  • The grid computing is a technique to solve big problems such as a field of scientific technique by sharing the computing power and a big storage space of the numerous computers on the distributed network. The environment of the grid computing is composed with the WAN which has a different performance and a heterogeneous network condition. Therefore, it is more important to reflect heterogeneous performance elements to calculation work. In this paper, we propose an efficient method that decides work process number of each node by considering a network state information. The network state information considers the latency, the bandwidth and latency-bandwidth mixture information. First, using information which was measured, we compute the performance ratio and decide work process number of each node. Finally, RSL file was created automatically based on work process number which was decided, and then accomplishes a work. The network performance information is collected by the NWS. According to experimental results, the method which was considered of network performance information is improved respectively 23%, 31%, and 57%, compared to the methods of existing in a viewpoint of work amount, work process number, and node number.

  • Recently, the computing has developing in distributed object computing environment for supporting a programming paradigm of distributed application requiring interoperability between heterogeneous clients and servers. It involves the complex networking and the object-oriented technologies for various multimedia application service. In this paper, we construct the real-time object group platform for solving the difficulties of managements of distributed objects and the real-time constraints by requiring for real-time service supporting of applications in distributed computing environment. The existing researches are being tried to only improving the performance of systems by using real-time CORBA itself, or modifying the part of CORBA compliance. Hence, we design a new model of real-time object group platform that can support the real-time requirement without modifying the ORB. The structure of our real-time object group analyzed and defined the requirement about object management and real-time application service sides. And the role of the components of real-time object group is divided into 2 classes for reducing the side effect of interoperability between management and service. Also, we considered how to transparently express the parameters of real-time properties for clients and developers of server's service objects. If the expression of real-time parameters is transparent, then the developer can easily extend the real-time parameters simply and flexibly. Therefore, in this paper we defined the role of components of platform and described functions of each component and designed and then implemented the real-time object group platform. Finally, we showed the execution procedures of implemented our platform for verifying the functionality.

  • OGC(Open GIS Consortium) suggests the 'OpenGIS Simple Feature Specification for CORBA' which is the OpenGIS implementation specification for CORBA to specify standard interfaces for reuse and interoperation among distributed heterogeneous GIS resources in the CORBA distributed computing environment. An OpenGIS server that supports this implementation specification moat correctly implement all interfaces defined in the OpenGIS implementation specification to be interoperable with wrapped GISs efficiently. In this paper, we have designed and implemented an OpenGIS server based an object relational GIS, called GEUS that integrates GIS and database technologies to provide spatial data types and spatial operators from the DBMS engine level. In the CORBA distributed computing environment, clients can access geospatial data stored in GIS wrapped by the OpenGIS server through the standard interfaces defined in the OpenGIS implementation specification for CORBA. In addition, clients can use geospatial operation features provided by a back-end GIS and interoperate with other GISs.

  • A grid computing environment is one in which applications can be built over multiple resource nodes at widespread geographic locations. Grid environments seek to integrate and enable access to widely distributed compute resources. The compute resources in a grid environment are typically heterogeneous, with varying qualify and availability Hence, how computations are allocated to individual resources is extremely important in the design of a grid. This paper j\ulcorners concerned with resource management for metacomputing. We describe a resource management architecture using the two-level resource broker.

  • This paper proposes a mediator system which can provide a view management function in the today's heterogeneous computing environment including operating system database management systems and other software. while most mediators use view modification mechanism only, the use of view materialization is also considered in this research. In order to optimize the management cost for materialized views the proposed method applies a decay factor for modeling the access behaviors of views In other words, the most recently access pattern gets the highest attention in the optimization process all the necessary it with the CORBA.

  • Ubiquitous computing network comprises a variety of distributed service devices. Today Web services technology enables the heterogeneous devices to provide their own services and interact with each other via well-defined Internet protocol. Nevertheless, service devices in ubiquitous environments require more event-driven, autonomous interaction beyond rather passive service-oriented architecture of the present time. This paper presents an ECA (Event-Condition-Action) rule description language in an attempt to support capability for autonomous interactions among service-oriented devices in ubiquitous computing network. Specifically, the proposed WS-ECA is an XML-based ECA rule description language for web service-enabled devices. The rules are embedded in distributed devices which invoke appropriate services in the network if the rules are triggered by some internal or external events. The presented ECA-based device coordination approach is expected to facilitate seamless inter-operation among the web service-enabled devices in the emerging ubiquitous computing environment.

  • A mobile agent is a program which is capable of migrating autonomously from host to host in the heterogeneous network, to perform some computation on behalf of the user. Mobile agents have many advantages in the distributed computing environment. But they are likely to suffer many attacks on the security due to the mobility. In order to make use of a mobile agent in the real applications, the security issues must be addressed. We deal with the problem which is concerned with protecting a mobile agent in transit and detecting a mobile agent clone. In this paper we propose a trust center based secure mobile agent transfer protocol. This protocol transfers a mobile agent securely from host to host and detects a mobile agent clone. We further show the security of the protocol against many attacks.

  • In this paper, we design and implement an Internet GIS based on ObjectWeb, which makes to use various distributed services and object paradigm. We use CORBA, which is the standard of distributed object middleware and supports interoperability and reusability regardless of the execution environment and the implementation language of a distributed code, so that it easily extends established systems in networking environment and accesses distributed heterogeneous spatial data. Our method distributes parts of user interactive tasks to clients to reduce and to improve the system performance while existing approaches concentrate all workloads on a server. We implement a travel information system on the developed IGIS. Users receive services from remote servers employing a Java client system running on a web browser.
