  • In this paper, it was assessed durability of ultra-high strength cementitious composites(UHSCC) with the range of 180MPa of compressive strength through the test method of chloride ion resistance, carbonation, freezing-thawing resistance, permeability. In order to compare with ultra-high strength cementitious composites, normal concrete and high-strength concrete were also tested. As the experimental result, it showed that UHSCC was cleary superior to the durability performance of normal concrete and high-strength concrete.

  • In this study, stress-strain, thermal expansion strain, total strain and high temperature creep strain of ultra-high-strength concrete with compressive strengths of 80, 130, and 180MPa were experimentally evaluated considering elevated temperature and loading condition. Also, transient creep strain has been calculated by using the results of experiment. Experimental coefficient K was proposed with application of non-steady state creep model. It is considered that the experimental results of this study could be baseline data for deformation behavior analysis of ultra-high-strength concrete.

  • This study reports on the structural characteristics of slab-column connections using an ultra-high-strength-fiber-reinforced concrete. Compression tests were performed on two slab-column and four isolated column specimens. During the column load tests were performing on the slab-column specimens, the slab loads were also applied to consider actual confinement condition at the slab-column joint. The main parameter investigated was the ' puddling ' of ultra-high-strength-fiber-reinforced concrete. This paper also investigates the effects of some parameters on slab-column specimens and isolated column specimens without the surrounding slab for their ability to transmit axial loads from the ultra-high-strength concrete columns through slab-column connections. The beneficial effects of the ultra-high-strength-fiber-reinforced concrete puddling on the transmission of column loads through slab-column connections are demonstrated.

  • Ultra-High Strength Concrete (UHSC) demands a clear presentation of its mechanical properties, as distinct from normal strength concrete, and an evaluation of the serviceability of high-rise buildings that use ultra-high strength concrete. Ultra-high strength concrete fck=150MPa was manufactured with pre-mix cement, and an experimental study was conducted to evaluate the mixing properties and compressive strength, with the major variables being unit cement contents, water-binder ratio, and type of pre-mix cement. The test result showed that 150MPa concrete requires about 6~7 minutes of mixing time until each of the materials (ordinary Portland cement, silica fume, blast-furnace slag powder and anhydrite) are sufficiently revitalized. The slump flow of fresh concrete was shown to be about 700~800mm with the proper viscosity. The average value of concrete compressive strength was shown to be about 70% in 7 days, 85% in 14 days, and 95% in 28 days, for 56 days of concrete material age.

  • In this study, the ultra high strength concrete which have 100, 150, 200MPa took the heat from 20℃ to 70 0℃ and the 0, 20% stress in normal condition's to evaluate stress-strain, residual compressive strength and thermal expansion deformation were evaluated. The heating speed of specimen was 0.77℃/min 20~50℃, 50℃ before the target temperature, and the other interval's heating speed was 1℃/min. As a result, the stress-strain curve of non-load specimen showed the liner behavior at high temperature when the specimen's strength increased more. If ultra high strength concrete got loads, its compressive strength tended to decrease different from the normal strength concrete. The thermal expansion deformation was expanded from a vitrification of quartz over 500℃. however, over the 600℃, it was shrinked because of the dehydration of the combined water.

  • This paper proposes a method for predicting flexural strength of hybrid steel fiber-reinforced ultra-high strength concrete beams. It includes an experimental test framework and associated numerical analyses. The experimental program includes flexural test results of hybrid steel fiber-reinforced ultra-high strength concrete beams with steel fiber content of 1.5% by volume. Tensile softening characteristics play an important role in the structural behavior of steel fiber-reinforced ultra high performance concrete. Tension softening modeling is carried out by using crack equation based on fictitious crack and inverse analysis in which load-crack mouth opening displacement relationship is considered. The comparison of moment-curvature curves of the numerical analysis results with the test results shows a reasonable agreement. Therefore, the numerical results confirms that good prediction of flexural behavior of steel fiber-reinforced ultra high strength concrete beams can be achieved by employing the proposed method.

  • Recently, more highly effective construction materials are needed for the reasonable and economical structure system is required as the construction structures become more multi storied, large-sized and diversified. That is to say, the highly qualified concrete, the molt universal construction material is positively promoted as a part of plan to establish the effective space according to the dead load of structures and diminish of segment profile and to build up the economic structures. In particular, it is tendency of that the study for high strength concrete increases and construction example of reinforced concrete (RC) using the high strength concrete partially increases. However, the high strength concrete has the problems such high brittleness and low ductility. Specially, for the high strength concrete, it has different strength from normal concrete as the internal temperature goes up steadily due to high heat of hydration by the quantities of highly level of cement, so the concrete which is mixed with various scible materials is used. This study conducted a basic experiment to conclude an adequate selection of materials and to calculate an optimal mixing proportion of those materials to produce High-strength concrete. And also we conducted an experiment to find out basic properties of this concrete such as slump-flow, strength.

In addition, the study and report to apply the strength expression and analysis results of internal structure. Therefore, this study is an experiment about using the miscible materials affects what happens to the longitudinal physical property.

  • High strength concrete(HSC) has been mainly used in large SOC structures. HSC have superior property as well as improvement in durability compared with normal strength concrete. In spite of durability of HSC, explosive spalling in concrete front surface near the source of fire occurs serious problem in structural safety. It is reported that spalling is caused by the vapor pressure under fire and polypropylene(PP) fiber has an important role in protecting from spalling. The spalling properties of ultra high strength concrete specimens with various contents of PP fiber were investigated in this study. In results, the content of PP fiber for spalling protection increases over 0.2 vol.% as the concrete strength increases to 120 MPa.

  • In this paper, to make ultra-high strength SFRCC with the range of compressive strength 180MPa, it was investigated the constitute factors of ultra-high strength SFRCC influenced on the compressive strength. The experimental variables were water-cementitious ratio, replacement of silica fume, size and proportion of sand, type and replacement of filling powder, and using of steel fiber in ultra-high strength SFRCC. As a result, in water-binder ratio 0.18, we could make ultra-high strength SFRCC with compressive strength 180MPa through using of silica fume, quartz sand with below 0.5mm, filling powder and steel fiber.
