The 'Hard Matte' was the method being wide-screen to the directors wanted more vivid and made real films to the audience at the beginning of cinematography. The hard matte have changed as unique device in films as opening and closing credit titles making impressions which being captured strongly to the people at the time the wide-screen has developed. In HDTV has invented in NHK the hard matte is called 'letter box style and on music video channel we can see the style as easily. That kind of hard matte images on music video have effected to commercial films are seen recently. But some of commercial films have problems like only expending horizontal way. The hard matte is one of important ways that could regulate the art contents with art form. Korean film image makers as directors and production designers must know the role and function of hard matter has arranged reasonable in foreign films.

The temperature is a sense that can be felt by touch and sight. However, the concept of the temperature sensation is rarely used together with the concept of visual sensation and tactile sensation. In this study, the sensation of the temperature sensed through tactile and visual sense was investigated by the visual temperature depending on color and material characteristics. The textile was selected as a sample that could include color and material characteristics. The textile sample was composed of each 15-16 kinds of Yellow, Red, Blue, and Green of total 90 samples. The analytical method was to analyze first, the warm-cool of the colors of Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, and then to the visual temperature according to visual classification and tactile classification. And we investigated the correlation of the visual temperature depending on weight, thickness, and unevenness. As a result, the number of textiles felt by Cool and Warm differed according to the warm-cool of the colors feeling in the same textile. However, the visual temperature was different to each classification of textile. In particular, it was noticeable in thin, see-through and matte textiles. In relation to weight, thickness, unevenness and the visual temperature, the textile classification related to the weight is a classification of a hard, matte textile, and the textile classification related to the thickness is a thin, see-through textile.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the narrative meaning of the peritext in the picture-book of 『The Legend of Pat-bing-su』. For the purpose, based on the narrative components proposed by Nam and Kim, the narrative meanings of the peritext were analyzed. As the results, the peritexts of 『The Legend of Red Pat-bing-su』 include basic information of the title, author's name, and publication information, and physical elements of hard cover binding with matte rectangular paper that matches the narrative, which support prior understanding of the narratives. In addition, the peritext components such as covers, endpapers, title page, and copyright page lead readers to predict or expand narratives components to predict, expand, or transform the narrative, and provide additional information for understanding plots or genres.
