This study aimed to investigate the influence of shoe heel height and muscle fatigue on static and dynamic balance in young women. Thirty women who were used to wearing high heels volunteered to participate in this study. The shoe heel heights were 0 cm and 7 cm. And ankle plantar flexor fatigue was experimentally induced. Static and dynamic balance were measured using the one leg standing test (OLST) and the star excursion balance test (SEBT) in anterior, posteromedial, and posterolateral directions, respectively. Values in the OLST (shoe heel height 0 cm, $28.83{\pm}3.24$ sec to $26.12{\pm}6.13$ sec; and 7 cm, $24.75{\pm}7.09$ sec to $16.86{\pm}9.32$ sec) and the SEBT in anterior (shoe heel height 0 cm, $71.02{\pm}4.57%$ to $69.50{\pm}3.66%$; and 7 cm, $64.17{\pm}3.53%$ to $59.61{\pm}4.06%$) and posteromedial (shoe heel height 0 cm, $92.01{\pm}5.61%$ to $90.38{\pm}7.10%$; and 7 cm, $83.09{\pm}7.29%$ to $76.83{\pm}9.28%$) directions were significantly reduced when fatigue-inducing exercise was performed (p<.05). Furthermore, within these parameters, there were significant interaction effects between shoe heel height and fatigue condition (p<.05). These findings suggest that shoe heel height and muscle fatigue contribute to some changes in static and dynamic balance in young women, probably leading to negative effects on physical function during a variety of activities of daily living.

Modernization movement has affected classical operas. Today, classical operas are often re-interpreted from the modern perspective and played differently only with the storyline maintained. Also, operas are increasingly performed outside traditional theaters as the boundaries between stage and audience become less obvious. Accordingly, stage costumes are being differently designed than before. New attempts are being made to look costumes in a harmony with increasingly streamlined stage machinery. This helps increase public attention on operas, consequently promoting the opera industry. This study examines modernization of opera costumes. For this study, the author worked as one of costume design staff for "Faust," which was played in Sungnam Art Center from November 24, 2005 to November 27, 2005 in commemoration of the opening of the center. The following outcomes of the crowd are drawn from this study. A variety of splendid pink dresses, ribbons, dolls, hand mirror, and hair bands were used to express haughty girls with "Princess Syndrome." Fashion models, the envy of all woman, wore fashionable clothes including luxury dresses, fur-coats, high heels, purses, and hats, Models also had big shopping bags and gift boxes to symbolize shopping lovers in a modern society. Gay men wore tight leather trousers and vest and sleeves shirts with deeply cut neckline to express their preference for feminie style. their clothes were splendid colors that normally women liked such as gold, purple, light green, scarlet, and silver. Soldiers were in combat uniform representing their participation in the war. In particular, clothes stained with dirt, iron helmet, crutches, and canteens were used to vividly express soldiers coming back home from the war. Modern opera costumes now help reduce the time and space between stage and audience, improve economic efficiency, and meet the audience's needs for various style.

패션은 미용과 함께 신분, 지위, 혼인 여부, 개인 성향 등을 표현하는 시각적 수단이며 과거의 생활습관까지 유추할 수 있는 중요한 실용문화 유산이다. 현대사회에서는 헤어, 메이크업, 네일아트 등의 미용뿐만 아니라 여성 정장, 하이힐, 모자, 장갑, 핸드백, 목걸이 등과 같은 패션도 여성의 사회적 존재를 부각하면서 경쟁력을 배가시키는 요인으로 작용한다. 봉건적 가치관과 고정관념에 저항하면서 시대적 선도성을 발휘한 일제 강점기 신여성은 혁신적 여성상의 모범이며 21세기 과학기술의 급진적 발전에 부응하는 여성성의 표본을 제시하기 때문에 진정한 양성평등(兩性平等) 사회를 향한 원동력이자 발전적 미래설계를 위한 발판으로 작용한다. 신여성들의 패션스타일에서 발산되는 여성성에 대하여 뷰티 전공 여대생 관점으로 요인을 분석한 본 연구를 통하여 건설적 자조론(自助論)을 정립한 여성성의 표본 제시가 가능해짐과 동시에 현대 여성들의 자존감 정립과 성공하는 혁신적 여성성의 확고한 기틀도 마련되리라 사료된다.

본 연구의 목적은 인솔구두의 굽 높이에 따른 평발을 가진 20대 대학생의 보행 시 발목관절의 각도변화에 대해 융복합적 비교를 하는 것이다. 15명의 대학생을 대상으로 동작분석기(Qualisys Track Manager)를 이용하였다. 인솔이 장착된 기능성 구두를 제작하고, 구두의 굽 높이를 0cm, 3cm와 7cm로 셋팅하였다. 실험대상자들은 두 개의 굽 높이가 있는 구두를 신고 발목관절의 측면에 반사마커를 부착하여 보행을 실시하였다. 보행입각기에서 발목관절의 각도변화를 측정하였다. 평발을 가진 실험대상자가 인솔구두를 착용 시 구두 굽 높이가 높을수록 양측의 Heel strike, Foot flat, Midstance, Toe off에서 유의한 감소가 나타났다. 따라서 평발을 가진 대상자는 인솔구두를 착용 시 낮은 구두를 신어야만 발바닥의 피로를 감소시켜 편안한 보행을 할 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristic expression of Korean traditional costumes shown in the Korean paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung. The study analyzed the paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung to find out the characteristics of the contemporary Korean paintings and the expression of Korean traditional costumes. The characteristics of Kim Hyun-Jung's works are as follows: 1) The paintings are drawn by using Korean traditional painting methods and finished with Korean traditional paper, hanji. Moreover, they show the Korean traditional costume as main subject material. 2) They use modern painting methods, such as collage, and show pop art characters by use of contemporary popular products. 3) The artist communicates with the public through SNS and YouTube, and shows characteristics of popular art through commercial art products and advertisements. The characteristics of the Korean traditional costume in Kim Hyun-Jung's works are as follows. 1) The hanbok shown in the paintings is a traditional style with tight jeogori and wide chima. Chima is drawn in thin coloring with Korean ink and jeogori is expressed with semi-transparent hanji in various patterns and colors, which shows the subject 'coy'. 2) Various kinds of Korean traditional accessories and modernized flower shoes with high heels are shown as subject materials. The art works by contemporary Korean artists are expected to be the route to give valuable information to the public about Korean traditional costumes as well as the trendy Korean culture.

The purpose of this study is to apply the characteristics of David Hockney's paintings to fashion illustration and thereby, review how pure art can be harmoniously grafted onto fashion commodities and thereupon, suggest a far more developed and unique fashion illustration. For the research, this study analyzed David Hockney's late painting works, after the 1980s; the analysis was focused on photo collages, multiple perspectives, the movement of the viewpoint, and lights and colors. In order to produce an artwork, the researcher selected 4 painting works; one work for decade for the period from the 1980s to the 2010s. This study selected 'shoes' as subjects for expression in an effort to depart from the convention approach of focusing on apparel and thereby, suggest some differentiated fashion illustrations. In terms of the artwork production size, four canvases #5 were combined into a set, and thus, a total of four sets were developed. The results are as follows. First, it was very interesting to develop a fashion illustration making use of David Hockney's paintings, and it was proven that the fashion illustration applying the sensitivity of the pure art would provide a unique sense of art. Secondly, as the boundary among disciplines becomes blurred, painting provides a new source of insights and motifs to the diverse design areas to satisfy diversified human needs, and furthermore, the development and diversified application of the fashion illustrations could be confirmed. Thirdly, David Hockney's differentiated world of art, technique of expression and sensitive colors could well be applied to fashion illustrations. This study proves that we fashion artists can depart from the conventional expressions focused on the apparel to expand the fashion illustration into lady's high heels.

현대인의 생활은 굽이 높은 슬리퍼, 샌들, 하이 힐 등의 과다 사용에 따른 수축된 아킬레스건이 보행 또는 운동 중에 파열되는 사고로부터 예방의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 또한 국민생활이 윤택해짐에 따라서 운동부족과 과잉섭취에 의한 국민비만은 심각한 상황이다. 본 연구는 아킬레스건의 신장과 이완된 종아리 근육을 풀어주거나 키워주는 역할의 기능성 샌들에 대한 외형 디자인에 대하여 현재 시제품에 대한 분류와 문제점들을 알아보고 어떠한 디자인 개발이 필요한 지 알아보는 데에 본 연구의 목적이다. 본 연구조사를 통하여 동일 제품군을 대상으로 현재 기능성 샌들 디자인 문제점과 경향으로 향후 개발되어질 기능성 샌들에 대하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 첫째, 앞굽이 높고 바닥이 넓으며 지면과 맞닿는 부분이 많아야 한다. 둘째, 무채색 계열보다는 유채색 계열에 대하여 선호도가 높다. 셋째, 굽의 높이와 형태를 곡선 적으로 제작하고 신발의 균형에 대하여 디자인 고려해야 한다. 넷째, 기능성 샌달로써 형태가 너무 커 투박하거나 운동에 불편을 주지 않는 가운데 될수록 크게 보여 안정감을 주도록 한다. 다섯째, 형태를 디자인하는데 너무 복잡하게 디자인하지 않도록 한다. 연구는 기능성 샌들의 외형 디자인에 대해서 조사 분석한 것으로 실제 샌들의 사용 평가 등에 대해서 이루어지지 않았다. 향후 보다 구체적인 연구를 통해 건강을 위한 기능성 샌들 디자인의 다양화를 모색하고 우리나라의 산업과 디자인 경쟁력의 우위를 확보해 나아가야 할 것이다.

본 연구에서는 국내외 실버화와 일반적인 운동화에 대한 1차 운동기능학적 분석을 통하여 노인에게 가장 적합한 신발을 정하고 2차 운동생리학적 실험을 통해 체지방률변화, 운동강도에 따른 대사량의 변화 그리고 에너지 소비량의 변화를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 대상으로는 특별한 질병을 가지고 있지 않은 남자 어른들 20명을 대상으로 하였으며, 평균나이는 $62.78{\pm}4.32$세, 신장은 $170.89{\pm}3.56cm$ 그리고 몸무게는 $75.12{\pm}8.76kg$이었다. 실험 전 실험에 대한 충분한 설명을 하고 동의서를 받은 후 데이터를 수집하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 운동 기능학적 실험과 운동 생리학적 실험을 수행하였으며, 본 연구결과 걷기나 달리기 시 최초 발 뒤꿈치 접촉 시 발이 회내(pronation)되는 정도와 최대 회내가 되는 정도를 알아 본 결과 걷기속도가 가장 빠르게 나온 B형의 신발이 회내값($-2.3{\pm}1.05^{\circ}$)이 가장 크게 나타났으며 일반걷기용 신발에서 가장 작은 값($-1.5{\pm}0.49^{\circ}$)을 보여주고 있다. 또한 노인들의 일상생활에서 착용하는 건강증진용 신발을 대상으로 운동 생리학적 부분을 살펴보면 체지방율의 변화는 모든 그룹에서 감소는 하였으나, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았는데, 이는 체지방율의 변화를 가져오기 위해서 일시적인 운동이 아닌 규칙적이고 장기적인 운동이 필요할 것으로 사료되어지며, 노인들이 건강증진용 기능화를 장기적으로 착용하여 운동할 경우 체 지방율에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 사료되어진다.

Purpose：The purpose of this study was to investigated the effect of stability on heel-heights of insole in healthy adults. Methods：Subjects of 39 males measured stability index of the Biodex Stability System(BSS) by wearing shoes of 2cm, 5cm insoles including bare feet. The BSS was consisted of a movable balance platform and the platform was interfaced with computer software that enables the device to serve as an assessment of balance performance. Stability index of the BSS included overall stability index(OSI), anteroposterior stability index(APSI), mediolateral stability index(MLSI). In the BSS, subjects were asked to step on to the platform of the BSS and assume a comfortable position while maintaining slight flexion in the knees, looking straight ahead. Subjects were trained for 10min for adaptation to the heel-height of insole and then they maintained double limb stance for 2min. Biodex platform set to convert Lv.8 into Lv.1 gradually. Results：There were statistically significant differences between heel-heights of insole and stability index of OSI, APSI, and MLSI(p<.05). The result of post-hoc test were as follows; 1)OSI had significant differences between bare feet and 2cm, 5cm. 2)APSI had significant differences between bare feet and 2cm, 5cm. 3)MLSI had significant differences between bare feet and 2cm, 5cm(p<.05). Conclusions：We found that the more heels of insole high, the more stability index increases. In particular, balance index of insole above 5cm more increased and we could acknowledge that the insole above 5cm more effected balance of healthy adults.
