내장형 리눅스 기반 RAID 시스템의 구현 및 성능평가 (An Implementation and Performance Evaluation of a RAID System Based on Embedded Linux)

  • 본 논문에서는 내장형 리눅스를 이용한 RAID 시스템의 하드웨어 구현 방법을 제시하고 성능을 측정하여 본 시스템의 장단점을 제시한다. 파이버 채널 디스크와 호스트와의정합을 위하여 세 개리 파이버 채널 제어기를 포함하는 하드웨어를 설계 제작하였으며, 이하드웨어 위에 내장형 리눅스를 이식하고 RAID 소프트웨어를 구현하였다. RAID 기능을 위하여 SCSI 목표 모드 디바이스 드라이버와 목표 모드 SCSI 모듈을 구현하여 호스트 컴퓨터에게 SCSI 블록 디바이스를 제공한다. 또한 RAID의 기능을 위하여 리눅스의 Multi-device 모듈을 사용하였고, 높은 성능을 제공하기 위하여 Multi-device 모듈과 목표 모드 SCSI 모듈의 사이에서 연동하는 데이터 캐쉬 모듈을 구현하였다. 리눅스의 RAID 5 모듈을 수정하여, 읽기 성능을 대폭 향상시켰다. 벤치마크는 새로운 RAID 5모듈이 기존의방법보다 전체적인 성능에서 우수함을 보여준다.

대용량 공유디스크 파일 시스템에 적합한 메타 데이타 구조의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Metadata Structure for Large-Scale Shared-Disk File System)

  • 인터넷의 확산으로 대용량 멀티미디어 데이타에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있으며 이를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 스토리지에 대찬 연구가 진행되고 있다. 기하급수적으로 늘어나는 스토리지에 대한 요구를 해결하기 위해서 제시된 방법중의 하나가 공유디스크 환경을 제공하는 SAN(Storage Area Network)이다. SAN은 fibre channel이라는 고속 전송망을 이용해서 고속의 저장장치를 위한 네트워크를 구성한 것이다. 하지만 저장장치 네트워크의 구성만으로는 스토리지에 대한 요구는 해결하였지만 이를 사용자에게 제공하기 위한 공유디스크 환경에서의 파일시스템에 대한 연구는 미진하다. 특히 기존에 제시된 로컬 파일 시스템, 분산 파일시스템에서는 공유디스크환경에 적합하지 않으며 대용량 스토리지에 적합한 메타 데이터 구조 측면에서의 설계는 부족한 실정이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 공유디스크 환경에 적합한 메타 데이타 구조를 설계 및 구현하여 대용량 스토리지에 적합한 공유디스크 파일 시스템을 제시한다. 구현한 공유디스크 파일시스템은 SAN fabric에 참여하는 호스트들 사이의 균형적인 할당 블록을 주기 위한 파일시스템 레이아웃과 비트맵 관리기법, 대용량 파일을 위한 효율적인 익스텐트 기반의 SEMI FLAT구조를 제안하였으면, 대용량의 디렉토리를 사용할 수 있게 확장해싱을 이용한 2단계 디랙토리 관리 구조를 설계 및 구현하였다. 또한 리눅스 커널 상에서 제시한 메타 데이타 구조에 대한 구현에 필요한 구조 정보와 알고리즘을 제시하였으며. 성능의 우수성을 보이기 위해 리눅스 환경의 대표적인 파일 시스템인 EXT2, 공유디스크 환경의 GFS와의 성능을 파일 생성, 디렉토리 생성, I/O횟수 측면에서 비교하였다.

  • 내장형 시스템의요구사항이 복잡해짐에 따라 내장형 소프트웨어의 신뢰도를분석하기 위한 도구가 요구되고있다. 소프트웨어의 신뢰도를 분석하는 방법으로는 확률적 모델링을 이용하는데, 다수의 디바이스를 제어하는 내장형 소프트웨어에 적용하기 위해서는 내장형 소프트웨어에 특성화 시킬 필요가 있다. 또한, 기존의 신뢰도 분석 도구는 각 상태간의 전이 확률을 다른 방법으로 측정해야 하고, 한 번 작성한 모델에 대해 재사용을 고려하고 있지 않는다. 본 논문은 내장형 소프트웨어의 신뢰도를 분석하기 위해 내장형 소프트웨어 마르코프 체인 모델과 단위 테스팅 도구를 이용한 신뢰도 분석 도구를 제안한다. 내장형 소프트웨어 마르코프 체인 모델은 신뢰도 분석 방법으로 많이 사용되고 있는 마르코프 체인 모델을 내장형 소프트웨어에 특성화 시킨 모델이다. 그리고 단위 테스팅 도구는 내장형 소프트웨어의 개발환경에 적합한 호스트/타겟 구조를 가지고 있다. 제안하는 도구는 신뢰도 분석을 위해 단위간 전이 확률을 단위 테스트 결과로부터 자동으로 측정하여 기존의 도구보다 용이하게 신뢰도를 분석할 수 있다. 그리고 소프트웨어 모델을 XML 기반의 문서로 표현하여 단위 테스팅 도구가 업데이트 시킨 테스트 결과를 바로 적용할수 있고, 웹 기반의 인터페이스와 SVN 저장소를 이용하여 다수의 개발자가 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 예제를 이용하여 신뢰도의 분석을 보이고 신뢰도 측정에 유용함을 보인다.

스트리밍 프레임워크와 멀티미디어 데이타베이스와의 연동기법 (An Interconnection Method for Streaming Framework and Multimedia Database)

  • 본 논문은 실시간 멀티미디어 스트리밍 프레임워크과 멀티미디어 데이타베이스의 연동 모듈인 데이타베이스 커넥터를 소개한다. 스트리밍 시스템과 멀티미디어 데이타베이스를 연동하는 경우 스트리밍 중에도 재생중인 미디어에 관련된 정보들을 데이타베이스로부터 검색 및 재결합이 가능하여 다양한 멀티 미디어 데이타베이스 서비스를 제공받을 수 있다. 그러나, 현재 스트리밍 시스템과 데이타베이스와의 연동은 파일 시스템으로 구현되거나, 파일형태의 스트리밍 데이타와 컨텐츠를 다루는 메타 데이타가 분리되어 관리되는 관계형 데이타베이스에 국한되어 있어 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기에 부적합하다. 이런 제약점을 보완하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 스트리밍 프레임워크와 멀티미디어 데이타베이스가 동일한 호스트에 존재한다는 가정 하에 작동되는 IPC 기반의 데이타 베이스 커넥터를 제안한다. 제안된 데이터베이스 커넥터는 데이타베이스 기능을 사용할 수 있도록 읽기, 쓰기, 찾기, 재생 트랜잭션과, 트랜잭션 처리를 위한 인터페이스를 정의하였고, IPC 인터페이스 모듈을 플러그인 형태로 구현하여 본 논문에서 적용한 BeeHive와의 연동뿐 아니라 다른 다양한 멀티미디어 데이타베이스와 연동 시 바로 적용시킬 수 있는 확장성을 가지고 있다. 성능 분석 결과 제안된 IPC 기반 연동기법은 기존의 파일 방식의 연동기법과 비교하여 성능의 저하가 크지 않았다.

  • 인공지능 및 사물인터넷의 기술 발전에 따라 디지털전환(DX)은 가속화 되고있으며, 디지털전환을 위한 기술은 제조, 생산 라인등 모든 산업의 혁신적인 방안으로 떠오르고 있다. 디지털 전환의 대표적인 기술로 디지털 트윈 기술이 주목받고 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 디지털 전환을 위하여 플랜트의 운영 에너지를 최적화하고, 에너지 효율성 향상을 하기위해 미활용 자원을 기반으로 하는 바이오매스 플랜트용 디지털트윈 프로토타입을 구현하고 성능을 평가한다. 제안된 디지털트윈의 프로토타입에서는 프레임워크와 게이트웨이간 표준 통신 플랫폼을 응용하여 양방향으로 실시간 연동이 가능하도록 제안 및 구현한다. 프레임워크는 클라이언트 서버와 게이트웨이간 메시지 시퀀스를 정의하여 호스트 서버와 통신이 가능하도록 인터페이스를 구현한다. 제안된 프로토타입의 성능을 검증하기 위해 서버에서 양방향 데이터를 수집 및 저장하는 가상환경을 설정하여, 데이터양에 따른 성능평가를 진행한다. 제안된 플랫폼에 적용된 알고리즘이 기존 엔진에 비해 향상된 성능을 보여, 미활용 자원을 기반으로 하는 바이오매스 플랜트용 디지털트윈에 적용시 운영 에너지의 최적화와 에너지 효율 향상에 큰 기여를 할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

무선공중망을 이용한 의료 정보 데이터 원격 모니터링 시스템에 관한 연구 (A study on the implementation of Medical Telemetry systems using wireless public data network)

  • 정보 통신 기술이 발전함에 따라 가정에서 손쉽게 혈압, 맥박, 심전도, 혈중산소포화도, 혈액검사까지 할 수 있는 재택 의료기기와 무선 공중망을 연동하여 일반 국민들이 이제 집에서 간편하게 건강 검진을 받을 수 있는 서비스가 가능하게 되었다. 사람의 몸에서 검출되는 생체 데이터를 가정에서 무선 공중망을 이용하여 원격지 병원의 시스템에 전송함으로써 효율적인 원격 모니터링 의료 서비스에 활용될 수 있다. 무선 근거리 통신망을 이용한 의료 정보 전송 시스템에서 개인이 소지한 단말기를 통해 취득한 생체 신호를 무선으로 병원 내에 있는 기저 시스템을 통해 중앙의 시스템에 전송한다. 원격 모니터링 시스템은 필요한 무선 매체 액세스 프로토콜을 이용하여 구현한다. 이러한 매체 액세스 프로토콜로는 IEEE 802.11 의 CSMA/CA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) 프로토콜에 폴링 방식을 접목시켜 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 심전도, 혈압, 혈중산소포화도 측정장치를 가지는 재택 원격 모니터링 시스템 중에서 심전도 측정 부분을 구현하기 위해 이동형 단말기 내부에 심전계 기능을 내장하였다. 이동형 단말기에 900MHz 대역을 사용하는 무선 공중망 인터페이스를 첨가하여, 가정에서의 일반인, 허약 노인, 환자 등의 심전도를 취득하여 저장, 기록함으로써 건강 진단을 받거나 또는 심장 질환을 가졌을 경우, 복잡한 심장 질환을 효과적으로 감시·관리할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 제안한 무선 공중망에 기반한 의료 정보 전송 시스템을 구현함에 있어서, 이동형 단말기는 생체 신호 데이터 중에서 심전도 데이터를 무선 공중망 모뎀과 NCL(Native Con운ol Language) 프로토콜을 사용하여 무선 공중망과 접속되어 전송되고, 공중망에듣 SCR(Standard Context Routing) 프로토콜을 사용하여 유선 접속되어 있는 관리 호스트 컴퓨터에 등록되어 있는 개인 정보와 취득한 심전도 데이터를 검토하고 그에 상응하는 검진을 이동형 단말기로 보냄으로써, 무선 공중망을 이용한 의료 정보 전송 시스템을 구현될 수 있음을 검증하였다.

$CO_2$ 격리 처리를 위한 암석물리학 모의실헝장치와 그 응용 (A rock physics simulator and its application for $CO_2$ sequestration process)

  • 지하 염수층의 $CO_2$ 주입은 큰 저장 능력으로 인하여 대기 중으로의 $CO_2$ 방출을 감소시키기 위한 가장 유망한 방법일 것이다. $CO_2$ 저장은 적어도 수 천년 간 $CO_2$가 지층 안에 안전하게 남아있도록 주의깊게 계획되고 모니터링되어야 한다. 특히 해양 저류층에 대한 탄성파 탐사 방법들은 알맞은 저류층특성이 제공된다면 $CO_2$의 주인공정과 분산을 모니터링하기 위한 일차적인 수단이다. 탄성파탐사 방법은 잠재적인 트랩, 저류층 특성, 저류층 저장능력의 규명에 또한 필수적이다. 따라서 $CO_2$ 저장에 대한 탄성파 반응의 변화에 대한 평가는 매우 초기 단계에 이루어져야 한다. 이것은 모암과 $CO_2$ 사이의 화학적 작용에 의해 일어날 수 있는 유체의 특성이나 광물 조성의 변화에 따른 탄성파 반응에서의 잠재적 변화를 평가하기 위해 나중 단계에 다시 고려될 필요가 있다. 따라서 저류층에 일정시간 이상의 $CO_2$ 주입에 의한 탄성파 반응 변화에 대해 섬세히 구축된 모형은 장기간의 모니터링 프로그램 설계에 도움을 준다. 그러한 목적으로 주입된 $CO_2$에 대한 단기간과 장기간의 4차원 탄성파 반응을 모델링하도록 설계된, 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스((GUI)를 채택한 암석물리학 모의실험장치를 개발했다. 적용분야는 $CO_2$ 위상 변화, 국부적인 압력과 온도 변화, 화학 반응 및 광물의 침전을 포함한다. 이방성 가스만(Gassmann) 식을 모의실험장치에 고려시킴으로써 단층과 파쇄대를 재활성화 시키는 $CO_2$의 탄성파 반응 또한 예측될 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 암석물리학 모의실험장치를 적용했던 현장(해상과 육상의 잠재적 $CO_2$ 격리 지역)의 사례를 보여주고 있다. 4차원 탄성파 반응들이 모니터링 프로그램의 설계를 돕기 위하여 만들어 졌다.

대퇴골 전자간 골절의 새로운 수술기법에 관한 생체역학적 분석 (A Biomechanical Study on a New Surgical Procedure for the Treatment of Intertrochanteric Fractures in relation to Osteoporosis of Varying Degrees)

  • 본 연구에서는 유한요소법을 이용하여 대퇴골 전자간 골절 치료에 대한 다양한 수술기법을 골밀도 변화에 따라 생체역학적으로 분석하여 이를 평가하고자 한다. 이에 구현된 모델들은 압박 고관절 나사만을 이용하여 시술한 모델 (Type I), 삽입된 압박 고관절 나사 주위에 시멘트 영역을 확보한 뒤 골 시멘트로 보강하는 시술을 구현한 모델 (Type II),대학교추가의 골소실이 없이 시멘트를 가압하여 주입하는 시술을 구현한 모델 (TypeIII)의 3가지 형태로 구현하였다. 시술 상황에 따라 골절부위와 삽입물의 경계면 주위에 접촉요소를 사용하기 위해 적절한 마찰계수를 설정하였으며, 골다공증 정도 (Singh Indices, II∼V)에 따라 대퇴골의 물성치를 적절하게 적용시켰다. 각 모델에 있어 골밀도 변화에 따른 수술기법의 차이를 분석하기 위하여 다음과 같은 인자를 분석하였다 : (a) 대퇴골두 내에서의 von Mises 응력 부피비, (b) 대퇴골두 망상골과 인공 삽입물내에서의 최대 von Mises 응력 (PVMS), (c) 대퇴골두 내에서의 최대 von Mises 변형률 (MVMS), (d) 골절 부위와 인공 삽입물 주위에서의 미세운동량. 수술기법 중 Type III가 대퇴골두 내에서 골밀도 변화에 상관없이 가장 낮은 PVMS, MVMS 수치를 보여 가장 효율적인 결과를 나타내었다. 이는 기존 시술법 (Type I,II)에 비해 내고정 실패 가능성이 가장 적을 것으로 예측되었다. 특히, 골밀도가 낮을 때에는 Type III의 수술 효과가 더욱 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 삽입물 주위에서 미세운동량을 분석한 결과, Type III의 수치가 다른 시술법들의 15∼20%로 나타나 시멘트를 가 압하여 보강하는 시술법이 삽입물 주위의 미세운동을 억제하는데 있어 가장 효과적이다는 것을 증명하는 것이다. 이러한 결과로부터, 압박 고관절 나사를 이용한 대퇴골두 전자간 골절 치료에 있어 골 시멘트를 가압하여 보강하는 방법이 골밀도가 낮은 환자에 있어 인공삽입물의 내고정 및 골유합에 가장 큰 효과를 보일 것으로 사료된다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The correlation between glucose concentration and parameters was the best at 610nm. 30535 T00401030535 ^x Radiation-induced fibrosarcoma tumors were grown on the flanks of C3H mice. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Results show the superiority of the proposed method to the conventional method using power spectrum and also its usefulness for the tissue characterization. 30541 T00401030541 ^x This paper describes the implementation of a computerized radial pulse diagnosis by aids of a clinical expert. On this base, we composed of the radial pulse diagnosis system in korean traditional medicine. The system composed of a radial pulse wave detection system and a radial pulse diagnosis system. With a detection system, we detected Inyoung and Cheongu radial pulse wave and processed it. Then, we have got the characteristic parameters of radial pulse wave and also quantified that according to the method of Inyoung-Cheongu Comparison Radial Pulse Diagnosis.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N.
