A Study on Brand of Mail-Order Clothing (Mail-Order의류제품의 브랜드에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current brand of mail-order clothing, consumers' attitude over importance of brand and the effectiveness of brand when consumers purchase clothing by mail-order shopping. for this study, mail order catalogs were analyzed and the samples were collected through the questionaire distributed to 214 women. It was analyzed by SAS package. The results are as follows; 1. As a result of mail-order catalog analysis, domestic clothing included few famous brand except foreign brand. 2. The users of mail-order purchasing were old and married women comparably. They were also high clothing-expense users and housekeepers. Item that consumers wanted to buy using mail-order shopping were home-wear, night-wear, accessories and scarves which were involved low risks comparably. 3. Consumers regard brand significantly as a means of credit in purchasing mail-order shopping clothing. In analysis between importance of mail-order clothing brand and demographics, degree of education and clothing expense per month showed significant difference.

  • It is reported about the recent developments of powder metallurgy technologies in Japan. In this several years, we cannot make no progress in the amount of powder metallurgy parts production. In order to expand the markets, it is necessary to understand the market needs, and promote technical developments to satisfy the needs which include Cost Reduction, Weight Reduction, High Performance and Environmental Friendliness. The key words of developments to meet these needs are as follows, High Productivity Net-shape High Strength High Machinability High Wear-resistance Low Friction High Magnetic Properties High Heat Properties Light Weight. It is reported some examples corresponding with every key words.

Investigation into Development of Injection Mould with High Cooling Characteristics Using Direct Metal RP Technology (직접식 금속 쾌속조형 공정을 이용한 고 냉각 특성 사출 성형 금형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate into the development of injection mould with high cooling characteristics using a direct metal RP technology. In order to manufacture the injection mould with a high cooling rate, three-dimensional conformal cooling channels have been generated in the mould. DMT process, which is one of direct metal RP technologies, has been utilized to directly manufacture the metallic mould with three-dimensional conformal cooling channels. In order to examine the performance of the designed mould, injection molding tests have been carried out. The results of the experiments have been shown that a cooling time and the injection time of the proposed mould are reduced by the factor of five and two times in comparison with the injection mould with linear cooling channels.

  • This study is the design case analysis of seamless knitwear in order to suggest a new direction of high value-added seamless knitwear and seek for its possibility. Seamless knitwear is the up-to-date knit product that is made by a knitting machine without sewing, and it maintains elasticity of a material itself and is the closest type to the essence of knitwear. The seamless knitwear can satisfy satisfaction of customers with more elegance and individuality and become a method to develop a high value-added design. This study suggests a new direction for the 21st century knitwear design through a practical approach of seamless knitwear designs, pursues a high value fashion, and contributes to improving national competitiveness of fashion industries in order to be a practical research data for seamless knitwear designs.

  • In order for high strength aluminum alloys to be used in transportation systems and the aerospace industry, excellent mechanical and physical properties are required. In particular, excellent anti-abrasion property is indispensable for parts that require driving force. In general, surface treatment technologies such as high frequency heat treatment, gas solid carburizing, surface rolling, shot peening are used as ways of improving anti-abrasion property. Among various surface treatment technologies, this research chose shot peening processing for Al7075-T6, which is well known as representative high-strength alloy steel. Wear characteristics were compared and analyzed after shot peening processing with shot ball velocities of 40m/s and 70m/s in order to investigate the effects of shot peening processing on wear characteristics.

Some Suggestions for Development of Maritime High School in Korea (우리나라 해운계 고등학교의 발전 과제와 대응 방안)

  • This paper deals with internal and outernal factors of Maritime High School in Korea, and suggests the followings. The fist, superintendent authority of schools should be transferred to ministry of education from ministry of marine. The second, education system should be upgraded to junior college or 5 years education course. The third, the door of maritime university permission should be opened for maritime high school graduates. The fourth, training ship should be built for effective training course required form STCW 95. The fifth, if the graduates form maritime high school engage board, all of them should be exempted from military service responsibility. The sixth, the on board-training system for teachers and instructors should be programmed in order to help them keep and utilize the on board experience in actural education situation. The seventh, the school location should be placed in order to increase the efficiency of the education.

  • In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. When the transponder tag receives the energizing signal from the train, it sends a telegram to the reader, which includes location information. In high-speed railway environment, this telegram can be corrupted by electromagnetic interference caused by onboard electric train power equipments or wayside devices. In order to assess the performance of transponder system under this harsh environment, we carried out field test using HEMU-430X. Field test results are briefly introduced and discussed for the evaluation of the transponder system under development.

  • In this paper, we implemented sigmoid active function which make it difficult to design of the digital neuron networks. Therefore, we designed of the high speed processing of the sigmoid function in order to digital neural networks. we designed of the MAC(Multiplier and Accumulator) operation unit used residue number system without carry propagation for the high speed operation. we designed of MAC operation unit and sigmoid processing unit are proved that it could run of the high speed. On the simulation, the faster than 4.6ns on the each order, we expected that it adapted to the implementation of the high speed digital neural network.

  • In this study, we have developed the high resolution multichannel seismic data acquisition system and shallow marine seismic source. It is easy to operate our source system which utilizes piezoelectric transducer of high electrical power. According to water depth, survey condition and purpose, transducer number of source system can be easily changed in order to maximize field applicability. In the recording part, we used 24 bits and 8 channel high speed A/D board in order to achieve the improvement of data quality and the efficiency of data acquisition. The developed system was tested and varied with the data acquisition parameters such as source-receiver offset, and transducer number versus water depth for the field application.

  • As the number of reference patterns increase in the text dependant speaker recognition, the recognition performance of the system degrades. So, if reference patterns were decreased the high recognition rate can be obtained. It’s because the speaker recognition can obtain the high discrimination. In this paper, to decrease the number of reference patterns, we choose candidate reference patterns to perform pattern matching with test pattern by high order component of the reflection coefficients of the uttered speech signal Consequently the total recognition rate of the proposed method is about 2% higher than that of the conventional method.
