가구와 가전제품의 재활용에 관한 연구 (Study on the Recycling of Furniture and Household Electric Appliances)

  • The purposes of the study were: 1) to classify and describe causes of producing wasted furniture and household electric appliances by consumers, 2) to identify the influence of variables on causes of producing wasted furniture and household electric appliances and experience of consumer's recycling behaviors, and 3) to introduce the ways of activating recycling in wasted furniture and household electric appliances which suggested by consumers. 1,132 housewives living in Seoul, Sungnam, and Choongjoo were used as a final sample of the analysis. Data were collected using a self-administered survey. The result of the study indicated the major variable which affects producing wasted furniture and household electric appliances was the perception of recycling. Also, the level of consumers' recycling behavior in furniture and household electric appliances was very low and age and housing type were the major variables which affect consumers' recycling behavior. Finally, the implications and recommendations for consumers, enterprises, and society were suggested.

  • This paper deals with the effective protection method for the household electric appliances against lightning surges invading from the Power lines. Direct or induced lightning is the main cause of the breakdown of household electric appliance. The most effective protection method is to install SPDs(surge protective devices) at household electric appliances. If SPDs were not installed at most household electric appliances, it is necessary to install SPDs on the mains. Therefore the propagation aspect and protection methods of lighting surges coming into household electric appliances through the mains was experimentally investigated. The in actual-sized test circuits results of protection method for 8 household electric appliances including computer monitors and TV set could be summarized as follows: The breakdown characteristics of household electric appliances from lightning surges were significantly changed with the their input impedance. Namely, the types of input impedance are classified into infinite, resistive or inductive impedances. Especially, the monitor for computer with inductive input impedance from lightning surges was relatively weak against lightning surges. It was confirmed that the self inductance of branch circuits on the mains have protection effect for household electric appliances against lightning surges invading from the power lines. Also the varistors installed at cabinet panel or circuit-breaker were more effective than multi-tap outlet with varistors. When installed varistors in cabinet panel and multi-tap outlet together, the surge protection effect is much more excellent in technical and economical aspects.

Home Energy Management System for Interconnecting and Sensing of Electric Appliances

  • Due to the variety of household electric devices and different power consumption habits of consumers at present, general home energy management (HEM) systems suffer from the lack of dynamic identification of various household appliances and a unidirectional information display. This study presented a set of intelligent interconnection network systems for electric appliances, which can measure the power consumption of household appliances through a current sensing device based on OSGi platform. The system establishes the characteristics and categories of related electric appliances, and searches the corresponding cluster data and eliminates noise for recognition functionality and error detection mechanism of electric appliances by applying the clustering algorithm. The system also integrates household appliance control network services so as to control them according to users' power consumption plans or through mobile devices, thus realizing a bidirectional monitoring service. When the system detects an abnormal operating state, it can automatically shut off electric appliances to avoid accidents. In practical tests, the system reached a recognition rate of 95%, and could successfully control general household appliances through the ZigBee network.

가정용 식생활기구 보유실태와 활용정도 (The Supply of Household Appliances and their Use)

  • This study investigates the over time changes in the ownership of kitchen items, electric or non-electric, and examines the patterns of the usage and ownership of the items after categorizing them as followings: cooking appliances, kitchen appliances directly related to storing food, food processing kitchen items, and dining items. The research findings are that refrigerators and rice cookers, among the electric items, had spread to almost every households by 1990s and at the same time about thirty non-electric kitchen items had been used. Refrigerators had been used by more than 100% of the households by 2000, and on top of that, twenty or more electric kitchen items such as Kimchi fridge and freezer had been used. In the case of non-electric kitchen items, approximately 50 to 70 sorts of them are used, which indicates an increase than in 1990s. Rice cookers and gas stoves, among cooking appliances, are recognized as the essential item, and they are actually frequently-used items. As to kitchen appliances related to storing food, each household owns one of the refrigerators and Kimchi fridges, and again they are both the frequently-used. As far as food processing kitchen items are concerned, each household owns at least one or more blenders and hand blenders, six or more knives, and five or more pans. Each household owns seventeen or more rice bowls and soup bowls and twenty-four or more plates. Small plates are more frequently used than large ones.

인터넷상의 소비자정보 만족도 - 가전제품정보를 중심으로 - (Consumer Information Satisfaction on Internet -Focused on the Information of Household Electric Appliances)

  • This study is to improve reasonable consumption as a consumer and interests of the consumers through analyzing the consumer satisfaction degree on product information provided on Internet, and to present basic information to contribute in protecting consumers through preventing harms on them due to insufficient or unnecessary information. The major results of the study are summarized as follows: 1) The degree of understanding characteristics in information focus on household electric appliances provided for the consumers on Internet found to be 'average'. 2) In the degree of significancy for information of the household electric appliances, consumers recognized information regarding services most important. 3) The overall satisfaction degree on information regarding household electric appliances on Internet was evaluated through giving a weight to the degree of significancy for the products and adding the satisfaction degree by information contents, and it was found to be 'average'.

Multi-Objective Optimization Model of Electricity Behavior Considering the Combination of Household Appliance Correlation and Comfort

  • With the wide application of intelligent household appliances, the optimization of electricity behavior has become an important component of home-based intelligent electricity. In this study, a multi-objective optimization model in an intelligent electricity environment is proposed based on economy and comfort. Firstly, the domestic consumer's load characteristics are analyzed, and the operating constraints of interruptible and transferable electrical appliances are defined. Then, constraints such as household electrical load, electricity habits, the correlation minimization electricity expenditure model of household appliances, and the comfort model of electricity use are integrated into multi-objective optimization. Finally, a continuous search multi-objective particle swarm algorithm is proposed to solve the optimization problem. The analysis of the corresponding example shows that the multi-objective optimization model can effectively reduce electricity costs and improve electricity use comfort.

가전제품의 하역 중 낙하충격에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dropping Shock of Household Electric Appliances during Materials Handling)

  • This study was carried out to investigate dropping shock of household electric appliances during materials handling. Microwave oven($18{\ell}$), TV(16") and washing machine(6.2kg) were singled out as the study items. From the results of dropping test by KS A 1026(General Rules of Performance Testing for Packaged Freights), relative equations were gained as follow : y=0.0863x+10.032 for microwave oven, y=0.136x+7.85 for TV and y=0.214x+5.8 for washing machine (where y is G-factor and x is Dropping height). The maximum values of dropping shock during materials handling were measured to be $11{\sim}14G$ for microwave oven, $12{\sim}15G$ for TV and $10{\sim}12G$ for washing machine. The maximum shocks of microwave oven, TV and washing machine during materials handling were corresponding to dropping shocks of dropping height 45.98cm, 52.57cm and 28.97cm by KS A 1026.

  • This paper reports the measurement results of the harmonic currents in the household and office appliances. The harmonic currents of 10 items are measured up to 20th order using the no distortion source. These results can be used as a raw data in determining the harmonic current limit in the household and office appliances.

  • 전기밥솥, 청소기, 선풍기 등 폐소형가전 기기들은 종류 및 품목에 따라 내부 구성 물질과 플라스틱 재질이 다양하기 때문에 해체 및 선별에 특정기술의 적용이 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 폐소형가전 제품 중 재활용 업체에서 비교적 취급양이 많은 품목 중, 전기밥솥 등 5개 품목을 대상으로 수작업으로 해체 후 물리적 성상을 분석하였다. 또한, 폐소형가전은 대형가전제품에 비해 플라스틱의 함량이 비교적 높을 뿐만 아니라 재질이 다양하여, 재질별 선별이 어려워 플라스틱의 재활용에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 특히, 폐소형가전의 경우 검정색 플라스틱의 비율이 상대적으로 높아 재질 선별이 제대로 이루어지지 못하여, 혼합물의 형태로 저급 재활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 중액선별, 정전선별 그리고 근적외선 선별 등 기존의 선별 기술을 적용하여 검정색 플라스틱에 대한 재질 선별 가능성을 검토하였으며, 각 기술에 대한 문제점 및 제한사항을 제시하였다.

가정용 전자기기의 잠재 상쇄 공급량 추정 (Estimation of Potential Supply of Offset from Household Electric Appliances)

  • 본 연구에서는 2015년부터 시행된 온실가스 배출권 거래제도에 맞추어 상쇄(offset)제도의 구체적인 설계가 필요한 시점에서, 가정부문의 고효율 전자기기의 보급을 통해 확보할 수 있는 잠재 상쇄 공급량을 추정하였다. 분석대상 품목은 TV, 세탁기, 선풍기, 냉장고, 에어컨 등 다섯 가지 가전기기이며, 자기회귀시차분포모형(ARDL)을 통해 2016년부터 2022년까지의 고효율 가전기기의 보급대수를 추정하고, 효율 개선을 통한 전기 절감량과 이에 따른 탄소 환산율을 통해 최종적으로 잠재 상쇄 공급량을 도출하였다. 고효율 가전기기의 에너지 절감률을 각각 10%와 20%로 가정했을 때 2022년에 누적된 탄소 저감량은 $361,899CO_2t$$723,797CO_2t$으로 나타났으며, 에너지 절감량이 큰 순서로는 에어컨, 냉장고, TV, 세탁기, 선풍기 순으로 나타났다. 또한 에너지 소비효율 1등급 가전기기의 에너지 절감률이 20%라고 가정했을 때, 누적 탄소 저감량이 2015년에 비해 2022년에 약 316% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.
