Purpose - This study examines the adverse press coverage that has increased in proportion to the remarkable growth of various kinds of franchise businesses in the food service industry. Today, the trust of franchisees in relation to their franchisor, and the maintenance of good relations between the two, has become a significant social issue. This study investigates relationship satisfaction and the long-term commitment between the franchisor and franchisee. Research design, data, methodology - We used a path analysis to investigate the relationship between justice and trust, trust and relationship satisfaction, justice and relationship satisfaction, trust and long-term commitment, and relationship satisfaction and long-term commitment. Structural Equation Modeling and a Sobel test were used to investigate the mediating effects of trust and relationship satisfaction. Data were collected from 237 Food Franchisees in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province in order to test the theoretical model and its hypotheses. Two research methodologies are generally used in the distribution management field. For this study, an empirical method was used. Results - A causal analysis was carried out to test if the research model has a sufficient fit index (for instance, χ2 = 46.694, df = 10, p = .000, GFI = 0.946, AGFI = 0.850, RMR = 0.034, NFI = 0.966, CFI = 0.973), and the results showed that the model was sufficient, thus demonstrating the suitability of the research model. Each hypothesis had a positive influence, both on long-term commitment and relationship satisfaction. Justice with the franchisor had a positive influence on trust. Relation satisfaction cognized by franchisees was found to positively influence long-term commitment. The franchisee perception of justice in relation to the franchisor had no significant influence on long-term commitment. The study investigated the hypothesis that trust could mediate justice and long-term commitment, and that relationship satisfaction could also mediate long-term commitment Both trust and relationship satisfaction were found to be important for long-term commitment. Specifically, trust sub-factors and justice sub-factors influenced long-term commitment. Identification-based and knowledge-based trust were more important than calculus-based trust. Distributive justice was deemed more important than procedural justice; distributive justice should thus be strengthened. Conclusions - Both franchisor and franchisee were independent businesses. Evidently however, the franchisor could not ensure profit without long-term commitment from the franchisee. As for the success of the franchise business, the franchisor should carry out appropriate strategies leading to a satisfactory relationship. For example, transparency makes it possible to maintain and enhance trust and to improve relationship satisfaction. Just relations between franchisor and franchisee should make it possible to maintain and enhance the franchisee's trust. The franchisor should provide a variety of information with respect to the franchisee's business success. Finally, in order to improve the franchisee's long-term commitment, the franchisor should ensure a just approach with trust and relationship satisfaction among their strategies.
Recently, the notion of "increasing returns" has been popular not only in academia but also in industries. This notion has been drawn from prior research on network effects, which showed that the market evolution would lock in to a dominant technology. However, the long history of technological change has rarely shown the possibility of lock-in to an inferior technology. How could the market with network effects make transition between incompatible technologies regimes by escaping the lock-in? This paper analyzes the effectiveness of R&D and technological choice to investigate the sources of the dynamic capabilities in the presence of network effects and uncertain technological progress. Why does the market sometimes work against a radical technology, and why, at other times, does the market operate in favor of it? This study is to address this question by modeling the situation of two competing technologies in the presence of network effects. The numerical analysis indicates that the evolution strategy of compatibility is more likely to increase the chance of firm growth when a majority of customers are not power users or when demand for an old technology has been escalated. But when there are a substantial number of power users or when a new technology emerges before such an escalation of demand, the revolution strategy of compelling performance is more likely to be effective. The result suggests a potential mechanism for overcoming the lock-in problem. When the market exhibits some inertia to an obsolete technology, which is reinforced by the increasing customer value with respect to backward compatibility, the survival of a new technology depends on power users. When many power users are cultivated by firms' technological efforts regarding the new technology, the market is less likely to lock into an obsolete technology. Indeed, in the workstation market, where power users characterize much of the demand, innovators like Sun successfully switched to the RISC architecture.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the suspended solids and eutrophication processes relationships in Chungju lake using CE-QUAL-W2, two-dimensional (2D) longitudinal/vertical hydrodynamic and water quality model. For water quality modeling, the lake segmentation was configured as 7 branches system according to their shape and tributary distribution. The model was calibrated (2010) and validated (2008) using 2 years of field data of water temperature, suspended solids (SS), total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP) and algae (Chl-a). The water temperature began to increase in depth from April and the stratification occurred at about 10 m early July heavy rain. The high SS concentration of the interflow density currents entering from the watershed was well simulated especially for July 2008 heavy rainfall event. The simulated concentration range of TN and TP was acceptable, but the errors might occur form the poor reflection for sedimentation velocity of nitrogen component and adsorption-sediment of phosphorus in model. The concentration of Chl-a was simulated well with the algal growth patterns in summer of 2010 and 2008, but the error of under estimation may come from the use of width-averaged velocity and concentration, not considering the actual to one side inclination by wind effect.
The objectives of this study were to analyze the longitudinal mediation effects of maternal parenting stress and psychosocial development of infant on the influence of paternal involvement during infancy to children's peer interactions. For these objectives, latent growth modeling was used and adapted to the data taken from the Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC), Wave I (0-year olds) to Wave III (2-year olds) and Wave V(4-year olds) to Wave VII(6-year olds). During a total of six years, 1,018 parent responded. The major results of this study were as follows. First, maternal parenting stress(initial status) had a significant mediating effect on the influence of paternal involvement(initial status) to children's play interaction(initial status). Second, maternal parenting stress(initial status/change rate) had a longitudinal mediating eff ect on the influence of paternal involvements(initial status/change rate) to children's play disruption-disconnection interactions(initial status/change rate). Third, psychosocial development of infants(initial status/change rate) had a longitudinal mediating effect on the influence of paternal involvement(initial status/change rate) to children's play interactions(initial status/change rate). Fourth, psychosocial development of infant(initial status) had a significant mediating effect on the influence of paternal involvement(initial status) to children's play disruption-disconnection interactions(initial status). The implications of the findings of the current study and suggestions for future research were also discussed.

Recently, Through the linkage and opening, the fusion of the spatial information, it is necessary for productive ecosystem to provide a variety of information and to increase the civil use. Depending on the economic growth, demand for quality of life and well-being has been on the increase. Spatial information service contents for the public convenience has emerged to solve the problem such as health, safety, welfare and discomfort of daily life This study aims to implement search services for a tailored residence space through the three-dimensional data modeling on cadastral information. To achieve this goal, we established the requirements for deriving a registered object by investigating recent trend with respect to existing cadastral data model and defined property and relationship. Focusing on Songpa-gu, Jamsil station in Seoul, we implemented search services for a tailored residence space for three-dimensional right analysis in conjunction with residential and commercial complex building. As a result, we derived a way to supply 3D cadastre information through open platforms (VWorld) and to represent efficiently, which is able to improve the quality of spatial information service contents for the public convenience as well as to widen utilization of information.

We proposed an unified design methodology and verification platform for giga-scale System on Chip (SoC). According to the growth of VLSI integration, the existing RTL design methodology has a limitation of a production gap because a design complexity increases. A verification methodology need an evolution to overcome a verification gap. The proposed platform includes a high level synthesis, and we develop a power-aware verification platform for low power design and verification automation using it's results. We developed a verification automation and power-aware verification methodology based on control and data flow graph (CDFG) and an abstract level language and RTL. The verification platform includes self-checking and the coverage driven verification methodology. Especially, the number of the random vector decreases minimum 5.75 times with the constrained random vector algorithm which is developed for the power-aware verification. This platform can verify a low power design with a general logic simulator using a power and power cell modeling method. This unified design and verification platform allow automatically to verify, design and synthesis the giga-scale design from the system level to RTL level in the whole design flow.
Hydration is the main reason for the growth of the material properties. An exact parameter to control the chemical and physical process is not the time, but the degree of hydration. Therefore, it is reasonable that development of all material properties and the formation of microstructure should be formulated in terms of degree of hydration. Mathematical formulation of degree of hydration is based on combination of reaction rate functions. The effect of moisture conditions as well as temperature on the rate of reaction is considered in the degree of hydration model. This effect is subdivided into two contributions: water shortage and water distribution. The former is associated with the effect of W/C ratio on the progress of hydration. The water needed for progress of hydration do not exist and there is not enough space for the reaction products to form. The tatter is associated with the effect of free capillary water distribution in the pore system. Physically absorption layer does not contribute to progress of hydration and only free water is available for further hydration. In this study, the effects of chemical composition of cement, W/C ratio, temperature, and moisture conditions on the degree of hydration are considered. Parameters that can be used to indicate or approximate the real degree of hydration are liberated heat of hydration, amount of chemically bound water, and chemical shrinkage, etc. Thus, the degree of heat liberation and adiabatic temperature rise could be determined by prediction of degree of hydration.
'Entrepreneurship' which means spirit or activity seeking new value by challenging boldly the uncertainty is one of the most important concept in 21st century business environment. Franchise Industry taking a relationship with distribution industry also needs entrepreneurship. As franchise industry consists of small and medium enterprises, the entrepreneurship of franchisor's CEO is important for the franchisor's growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing on the entrepreneurship of franchisor's CEO, and the effect of the CEO's entrepreneurship on franchisor's performance. For this purpose, this study set CEO's psychological characteristics, market characteristics, and social-institutional characteristics as independent variables, CEO's entrepreneurship as parameter variables, and franchisor's performance as dependent variables. And to analyze this study model, this study collected questionnaires from 152 franchisors' CEOs, and uses SEM(Structural Equation Modeling). As the result, 'CEO's Entrepreneurship' influenced on both 'Franchisor's Financial Performance' and 'Franchisor's Non Financial Performance'. The results of this study provide some guides for franchisor's CEO and government policies.

The particulate matters (PM10 and PM2.5) and ammonia emitted from livestock farms as dispersed to urban and residential areas can increase the public's concern over the health problem, social conflicts, and air quality. Understanding the atmospheric dispersion of such matters is important to prevent the problems for the regulatory purposes. In this study, AERMOD modeling was performed to predict the dispersion of livestock particulate matters and ammonia in Gwangju metropolitan city and five surrounding cities. The five cities were divided into 40 sub-zones to model the area-based emissions which varied with the number of livestock farms, species and growth stages of the animals. As a result, the concentrations of PM10, PM2.5 and ammonia resulted from livestock farms located in the surrounding cities were 2.00 ㎍ m-3, 0.30 ㎍ m-3 and 0.04 ppm in the southwestern part of Gwangju based on the average concentration of 1 hour. These values accounted for 0.7% of PM10 concentration, 0.5% of PM2.5 concentration, and 0.4% of the ammonia concentration in Gwangju, contributing to a small amount of air pollution compared to other sources. As preventive measures, the plantation was applied to high emission source areas to reduce particulate matters and ammonia emissions by 35% and 31%, respectively, and resulted in decrease of the area of influence by 57% for particulate matters and 59% for ammonia.
The purpose of this study was to identify the longitudinal patterns of marital satisfaction, characteristics of each pattern, influencing factors and the difference on self-esteem, among married couples who experienced unemployment. To achieve this, the 443 married couples, who were initially employed in the first year but unemployed in next 5 years were extracted from the $2^{nd}$ to $11^{st}$ waves of Korean Welfare Panel Study(KoWePS) data. The results showed that there are five patterns on marital satisfactions of couple who experienced unemployment: maintaining low-level, mid-level, continuous declining, rebound after sharp declining, and maintaining high-level. In addition to this, the groups that maintain the marital satisfaction showed higher self-esteem than the groups that showed positive or negative change in marital relationship. Based on these results, this study suggested political and practical intervention to maintain the satisfaction of marital relationship and their self-esteem in a high level.
