$CeO_2$/$BaTiO_3$이중완충막을 이용한 YBCO 박막 제작 (Fabrication of YBCO Superconducting Film with $CeO_2$/$BaTiO_3$Double Buffer Layer)

  • We have fabricated good quality superconducting YBa$_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$(YBCO) thin films on Hastelloy(Ni-Cr-Mo alloys) metallic substrates with CeO$_2$and BaTiO$_3$buffer layers in-situ by pulsed laser deposition in a multi-target processing chamber. YBCO film with CeO$_2$single buffer layer shows T$_{c}$ of 71.64 K and the grain size less than 0.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. When BaTiO$_3$ is used as a single buffer layer, the grain size of YBCO is observed to be larger than that of YBCO/CeO$_2$by 200 times and the transition temperature of the film is enhanced to be about 84 K. CeO$_2$/BaTiO$_3$double buffer layer has been adopted to enhance the superconducting properties, which results in the enhancement of the critical temperature and the critical current density to be about 85 K and 8.4$\times$10$^4$ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 77 K, respectively mainly due to the enlargement of the grain size of YBCO film.ilm.

Fatigue Life of the Repair TIG Welded Hastelloy X Superalloy

  • Hastelloy X in this study was applied in jet engine F-15 air fighter as shroud to isolate the engine from outer skin. After 15 years operation at elevated temperature the mechanical properties decreased gradually due to the precipitation of continues second phases in the grain boundaries and precipitated inside the grain. The crack happened at the edge of the shroud due to the thermal and mechanical stress from jet engine. Selective TEM analysis found that the grain boundaries consist of $M_{23}C_6$ carbide, $M_6$ Ccarbide and small percentage of sigma(${\sigma}$) phase. Furthermore, it was confirmed the nano size of ${\sigma}$ and miu (${\mu}$) phase inside the grain. In this study, it was investigated the microstructure of the degraded shroud component and HAZ of repair welded shroud. In the HAZ, it was observed the dissolution of the $M_{23}C_6$ carbides and smaller precipitates, the migration of the undissolved larger $M_{23}C_6$ carbide and $M_6$ Ccarbide. It is also observed the liquation due to the simply melt of the segregated precipitates in the grain boundaries. Interestingly, the segregated second phases which simply melt in the grain boundaries more easily happened at higher heat input welding condition. High temperature tensile test was done at $300^{\circ}C$, $700^{\circ}C$ and $900^{\circ}C$. It was obtained that the toughness of welded sample is lower compare to the non-welded sample. The solution heat treatment at $1170^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes was suggested to obtain a better mechanical properties of the shroud. The high cycle fatigue number of the repair welded shroud shows a much lower compare to the shroud. In addition, the high cycle fatigue number at room temperature after solution heat treatment was almost double compare to the before solution heat treatment under 420-500MPa stress amplitude. However, the high cycle fatigue number of repaired welded sample was shown a much lower compare to the non- welded shroud and solution treated shroud. One of the main reasons to decrease the tensile strength and the high cycle fatigue properties of the repair welded shroud is the formation of the liquid phase in HAZ.

9%Ni강용 Ni합금 용접재료 (Ni Alloy Welding Consumables for 9%NIckel Steel)

  • 본 해설에서는 Inconel계와 Hastelloy계로 구분되는 9%Ni강용 피복아크용접봉을 중심으로 LNG저장탱크 용접시공시 발생 가능한 문제점들을 검토하고, Ni합금 피복봉의 심선과 피복제와 관련한 일반적인 제조특성을 살펴보았다. 또한 현재 국내 현장에서 용접시공에 사용되는 용접재료의 화학적, 기계적 특성과 함께 용접작업성을 평가한 결과 이들 피복아크용접봉들은 규격이 정한 요구조건들을 만족하면서 비교적 양호한 용접작업성을 확보하고 있는 것으롤 판단되었다. 이상의 검토결과는 향후 9%Ni강용 Ni합금 피복아크용접봉의 국산화 개발에 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • In order to apply for pickling line in cold rolling process, a high power magnetostrictive ultrasonic transducer was developed. The transducer is expected to overcome the shortcomings of conventional high power ultrasonic transducers. The transducer consists of Fe-Co-V alloy sheets for the magnetostrictive material, an ultrasonic horn made of Hastelloy to withstand acid solution, and electric driving circuit. In the development, the transducer was designed with the theoretical and numerical methods such as finite element method, and was characterized with experimental water tanks.   • Ni alloy tape is electropolished to be used as a metal substrate for fabrication of IBAD (ion-Beam Assisted Deposition)-MgO texture template fur HTS coated conductor. Electropolishing is needed to obtain a very smooth surface of Ni alloy tape because the in-plane texture of templates is sensitive to the roughness of metal substrate. The critical current of YBCO coated conductor depends on the texture of YBCO that depends on the texture of the IBAD MgO layer. And so the smoothness of the metal substrate is directly related to the superconducting properties of the coated conductor. In this study, we have prepared a reel-to-reel electropolishing apparatus to polish the Ni alloy tapes for IBAD. Various electropolishing conditions were investigated to improve the surface roughness. Hastelloy tape is continuously electropolished with high polishing current density (0.5 ∼ 2 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$) and fast processing time (1 ∼ 3 min). Polished hastelloy tapes have surface roughness(RMS) of below 1 nm on a 5 ${\times}$ 5 $\mu\m^2$ from AFM and SEM.

  • 플라즈마 용사법(plasma spray method)으로 제작된 상용 가스 터빈 연소기의 finned segment의 열차폐용 코팅계, ZrO2-8wt%Y2O3 top coat/Ni-26Cr-5Al-0.5Y bond coat/Hastelloy X superalloy 기판에서 NiCrAlY bond coat의 산화 거동과 열피로 파괴에 대하여 조사하였다. 생성된 bond coat의 주산화물은 NiO, CrO2, Al2O3였다. ZrO2/bond coat계면에서 생성된 산화물의 분포는 고온에서의 사용 전에 이 계면 아래에 얇은 층의 Al2O3가없는 곳에서는 NiO 산화층 및에 Cr2O3와 Al2O3가 혼합된 형태를 나타내었다. 열피로에 의해 박리된 시편의 파면을 관찰한 결과, 파괴는 주로 ZrO2/산화층 계면보다 세라믹층내로 약간 치우쳐서 일어나지만, 산화층 내에서도 약간 일어남을 알 수 있었다.

  • 수소를 대량으로 생산하기 위한 원자력수소생산시스템에서 공정열교환기는 초고온가스로로부터 생성된 초고온 열을 화학반응공정으로 전달하는 핵심기기이다. 한국원자력연구원에 구축되어 있는 소형가스루프에서 Hastelloy-X 로 제작된 소형 공정열교환기(PHE) 시제품에 대한 성능시험이 수행되고 있다. 그동안 소형 PHE 시제품에 대한 고온구조해석은 용접부의 기계적 물성변화를 고려하지 않은 해석이 주로 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 계장화 압입시험으로부터 얻은 용접부 기계적 물성치를 이용하여 고온구조해석을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.

  • 수소를 대량으로 생산하기 위한 원자력수소생산시스템에서 공정열교환기는 초고온가스로로부터 생성된 초고온 열을 화학반응공정으로 전달하는 핵심기기이다. 한국원자력연구원에 구축되어 있는 소형 가스루프에서 $Hastelloy^{(R)}$-X 로 제작된 중형 공정열교환기 시제품에 대한 성능시험이 계획되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 중형 공정열교환기의 고온구조건전성을 파악하기 위한 선행 연구로서 소형가스루프 시험조건하에서 중형 공정열교환기 시제품의 고온구조해석을 이전 연구에서 확립된 경계조건을 적용하여 수행하였다. 해석결과는 소형가스루프에서의 중형 공정열교환기 시제품에 대한 성능시험 결과와 비교할 예정이다.
