The system specification is a system theory based formal representation method for systems' structure and behavior modeling. When we make use of the system specification method in each step of software development, we can derive a hierarchical and modularized system design which enables us to manage the software development process flexibly. This research presents system specification based design of a mobile alarm system which sends alerts about illegal usage of private information and manages the response against the each alert. In our design of mobile alarm system, there are formal definition of alert message overcoming the functional limitation of mobile device and hierarchical modularized modeling of alarm processing using system specification. The efficiency of making use of the system specification is shown by applying the specification method to implementation of mobile alarm system. The contribution of this work is in design and implementation of mobile alarm system which enables us to handle the private information leakage situation more flexible way using system specification based software designing method.

This study examined the effects of self-critical perfectionism on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and the moderating effects of gender in the relationship to understand deeply the dilemmatic situation resulting from OCB at the individual level. In other words, based on the conservation of resources theory, this study examined how self-critical perfectionism influences the OCB and how gender moderates the relationship between self-critical perfectionism and OCB. More specifically, this study predicts that self-perfectionism will be negatively related to OCB. Furthermore, this negative relationship between self-critical perfectionism and OCB will be strengthened in men compared to women. To test these hypotheses, the supervisor-subordinate survey was conducted, and 150 dyad data were analyzed. The analytical results of HLM (Hierarchical Linear Modeling) showed that self-critical perfectionism negatively influenced the OCB, and this negative effect was strengthened in men compared to women. This paper suggests implications and limitations for the literature on OCB.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the longitudinal effects of children's temperament on maternal depression. Methods: Data from a longitudinal cohort of the Panel Study of Korean Children (PSKC) from 2010 to 2012 were analyzed using hierarchical linear modeling. The survey included 1,721 mother-child dyads. The mothers reported on their children's temperament and on maternal depression. The children's temperament was measured by the Emotionality, Activity and Sociability-Temperament Survey for Children-Parental Ratings, while maternal depression was measured by the Kessler 6 Psychological Distress Scale. Results: The results showed that both children's temperament and maternal depression were relatively stable when the children were between the ages of 2 to 4. The mean maternal depression scores were 11.83 in 2010, 11.88 in 2011, and 11.75 in 2012. There were significant negative correlations between the maternal depression scores and children's ages, and sociability and activity subdomain scores ranged from r=-.05 to -.11 (p<.05). There was a significant positive correlation between children's emotionality subdomain scores and maternal depression scores (r=.35, p<.001). Children's temperament rament (emotionality: β=0.26, activity: β=-0.07, and sociability: β=-0.03) were significant factors in maternal depression. Conclusion: These findings indicate the need for the early assessment of and intervention for children's temperament and maternal depression. The results of this study will provide basic data for the development of nursing education programs related to early assessment and intervention to improve the health and quality of life of young children and mothers.
The purpose of this study was to propose a proper method for the multilevel mediation analysis, for which the hierarchical method should be utilized, then MLM (multilevel modeling) approach as a hierarchical method has been popularly utilized until MSEM (multilevel structural equation modeling) approach was not proposed. This purpose was covered by three research questions about statistical methods, analytic procedure, and real example. First, MSEM statistical method was preferred to MLM method for its estimation accuracy and analytic flexibility. Second, the four-step procedures of model building, assumption examination, model comparison, and coefficient testing were proposed for the multilevel mediation analysis. Third, the real data of 2695 students of elementary and secondary schools and 89 teachers were analyzed in the multilevel directions of $2{\rightarrow}2{\rightarrow}1$ and $1{\rightarrow}1{\rightarrow}2$. Out of these directions of $2{\rightarrow}2{\rightarrow}1$, and $1{\rightarrow}1{\rightarrow}2$ model, only the coefficient of $2{\rightarrow}2{\rightarrow}1$ model was significant at the 95% CI. Mplus programs used for the real example are attached on the Appendix. Based on the results, significance and limitations of this study, were discussed in detail.
Modeling and Simulation, especially in mobile ad hoc network(MANET), are the most effective way to analyze performance or optimize system parameters without establishing real network environment. Focusing mainly on overall network behaviors in MANET concerns dynamics of network transport operations, which can efficiently be characterized with event based system states rather than execution details of protocols. We thus consider the network as a discrete event system to analyze dynamics of network transport performance. Zeigler's set-theoretic DEVS(Discrete Event Systems Specification) formalism can support specification of a discrete event system in hierarchical, modular manner. The DEVSim++ simulation environment can not only provide a rigorous modeling methodology based on the DEVS formalism but also support modelers to develop discrete event models using the hierarchical composition methodology in object-orientation. This environment however hardly supports to specify connection paths of network nodes, which are continuously altered due to mobility of nodes. This paper proposes a DEVS-based modeling and simulation methodology of enabling node mobility, and develops DEVS models for the mobile ad hoc network. We also simulate developed models with the DEVSim++ engine to verify the proposal.
In these days, recommendation service in mobile environments is in the limelight due to the spread of mobile devices and an increase of information owing to advancement of computer network. The restaurant recommendation system reflecting user preference was proposed. This system uses Bayesian network to model user preference and analytical hierarchical process to recommend restaurants, but static inference model for user preference used in the system has some limitations that cannot manage changing user preference and enormous user survey must be preceded. This paper proposes a learning method for Bayesian network based on user requests. The proposed method is implemented on mobile devices and desktop, and we show the possibility of the proposed method through experiments.
In this paper, we present an animation toolkit based on motion mapping technique in a graphics user interface that can represent data structures necessary for generating character motions. The motion mapping means that an animation sequence generated once can be mapped to another object directly according a data structure in the graphics user interface. Users can generate animation sequences interactively using a mouse. These are obtained automatically by modifying motion data structures interactively. Compared with other conventional tools, the toolkit has different features that two hierarchical structures necessary for representing modeling and animation data are managed independently each other, and that animations generated can be applied to any other characters by connecting the two hierarchical structures in the user interface.

We propose a robust event date model to estimate the date of a target event by a combination of individual dates obtained from archaeological artifacts assumed to be contemporaneous. These dates are affected by errors of different types: laboratory and calibration curve errors, irreducible errors related to contaminations, and taphonomic disturbances, hence the possible presence of outliers. Modeling based on a hierarchical Bayesian statistical approach provides a simple way to automatically penalize outlying data without having to remove them from the dataset. Prior information on individual irreducible errors is introduced using a uniform shrinkage density with minimal assumptions about Bayesian parameters. We show that the event date model is more robust than models implemented in BCal or OxCal, although it generally yields less precise credibility intervals. The model is extended in the case of stratigraphic sequences that involve several events with temporal order constraints (relative dating), or with duration, hiatus constraints. Calculations are based on Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) numerical techniques and can be performed using ChronoModel software which is freeware, open source and cross-platform. Features of the software are presented in Vibet et al. (ChronoModel v1.5 user's manual, 2016). We finally compare our prior on event dates implemented in the ChronoModel with the prior in BCal and OxCal which involves supplementary parameters defined as boundaries to phases or sequences.

This article addresses robust Bayesian modeling for meta analysis which derives general conclusion by combining independently performed individual studies. Specifically, we propose hierarchical Bayesian models with unknown variances for meta analysis under priors which are scale mixtures of normal, and thus have tail heavier than that of the normal. For the numerical analysis, we use the Gibbs sampler for calculating Bayesian estimators and illustrate the proposed methods using actual data.

Cellular Automata(CA) has been used as modeling and computing paradigm for a long time. While studying the models of systems, it is seen that as the complexity of the physical system increase, the CA based model becomes very complex and becomes to difficult to track analytically. Also such models fail to recognize the presence of inherent hierarchical nature of a physical system. In this paper we analyze the properties of GF($2^p$) multiplue attractor cellular automata(GF($2^p$) MACA) C and give a method of synthesis of C which is a special class of hierarchical cellular automata proposed as an alternative to solve the problem.
