  • In modem city life, the citizen get insufficient exercise and has high levels of stress. Increased Stress causes such minor things as tiredness, disease and mental fatigue, and increase brain blood pressure too. In this paper trying to design the multi-functional blood pressure monitor with airo-dynamic brain hemokinesis improvement function. So this system have developed for the improvement of flows in the capillary blood vessel of head and limbs. Also This system is able to measure brain blood pressure(BBP) which need diagnosis circulation state of brain blood. So, we extracted correlativity of blood pressure(BP) and BBP through clinical experiment. We confirmed that compare factor of BP with BBP is more useful factors for diagnosis state of brain hemokinesis.

The effects of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix(SR), Carthami Flos(CF) and Acori Graminei Rhizoma(AR) to cerebral contusion (뇌좌상(腦挫傷)에 단삼(丹蔘), 홍화(紅花), 석창포(石菖蒲)가 미치는 영향(影響))

  • This study was done to investigate effects of SR, CF and AR to angiogenesis of cerebral tissues, protecting damage of cerebral neurons and activating them in cerebral contusion-induced rats. I observed these conclusions as follows ; 1. Observation of VEGF-immunoreactive cells : Groups of administered AR were not meaningful in increasing VEGF-immunoreactive cells for 3 days and 7 days, groups of administered SR meaningfully increased them to control groups in all groups, and groups of administered CF meaningfully increased them to control groups in all groups, too, interestingly, increased double to control group for 7 days. 2. Observation on cerebral neurons by Cresyl violet stain : Dendrites and axons of groups of administered SR, AR for 3 days were clearly observed to control group. Cerebral neurons of groups of administered CF for 3days and 7 days were increased a little, but were not meaningful. In conclusion, AR will be careful of being used in cerebral contusion. CF and SR were effective to activating cerebral hemokinesis by inducing angiogenesis in trauma of tissue, but weakly to protecting trauma of cerebral neurons and activating them. I think more studies will be done in these facts.

Protein Fraction Extracted from the Earthworm Lumbricus rubellus Activates Proteinase Activated Receptor-2 and is Effective on Hemokinesis (적토룡 추출 단백분획의 프로테나제 유도 수용체-2의 활성화 및 형행개선 효과)

  • The proteinase-activated receptor (PAR-2) belongs to the family of seven transmembrane region receptors, like the thrombin receptor, it is activated by specific proteolytic clea vage of its extracellular amino terminus and a synthetic peptide (SLIGRL). The earthworm protein fraction (EPF) extracted from Lumbricus rubellus elicted dose- and endothelium-dependent relaxations in phenylephrine-contracted rat thoracic aorta, whereas heat inactivated EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml) had no effect. In the presence of the nitric oxide synthase inhibitor NG-methyl-L-arginine (1.8 micro M), EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml)-induced relaxations were partially inhibited. Furthermore, EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml) dramatically caused relaxation of thrombin-desenstized rat thoracic aorta. These results indicate that EPF activates PAR-2 in vascular endothelial cell. Intravenous injection of EPF (20 mg/kg, bolus) into anesthetized rats produced a marked depressor response. EPF (0 ~ 80 ${\mu}g$ /ml, gradient) was very effective on increasing of perfusion volume in rabbit ear vessel preparations. These results imply the usefulness of EPF as a vascular smooth muscle relaxant and indicate that the activation of PAR-2 may be a mechanism of EPF on hemokinetic improvement.
