학교교육의 촌지문제에 관한 학부모의 인식 (A Study on of the recognition on the problem a token of parents' gratitude)

  • Although the problem about a token of parents' gratitude is restricted by small number of teachers, it must be solved for normal and good schooling. The purpose of this study was to investigate the problem about a token of parents' gratitude, an extent of a token of parents' gratitude, seriousness of a token of parents' gratitude, the experience of a token of parents' gratitude, an amount of money a token of parents' gratitude, the time of a token of parents' gratitude, a compensation of a token of parents' gratitude using a questionnaire to 549 parents. And a Chi-square test was used as a research tool for this study. This study indicates that many parents recognize a token of parents' gratitude as money or gift certificate. And most parents recognize different significantly about a token of parents' gratitude according to teachers' sex, ages, level of school, and type of school. We do not need a vast and experimental revolution in education based on unproved reasoning. If we want to be normal and good schooling, we have to make an effort small changes which solve a problem of a token of parents' gratitude. Our educational policies have to move from vast approaches generated from 'above' with political purpose to more particular approaches based on specific problems and generated by the community.

A Concept Analysis of Gratitude in Patients Based on Rodgers' Evolutionary Method

  • This article presents a concept analysis of the gratitude experience of diseased patients. The Rodgers' Evolutionary Method was used for conducting the analysis. A search of CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycARTICLES, and Springer databases was conducted using "gratitude or appreciation or thanks" and "patient or illness" as a key word, 22 final articles were selected. Three critical attributes of gratitude in patients were identified: positive emotions, acceptance of the current status, and a driving force to plant the will of life. In addition, two antecedents of gratitude in patients were identified: interactions with people or the environment, and the perception of a favorable stimuli or help. Two consequences of gratitude in patients were identified: an increased compliance in implemented treatment, and an enhancement of trust relationship. The concept analysis describes diseased patients' gratitude. This paper will become the basis for future clinical research related to diseased patients' gratitude.

부모 양육행동이 청소년의 감사성향에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parenting Behaviors on Dispositional Gratitude of Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between perceived parenting behaviors and dispositional gratitude of adolescent children in Korea. Participants consisted of 403 high school students from the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas. Dispositional gratitude of adolescents and parenting behaviors (including respect, lessons, attention, and lack of trust) were reported by adolescents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression analyses. The results were as follows. First, the average levels of parental lack of trust and maternal attention were different as a function of gender. Second, girls showed higher levels of dispositional gratitude than boys. Third, greater parental respect, lessons, and attention were linked to higher levels of dispositional gratitude of adolescent children; whereas lack of trust was linked to lower levels of dispositional gratitude. Fourth, paternal lessons was the most meaningful factor in explaining the level of dispositional gratitude in boys while maternal attention was the most meaningful factor in girls. These results suggest that parents play an important role in the development of dispositional gratitude in adolescents. Differential parental roles were discussed to promote the level of dispositional gratitude for adolescents.

인지행동적 감사프로그램이 초등학생의 감사성향과 행복감에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Cognitive Behavioral Gratitude Program on Gratitude Disposition and Happiness for Elementary School Students)

  • 본 연구는 감사에 대한 심리학적 접근을 중심으로 경험적 연구들을 검토하고, 감사의 정의와 심리적 특성을 개관하여 감사가 행복 및 정신건강에 미치는 영향, 감사증진프로그램의 필요성에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 초등학교 고학년 학생의 발달 단계에 맞는 인지행동적 감사프로그램을 개발하여 초등학생의 감사성향과 행복감에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 대전광역시 소재 G초등학교 5학년 학생 62명(남 30명, 여 32명)중 연구자의 담당 학급학생 31명(남 15명, 여 16명)을 실험집단으로, 다른 학급 학생 31명(남 15명, 여 16명)을 통제집단으로 선정하였다. 전체 10회기로 구성되어 있는 본 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위해 두 집단 간의 사전검사와 사후검사에 대한 차이검증을 하였으며, 실험집단과 통제집단의 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 사후검사 점수에 대하여 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 하였다. 연구 결과, 본 인지행동적 감사프로그램은 초등학교 5학년 학생의 감사성향과 행복감을 향상시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

감사 증진 프로그램이 교사와 어머니가 인식한 유아의 공격성에 미치는 영향 (The influence of gratitude enhancement program on preschoolers' aggression perceived by their teacher and mother)

  • This study was designed to examine the influence of gratitude enhancement program on preschoolers' aggression perceived by their teacher and mother. The subjects in this study were 40 four-year-old children in kindergarten in U city. This study employed a pre/post-test control group design, and so all subjects were assigned to an experimental group(gratitude enhancement program) or comparative group(general education program according to the year curriculum). Preschoolers' aggression was measured by the teacher and mother of the subjects and the collected data were analyzed by independent and paired t-test. This study also computed Cohen's d to estimate effect size of gratitude enhancement program on preschoolers' aggression. The findings of this study were as follows. Firstly, gratitude enhancement program and general education program were all effective in reducing preschoolers' aggression(aggression against things, verbal aggression and total aggression) perceived by their teacher except of aggression against others. But gratitude enhancement program was more effective than general education program in reducing these sort of aggression. Meanwhile, only gratitude enhancement program was effective in reducing preschoolers' aggression against others. Secondly, gratitude enhancement program was effective in reducing preschoolers' aggression(aggression against things, aggression against others, verbal aggression and total aggression).

유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 감사성향, 양육태도가 가족탄력성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Young Children Mother's Gratitude, Child-rearing Attitude on Family Resilience)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of family resilience, gratitude, and child-rearing attitude and to identify predicting factors of family resilience among mothers of young children. A correlative research design was be used for this study with self-administered questionnaires. The subjects were 248 mothers of young children from kindergarten located in Jeonnam and Gwangju provinces in Korea. Data were collected between May to June, 2013. Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regressions with PASW Statistics 18 (SPSS 18.0) program were used for data analysis. The major findings are summarized as follows: (1) Family resilience was closely related to gratitude and four types of child-rearing attitudes. Gratitude was closely related to four types of child-rearing attitudes. And rejective attitude had significantly negative relations family resilience and gratitude. (2) The significant factors affecting family resilience were mother's education level, gratitude, affective attitude, rejective attitude, autonomous attitude and controlling attitude which explained 63% of the variance. The results indicate that gratitude and child-rearing attitude were significant factors associated with family resilience among mothers of young children. In order to increase the family resilience among mothers of young children, family programs that deal with both gratitude and child-rearing attitude should be designed.

Effect of Gratitude Training Program on Dental Hygiene Students' Gratitude Disposition, Self-Esteem, and Happiness

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether a gratitude training program for preservice dental hygienists affects their gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and happiness. Dental hygiene students were recruited from a college in D and administered a pretest. The 76 selected participants were primarily those who had never written a gratitude journal. Participants were then randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. Three participants failed to complete the program, leaving 73 subjects in the final analysis. Data were analyzed using the ${\chi}^2$ test, independent sample t-test, and analysis of covariance. The mean gratitude disposition score improved from $31.11{\pm}5.55$ in the pretest to $34.41{\pm}4.38$ in the posttest in the experimental group and from $31.44{\pm}4.41$ to $32.06{\pm}4.63$ in the control group. The mean self-esteem score improved from $31.22{\pm}4.03$ to $33.16{\pm}3.44$ in the experimental group and from $30.53{\pm}4.42$ to $30.97{\pm}3.80$ in the control group. The mean happiness score improved from $19.54{\pm}2.64$ to $21.78{\pm}2.43$ in the experimental group and from $19.64{\pm}3.32$ to $20.08{\pm}2.91$ in the control group. All of the participants improved their gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and happiness scores while participating in the gratitude training program, and it is expected that if such positive emotions can be sustained, they will naturally acquire the basic requirements of dental hygienists and build a better vocational consciousness and a higher sense of duty, as well as have a further positive effect on the quality of dental medical service. Further studies should be conducted to propose a concrete plan to expand and operate this gratitude training program more effectively.

우울장애 환자의 자살사고에 우울, 낙관성과 감사성향이 미치는 영향 (Impact of Depression, Optimism and Gratitude on Suicidal Ideation of Patients with Depressive Disorder)

  • Objective : To present effects of depression, optimism and gratitude on suicidal ideation of patients with depressive disorders. Methods : Using analyses of covariance (ANCOVA), scores on the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R), and Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6) were compared between depressive disorder patients with higher and lower levels of suicidal ideations. A linear regression model was fitted to detect independent correlates for suicidal ideations. Results : Significantly greater level of depression and lower level of gratitude were characterized by depressive disorder patients with higher level of suicidal ideations. The fitted regression model presented that depression and gratitude were independent correlates for suicidal ideations in patients with depressive disorders. Conclusion : Our findings suggest that gratitude may be associated with lowering the level of suicidal ideation in patients with depression.

신입생을 위한 감사증진 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 감사성향, 공감능력, 그리고 학과만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Gratitude Enhancement Program for Freshmen on Pre-service Early Childhood Teacher's Gratitude Disposition, Empathic Ability, Department Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아교육과 신입생들을 위한 감사증진 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 감사성향, 공감능력, 그리고 학과만족에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구대상은 경기도에 소재한 3년제 전문대학교 유아교육과에 재학 중인 신입생 55명이며, 이들 중 28명은 실험집단에, 27명은 비교집단에 배치되었다. 실험집단에 속한 유아교육과 신입생들은 2018년 14학기 동안 인지, 정서, 행동적 영역이 통합되어 구성된 감사증진 프로그램을 경험하였다. 본 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해서 프로그램 실시 사전과 사후에 유아교육과 신입생들의 감사성향, 공감능력, 학과만족 검사를 실시하여 SPSS WIN 20.0을 활용한 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 유아교육과 신입생을 위한 감사증진 프로그램은 예비유아교사의 감사성향, 공감능력, 학과만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아교육과 신입생의 학과적응과 학습 지속력 향상을 위한 프로그램의 구체적 방법론을 제시하였다는 데에 의의가 있다.

서비스 접점에서 종업원의 관계투자가 감사, 신세 그리고 구매행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Relational Efforts on Gratitude, Indebtedness and Purchase Behaviors in Service Encounter)

  • 서비스 기업은 서비스접점에서 고객의 구매행동을 위해 다양한 관계투자를 하고 있다. 기존 선행연구가 관계품질을 보다 인지적인 요소에 초점을 뒀다면 본 연구는 감정적인 변인들인 감사와 신세에 초점을 두고 소비자의 구매행동에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 선행연구는 감사를 감사의 감정과 감사기반 호혜적 행동으로 구분하고 있다. 이를 토대로 검증하였고 본 연구의 결과와 시사점은 다음과 같다. 관계투자는 감사의 두 요소인 감사의 감정과 감사기반 호혜적 행동의도에 모두 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 감사는 구매행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 판매원의 관계투자는 고객에게 구매에 대한 부담감을 야기하고 이러한 감정 또한 구매행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들은 감사와 신세가 소비자의 구매행동에 영향을 주는 선행요인이 될 수 있음을 보여준다. 그러나 신세는 임계치에 근접해서 유의하게 나타났고 감사의 감정과 감사기반 호혜적 행동과 비교해볼 때 구매행동에 미치는 영향력은 가장 낮다. 따라서 소비자의 구매행동에 영향을 미치는 마케팅변수로 신세의 감정유발에 대해서는 신중한 접근을 할 필요가 있다고 여겨진다.
