The purpose of this study was to suggest the knowlege and scientific information of the damage according to the heavy metal exposure level of hair coloring manipulations. The study was investigated variations of the heavy metal contents(Pb, Zn, Cu, Mn, Fe, Ni) in hairdye and human hairs by 1 and 2 times of hair coloring manipulations. The results were as follows; 1. Mean heavy metal contents in colorant of hairdye were 0.250ppm(Pb), 33.650ppm(Zn), 0.800ppm(Cu), 0.675ppm(Mn), 31.050ppm(Fe), 1.700ppm(Ni). In oxidant of hairdye, It were 0.225ppm(Pb), 35.450ppm(Zn), 0.575ppm(Cu), 0.075ppm(Mn), 16.600ppm(Fe), 1.500ppm(Ni). 2. Mean heavy metal contents were 2.950ppm(Pb), 29.000ppm(Zn), 9.400ppm(Cu), 1.075ppm(Mn), 40.775ppm(Fe), 1.950ppm(Ni) in virgin hairs, 3.025ppm(Pb), 40.250ppm(Zn), 9.650ppm(Cu), 1.350ppm(Mn), 42.900ppm(Fe), 2.200ppm(Ni) in 1 time of coloring hairs, 3.350ppm(Pb), 51.650ppm(Zn), 10.950ppm(Cu), 1.475ppm(Mn), 44.350ppm(Fe), 2.225ppm(Ni) in 2 times of coloring hairs.

본 연구에서는 발아된 녹두 추출물의 항염증 효능 및 화장품 응용에 관한 연구이다. 동일 농도인 $250{\mu}g/m{\ell}$에서 산화질소 생성 억제 비교시 발아 녹두 추출물이 가장 높은 억제 효과를 보였다. 또한 수용성 용매에 따른 결과를 비교하였을 때 1,3-부틸렌글라이콜을 사용하고, 5일간 발아시킨 녹두를 추출한 것이 가장 높은 산화질소 억제 효과를 나타내었다. 염증 반응이 많이 일어나는 염모제에 발아 녹두 추출물을 적용한 결과 발아 녹두 추출물을 포함한 염모제가 포함하지 않은 것 보다 높은 산화질소 억제 효과를 보였다. 따라서 발아 녹두 추출물은 화장품에 자극 완화제와 항염증 소재로 응용이 기대된다.

Dyeing properties of the colorants extracted from pomegranate hull on hair were investigated to study its efficay of natural hair coloring dye. Effect of dyeing condition and mordanting on dye uptake, color change and colorfastness were explored. In addition, tensile strength retention is measured and the surface of the hair was observed by SEM. The water extracted pomegranate hull was concentrated and freeze-dried for preparing colorant powders. It was considered that ionic bonding was involved in the adsorption of pomegranate colorants to hair. Pomegranate hull colorants produced greyish brown colors on hair and the hair mordanted with Fe showed dark brown color. Mordant except Fe did not significantly increased dye uptake. Mordant except Cu increased light fastness, mordant except Cr increased washing fastness. SEM to observe the hair is damaged by ultraviolet light and cleaning. This is consistent with the results of tensile strength retention. From the results of colorfastness th washing and light, it was concluded that colorants from pomegranate hull can be need as a semi-permanent natural hair coloring dye.

Now para-phenylenediamine(PPDA) is generally used as component of most hairdyes because it can be used more conveniently and effectively than the others. But PPDA become known to cause side effects such as skin sensitization, contact dermatitis and eye irritation. So this study was done to restudy the safety of hairdyes containing PPDA. The results of experiment were as follows. 1. As a result of primary skin irritation test and eye irritation test in white rabbits, the solution containing 5% PPDA(in saline) were classified as weak irritant but four kinds of commercial hairdyes containing PPDA were proved not to have any irritation. 2. As a result of skin sensitization test in guinea pig, four kinds of commercial hairdyes were classified as Calss I(week irritant) but three kinds of commercial hairdyes induced skin sensitization for guinea pig to 5% in test groups. These results indicate that the actual toxicity of commercial hairdyes(four kinds) is negligible. But based on the results of experiment, it is thought that there is possibility of some commercial hairdyes to induce skin sensititization.

The purpose of this study is to classify frequency of advertisement and types of advertisement by items and to analyze a primary factors were factors were reflected in the costumes by a policy of rule under the Japanese rule. Data was MaIl Shin Bo\`s advertisement connected with costumes from 1910 to 1945 years. The results are as follows : 1. The order of the advertisement\`s frequency was footwear, cosmetics, soap[, headgear, western style clothes, precious metals and so on. 2. The type of the advertisement was a format that transmits informs in all items. Cosmetics, hairdye and shampoo applied positive appeals. 3. In the military government, the advertisement\`s frequency connected with costumes was 37.5% and a shoe store was the first order. A shoes and headgear were high level, because of these were essential imports and were allowded as a proper articles for a western style clothes by a civilized policy. In the political periods of civilization, the advertisement\`s frequency connected with costumes was 54%. This result indicates industrial development of this period. Soap was the first order during 1924∼1933 and cosmetics was the first order during 1934∼1940. High level of the advertisement\`s frequency in these imports were reflected by a cultural policy as a link of an appeasement measure In the political periods of a racial liquidation, the advertisement\`s frequency connected with costumes was 8.5% and the advertisement\`s order by items was cosmetics, a shoe store. The reason was that reflected the phases of the times that was serious by a shortage of goods and an reinforcement of wartime\`s attitudes throughout war.
