1. Objectives Hiccup is one of common symptoms clinically and caused by various etiologies. also Hiccup is common comlication in Stroke patient. We have tried researching effect of herbal medicines(Jowesungcheong-tang). 2. Methods To heal the hiccup concurred in Taeumin with stroke patient, we used Jowesungcheong-tang. 3. Results A Taeumin patient diagnosed to have hiccup was, treated with Taeumin herbal medicines(Jowesungcheong-tang), and change of patient's symptoms and general condition were improved. 4. Conclusions The constitutional treatment with Jowesungcheong-tang may have an effect on management of hiccup. So we report the healing process and results of this patient in this study.

A special medical compression garment has been developed to be worn after surgery or treatment using an elastic fiber in which the amount of compression can be adjusted to a specified targeted area to reduce the formation of hypertrophic scarring. In order to develop this medical compression garments, specialized technical skill in fiber, compression class and body measurements are needed. This study provides product survey data for the development of medical compression garments. An investigation analyzed medical compression garments of 16 brands from 6 countries sold in the Korean market & online, such as Make Me Heal, Jobst, Bio Concepts, Design Veronique$^{(R)}$ Nouvelle and Leonisa$^{(R)}$ (USA), Respire(Germany), Malcom$^{(R)}$, Holistic garments and Jobskin(UK), Technomed, kanav Healthcare and Sindhoori surgicals(India), Soo medical and C&C medical(Korea), Secondskin(Australia). The main fibers of compression garments were nylon and spandex: in addition, the fiber content was different by country and brand. The number of compression classes of products was USA(4), UK(4), and India(4). For body measurements, USA and many brands used (bust, under bust, waist, hip, thigh, knee, calf, ankle, upper arm, elbow, wrist, armhole bicep) circumference and length.

We studied whether chemical strengthening can heal the flaws on soda-lime silicate glass. Artificial surface cracks were introduced on the glass by sharp indentation with various loads of 0.1 to 10 N. Then, the glasses with flaws were treated by ion-exchanging in KNO₃ melt. The change in the dimension of the crack on glass was measured by a digital microscope and a scanning electron microscope. The chemical strengthening treatment enhances the strength of the glass with flaws. It is thought that the melted KNO₃ not only forms the depth of the compressed layer of 7.5 ㎛, but also heals the cracks by infiltrating them and expanding the glass on both sides of the cracks. The critical length (2c) of the cracks on soda-lime glass that can be healed by chemical strengthening is 50 ㎛ or less.

In this study, phytochemicals extracted from sea mustard (SM) and sea mustard sporophyll (SMS) in ethanol solution have been analyzed and wound healing potential of the phytochemicals was investigated. In the phytochemical screening studies, the extract of SM and SMS includes several phytochemical compounds such as phytol, ascorbic acid, sitgmasta, fucosterol and ergosta. Cytotoxicity studies of the extract of SM and SMS with mouse macrophage RAW 264.7 cells showed on toxicity up to a high concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. Furthermore, the SM and SMS extract significantly reduces the production of nitric oxide (NO) induced lipopolysaccharide on RAW 264.7 cells with a dose-dependent manner. In addition, the extract of SM and SMS has the effect of enhancing the cell migration and invasion of fibroblast. These results demonstrate that the extract of SM and SMS could help to heal wound by reducing NO production and increasing cell migration.

This paper introduced about characteristics on the non-steady heat transfer of STS 304 hollow cylinder, In the non-steady state, the specific heat and conductivity are depended on the temperature variations, and these properties affect to the governing equation on heat conduction. But the most of numerical analysis on heat conduction is assumed to constant properties which is conductivity and specific heat. Assuming that conduction is assumed to constant properties which is conductivity and specific heat. Assuming that the properties are reacted sensitively, the numerical results can have the difference of between constant properties with non-constant properties. The main parameters are specific heat and conductivity. The temperature distributions of the STS 304 hollow cylinder became in steady state after 4 minutes in case of the constant properties. As the conductivity in varied with temperature, the temperature distributions became in steady state after 15 minutes. Therefore, a numerical analysis of the non steady state heat transfer will has to apply that conductivity varied with temperature.

In this study, single-phase heat transfer experiments were conducted with oil cooler with offset strip fin using water. An experimental water loop has been developed to measure the single-phase heat transfer coefficient in a vertical oil cooler. Downflow of hot water in one channel receives heal from the cold water upflow of water in the other channel. Similar to the case of a plate heat exchanger, even at a very low Reynolds number, the flow in the on cooler with offset strip fin remains turbulent. The present data show that the heat transfer coefficient increases with the Reynolds number. Based. On the present data, empirical correlation of the heat transfer coefficient was proposed. Also, performance prediction analysis for oil cooler were executed and compared with experiments. ${\varepsilon}-NTU$ method was used in this prediction program. Independent variables are flow rates and inlet temperature. Compared with experimental data, the accuracy of the program is within the error bounds of ${\pm}5$% in the heat transfer rate.

Temporomandibular joint dislocation causes considerable pain, discomfort, and swelling. The anatomic construction of the articular fossa and the eminentia articularis may predispose to dislocation, and weakness of the connective tissue forming the capsule is believed to be a predisposing factor. The capsule may be stretched and, more rarely, torn. Dislocation may be unilateral or bilateral and may occur spontaneously after stretching of the mouth to its extreme open position, such as during a yawn or during a routine dental operation. Manual reduction with the patient under muscle-relaxing condition or anesthesia is recommended method. After the reduction of an acute dislocation, immobilization of the jaw is recommended to allow the stretched and sometimes torn capsule to heal, thus preventing recurrence. A Barton's bandage may be applied for 2 to 3 weeks to prevent the patient from opening the jaw too wide. But, it results in recurrent dislocation in the neurologically disabled patient, because of loose intermaxillary fixation. This is a case report about management of recurrent temporomandibular joint dislocation by multiple loop wirings and intermaxillary elastics in cerebrovascular accident patient.

Hydroxyapatite (HAp)-based materials have attracted considerable attention on account of their excellent stability and recrystallization. Nanoscale HAp powders with a mean particle size of 200 nm were used to regenerate the enamel layers of damaged teeth. An artificially scratched tooth was immersed in a nanoscale HAp powder suspension in d.i. water (HAp of 70 wt%) at 37 ${^{\circ}C}$ for a period of 1~3 months. SEM and AFM showed that the scratched surface was ultimately inlaid with HAp after three months and the roughness increased from 2.80 to 5.51. Moreover, the hardness of the neo-generated HAp layer on the crown was similar to that of the innate layer. $Ca^{2+}$ and ${PO_4}^{3-}$ ions from the HAp powders dissolved in d.i. water were precipitated on the tooth to produce cemented pasteson the enamel surface due to its high recrystallizing characteristics, resulting in a hard neo-regenerated HAp layer on the enamel layer. This nanoscale HAp powder solution might be used to heal decayed teeth as well as to develop tooth whitening appliances.

1. Objectives Hiccup is one of common symptoms clinically and caused by various etiologies. Persistent hiccup is defined as hiccup lasting more than 48 hours. We have tried researching effect of herbal medicines(Dokhwaljihwang-tang, Yangkyuksanhwa-tang). 2. Methods To heal the persistent hiccup, we used Dokhwaljihwang-tang and Yangkyuksanhwa-tang. 3. Results A Soyangin patient diagnosed to have persistent hiccup was, treated with Soyangin herbal medicines (Dokhwaljihwang-tang and Yangkyuksanhwa-tang), and change of his symptom & general condition was managed. 4. Conclusions The constitutional treatment with Soyangin herbal medicines(Dokhwaljihwang-tang, Yangkyuksanhwa-tang) may have an effect on management of persistent hiccup. Further study on management of this disease is needed.

1. Objectives Hyperemesis Gravidarum is one of common symptoms clinically and caused by pregnancy. This is defined as vomiting sufficiently pernicious to produce weight loss, dehydration, acid-base imbalance. In severe case, it also leads to neurologic abnormality including confusion, gate disturbance, nystagmus. We have tried researching effect of herbal medicines, Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san. 2. Methods To heal the Hyperemesis Gravidarum, we used Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san. 3. Results Hyperemesis Gravidarum of a Soyangin patient was treated with a herb-medicine, and change of her subjective symptom & general condition was managed. 4. Conclusions The constitutional treatment with herb-medicine (Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san) was efficacious against Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Further study on management of this disease is needed.
