin have shown more anti -stress effects than application to Soyangin.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis is a convenient tool to assess Myocardial Ischemia (MI). The analysis methods of HRV can be divided into time domain and frequency domain analysis. This paper uses wavelet transform as frequency domain analysis in contrast to time domain analysis in short term HRV analysis. ST-T and normal episodes are collected from the European ST-T database and the MIT-BIH Normal Sinus Rhythm database, respectively. An episode can be divided into several segments, each of which is formed by 32 successive RR intervals. Eighteen HRV features are extracted from each segment by the time and frequency domain analysis. To diagnose MI, the Neural Network with Weighted Fuzzy Membership functions (NEWFM) is used with the extracted 18 features. The results show that the average accuracy from time and frequency domain features is 75.29% and 80.93%, respectively.

This paper was performed for the older people with cognitive abilities deteriorated, and its effectiveness is analyzed through measurement value of HRV. This paper was investigated the major acupressure that has been used frequently to people who has to decrease cognitive ability in the old documents. We measure the several variation by using a measuring instrument of HRV after performing an operation of acupuncture and moxibustion for elderly degraded cognitive ability. As compared with the measured values, the moxibustion and acupuncture to changes in the autonomic nervous system, heart rate and how it affects the efficacy was measured. As a result of research, acupuncture and moxibustion could be confirmed through the HRV analysis that there is a positive effect on the improvement of cognitive skills.

The whole-body massager among healthcare devices is under being popularized in a large scale as times goes by. It is critical to measure, analyze and judge the stress relaxsation trend from HRV signal using PPG in case of massager operation with such relaxsation device for removing stress of human being. There may be artifact in HRV measured signal because the measured object is under shaking with that massager in this case. We present the methodology to remove such artifact from those measured HRV signal, and then measure and analyze the desired HRV successfully in this paper.
Objectives: Human rhinoviruses (HRVs) are the major cause of the common cold. Currently there is no registered, clinically effective, antiviral chemotherapeutic agent to treat diseases caused by HRVs. In this study, the antiviral activity of dexamethasone (DEX) against HRV1B was examined. Methods: The anti-HRV1B activity of DEX was assessed by sulforhodamine B assay in HeLa cells, and by RT-PCR in the lungs of HRV1B-infected mice. Histological evaluation of HRV1B-infected lungs was performed and a histological score was given. Anti-HRV1B activity of DEX via the glucocorticoid receptor (GCR)-dependent autophagy activation was assessed by blocking with chloroquine diphosphate salt or bafilomycin A1 treatment. Results: In HRV1B-infected HeLa cells, treatment with DEX in a dose-dependent manner, resulted in a cell viability of > 70% indicating that HRV1B viral replication was reduced by DEX treatment. HRV1B infected mice treated with DEX, had evidence of reduced inflammation and a moderate histological score. DEX treatment showed antiviral activity against HRV1B via GCR-dependent autophagy activation. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that DEX treatment showed anti-HRV1B activity via GCR-dependent autophagy activation in HeLa cells and HRV1B infected mice. Further investigation assessing the development of topical formulations may enable the development of improved DEX effectiveness.
The purpose of this study is looking for deviation of change in HRV caused of posture. Total 20 adults were measured for 40 minutes(10 minutes rest section and 30 minutes analysis section) when volunteers were sitting and lying down. Other factors which can change in HRV were controlled during measurement. The analysis section were divided by total 6 stages(each by 5 minutes), and compared and analyzed between sitting and lying down groups. It was also compared and analyzed stages in each group. In the result, there was difference at stage 5($20{\sim}25$ minutes interval), but no difference in the total data. The results of each stage in the group, lying down had difference. Therefore, sitting is more stable measurement for HRV study when subjects was waking over 15 minutes.
In this study, we attempt to design a real-time autonomic nervous system(ANS) evaluation system usable during exercise using heart instantaneous frequency(HIF). Although heart rate variability(HRV) is considered to be a representative signal widely used ANS evaluation system, the R-peak detection process must be included to obtain an HRV signal, which involves a high sampling frequency and interpolation process. In particular, it cannot accurately evaluate the ANS using HRV signals during exercise because it is difficult to detect the R-peak of electrocardiogram(ECG) signals with exposure to many noises during exercise. Therefore, in this study, we develop the ground for a system that can analyze an ANS in real-time by using the HIF signal circumventing the problem of the HRV signal during exercise. First, we compare the HRV and HIF signals in order to prove that the HIF signal is more efficient for ANS analysis than HRV signals during exercise. Further, we performed real-time ANS analysis using HIF and confirmed that the exerciser's ANS variation experiences massive surges at points of acceleration and deceleration of the treadmill(similar to HRV).
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analysis on the Stress Response Inventory(SRI) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) of some dysmenorrhoea patients. Methods: We studied 34 patients visiting OO Medical Center from May 2007 to November 2007. And the severity of dysmenorrhoea were measured by Multidimensional Verbal Rating scale(MVRS), Verbal Rating scale (VRS) and Visual Analog Scale(VAS). And SRI and HRV were recorded. Results: According to comparison of Means of HRV values among the groups, most of them were not statistically significant. But the comparison of Means of SRI, the points of almost all values were kept by order of Severe-Moderate-Mild-None group. Most of them are statistically significant. According to correlation analysis between dysmenorrhoea scale and HRV, most of them were not statistically significant. But the correlation analysis between HRV and SRI, there were some correlations. And the correlation analysis between SRI and dysmenorrhoea scale, most of them were statistically significant. According to General Linear Model of Dysmenorrhoea $scale^{\ast}SRI$ and HRV. Dysmenorrhoea scale and SRI influenced values of HRV. But it is hard to conclude the relationship between Dysmenorrhoea $scale^{\ast}SRI$ and HRV Conclusion: The results suggest that stress is related to dysmenorrhoea. But the relation between dysmenorrhoea and HRV was hard to conclude. We need more study for settling the relation between dysmenorrhoea and HRV.
Objectives : The authors tried to investigate the characteristics of Heart Rate Variability(HRV) among the subjects with metabolic syndrome for testing the possibility of clinical application of HRV in evaluating metabolic syndrome. Methods : We examined the difference of the means of HRV between 122 subjects of metabolic syndrome and 1057 healthy controls using T-test, and the change of means in HRV according to increasing risk factors of metabolic syndrome. Using multiple regression analysis, we examined the association of HRV with the risk factors of metabolic syndrome. Results : The HRV indices including SDNN(Standard Deviation of all normal NN intervals), RMSSD(the square Root of the Mean Squared Differences of successive all normal NN interval), TP(Total Power), LF(Low Freuency), and HF(High Frequency) were significantly lower in the metabolic syndrome group than in the normal control group, and the means of all HRV indices except LF/HF were decreased consistently according to increasing risk factors of metabolic syndrome. The fasting glucose, triglyceride, and waist circumference were dependent factors that contributed significantly to the change of HRV. Conclusion : These findings suggest metabolic syndrome adversely affects cardiac autonomic system and HRV could be a useful method for evaluating metabolic syndrome.
This research analyzed the HRV signals by using wavelet transform to observe the activities of autonomous nervous system in a sleep state. This research also restructured the HRV signals from electrocardiogram and by using coefficient which was obtained through wavelet transform, analyzed the signals by frequency bandwidth. Then compared the analyzed results with existing frequency analyzing method using AR model techniques. The suggested wavelet coefficient from power spectrum component in the study shows a similar tendency with the results from FFT or AR model technique. Therefore, it can be found that power spectrum analyzing method by wavelet coefficient is a useful as a tool for analyzing autonomous nervous system activities using HRV signals. Since the suggested method able to clearly depict the progression of change in time zone, which was once impossible with the existing methods, it is presumed that it will be useful in other physiological signals.
