베어링강의 고온변형특성과 열간 단조조건에 관한 연구 (Hot Deformation Behavior of Bearing Steels and Their Optimal Hot Forging Conditions)

  • In this paper the stress-strain curves of bearing steels at hot working conditions are obtained by compression test with a computer controlled servo-hydraulic Gleeble 3800 testing machine and elongations and reductions of area of the bearing steels are obtained by tensile test with a computer controlled servo-hydraulic Gleeble 1500 testing machine. These tests have been focused to obtain the flow stress data and optimal hot forging conditions under various conditions of strain rates and temperatures. The strain rate sensitivity exponent and reduction of area of the materials are evaluated. Experimental results are resented for various conditions of temperatures and strain rates.

  • Nowadays, It is required human body-friendly, good mechanical properties, and economical efficiency material, simultaneously. The material to meet above requirement condition rear up high nitrogen stainless steel(HNS). However, HNS have a lot of problem such as poor workability, hot crack sensitivity. So, It is needed the condition of plastic working to overcome above many problem. In this study, VIM ingot with 100kg was made by pressurized vacuum induction melting. And then, The slab perform for hot rolling was prepared by open-die forging. Hot rolling process was performed by computer simulation according to change of height reduction, rolling temperature, heating numbers, rolling pass and so forth. The results of analysis were investigated between analysis and lab-scale rolling product.

  • This paper is concerned with transfer process on hot forging of bearing hub. Workers on hot forging have difficulty in working by high temperature and weight workpiece. And In conventional got forging of bearing hub, the material wasted to the flash accounts approximately 10% of the original workpiece. It is need manufacture automation and reduce the cost of forged products. Surface treatment of die and lubricant are investigated from experiment and FE-simulation for analysis of forming simulation. In order to hot forging process design considered flash thickness and blocker geometry and initial temperature of die and billet. This transfer process gave comparatively good results compared with actual products.

  • 한국원자력연구소에서는 현재 사용후핵연료의 효율적인 관리를 위한 차세대관리 종합공정 (ACP)의 실증용 핫셀을 건설중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 핫셀 내부의 리어도어(rear door)와 만나는 부분에 설치될 작업대(working table)의 구조적 안전성을 유한요소 해석을 통해 평가하였다. 이 부분의 작업대는 물품들의 반출입을 위해 개폐식으로 설계되었기 때문에 다른 작업대에 비해 지지 부위가 적으므로 구조적 안전성 평가가 반드시 필요하다. 핫셀을 가동할 때 작업대 위에 공정 장치들을 반입하거나 핫셀 크레인을 사용해 적재하게 되므로, 안전성 평가를 위해 정적 구조 해석과 동적 구조 해석들 함께 수행하였다. 해석 결과를 통해 두 경우 모두에 대해 개폐형 작업대가 구조적으로 충분히 안전함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 50 cm 낙하 충돌의 경우에도 작업대의 파손이나 붕괴가 일어나지 않고 안전성이 유지되었다.

단조용 니켈기지 초내열합금의 조직예측기술 (Microstructure Prediction Technology of Ni-Base Superalloy)

  • As a class of materials, Ni-base superalloys are among the most difficult metal alloys to forge together with refractory metals and cobalt-base superalloys. The mechanical properties of Ni-base superalloys depend very much on grain size and the strengthening phases, $\gamma$' ($Ni_3$(Al,Ti)-type) and $\gamma$".($Ni_3$Nb-type). Especially, the control of grain size remains as a sole means for the control of mechanical properties. The grain size and distribution changes of the wrought superalloys during hot working and heat treatment are mainly controlled by the recrystallization and grain growth behaviors. In this presentation, prediction technology of grain size through the computer-aided process design, and numerical modeling for predicting the microstructure evolution of Ni-base superalloy during hot working were introduced. Also, some case studies were dealt with actual forming processes of Ni-base superalloys.

  • Evaluation of microstructural changes is important for process control during open die forging of heavy ingots. The control of forging parameters, such as shape of the dies, reduction, temperature and sequence of passes, is to maximize the forging effects and to minimize inhomogeneities of mechanical properties. The hot working die steel is produced by using the multistage open die forging. The structure is altered during forging by subsequent Precesses of plastic deformation, recrystallization and grain growth. A numerical analysis using an rigid visco-plastic finite element model was performed to predict microstructural evolution of hot working die steel.

  • Quantitative evaluation of the tribological conditions at the tool-workpiece interface in metal forming is usually accomplished by the ring-compressinon. test This paper describes an experimental investigation into shear friction factor under cold and hot forming conditions according to materials and lubricants using the ring compression test. Six different materials and five different lubricants were applied in the experiments. calibration curves with the friction coefficient were obtained using FEM analysis and verified by the verified by the experimental results. The influence of materials and lubricants level on friction are discussed. In the ring compression test the shear friction factor has a different from steels and aluminum water base graphite lubricants on cold working conditions and hot working conditions.

보텍스 튜브를 이용한 비압축성 유체의 에너지 분리 (Energy Separation of Incompressible Fluid Using Vortex Tube)

  • The vortex tube is a simple device which separates fluid stream into a cold stream and a hot stream without any chemical reaction. The process of energy separation in the vortex tube has caused a great deal of interest. Although many studies on energy separation in the vortex tube using air as the working fluid have been made so far, few experimental studies treated energy separation for incompressible fluid. So, an experimental study for the energy separation in the vortex tube using the water which is essentially an incompressible fluid is presented. When working fluid is the water, the best geometric values of nozzle area ratio and number of nozzle holes are 0.155, 6 respectively. These geometric values are showed by the similar values which are presented by compressible fluid as working fluid. But hot side mass fraction of which maximum temperature drop is happened are different from compressible fluid.
