레이저 TWB된 이종접합강의 기계적 특성 (Mechanical Properties of Laser-Welded Multi-Material Tailor-Welded Blanks)

  • 본 연구에서는 승객의 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 상부 고강도강 SABC1470, 하부 냉간 압연강 SPFH590과 SPFC980으로 경량화를 위하여 레이저 TWB 용접하였다. TWB 이종재료 시험편은 열처리에 의하여 SABC1470 재료에 고강도화 하였다. 수냉까지 대기 시간에 따르는 인장강도와 센터필라와 같은 부정 조건에 의한 고속 굽힘의 변형 거동을 평가하였다. 동일 온도에서 열처리 된 TWB 시험편은 수냉까지 대기 시간에 따라서 인장강도와 굽힘강도가 감소하였다. $850^{\circ}C$에서 열처리한 SABC1470 + SPFH590 TWB 시험편은 추돌에 의해 차체 파손시 파괴거동을 유도하여 승객을 보호할 수 있는 적절한 조건이었다. 사고에 의한 승객의 안전을 고려하면, 센터필라는 상부재로서 SABC1470, 하부재료로 SPFH590을 사용하는 것이 안전하다.

  • Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C hybrid metal matrix composites are fabricated by the direct squeeze infiltration method. From the microstructure of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites, uniform distribution of reinforcements and good bondings are found. Optimum processing conditions for preforms and squeeze castings are suggested. Mechanical properties, such as elastic modulus, elongation, 0.2% offset yield strength and ultimate tensile strength are obtained. Through the abrasive were test and wear surface analsis, wear behavior and its mechanism of AC2B aluminum and Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites can be characterized under various sliding speed conditions. Tensile strenght elongation of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites are decreased with increasing the addition of carbon fiber. On the contrary, elastic modulus of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites is slightly improved compared with that of the unreinforced matrix alloy. The addition of carbon fiber to al/al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites gives rise to improvement of the wear resistance. Specially, carbon chopped fibers play an important role in interfering sticking between the counter material and metal matirix composites. Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites are suitable to high speed due to solid lubication of carbon. And wear model of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites is suggested by the examination of worn surfaces.

Strength and Efficiency during Lap Joining Molding of GMT-sheet

  • In order to substitute and recycle the existing automobile parts for GMT-sheet, researches on the effects of GMT-sheet on the establishment of precise joining strength, joining condition that are lap length of joining part, compression ratio, and closure speed must be carried out but until now. Besides, many researches on adhesion joint had been conducted until now but no systematic research on press lap joint of GMT-sheet has been implemented until recently and the reliability of joining strength is not yet established. In press lap joining molding of GMT-sheet, tensile stress and lap joining connection efficiency was increased according to the increase of lap length L. However, as the increase of compression ratio and fiber content ratio per unit area was higher in tensile test, it has caused the deterioration of lap joining efficiency after joining molding of GMT-sheet. Clarify joining strength and lap joining efficiency during high temperature compression press lap joining molding of GMT-sheet and research data regarding to the lap length of joining part was presented. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the substitution of existing products as well as usage development in non-automobile field and also to find out precise dynamic characteristics as designing data of structures.

HSS-Co와 SM55C 이종 마찰용접재의 피로강도에 관한 연구(1) (A Study on fatigue Strength in the Friction Welded Joints of HSS-Co to SM55C Carbon Steel(I))

  • This paper deals with the various mechanical properties and fatigue strength in the FRW1 (friction welded interface) of high speed steel (HSS-Co) to SM55C through the tensile test, hardness test and fatigue test. The data of FRW specimens are also compared with those of the base materials (HSS-Co and SM55C steel). Three kinds of specimens used in this study are the friction welded joints, HSS-Co and SM55C carbon steel with circumferential notch, saw notch and smooth, respectively. It is confirmed that the applied welding conditions are optimum methods in order to minimize the heat affected zone (HAZ) and hardness distribution at the HAZ. The fatigue strengths at N = 10$^{6}$ cycles of smooth, circumferential notch and saw notch specimens in the FRW joints are about 299.2 MPa, 123.8 MPa and 247.5 MPA, respectively. The fatigue strength of the friction welded joints is almost equal to that of the SM55C carbon steel in the optimum welding conditions. The fatigue cracks initiated at the welded zone are propagated along the side of SM55C steel.

현무암의 용융특성과 연속섬유 방사 연구 (Studies on the Melting Characterization of Basalt and its Continuous Fiber Spinning)

  • 제주도 표선리 현무암 원광을 이용하여 연속 방사에 의해 현무암 섬유를 제조하였다. 먼저 현무암의 용융특성을 확인하기 위하여 현무암 원광을 백금도가니에 넣고 $1550^{\circ}C$로 용융시킨 후, 물속에서 급냉하였다. 냉각한 후 X-선 회절, 열팽창, 고온 점도, 고온 전기전도도와 고온 현미경을 측정 분석하여 연속방사 조건을 조사하였다. 연속 섬유를 제조하기 위한 최적의 방사 온도와 고온 점도는 각각 $1264^{\circ}C$$10^{2.8}$ poise이었다. 제조된 방사 섬유의 특성은 인장강도, 전자현미경 관찰, 내열시험 등으로 확인하였다. 부싱 온도 $1240^{\circ}C$와 와인더 속도 4600rpm의 방사 조건에서 제조된 섬유의 인장 강도는 3660MPa을 나타내었다.

Er:YAG 레이저로 삭제된 상아질에 대한 컴포지트 레진의 미세인장결합강도에 관한 연구 (Micro-tensile Bond Strength of Composite Resin Bonded to Er:YAG Laser-prepared Dentin)

  • 목적 전통적 고속 회전식 절삭기구 또는 Er:YAG 레이저로 삭제된 상아질에, 두가지 다른 접착 시스템을 적용한 후, 축조한 컴포지트 레진의 미세인장결합강도를 비교하고, 다양한 Er:YAG 레이저 에너지가 미세인장결합강도에 미치는 영향을 평가한다. 재료 및 방법 40개의 제3대구치를 사용하여, 평평한 상아질면을 만든 후 8개의 군으로 나누어, 4가지 절삭방법 (고속 회전식 절삭기구, 2 W, 3 W, 4 W 출력의 Er:YAG 레이저) 중 한 가지로 삭제하고, 2가지 접착 시스템 (Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus, Clearfil SE bond) 중 한 가지로 처리하여 컴포지트 레진을 축조하였다. 24시간의 저장 후, 각 시편을 결합면에 수직으로 자르고, 미세인장결합강도를 측정하였다. 각 군의 미세인장결합강도는 평균$\pm$표준 편차로 표현하였고, 통계분석을 위해 two-way ANOVA, one-way ANOVA, student-Newman-Keuls' multiple comparison test, 그리고 t-test가 사용되었다. 결과 및 결론 1. 접착시스템과 관계없이, 절삭방법에 따른 미세인장결합강도의 유의한 차이가 있었고, 높은 순서대로 나열하면 다음과 같다: 3 W, 2 W, Bur, 4 W (p<0.001). 2. 절삭방법과 관계없이, Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus로 처리한 군이 Clearfil SE bond로 처리한 군보다 유의하게 높은 미세인장결합강도를 나타냈다 (p<0.001). 3. Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus로 처리한 군 중에서, 3 W 레이저 절삭군이 가장 높은 미세인장결합강도를 나타냈고, 다음이 Bur, 2 W, 4 W 절삭군 순이었다 (p<0.001). 4. Clearfil SE bond로 처리한 군 중에서 3 W 레이저 절삭군이 가장 높은 미세인장결합강도를 나타냈고, 다음이 2 W, 4 W, Bur 절삭군 순이었다 (p<0.001). 5. 두 가지 접착 시스템 모두에서, 레이저로 절삭한 군의 미세인장결합강도의 차이가 있었고, 높은 순서대로 나열하면 3 W, 2 W, 4 W 순이었다 (p<0.001). :상아질에 접착된 컴포지트 레진의 미세인장결합강도는 절삭방법과 접착시스템의 상호작용에 의해 유의한 영향을 받았다. 임상에서 레진 수복시, 2 W-3 W 범위내로 Er:YAG laser를 사용한다면 전통적 핸드피스 못지않게 수복물의 우수한 결합강도를 얻을 수 있다. 특히 시술시간의 단축, 과도한 산부식에 따른 부작용의 예방을 위해 Clearfil SE bond를 포함한 self etching system을 사용하고자 한다면 bur보다 Er:YAG laser를 이용한 삭제방법이 더 유용한 결합력을 제공할 것이다.

치과용(齒科用) 아말감의 파괴인성(破壞靭性)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A STUDY ON THE FRACTURE TOUGHNESS OF DENTAL AMALGAMS)

  • The plane strain fracture toughness of a material characterize the resistance to fracture in the presence of a sharp crack under severe tensile condition. Fracture toughness can be determined by indentation method. The purpose of this study was to investigate the fracture toughness of dental amalgams by measuring the plane strain fracture toughness and the fracture toughness from indentation method. Two conventional and four high copper amalgam alloys were employed for this study. The amalgams were prepared according to the A.D.A. spec. No. 1 and inserted into the specially designed mould with the single edge notch specimen to use in 3-point bending method. The specimens (20mm long, 4mm wide, 2mm thick) were stored at $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 week, and tested in 3-point bending by means of Instron at a cross-head speed of 1mm/min. In indentation method, the specimens were made in same manner as single edge notch specimens. The test was conducted with Vickers hardness tester at 10kg load. The following results were obtained. 1. The plane strain fracture toughness and the fracture toughness from indentation method were higher in the low copper amalgams than the high copper amalgams. 2. In high copper amalgams, the fracture toughness of amalgams decreases according as the copper contents increase. 3. In similar copper contents, the single composition amalgams have a higher fracture toughness than the admixed amalgams.

구리-크롬 소결단조 합금의 크롬 함유량 변화에 따른 동적 물성특성 (Dynamic Material Property of the Sinter-Forged Cu-Cr Alloys with the Variation of Chrome Content)

  • Vacuum interrupters are used in various switch-gear components such as circuit breakers, distribution switches, contactors. The electrodes of a vacuum interrupter are manufactured of sinter-forged Cu-Cr material for good electrical and mechanical characteristics. Since the closing velocity is 1-2m/s and impact deformation of the electrode depends on the strain-rate at the given velocity, the dynamic material property of the sinter-forged Cu-Cr alloy is important to design the vacuum interrupter reliably and to identify the impact characteristics of a vacuum interrupter accurately. This paper is concerned with the dynamic material properties of sinter-forged Cu-Cr alloy for various strain rates. The amount of chrome is varied from 10 wt% to 30 wt% in order to investigate the influence of the chrome content on the dynamic material property. The high speed tensile test machine is utilized in order to identify the dynamic property of the Cu-Cr alloy at the intermediate strain-rate and the split Hopkinson pressure bar is used at the high strain-rate. Experimental results from both the quasi-static and the high strain-rate up to the 5000/sec are interpolated with respect to the amount of chrome in order to construct the Johnson-Cook and the modified Johnson-Cook model as the constitutive relation that should be applied to numerical simulation of the impact behavior of electrodes.

TWB 보론강의 기계적 특성 및 성형성 (Mechanical Properties and Formability of TWB Boron Steel)

  • 핫 스탬핑은 오스테나이트 변태 온도 이상에서 프레스 성형 후 급속히 냉각되는 고강도 부품을 제조하는 성형 방법이다. 매우 적은 양의 보론 성분을 가지고 있는 보론강은 핫 스탬핑에 사용되는 재료 중의 하나이다. 본 연구의 목적은 열처리 조건에 따르는 기계적 성질과 에릭슨 커핑 시험에 의하여 성형성을 조사하는 것이다. 다양한 온도에서 다이��칭은 대기 시간을 달리하여 실시하였다. 1173 K-0s에서 ��칭 후 TWB는 1203 MPa의 인장 강도를 얻었다. 이것은 모재 인장강도(1,522 MPA)의 79 %이다. 금형 온도(298, 523, 673 K)에 따른 보론강 TWB의 성형성은 차이가 크지 않았다. 그러나 성형 속도가 증가함에 따라 성형성이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

구상흑연주철의 고압하 마멸특성에 미치는 합금원소의 영향 II-Si, Mo (Effects of Alloying Elements on the High Pressure Wear Characteristics of Ductile Cast Iron II - Silicon and Molybdenum)

  • Surface layer properties such as composition, phase, hardness, and oxide layer condition are very important if the main failure mechanism of metals is wear. Generally, stable and dense oxide layers are known to decrease the wear rate of metals by prohibition of metallic junction occurred between bare metals. Addition of Si above 4 wt% to DCI(Ductile Cast Iron) is reported to enhance the significant oxidation resistance by forming the silicon-rich surface layer which inhibits further oxidation. And addition of up to 2 wt% Mo to high Si ductile iron produces significant increases in high temperature tensile strength, creep strength, thermal fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance. High pressure wear characteristics of unalloyed DCI(Ductile cast Iron), 4.46 wt% Si ductile iron, 4.3 wt% Si-0.52 wt% Mo ductile iron were investigated through unlubricated pin-on-disc wear test. Wear test was carried out at speed of 23m/min, under pressure of 3 MPa and 3.3 MPa. Wear surfaces of each specimen were observed by SEM to determine the wear mechanism under high pressure wear condition. Addition of Si 4.46 wt% severely deteriorated wear property of ductile iron compared to unalloyed DCI. But combined addition of Si 4.3 wt%andMo0.52wt%decreasedthefrictioncoefficient(${\mu}$)ofductileironsandremarkablydelayedthemild-severeweartransition.
