  • The inspection of a meter is an action that measures the amount of electricity, water and gas used to impose user on a charge. In past days, a meter who visit consumer to look over meter and write data to the ledger and then go back his office to calculates the inspection of a meter. On the other hand, the AMR(Automatic Meter Reading) is remote control system to measure the amount of utility used and monitor a condition of the meter. A study about AMRS is started at 1960 all over the world and a successful application example is presented continuously in American, Europe and Japan etc. In this paper we use a check meter that is used in past days and we add an AMR to it. AMR receives data that is the amounts of electricity from the check meter and stores those ...

  • Present status of the proton therapy project at the Wakasa Wan Energy Research Center, Japan, is reported. Construction of the accelerator system was finished in 2001, followed by some trials of the production of the flat clinical irradiation field for the clinical usage. After the patient positioning system with X-ray CT was verified, the first clinical trial was started for two patients with prostate cancer.

  • Owing to a reliance on imported products from Europe and Japan, the use of logistics equipment with poor energy efficiency coupled with high maintenance costs can lead to high operating costs for some domestic logistic centers. To lower their operating costs, the logistic centers use motorized roller conveyors. In order to commercialize this process, it is necessary to establish the test criteria and assess the reliability of the process. Currently, there exists no standard verification method to test the reliability of motorized roller conveyors. In this study, we propose reliability assessment criteria for a: i) reliability test, ii) environmental test, iii) safety test, and iv) lifetime test.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the titanium castability with a spin type casting machine(TiCast, Super R, Selec, Osaka. Japan). We tested phosphate bonded investment "Rematitan$^{(R)}$Plus(Dentaurum, Inc., Pforzheim, Germany)"of mesh grid pattern and plate pattern. Four different mold temperatures(room temperature, 200$^{\circ}C$, 400$^{\circ}C$ and 600$^{\circ}C$) were prepared for the present study. In mesh grid pattern with spruing of $\varphi$0.88㎜ dimeter, when the mold temperature increased, high percentage of castability was gained. Mold temperature showed a highly significant(p<0.05) correlation on the castability, In plate pattern, the higher the mold temperature during casting, the greater the adhesive phenomenon between Ti surface and the investment.

  • This short paper is about the background, progress, achievement as well as the direction of Urban Regeneration (UR) Policy since 2013 in Korea. The UR in Korea has been recognized and initiated late compared to UK, Japan as well as many other countries that have achieved economic growth earlier than Korea. In 2013, the Special Law on UR established and the UR project has begun in earnest. However, there are still a number of pending issues required to be resolved for the regeneration of declining cities. After reviewing the background of UR in Korea, we would go through the progress and achievement of UR and then we look at the follow-up measures required to be resolved in short period as well as longer term for successful UR.

The Conclusions of this Study are as Follows. First, Improvemental Tradition Housing Constructions by the Native Capital were Hard Tasks, under the Situation that Japanese Imperial Constructions have Monopolized the Whole Korean Constructions and it has been Prosperous. Second, Improvemental Tradition Housing Constructions by the Native Capital Imported Modernized Capital Management System, It, after that, Influenced our Constructions Seriously. Third, It is a Desiable Fact that Acceded Traditional Style, Provided the Small-middle Class Housing for the Common People on those Demand. Fourth, It is a Point that Contribute the Mooing Problem of Korea. Fifth, It is that Supply the Low-class Housing.

  • The US-China trade war forced a reluctant semiconductor industry into someone else's fight, a very different position from its leading role in the 1980s trade conflict with Japan. This paper describes how the political economy of the global semiconductor industry has evolved since the 1980s. That includes both a shift in the business model behind how semiconductors go from conception to a finished product as well as the geographic reorientation toward Asia of demand and manufactured supply. It uses that lens to explain how, during the modern conflict with China, US policymakers turned to a legally complex set of export restrictions targeting the semiconductor supply chain in the attempt to safeguard critical infrastructure in the telecommunications sector. The potentially far-reaching tactics included weaponization of exports by relatively small but highly specialized American software service and equipment providers in order to constrain Huawei, a Fortune Global 500 company. It describes potential costs of such policies, some of their unintended consequences, and whether policymakers might push them further in the attempt to constrain other Chinese firms.
